      Please, let them cure for at least 4 weeks. This ensures the soap is fully saponified and excess water evaporates

    Now I'm trying this soap with a twist of adding persimmon pulp. 😂 I hope this experiment is successful too (like my calendula-infused tallow soap from your recipe). I hear that persimmon soap is deodorizing, so I must try it. Waiting in the mold now. 🙂

      @@soothingsoapbubbles I watched a video where he adds the pulp directly to the mix after light trace. Supposedly persimmon soap is used to remove the "old people smell". I have no idea what that is. LOL! My 90-year-old dad lives with me. He doesn't have any such smell. But I was guessing, deodorizing is deodorizing, right? I could try it on my stinky teenaged son. LOL! I also added activated charcoal because persimmon & lye make a weird dirty green color that I don't like. I will definitely send you pictures. It is easier for me to experiment with your recipes because they are simpler to follow. Thank you so much. 🥰

      @@soothingsoapbubbles I put them in flower molds and like you showed, it set really easily, and after 2-3 hours I took them out of the molds, and they look so beautiful! I loved this very simple recipe you showed us. I think I will make more of this recipe by infusing different kinds of herbs in tallow. Thank you so much for such a wonderfully simple recipe. A complete no-stress recipe. I could have added Calendula essential oil to it, but the tallow was already smelling so yummy with the calendula that I wanted to see if the soap would retain the fragrance. But unfortunately, the fragrance was gone. Next time I will add the essential oil. I can't thank you enough. I've come to learn that Tallow behaves differently for different people. It probably has to do with the various sources. For me, Tallow traces Slowly but, I've had people report that it speeds up trace for them. The Shea Butter I use traces Slowly too but many people say Shea Butter speeds trace. I think it's good to just take note of how it behaves for you and soap accordingly.

    It's so beautiful 🖤 soap ❤ I have silly questions 1. Why is the need to double boil after achieving the trace? 2. When we use beeswax, will the soap become hard and can be used for a long time? Thank you in advance for your response😊

    • @soothingsoapbubbles
      @soothingsoapbubbles 20 днів тому

      Hiiii...I double boiled the batter because I decided to use the hot process method which requires adding external heat to the batter, to speed up the saponification process. It's totally optional. You can simply stick blend to trace and pour the batter in your silicone mold. That's the cold process method. 2. Yes, beeswax adds long lasting hardness to natural soap. Also, make sure the soap cures for at least 4 weeks. Within this period, excess water evaporates from the soap, and this helps it last longer Thank you for your support 🤗

    • @soothingsoapbubbles
      @soothingsoapbubbles Місяць тому

      With the double boiling method, you're able to make way smaller batches, especially for a start. But with a crock pot, it might not be possible to make a really small batch of soap because of how wide the pot might be. It might be impossible to stick blend the small batch in the crock pot. Also, some people don't have a crock pot but want to try out hot process soap. The main aim of the video is to show that using a crockpot isn't the only way to try out the hot process method in Soapmaking.

    Why does My Tallow Soap turn brown?

    • @soothingsoapbubbles
      @soothingsoapbubbles 2 місяці тому

      It might be the Tallow causing it. The soap is more likely to take the colour of the Tallow. So, if the Tallow is brown, the soap would most likely be brown. Also, it might be that the soap is overheating. For this issue, I'll suggest you Soap at a cooler temperature, you can refrigerate your soap after pouring in the mold too, use individual silicone molds if you can.
