Had to peek at this video. I was there at the Keokuk Locks in 1971!!! I went to college just across the river in Carthage, IL and my then boyfriend took me on a date to look at the locks. I don't remember it being such a huge area of buildings. It was at night and I remember standing on top of what seemed to be a small building by a fence looking over the lock itself, don't remember any other buildings. Has it grown that much since 1971 or was I just too excited to be with Dan and not paying attention to anything else lol. It was our first date.😁Anyhow, thank you for the memory. I'm now 70 and yes, I do keep in touch with Dan. 💖
I enjoyed that ! I haven't visited site in awhile and got a smile of enthusiasm from that . Thanks STL !great camera work as always! Bet it will still leak a little lol I know it's supposed to.. 👍

Oh I have missed the comings and goings at Keokuk! Thank you so much for bringing this to us while the winter winds howl.
This was fun and very interesting. I agree -- we need more of these!
Nice! We need more of these ;-)
Wow, so fun! And inspiring to see the peeps who make things run hard at work. Thanks!
