      The two main tips are: if you're playing black and he takes your knight on c6, take with the queen's pawn. If he grabs your center pawn with the knight you can fork him and win your pawn back with check, he'll be forced to trade queens and lose his castling rights. ( The moves are 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.Nxe5? Qd4! 6.Nf3 Qxe4+ 7.Qe2 Qxe2+ 8.Kxe2 )
      If you're playing white and black pins your knight right after you castle, don't take his bishop with the h-pawn if you try to chase him and he plays h5. It's a common trap that gets you checkmated (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.O-O Bg4 6.h3 h5 7.hxg4? hxg4 8.Nxe5?? Qh4! 9.f3 g3! 10.Re1 Qh1#). Play d3 instead and develop.

      I like e4 a bit more because it gives you central control and doesn't block your Bishop and developing that bishop will be as hard as developing a French Bishop so e4 is much simpler and i think a bit better

    • @tellahsage6477
      @tellahsage6477 Рік тому

      e4 is the only thing i play when people accept the queens gambit. Differently from the king's gambit, the opponent can't force you to do a bongcloud with a check because you got too greedy for center control
