@@soothingsoapbubbles alright my dear, I will have to discard mine cos it stayed a long time. I love your recipe here, u really have made my day and thanks again. 😍😍😍♥️♥️♥️
It's lovely to know it can be put in the lye too. I just prefer to add mine to the soap batter because once I put mine in cool lye solution and it sought of froze. It instantly became solid and took a lot of efforts to dissolve completely. Probably the lye solution should have been hot.
Trace refers to the point where the oil and lye solution mixture, has fully emulsified and is ready to be poured in the mold. I'll advise you research on it more.
It might be the Tallow causing it. The soap is more likely to take the colour of the Tallow. So, if the Tallow is brown, the soap would most likely be brown. Also, it might be that the soap is overheating. For this issue, I'll suggest you Soap at a cooler temperature, you can refrigerate your soap after pouring in the mold too, use individual silicone molds if you can.
Thank you ❤
You're absolutely welcome!
Yayyy🎉 another recipe!💃💃💃Thank youuu❤
Why does it take a while to reach trace?
You're absolutely welcome and thank you for your support. It has a high amount of oleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that actually slows trace.
I have plans to make an all tallow soap 🧼 I will increase the sugar in my recipe.
✅
Wow. This is a good insight
Thank you!
Nice one dear keep it up
Thank you.
Tbs US metric or imperial? (I guess us, but just to be sure). The difference in grams is from 26g (from us) to 32g (from imperial)
Thanks I have been looking for a tallo soap making. But I have one question mam, does sodium hydroxide expire? Pls help me🙏
You're absolutely welcome! I believe Sodium Hydroxide expires because the one I buy, comes with an expiry date.

Wow I use sugar but in the lye solution. Is there a reason you add to oils?

@@soothingsoapbubbles I add before the lye and stir well
@karenurbanski5004 ohh, that's a good method too. I'll try it out.
@@karenurbanski5004 That's what I was taught, to add the sugar and salt to the water Before the lye.
Good morning, what does you mean by 'reach trace'
Trace refers to the point where the oil and lye solution mixture, has fully emulsified and is ready to be poured in the mold. I'll advise you research on it more.
@@soothingsoapbubbles thank you very much
Why does
My
Tallow
Soap turn brown?
It might be the Tallow causing it. The soap is more likely to take the colour of the Tallow. So, if the Tallow is brown, the soap would most likely be brown.
