    The final game is the reason why you should always play with bonus time after every turn

    • @fatcheeks9830
      @fatcheeks9830 2 місяці тому

      not necessarily, it's a matter of preference.
      even with increment you can still lose with a winning position because you took too long to think in the opening and midgame. that's obviously not a good reason to say you should always play correspondence or classical.

    Isn't the worst opening always the exact one that leads to the three move checkmate?

    • @fatcheeks9830
      @fatcheeks9830 2 місяці тому

      he meant the worst first move.
      obviously after the first move he was trying to play the opening as best as he could.

    I played against chatgpt recently and it tried to spawn in a knight and I said it wasn’t legal then it corrected itself by spawning in a Queen, and it kept switching back and forth between the two moves so I just let it spawn in the knight

    Great idea, especially going after opponents of comparable ELO, demonstrating (once again) that more than the opening, it's how you play the rest of the game that actually counts, most of the times. Thanks!

      He missed a forced mate at 13:53 with Rh8+ which led to him having to rely on luck to escape the draw but I mean this is Gotham we’re talking about so no surprise there lol

    • @bluebellbottons
      @bluebellbottons 10 місяців тому +1

      @@benr3799????? What are you even talking about. There wasn't any forced mate to miss. Bd4 was arguably one of the best moves in that situation. Rh8+ in place of Bd4 is a crap move, simply Kxh8 and now you're down a rook for no good reason. Why are you coming at Gotham with this overconfidence 😅.

    You've yet to play my special opening - The Dram as it only looks good after copious drams of whiskey.
    The set-up of the Dram,, if allowed by black, sees a position 1. nh3 ... 2. g3 .... 3. f4 if possible 4. nf2, 5. Bg2 6. d6 7. O-O.
    I think my inebriated brain thought the knight on f2 covered the light squares so i could exchange my light squares bishop for something. What? Can't remember.
