Hey folks, we're locking down the comments here. There have been too many negative and hurtful comments said about this business. We understand that people are pretty divided about Tito's but we'd like to foster a comments section with respect and kindness. Tito's gave us unprecedented access to see their process and we would love to have that opportunity in the future with local businesses. We'll leave all comments given so far up but all new comments won't go through. We appreciate you and as always, thank you for watching our content.

I started going to Titos in 1961 when the location was at the corner. We use to stop on the way back from the beach. It was cheap and really good food. Due to inflation, the cost has really gone up almost to the point that you can go to a sit-down restaurant for the same price.

Family of 5 was $85 a few weeks ago. Paco’s Tacos off Washington and Centinela is also raising its prices! All these places will soon be a memory due to overpriced food and smaller portions.

Tito’s is a Love it or Hate it place. I used to work in Culver City and would go there regularly. Went last month and the prices were through the roof. 4 burritos 4 tacos a side of guacamole sauce and chips was over 70 bucks. I hardly make it to the west side anymore but if I do I’ll be going to Rutt’s Hawaiian instead.

I hate the prices also. This place is slowly drifting away. People are not going to pay the outrageous prices they are pushing! Mostly tourists go to this place now. The people who grew up on this stuff go elsewhere. So long Tito’s

I hadn't been there for a year or so before the shutdown of everything and just went back a couple of months ago and realized my nostalgia for Tito's was better then the food anymore. BUT just a bit down the street was a restaurant called cinco de mayo that was open 24hours and had these nice cheap deep fried hard shell chicken tacos that were so juicy/greasy and a perfect snack after a night out. man i miss that place.

All of the workers at Tito's have medical and dental insurance, state disability insurance, California being only one of five states that have it. I was on state disability for 9 months after my knee replacement surgery. I benefited from it, I'm happy to pay into it. I acknowledge the high prices but it's all relative. I paid .80cents per gallon for gas back in 1977. I was making $2.25 an hour. That was when $5.00 an hour was considered good pay. People think high prices are the fault of Democrats. Respectfully Tito’s ain’t the same as it used to be and it sucks because I’ve been eating there since 96 and if anyone who’s been eating there that long knows that there’s something about it that it doesn’t taste exactly the same. From the tacos to the meat salsa and guacamole!! And I’m not the only one who’s said this!! Even the meat that comes on the burrito has too much Cumin or Cumino (Spanish)or something in it that just doesn’t taste the same and even the beans taste different too !! And let’s not start with the Price !! Lol 😅 bro almost $6 bucks for a taco that’s ridiculous and I understand that as times goes by everything goes up but man I spend almost 60 going there from the large guac to the salsa to each taco and burrito and your drink! Shit if I go with 4 people that’s a $100+ tab smh 🤦🏽‍♂️ If you know you know!! I feel like they stopped having that authenticity of Mexican made food !! I’ve had family members who’ve worked there who said that they changed alot of shit and it’s not the same!!Shit even the Pepsi doesn’t taste the same or idk if they went with coke now but that Pepsi used to hit different with the crushed ice!!!🔥 Sad but true!! If I’d Rate it Now to what it used to be I’d give it a 6.5/10 and I used to rate this place a 10/10 straight up!! 💯💯💯

U r correct. I’m 43 and I grew up around the block from Tito’s. All I can say is Tito’s tacos is dead and the place that still exists there is a fraud

I grew up eating Tito’s since the 70’s. My mom ate it when she was pregnant with me. Is it “authentic”? No! But it tastes so good and just the thought of their tacos and salsa makes me hungry. I’m so glad they’re still in business and shared the process of making their tasty food!

First visited Tito's in 1960. I was six. Lived nearby for decades and ate their food regularly. I still love the food and stop whenever I am in the neighborhood.
The food is the same. Absolutely the same as 1960. Amazing.
And Thank you to all the people who make Tito's the greatest.

Many places in LA have went downhill, anyone noticed that everything is? All foods I've tried don't taste the same as they used to maybe it's COVID but I know that quality of food has been getting worse in many places.

I'm kinda stunned at how much I agree with this. Didn't even occur to me. I used two work in Culver City and my coworkers LOVED Tito's. We used to go once a week because of them. I never understood what the draw was. Tito's is fine, but the hype it gets is kinda baffling to me.

goddamn, lots of haters in the comments. this is basically a SoCal take on tacos dorados, and Tito's has been around for 60+ years. founded by a white man and his Mexican business partner, it's a nice metaphor... the crowds are diverse, the kitchen runs like clockwork, and the food is charmingly simple. it's a Culver City institution, not to be compared with other "estilo DF" taquerias that most Angelenos think of for tacos

Crazy that in LA ppl have literally tens of thousands of better options for genuine Mexican food, and yet they still prefer Tito’s. As you can see very clearly in this video, Tito’s is mass-produced for the cheapest price to being the owner the most revenue possible. It’s a half step up from Taco Bell. Walk two blocks north or south of the 10fwy (or try Boyle Heights) and you’ll come across 5 different spots that have much better food.
