Brings back old memories at Tito’s tacos. Sooooo good. Thanx guys for the vid.
I never really liked Tito’s Tacos but just can’t stop going there to eat. It’s a LA tradition that just can’t be beat.
My mouth was drooling this entire video!
Pickles& mustard is a must with pastrami
Yes grew up in south central Los Angeles this brings me back to my roots!!!!
part 2, YES!!!!!
Looks great
My grandmother would make chicken feet all the time. Good memories.
No one gonna mention the woman in the background at CBS Seafood behind Bill giving them the stare of death? lmao
Toms tacos used to be Tito’s second location in Anaheim, but the business was purchased by another owner and the name was changed to Toms Tacos and the owner stayed in Anaheim for a while and then moved to Torrance and the food is the same. It’s just as delicious as Tito’s still so, yes still great. The rice though is a little different but still really good at toms tacos. 😄
Yes, we've heard about Tom's, will have to check them out one day.
Tito’s and Johnnies pastrami’s bring back so many memories. I worked down the street from Johnnies and Tito’s in 1972 and could buy a sandwich for lunch for about $2.50 back then. Tito’s used to be right on the corner back then. Thanks for the memories.
Like how you got the chili sauce and the hot mustard for dipping.
Dianna’s and Ramona’s in Gardena are fabulous for red chili specials with beef as well as tacos. I get the dinner and make my own burritos
Ramon's yes indeed!!
WOW! Looking so yummy with your food eating. Now I am mouthwatering, friend👍😆😋
LA classics. Look great. Definitely need a taco showdown between Tom's and Tito's.
Everyone loves tacos! We'll put the showdown on the LA video list for sure.
Tito's beef and cheese burrito is the star of the show! My favorite!!!
Like Ramona’s in Gardena. Haven’t been in maybe 5 years. Giuliano’s too. Like the gaetano sandwich
U guys always ease up my day watching the vids. Peaceful vibes always the best and glad I am not where i was before even with great food lol
Yes! I would love to see a taco throw down! Thank you for all of your videos! You both are adorable! 🌮 😊❤️
YES do a comparison of Tito's vs Tom's. (though I prefer Tom's)
That Pastrami sandwich looks amazingly huge & delish! 😋
I needed a smile today..thank you my favorite foodies for coming thru my blessing 😇..now let's eat♥️😋♥️😋
Love a good food showdown from Bill & Lisa.
We live in Westchester, 10 minutes from Johnnie's and Tito's and we eat at both places. When I called my wife in to watch this video. About 10 minutes into the review of Johnnie's she got up and left, she had already be cooking dinner, and said I want a Johnnie's pastrami. You're torturing me. I was born in WLA and have been going to both places forever. We introduced out daughters to both places. Our girls got to pick their birthday dinner and Johnnie's was always where we ended up. I don't care how long the lines are at Tito's, but when I have a craving for Tito's, I'll endure the wait. Thanks again for a great review.
LOL!! When that craving hits for either Johnnie's Pastrami or Tito's Tacos, it's drop everything and let's go!
Love it when you guys hit the L.A. classics! A showdown between Tito’s and Tom’s Tacos in Torrance would be fun. (BTW - Tom’s is a great alternative when you don’t want to drive to Culver City for Tito’s.) I look forward to your videos every week!
I've made the Chinese Sticky Rice. Its wrapped in Lotus Leaves.
Johnnie's pastrami and Tito's tacos was my hang out with my friends 1969 great place to eat
Tito’s looked crazy good my stars you both are wonderful
Thank you for the video! I absolutely LOVE Dim Sum! Please do more videos with them! Hope you're enjoying the weekend!
crunchy tacos my all time fav
Yes please do more LA landmark eats part 2 and show us around your town would love to see where you live!!! Thank you ☺️
Lucky Boys in Pasadena is the true place to go to for a pastrami sandwich and breakfast burrito!!
Thank you so much for doing LA eateries! ❤️ You guys definitely should do a TACO shoot out 🌮
It would be great if you would wish my daughter NICOLE a Happy 35th Birthday 🎂!!
We love watching you both! 🥰
You're very welcome! It was fun! Absolutely!
Love you guys BECAUSE you keep it real... We want & can handle hard core!! Thanks for the great videos!! XOXO
Nice Thank you 😊
I've tried the chicken 🐔 feet..
Not for me.
Now I need to try the conge..
I love chicken feet! I lived in China for a year many years ago. I learned to like them there. Well, I don’t eat meat now, but my memories of chicken feet are the best. I loved seeing these three places! Thank you!
All the food looked fantastic! Thanks Bill and Lisa for taking us along!
Sure would like to see that show down
Wow Bill, I have to say the shot of you at Johnnie's with that fabulous shirt and the colors on the patio is quite striking!
Halloooo Lisa and Bill. Everything looked delicious! You guys rock
Thankyou Lisa and Bill ,you guys make me smile ,many thanks.
The food looks great give me the chilli cheese fries and the tacos ❤️
WOW THAT SANDWICH WAS HUGE LOL. ALL THE FOOD LOOKS SO GOOD. THANKS FOR SHARING ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK 👏👏👏
Johnnie's has good pastrami sandwiches, the tacos from Tito's are glorified Jack in the Box tacos in my humble opinion. Love your videos.
Added these 3 spots to my Bill & Lisa Approved List on Maps! Will come in handy when I go back to my Lakers games! Tito's burrito reminds me of El Burrito's Burritos in Redlands (formerly Colton), been eating those since I was a kid in the 'shop at Fedco' days! I still hear the Tito's Tacos jingle in my head!🤣
ua-cam.com/video/YDUxp5dE9us/v-deo.html
We remember Fedco! You're taking it way back! lol
Yes on the taco shoot out 🙌
WOW! I go with the Dim Sum for sure! Open at 8! :) Pass on Chicken feet; I have seen hundreds + as Dad had a chicken store back in the day .... All 3 looked yummy :) THANKS MUCH for sharing! ALL THE BEST and Cheers! :)
Love duck.
I grew up on Johnnies Pastrami
Used to skate at Culver Ice Rink (just down street) and after skating we all went to Johnnies religiously. Thanks for Vlog!
Just got off the radiance last week also. More cruise videos please 😊
Very cool! Hope you had a fun cruise!
At Tom’s Tacos the kalua pork tacos stand out. Haven’t tried the fries or nachos yet. Beef tacos, all beef burrito with cheese, chips, salsa, guac, beans are almost identical at a slightly lower price. No indoor dining yet.
I've always argued that LA has some of the best food, and at bargain prices. That sandwich looked AMAZING! Love your channel, stay safe!
That pastrami looked so good and I’m with you crunchy tacos every time 👍.
Please do Josui Ramen! I love that place.
Oh my goodness the pastrami sandwich was amazing ! The burrito was huge 😍 wow awesome food Bill and Lisa as always.
Great food adventure, really enjoyed seeing the old classics around LA. Thanks and take care.
Go to Taix. I love the sea bass.
Been to both The Hat and Johnnie Pastrami both are great but Johnnie is just a Little better
Thanks for hitting Tito's Tacos- our favorite. Please do a Tom's Tacos comparison- nice to have another place to go too, esp since we are usually in Torrance for our stays in LA. Never tried Johnnie's since we get sidelined by Tito's= will DEFINITELY try on our next trip- mouth watering after watching your "dips and pour"! Also adding CBS- long time since we've gone to LA Chinatown...
Tito’s and Johnnie’s!!! (Used to live a block away from there!) Tito’s salsa is so amazing. My family picks up extra chips and salsa to bring home. Their food is so, so good! Haven’t been to Johnnie’s in a while. They put so much pastrami on the sandwich that I like to take some of the meat out and make another sandwich at home! Onion rings and pickles are the best! We see family monthly in that area and after watching your video, we have to go for pastrami or tacos next time we visit! Thanks for sharing!
you had this NEW YORKER at pastrami 😅
Yes I would like to see the taco showdown!
I am SO glad I ate before watching this!
Those Tacos look Yummy 😋
Excellent video folks. Its always good to see local places.....away from the tourist areas.
Johnnie's is soooooo good. The Hat is no comparison.
You're making me homesick. I miss Tito's & Johnny's. You can't get tacos or pastrami like that in the bay area.
Wonderful video. So many good places to eat in LA. Thanx for sharing. Safe travels. Karen
Pickels& mustard
Oh thanks for taking us along with you on your eats and travels😁
Subscribed love your channel when is the next time you coming to hawaii !!!
See our latest vlog. =)
Well dam, now I need to make the 5.5 hours of drive again to eat at Johnnie's and Titos. Bill love your shirt! Keep the great videos coming! Thank you for what you guys do!!!
Beautiful Day there. It was 27 in Bethlehem Pa. 😆 🤣 😂,. Food looks great.
Catcha guys on the next one! I’d love to see that taco showdown! 🌮
Love the diversity of food available in LA. Definitely one of the advantages of living in a big, multicultural city.
yes to a taco showdown!
Thanks for the info on Johnny's pastrami. I was just there about a month ago. I forgot it was cash only and it took me a minute to find a reputable ATM.
You need to try Johnny's West Adams...way better pastrami than the other Johnny's Pastrami locations!!!
Happy Sunday Bill & Lisa Yes 👏🏽 Another Video😊
Happy Sunday, Christine!
Yummy 😋, thanks for showing Classic Eats in L.A. 👍 🥪 🌯 🥟 🍜 🥤
Ahhh, best type of juice...pastrami juice 😀. I recall passing by CBS years ago but didn't get a chance to eat there, great to see how it is and looking great! Lol, Christopher must be full 😆
Yes! That pastrami juice is the elixir of the Gods! And yes, he was. lol
Thank you for the HBD! Great video to start my day! Come back to Hawaii soon, the islands miss you. No more QR codes to get in!
You're very welcome! Yes, so happy to hear HI lifted the travel restrictions! You know we'll be going there soon.
Love your videos. Yes, on the Taco shoot out! Maybe a hot pastrami shootout too?!?
I miss Shakeys pizza in Northern California. Have you guys ever been there? There buffet was awesome in San Jose many years ago.
We do have a Shakeys in our area. Haven't been there in years! Might have to check it out one day.
Lived in LA for 16 years and never made it to Johnnie's Pastrami! I'm soooo sad. That sandwich looked epic. I've got my list of places to go to when I make it back to CA one day and this place is definitely on the list with exactly what you had to eat. Can't wait! Miss tacos as well. Hawaii is slowly getting some better Taco places, but can't beat the variety that CA has. Another great episode.
Oh gosh the food looked great! Love you guys!
Thank you for the video! It made my day!
We grew up in Culver City, love Titos ans Johnnie's
From a Chinese person point of view, do not go eat dim sum within the first two - three hours that they open. So, if they open at 800am, don't go eat there until 10am or 11am. From my experiences, they (most places) serve leftover dim sum from the day before.
If you would like to eat dim sum that early in the morning, order jook or something they must make fresh. Usually, the chef doesn't start working til 1030am, so everything that is served before 1030am is leftover stuff. I had many many experiences of eating "a day old dim sum".
Great video Bill and Lisa, I would love to see a "VS" on the channel. Go to one restaurant then another and see which is better. That would make for a great series on your channel.
Ha! That would mean that they would have to say something negative about a place, and that will never happen!
Another great food review and tour. Yum.....🌮🌯🍤🍽♥️
Hey Bill! What's a "dead blowing hammer"?? 😆😆😆 That's how you described the Tito's Tacos burrito (at about the 21:30 mark). Love LOVE that place and Johnnie's. Good to know that CBS opens early! I'm not sure Lisa's "pro tip" at Johnnie's worked all that well 🤔🤔🤔 You know you can get your sandwiches dipped right? Mahalo for continuing to give props to these classic LA joints!
That burrito was solid. lol. Better to control the dip incase you're taking the rest home so the bread doesn't get soggy.
Very appropriate classic shirt for jonnies bill
Since this video been out Tito's taco had increase their prices 3 times on their taco with cheese along with everything else. It's $4.95 in the video here and had increase to $5.30 to $5.50 and now it's $5.65 currently all in the last year.
Thanks for the price update.
Bring on the showdown!!
Thanks so much for the video- the food looked so good - have a great day😻
CBS is my favorite and of course next door for a pastrami dip!
Now you are just hitting all my spots!
Pastrami, Chinese and tacos for your kids, can you adopt me😛?
Hi Bill! Hi Lisa!!
Oh yesssssss!!! Nothing beats Johnnie’s Pastrami!! I’m so not that soggy Pastrami girl. Johnnie’s has never disappointed me…..and their pickles and the hot mustard mixed into ketchup is amazing! Tito’s Tacos! You are in my old stomping grounds. We were always at either place, beginning back in the 80s. The dim sum looked delicious as well!
Have you ever tried the original ‘Feast From the East,’ Chinese Chicken Salad place in Westwood? The owner (Suzanne Toji)-creator of the ‘Feast from the East,’ salad dressing that you can find at Costco, is super nice. Another one of my old stomping grounds from the 80’s. Thank you taking me down memory lane! Take care!
Hi Mindy's Mom! Agreed, can't go wrong with Johnnie's Pastrami. Haven't been to Feast from the East yet. Our go-to Chinese Chicken Salad place is from Rascal's here in the South Bay, it's legit.
@@billandlisa …..Oh yessss! Rascals is definitely delicious! I hope you can both travel out to Feast from the East during one of your food adventures. I’d love to know what you think. 🥰
Thanks for letting us know what Juicy you’re talking about the pastrami
the food looked yummy thanks for the video
I really liked johnnies pastrami and titos tacos. Tito's is great.
