There is a reason Magnus plays "bad" openings. It's not just merely a trolling disrespect thing. People at the top levels of play have studied and played all the top openings to death to the point that the early game is almost an exercise in autopilot for them. By playing a bad opening you take people out of their comfort zone and area of expertise. A bad opening may be positionally weaker, but it results in novel board states more quickly and easily where memorisation cannot serve as a crutch.

That game 2 was awesome, literally first pumped. Dodging a draw seemed crazy. A Rollercoaster of a game. Absolutely adore this content.

He missed a forced mate at 13:53 with Rh8+ which led to him having to rely on luck to escape the draw but I mean this is Gotham we’re talking about so no surprise there lol

@@benr3799????? What are you even talking about. There wasn't any forced mate to miss. Bd4 was arguably one of the best moves in that situation. Rh8+ in place of Bd4 is a crap move, simply Kxh8 and now you're down a rook for no good reason. Why are you coming at Gotham with this overconfidence 😅.

Levy being better at recognizing EUROPEAN football clubs than recognizing flags is the most American thing I ever seen.

I love how the comments are not about chess but about Levy's haircut...
Imagine posting a new piece of content on youtube playing the worst openings in chess and people only notice your hair~

Levy looks great with his new haircut. Glad he's stopped those awful product promotions and instead concentrates on promoting his own excellent courses.

5:47 an honest question with no hate. I just dont understand your thought process there. Why didnt you re capture the knight with the bishop and instead did it with a rook? Im 700 so yeah im a bit dumb but can anyone tell me Levy’s thought process?
