In the current FF7 speedrun any% no slots category they manipulate the Materia Keeper boss in Nibelheim into gaining lucky 7s to kill it instantly from one tick of poison. I'ts pretty cool and worth checking out!
Exactly my thought. I didn't know enemies could get it, nor did I know Barret's score could be increased infinitely with that exploit. All the rest, though, I knew.

Safer-Sephiroth was designed that way to be more a challange. Fun fact is that his ultimate spell - Super Nova can't kill team and is HP based, also in Japan original ver of FF7 animation was WAAAAAYYYY shorter. 5. One each floor of Witai Pagoda you can see a kanji fighting floor, that represent different virtues of a warror also despite all fight seems to be take place in same place, that kanji carries over from field to battle screen. That meens Square did 5 different battle screens just for that. 6. While they are alone under Highwind, she will say smth way different to Cloud that imply ....they will have sex. No joke. Tifa
The only new thing for me was the Sakaguchi portrait. If you want to discover really deep hidden stuff, check out some of GarlandTheGreat videos about FF VII. I probably wouldn't've known about it, were it not for a challenge run strategy for Materia Keeper that abuses this fact (specifically in relation to Poison damage).
Man, I've gotten half way through the first disc like 8 times in the last 10 years due to various reasons (lost my psp, computer crashed, etc.) So 3 weeks ago I discover there's a switch port which is perfect, and I just beat the final boss 3 days ago. And I gotta say I totally get you guys and all the friends who obsess over it and it's legendary status. This game is a pure masterpiece and too fun and full of secrets and worthy of obsession 100% and I'm suuuch a fanboy now and it revived my love of RPGs
I played FF2 on SNES and got hooked on the series. Then played FF3 and was like "WOW!" Then came FF7 and I was like "WOWWOWWOWWOWWOW!!!!!" Truth is they are all still great games! I think starting in the series earlier gave me more appreciation for FF7.
I played FF1 first when I was very very very young. I got NES in 1st grade. I was born in '84, so I might have been like 6 when I played it. I did not understand how to play it, so I don't think I got anywhere in it. Later when I played FF2 on SNES I really got into the series. FF3 just floored me though.
Shred Head I’m 83, so I’m just ahead of you. I think being so young might be one of the reasons I didnt enjoy it. But i played the remake on psp and didn’t see anything special either. Of course, it’s hard to play 1 after 4 and 7. I had the same problem with GTA 3. I didnt play it until after San Andreas and Vice City and I thought 3 was an overrated hunk of shit.
Final Fantasy VII was not a part of my childhood, as I only played it recently. I still consider it a legendary game, even if I never managed to beat it yet...
learn enemy skills big guard and white wind and be level 65, should be easy after that, final attack combined with phoenix summon doesn't hurt, but its not needed to win
I knew all of these. They're not exactly obscure... Also, in regards to the dating mechanic, there's a way to infinitely boost Tifa's score. When you get caught by Rude in the elevator of the Shinra building and are put in the holding cells, before you talk to anyone, check the door. Tifa will ask you something about if you think you can escape. Tell her "leave it me" and she'll say "Oh Cloud, you're so brave!" and your score with her will go up, then the dialogue will end, and you can check the door again. Do this as many times as desired to infinitely boost Tifa's dating score, guaranteeing that you'll get her.
I completed Ff7 twice when it came out and recently playing the remake got me nostalgic for the original so replaying the original and getting all things I missed as a kid
Wow, never realized how lucky it was to have gotten Pandora's Box enemy skill on my first playthrough. I always tried to get it on later attempts, but Dragon Zombie is also immune to Manipulation
I never really had a problem getting Pandora's Box. Usually, by the time I encounter the Dragon Zombie I've got all 4 Enemy Skill material on my current party, anyway. And I don't recall ever having a Dragon Zombie try to cast it without enough MP. It's usually the first thing the first one uses against me. my biggest problem is typically surviving to win the battle, but that's what Final Attack-Phoenix is for, right?
you don't need to manipulate it, you just kill it and it will use the attack. It's similar to what happens to the "Final Attack" materia. But, as the guy from the video said, the dragon has to have enough MP or it will not happen.
I'm playing through this game for the first time as my first Final Fantasy game and I'm grinding away at the Northern Crater. A few hours ago, I accidentally leveled Tifa and got her Hit Points to 7777 and had no idea about this effect prior. She was using it on the potted enimies that ask for Elixers and are good for AP grinding. The game was stuck in the Lucky 7 mode while she did seemingly endless 0 damage to them as I didn't give the Elixers yet. I thought the game was experiencing a massive glitch and almost had to reset.
Yeah I knew all of these. But I was obessed with reading up developer stuff about the game when I was younger and just hidden stuff in general. One thing you may not know about is if you go into the really tall building in kalm. And walk into the window frame. You will actually pop your head out. And be treated to a view of Kalm town from a different angle.
Meh, I've always said it that way, and probably always will. Pre-voice acting characters spent far too long in the wild, so are always fair game for pronunciations :D. ~Darryl
It’s weird how a lot of UA-camrs say it wrong. They pronounce it like it’s toughfie and replace the t with a y. And that dark kefka guy gets mad when people correct him and yells about how it’s not spelled Yooffie lol. I get how people can get attached to the way they say things though. For me it’s Tiedus and can’t be Teadus because of how sissyfied it sounds, but Teadus is the correct way to say Tidus.
Plus, I never really thought of "Zantetsuken" to be the name of the attack. I always assumed they were just naming the weapon he used. Like, when you lose Odin in FF8, he's replaced with Gilgamesh, who uses attacks called "Excalibur," "Excalipoor," "Masamune," and "Zantetsuken." Then in FF7 you have Gunge Lance,
Seriuosly. Summons cost so much MP I tended to only use them on boss enemies and other enemies that are immune to instant KO. I'm much more used to seeing the spear than the sword.
Wow, even though I knew a bit about most of them (except for that Sakaguchi pic) there was always something new for me! I didn't know monsters could have the 7777 status and the Pandora's box only once per save file is really an evil glitch! Great job on this one!
I'm guessing no one tried, but you can manipulate (albeit with a VERY low probability) the dragon zombie, and get Pandora's Box that way. This was true on the original PS version, so I dunno what it is like on the subsequent ones.
Also when facing the Gi Natak enemy in Cosmo canyon using any type of healing potion/magic will actually cause damage. The boss can be killed with one elixir or phoenix down.
The only one I didn't know was the portrait. I didn't know the exact list for Yuffie stealing materia, but I knew the general gist. The rest of them I thought were fairly common knowledge at this point.
rode the sephiroth in smash hype and finally played this for the first time over the past month, and i already knew pretty much all of this just from wiki diving to clear up the end game content....
I didn't know about Sakaguchi's photo in the game I knew about the lucky 7s status, but I didn't know about enemies being able to get it, nor did I know about being poisoned while afflicted I did not know about Pandora's box only being casted once per game... That's handy to know I knew about the rating mechanic, though I didn't know about the infinite loop exploit with Garret's RVs. I did know though that there is one with Yuffie though (just go through the cutscene after the fight with her, and get all but the last option right, rinse and repeat until satisfied) Didn't know that Yuffie holds preference in which materia she steals, though it doesn't seem likely that that matters in a normal run. The thing with Odin's attacks, I knew (I remember experimenting during a boss battle with that) As for Safer Sephiroth, I did not know that summoning KotR during Jenova Synthesis and taking out Bizarro Sephiroth effected his HP.
Oh good i wasn't the only one who realised how much horror it would be if an enemy got lucky 7s on your party. Imagine that happening before youtube? No one would believe you.
Lucky 7's doesn't quite work the same way for enemies. They only get the "all attacks do 7777 damage" part; not the "unleash 64 attacks non-stop" part. Which, mind you, could still be pretty dangerous.
Been playing the game since it came out. Beat it (around) 18 times, and still, to this day have never seen "All Lucky 7's". Just hasn't ever came up. None about it forever too. Crazy.
Another fun fact: You can avoid Yuffie stealing your materia by using the menu/walk/menu trick. Enter/exit the menu, walk half step, repeat. You can skip the cut-scene completely, and it will occur when you reach Wutai, instead. This allows you to keep all your materia and get it back all at once.
Fun fact: the word factoid doesn't actually mean "small fact" or trivia like it's used in this video several times. It actually means misconception that has been around so long that people often mistake it as a fact. Ironically, just like the false definition of the word itself.
The portrait was a new one for me, cheeky of him. The Pandora’s box catch is also news too me - I never realized that it was a one shot chance. That’s haaaarsh man.
I love how FF7 was so good, that most people thought that getting out of Midgar was the end of the game! that's how big it was lol I was like "the rest of the discs might be for some crazy story and cutscene movies? I just hate that Square just can't do what people want. I hate that they have to make a COMPLETELY different game every single time in the same series, they have to COMPLETELY revamp the entire magic system also etc. AND i KNEW that when they announced the remake, even before i saw the type of game it was gonna be that they couldn't just give us exactly what we wanted, they HAD to fuck it up by making it a god damn action RPG instead of keeping it turned based just by making the graphics incredible and elaborating on the already existing world that was there giving it a sense of awesome scale. Sure change the story around and add new bits of lore and elaborate on that also. But don't turn the best RPG of all time in alot of people's eyes into a fucking free running action game with RPG elements and call it a remake ffs... We already god this game in FF7 Crysis core etc... :( i hate that they can't do anything right
I really do hope it happens. And although turn based battle systems would bring a more nostalgic feel to it. You also have to realize they want to bring in younger fans to the game. And we all know kids today probably wouldn't have the patience to set up their materia and wait their turn. At least I know my kids would give up after the first hour or two. I have the game on the ps3 and although my kids love the story. They watched Advent Children. And the Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core cut scene UA-cam movies. They have watched me play the game and almost immediately scoffed at my suggestion to try it.
Pokemon is still popular and its turn based! honestly i wish they'd make a hard version of pokemon. i don't understand why they think a turn based rpg wouldn't be popular. maybe the reason Final Fantasy hasn't had the as good sales numbers is because they AREN'T turn based. i haven't bought a final fantasy game after the 10 series because they aren't turn based. they're my favorite kind of game, 2nd is turn based strategy games. i'm still going to get the remake soley because it's my favorite game ever. but damn its disappointing that they won't make it turn based. millions of people buy 2d games on their phones, millions of people play pokemon. and who knows, making ff7 remake turn based might reignite the genre.
Had every enemy skill, killed all the weapons, had all the materia, even got Aries last limit break. Greatest game of all time! Would do it all over again if there was a remake!
I knew these but one that could cause confusion is you saying “points against” a character for the date. Is that someone losing points or gaining them? Clearer distinction between “this increases favor for (name)” and “this decreases favor for (name)” would have been super awesome.
Note: the word "factoid" does not mean what many people think it means. The "oid" suffix means "resembling". For example, humanoid means "resembling human", but not actually human. So a factoid isn't actually a fact. It's a notion that resembles a fact. Factoid does not mean "miniature interesting fact", it means "not really a fact, but is often considered one". So if you call something a factoid, your are stating it isn't actually true, and that usually isn't the intention.
It depends on the context. For your reference though, since you brought it up, both the Oxford and Cambridge dictionaries list the primarily definition of factoid as "A brief or trivial item of news or information." :) ~Darryl
While we're on it, the phrase "all but" doesn't mean what most ppl use it as either. FFXV for example; Ignis constantly says "all but" and always in the wrong way. "That cave is all but full of enemies" means "that cave has no enemies but a lot of other stuff", it does not mean "yes i agree that cave must have lots of enemies". It means literally the opposite of how everybody uses it.
Watching this, that bit about the Pandora's Box ability... makes me think, just what are the hardest Blue Magics to learn in FF? Or just the hardest abilities to learn/master? There's a video idea for y'all...
My first experience with all lucky 7s was Yuffies final boss fight against her father in the pagoda. I reduced him to 7777 hp and watched in awe as he wrecked me. For years after, I thought that was just one of his normal attacks so i kind of regarded him as a super boss (since he was optional) and didn't get around to challenging him again for quite some time.
Daniel Escobar what's the second attack and how do you proc it? I was looking for a comment like this, I remember reading about it and never getting it to occur way on back in the 90s
I'm not sure why either. Ha. To each their own. That game does have some excellent music and really fun limit break, though! So there's definitely that!
Anthony Lankford Be careful what you wish for, rushing is the bane of games development. I'd rather them delay the release so they can iron out flaws, rather than having them rush and have the game possibly have a game-breaking flaw.
Martin Smith my problem is that the announcement was originally for a "remaster" which shouldn't have taken as long as it did for square to change lanes and decide to remake the game from the ground up 3 years after announcing the remaster square announced it was a full remake and they had to restart the project.....this is duke nukem all over again.
The Great Glacier in Area 6 there is a cave where you can get a Elixir but unlike the rest of game you can still move while "received elixir" is on the screen and as long as you don't take the "received elixir" text off the screen you can leave the cave and go back and there will be another elixir.
True, Takahashi submitted a script for what would become Xenogears as a possible FF7 project. It was rejected for being "too dark". Xenogears ended up being developed at the same time as Final Fantasy 8. The development of FF8 went over budget, and the Xenogears project was told to cut corners in order to compensate. This led to the severely "abridged" Disc 2 of Xenogears. Blame Squall and company for what happened to Xenogears, a game that could have been their greatest masterpiece of all time. EDIT: Interesting aside, Cloud DOES foreshadow Xenogears in FFVII. When he's incapacitated and wheelchair-bound in Mideel, Cloud will mumble seemingly random crap when you attempt to talk to him. He mentions something about "A billion mirror fragments.....small.....light.....taken.....angel's.....singing voices.....zeno.....gias....."
I knew about -Lucky 7's -Yuffie's Materia Limit -Safer Sephy's Increased Stats -Dating Mechanic (though I heard a rumour you could get Cid) -Pandora's Box (though didn't know if he tried to use it with no MP that also counted to you not ever getting it) I kinda knew about Odin's attack, I just never pay attention/used him much, but I know that it's a thing in like FFIX Didn't know about the Sakaguchi portrait though.
Anthony Lankford i beat a week after i bought it. I didnt use x3 to speed up dialog boxes though i dont mind them. I used it a bit to grind tho or to backtrack
just a critique here, so dont get offended. the entire video was really drawn out, but then again that might be your style. just noting that none of these were particularly earth shattering revelations for a game thats been out 20 years, so i just expected bullet points. nice vid though, informative. thank you.
Hey Matt. No offence taken! Often I find that people might be aware of things, but perhaps not the background behind them. So, the purpose of my videos is often to get quite granular, as opposed to being very top-level, to provide additional insights and information around familiar topics. Hope that makes sense! ~Darryl
The channel gets more money for longer videos. 10 minutes seems to be a big benchmark - if you get people to spend 10 minutes watching your video youtube's algorithm helps out a lot. It's why there's a lot of watered down content out there these days.
i knew about the 7777 status, never did it, but i didn't know that you could get it if you land on 7777 hp, thought you had to have a max hp of 7777, and full health. I also didn't know enemies could get it, nor did i know that it only attacks 64 times. I prefer that it's not drawn out for the sake of drawing it out, but actually going deeper into the information presented.
Bjorick, for the lucky 7's, I read that people would use gameshark to manually set everyone's max HP to 7777 so whenever they entered into a fight at full health, they'll start at lucky 7 status.
You guys are probably thinking of just riding the gondola like normal. You can take anyone on the gondola but during the special date with the fireworks and the play, those 4 are the only ones.
I forgot about the Pandora's Box missable magic spell. Thanks for reminding me, i was shocked and glad to know that i got that spell when i was doing a check list of completionist stuff on my PC run of FF7. Heck i didn't know it was a one time spell back in the ps1 days... this is pretty unfair and i don't think you can get all 4 enemy skill materias in the game at once to get this spell.
there was a rumor once that you could go on a 'date' with naniki during the second gold saucer trip too, but any and all pics that show it are all photoshoped, just a hoax, sadly...its odd that yuffie is doable since shes an optional charicter...
She originally wasn't planned to be optional, and wutai was going to have a bit more impact on the story, but was scrapped (I believe due to time constraints) makes sense that they'd already have the assets for the scene in the game and simply not remove it
I didn't know about any of these this is freaking awesome video and thanks for putting all this stuff out I just hope they keep all of this stuff for the new game the Remake and add additional Easter eggs and secrets because it's it's a beautiful game from start to finish it is still to this day I think unmatched and a perfect game I don't think anybody can play from beginning to end without smiling and saying I had a fantastic time
If you get Safer Sephiroth over 130,000 HP then it is impossible for Knights of the Round to OHKO. This counts for as well Bizarro-Sephiroth (Max of 140,000). Still is an easy fight, but the little factor nuances can definitely be noticed based on a player's styles.
Which is why I never get or at least use KOTR in the final boss battles. It takes away all the fun and the challenge of using the skills you've built up throughout the game to survive and take down such a strong opponent. Nerfing the final boss is not my idea of a good time.
just getting knights of the round is an accomplishment on its own,to actually use it other than to see it once,is just useless and pointless, and pretty boring, mostly used by people who just dont care too much about thinking or having any challenge in the game
It's good for some of the post-end-game bosses. But yeah, not really supposed to need it for Sephiroth. FF and other RPGs tend to have end-game curves like this, such as in X where you can get the ultimate weapons which are hilariously overpowered and will kill anything except the toughest stuff by merely breathing on it. But they're fairly out of the way so you're unlikely to get them in the main story. And don't even get me started about Snapdragon on Tactics Ogre. Such a shame because it was a cool mechanic. But I digress.
The Lemming well according to this vid you should use it on Jenova Synthesis to make the battles afterward more challenging even if you wont use it on Sephy himself.
Cait Sif, is ACTUALLY REESE, a member of Shinra's board of directors. He can be seen as early as the assault on Shinra HQ. (He is the one who tries to beg the president not to drop the plate on Sector 7). Therefore, he can also be seen in F.F. 7 remake.
One you didn't get:
You can go talk to Reno before talking to Aeris in the church. He is behind the door.
You can do this in Remake too - he is talking to the Shinra troops
One thing that I didn’t know, is that Rude will never attack Tifa if there’s another target available in the party.

This happened to me too
@@hyruleguy9569 Holy crap, it's been 6 years since I posted that? It doesn't feel that long at all.

Damn so that leads to death
Poison doesn't care who put it on you. In fact, getting Materia Keeper to 7777 while poisoned was a big part of certain speedruns for a while.
Honestly who doesn't know that Odin has two attacks?
lol was thinking the same thing

Real properly gay.
He said beat it, not side quests
DJ Contra has it right. Big Guard and White Wind on the E. Skill materia are your friends.
First time I beat it I used w/item and megalixir combo to get 99 megalixirs.
Too bad its so easy I'm not a rpg guy and even I could beat with almost never dying
You can also do the same thing with Barret in Cosmo Canyon
@@averageplayers5288 yes... That was in the video... 🤔
Sashi I made the comment before watching the video
@Hydra ....
@Hydra Obviously it's Yuffie
"points against" is a poor choice of words.
Another fun one for Rocket Town is the poster for Bahamut Lagoon, not just our Lord and Sagakuchi's picture lol
Thanks, I never knew that game so certainly never noticed the poster for it. It was Icicle Inn, by the way, unless there are two (I youtubed it).
I completed Ff7 twice when it came out and recently playing the remake got me nostalgic for the original so replaying the original and getting all things I missed as a kid
Points “against” meaning points FOR the date. Oh my head.
Yeah, that's confusing.
The stellar music written by one Noberrr Errrmatsu.
Jon Dowe NPI thought he pronounced it nobrew unatsu
That's racist. 🤣
First game I played that actually invoked an emotional response. (I cried when Aeris died)
Same.
I think we all did when we first played ff7 actually i cried then threw my controller at my tv i was pissed when aeris died and i was sad too
I was so confused, I kept thinking it's a trick she can't really be dead. Truly an amazing moment in the game
My most emotional moments were Red's dad story and at the temple with the cat. I al ready knew Aeris dies so I was prepared.
@@ezarrgames3108 aeris was more emotional no offense
Wow, a list of FF7 where I didn't know all of them, good job!
The first one with Sakaguchi's portrait is the only one I didn't already know, so by default that one was the most interesting.
Wow, never realized how lucky it was to have gotten Pandora's Box enemy skill on my first playthrough. I always tried to get it on later attempts, but Dragon Zombie is also immune to Manipulation
I wonder if it's possible to throw a few mana potions at the zombie dragons. Would be a good way to guarantee a cast if you can
I never really had a problem getting Pandora's Box. Usually, by the time I encounter the Dragon Zombie I've got all 4 Enemy Skill material on my current party, anyway. And I don't recall ever having a Dragon Zombie try to cast it without enough MP. It's usually the first thing the first one uses against me.
my biggest problem is typically surviving to win the battle, but that's what Final Attack-Phoenix is for, right?
or just equipping all your enemy skill ,materia on one party member, they dont have to survive XD
The Materia system is a gem of game mechanics. Enemy Skill was OP as hell Mastered out.
you don't need to manipulate it, you just kill it and it will use the attack.
How do people know who the person on that tiny painting actually is? I don't recognize anybody. Or was it confirmed by the devs?
It could be anyone really
The picture of the the guy I one of the houses in rocket town is the music writer for the game.
It was confirmed by the devs.
@@mr.battle20 Sweet. Mr. Uematsu appears in the remake as well, handing us the 'good night' theme record.
It's Yuffie not Yaffy
Simone Nuzzolese THANK YOU
Meh, I've always said it that way, and probably always will. Pre-voice acting characters spent far too long in the wild, so are always fair game for pronunciations :D. ~Darryl
Its not YAFFY. He said it was YUHffie :DDD but idc
It's cool
Odin having two attacks is not really a secret. Unless person juyst didn't pay attrention to the game.
yeah, i thought it was pretty obvious.
Plus, I never really thought of "Zantetsuken" to be the name of the attack. I always assumed they were just naming the weapon he used. Like, when you lose Odin in FF8, he's replaced with Gilgamesh, who uses attacks called "Excalibur," "Excalipoor," "Masamune," and "Zantetsuken." Then in FF7 you have Gunge Lance,
purplefreak3 I think the secret is why he has two attacks. I could be wrong though.
Seriuosly. Summons cost so much MP I tended to only use them on boss enemies and other enemies that are immune to instant KO. I'm much more used to seeing the spear than the sword.
Matt Morgan I'm the same way. Unless I've been hit with status effects and I have no choice.
This was pretty cool, although very drawn out. I never knew about the photo in Rocket Town.
Wow, even though I knew a bit about most of them (except for that Sakaguchi pic) there was always something new for me! I didn't know monsters could have the 7777 status and the Pandora's box only once per save file is really an evil glitch! Great job on this one!
Had no idea about Sakaguchi's picture! The Back to the Future III-photo in Resident Evil 2 beats the oddity though.
I'm guessing no one tried, but you can manipulate (albeit with a VERY low probability) the dragon zombie, and get Pandora's Box that way. This was true on the original PS version, so I dunno what it is like on the subsequent ones.
yeah i thought it was normal when i got it first try...
There was definitely a few ones I didn't know
rode the sephiroth in smash hype and finally played this for the first time over the past month, and i already knew pretty much all of this just from wiki diving to clear up the end game content....
I didn't know about Sakaguchi's photo in the game
I knew about the lucky 7s status, but I didn't know about enemies being able to get it, nor did I know about being poisoned while afflicted
I did not know about Pandora's box only being casted once per game... That's handy to know
I knew about the rating mechanic, though I didn't know about the infinite loop exploit with Garret's RVs. I did know though that there is one with Yuffie though (just go through the cutscene after the fight with her, and get all but the last option right, rinse and repeat until satisfied)
Didn't know that Yuffie holds preference in which materia she steals, though it doesn't seem likely that that matters in a normal run.
The thing with Odin's attacks, I knew (I remember experimenting during a boss battle with that)
As for Safer Sephiroth, I did not know that summoning KotR during Jenova Synthesis and taking out Bizarro Sephiroth effected his HP.
btw, I still hate Yuffie. Once I'm done farming ribbon for the group, I find no more use for her

Knew/didnt knew exactly the same as you. 🤔
Crazy.
Anyone on their first playthrough finds out Odin has 2 attacks about 30 minutes after acquiring it when they try to one-shot Materia Keeper.
Mispronunciations aside, you actually taught me 2 new things about this game, which is quite hard to do at this point.
I wonder how many people know that Magic Defense was broken on equipment?
I knew.
I didn't know about the "All Lucky 7's" effect. That's pretty neat
Yuhffie?! You sure know a lot, bro!!
Man!! This vid made me feel good... I remember getting Pandora's Box on my playthrough waaaaaay back in the day. I used that skill soooooo much!
Oh god my head wanted to explode every time he said Yuffies name
Another fun fact: You can avoid Yuffie stealing your materia by using the menu/walk/menu trick. Enter/exit the menu, walk half step, repeat. You can skip the cut-scene completely, and it will occur when you reach Wutai, instead. This allows you to keep all your materia and get it back all at once.
Can you still do the entire side quest?
I actually happened across the "all lucky 7's" by chance while I was trying to get the omnislash
Hey me too
Fun fact: the word factoid doesn't actually mean "small fact" or trivia like it's used in this video several times. It actually means misconception that has been around so long that people often mistake it as a fact. Ironically, just like the false definition of the word itself.
I thought for sure the item duplication glitch would have made it on here.
Me too. That's the thing I'm going to miss most about the remake...T_T #RIPWItemGlitch
That was an awesome and surprisingly stable glitch.
Why? Everyone knows about that by now.
Final Fantasy... Final
@ATXK Yep, the new Pokemon games, Persona and New Super Mario Bros series are not relevant in the modern age.
Your a pussy.
The only one I didn’t know was the developer put a picture of himself in the game. The Odin one made me roll my eyes.
Had every enemy skill, killed all the weapons, had all the materia, even got Aries last limit break. Greatest game of all time! Would do it all over again if there was a remake!

Today, I learned you can date Barret
Pandora's Box was a really good one. Thanks for the video!
Never realized enemies can get lucky 7s. Imagine Ruby or Emerald pulling that lol
Oh.
While we're on it,
the phrase "all but" doesn't mean what most ppl use it as either.
I had Tifas max hp as 7777...it was great
You've used your luck for your entire life
My first experience with all lucky 7s was Yuffies final boss fight against her father in the pagoda. I reduced him to 7777 hp and watched in awe as he wrecked me. For years after, I thought that was just one of his normal attacks so i kind of regarded him as a super boss (since he was optional) and didn't get around to challenging him again for quite some time.
Michael Edwards that is hilarious. I just learned it’s possible for enemies and bosses to get lucky 7s
Happy Birthday FF7! Great video btw!!
If part 3 of remake doesn't give us a pic of sagaguchi in a house in rocket town, i will be getting a refund.
Typhoon summon also has 2 attacks.

Wish this youtube channel was around back in 1998, could have saved me at least 10 hours of game time 😅
I wish they would hurry the hell up with the remake. I'm tired of waiting and hearing every year at E3 that it's just that much closer to happening.
Anthony Lankford
Be careful what you wish for, rushing is the bane of games development. I'd rather them delay the release so they can iron out flaws, rather than having them rush and have the game possibly have a game-breaking flaw.
Martin Smith WRONG.
The Last Guardian was never rushed. Still sucked balls
Martin Smith I agree with you. Like I was a kid we had to wait five years for Mario bros 3 but that games is still one of the best games ever.
Martin Smith my problem is that the announcement was originally for a "remaster" which shouldn't have taken as long as it did for square to change lanes and decide to remake the game from the ground up
3 years after announcing the remaster square announced it was a full remake and they had to restart the project.....this is duke nukem all over again.
MrPandarilla no. They announced remake from the start. It was never ment to be remaster. Watch the anouncement if You don't remember it.
The Great Glacier in Area 6 there is a cave where you can get a Elixir but unlike the rest of game you can still move while "received elixir" is on the screen and as long as you don't take the "received elixir" text off the screen you can leave the cave and go back and there will be another elixir.
1 and a half of these I didn't know.
I knew all but 1 and a half of them. Had no idea that enemies could get all lucky 7’s. And I didn’t know about the picture in rocket town.
for your last one you can master more e-skill by use it on your self in battal
Not true.
Best thing in the game was enemy skills. Played around with it a whole lot.
What about Xenogears was supposed to be ff7.
Ostang Vulkahn and it should’ve been
True, Takahashi submitted a script for what would become Xenogears as a possible FF7 project.
He mentions something about "A billion mirror fragments.....small.....light.....taken.....angel's.....singing voices.....zeno.....gias....."

just a critique here, so dont get offended. the entire video was really drawn out, but then again that might be your style. just noting that none of these were particularly earth shattering revelations for a game thats been out 20 years, so i just expected bullet points. nice vid though, informative. thank you.
Matt Trent nice critic without offending
I knew about the 7777, but I didn't know the enemies could land on the effect too!
In the gold saucer date actually you can take red xiii also! I did it once. Necer got barret actually

It's fun to make up stories
I forgot about the Pandora's Box missable magic spell.
Thanks for reminding me, i was shocked and glad to know that i got that spell when i was doing a check list of completionist stuff on my PC run of FF7.
Heck i didn't know it was a one time spell back in the ps1 days... this is pretty unfair and i don't think you can get all 4 enemy skill materias in the game at once to get this spell.
Nothing new for a true fan

there was a rumor once that you could go on a 'date' with naniki during the second gold saucer trip too, but any and all pics that show it are all photoshoped, just a hoax, sadly...its odd that yuffie is doable since shes an optional charicter...
She originally wasn't planned to be optional, and wutai was going to have a bit more impact on the story, but was scrapped (I believe due to time constraints) makes sense that they'd already have the assets for the scene in the game and simply not remove it
Yuffie is also underaged :^)

The Safer Sephiroth info is just...I don't know, pointless? Because one Knights of the Round will take each Sephiroth out anyway.
7 remake.
