It's too small. Well, might be, ofc depending on drivers height. I wonder how Henry got in and had space for legs since he's over 190cm if not mistaken. I'm 199cm and slim but I had barely space for legs, on longer trips it would be felt.
Henry, the videos are outstanding. Your message is clear and consistent regarding the cars being reviewed. I look forward to all your upcoming videos, keep up the great work 👍
Beautifully shot and remarkably relevant as usual with Henry... And that Omega Speedmaster on a NATO strap complement perfectly the ambiance of the Roma!
I have been binging Henry's videos, old and new, these past few days. "The Last Pass" was amazing. The moment I heard of the Roma Spider, I wanted to see you at the wheel!
What an impressive, beautiful car. And the Roma is finally a Ferrari that looks just so good in any other colour than red. But, I must say the sound of this V8 is far from F355 era and you get an equally beautiful car with better sound in form of the LC500 Convertible. If you can live with the badge, you get much better value for money - and I love that equally to great driving pleasure…
Arguably the prettiest Ferrari since the 308. While most attention tends to be on the 296 and the 812, the Roma may actually be the most enduring in terms of its placement in the Ferrari stable. Will it become an icon like the 365GTB? I wouldn't bet against it.
The Roma is a great looking car, and does those Ferrari things well. But I just really dislike the cabin design (especially that incongruous plasticky center screen which will rapidly date the interior, and the haptic controls) And if I had the dough to purchase one of these, would be a dealbreaker.
I've only seen the coupe in person but what really struck me was how good that painted lower front grille looks in a bright color like ferrari red. Dont think I really have seen/heard it highlighted in reviews (press cars seem to be more reserved tones) but I thought it was really attractive and will age well.
Not a flattering color for this car, but refreshing to see fenders without the logos. The contrasting airfoil in the back looks like a vent for the rear motor. I agree that the interior is too fussy for the dolce vita crowd--of carefree adventures and guiltfree indulgences until cinematic fate intercedes (instead of Marcello and Emma or Sylvia or Paula, Henry Catchpole driving this car in the hills reminds me of Vittorio Gassman and Jean Louis Trintignant in Il Sorpasso, eek).
Goodness me Henry. This stunning review deserves a much classier UA-cam thumbnail than the one Hagerty clearly shat out in under a minute. That horrendous typography belongs on an online viagra ad from the early 00s. Come on Hagerty. You've got some of the best presenters and content on the planet. Treat them with a little more respect please.
A twin test with a Jag F type would be interesting. Is the Roma twice the car along with twice the price of the F type? I'm sure people would complain about that comparison, but I also wonder what would be the more exclusive car?
you wonder what would be the more exclusive car??? i can spare you the watching time. it's the rari. f type doesn't even compare. and i'm not even a rari fan
What car are you more likely to see on the road is my definition of exclusive, I have a feeling seeing a convertible F Type is probably less likely to happen@@hazardeur
Beeaaauuutifully shot piece and it asks, I think, a very good question - does it have a Ferrari soul? It seems so easy now to get caught up in figures, stats, performance, technology, thinking more is better and too much is just about enough. No. This is where driving is at, for me. In enjoying the experience that you take, but also what the car gives you. Well done, Ferrari. I think this is the car I'd be eyeing up, should I ever be lucky enough to have £200k to spend on a car...
Personally I thought I would not be budged from my love for the AM Vanquish 2014 onwards convertible, but I have to say this car looks so sleek, stylish, even sexy, this colour brings out all its curves, plus I agree totally that the steering wheel is far to fussy but do you need to be playing around with this stuff when it has Apple CarPlay … hope the sound system is as good as it looks …. Yes please ….
That engine just doesn’t do anything for me - maybe it’s better in person? And the interior.. definitely busy, but those seats just look so ordinary. And the outside makes me think of a more expensive Fiat Barchetta. I guess I just don’t like it?
They feel passionless. That was their only selling point. Turbo and a futuristic style took a lot of its soul. Ferrari has become fat and full of themselves.
Ferrari is stubbornly all-in on haptic. We know they know people hate it, because they have added the little indents. But that’s just Ferrari telling everyone they are wrong to hate haptic. Competitors who give customers what they actually want will take market share.
Is the cars coming yesterday, a lot of ferrari roma's videos have came out in the same day. Or they agreed to release the video on the same day with the same color?
With the roof up, it looks great 👍 but I am not so persuaded by the looks of it, roof down. The rear seems a little too humpy...the noise is a little disappointing for me too. Perhaps in the metal, it comes together better, but it is not the most photogenic Ferrari of recent years.
Not so sure about it to be honest. C3 Stingray at the front, F-Type at the back.... Now I loved the back end of my F (probably its best angle, as it passed you!!), but this is a Ferrari, so....
This car over a C8 Stingray convertible? Seriously? This car over a ERAY? You get the picture folks. Ferrari had its day in the sun, and it was glorious, but now?
Should have been a strict 2 seater with good sized boot/trunk, making it a 2+ has ruined the design of what could have been one of the most beautiful roadsters on the market.
Catchpole is rapidly becoming one of very few motoring journalists worth any salt. Been reading car mags for forty years. Journalist integrity is probably at its worst in my lifetime. Journos like catchpole who still manage to transit a somewhat balanced review without sabotaging their relationship with the manufacturer are indeed increasingly rare. We can ignore he probably prefer two non motorised wheels to four 😉
"Pick up the pace and the Roma becomes taut - rather like a non-newtonian fluid." Genius analogy, effortlessly delivered.
Thought the same when I heard it. Excellently put.
Yeah, was just going to write "a gem of an analogy" :)
Yes, I enjoyed that (and your comment)
I wondered where Henry had moved onto, it's good to see him doing his thing, one of the best motoring presenters on UA-cam.
This is the Ferrari for me. Never been crazy to the super Ferrari’s.
It's too small. Well, might be, ofc depending on drivers height. I wonder how Henry got in and had space for legs since he's over 190cm if not mistaken. I'm 199cm and slim but I had barely space for legs, on longer trips it would be felt.

Henry Ford? Read his books.
Beautifully shot and remarkably relevant as usual with Henry... And that Omega Speedmaster on a NATO strap complement perfectly the ambiance of the Roma!
Honestly this is arguably the best Ferrari in the lineup
296 is
Crazy to me how the “base model” Ferrari is actually the best sounding of the current sports/supercars (296 & SF90)
the 296 and the SF90 soud amazing, if you hear in person! And a part from that is the Euro 5 and Euro 6 what cut the sound
To my ears and eyes the last 120° Ferrari V6 is the Busso of the 2020 era.
Just wait til the 812 replacement comes out next year
This Roma sounds nice, but I prefer the 296 sound!
What the hell are you talking about?
I have been binging Henry's videos, old and new, these past few days. "The Last Pass" was amazing. The moment I heard of the Roma Spider, I wanted to see you at the wheel!
I always wait for the next of Henry's videos. He is class
I am a simple man. If I see a new Catchpole video, I drop everything and watch it immediately
The wolverine taming the prancing horse 🐎🐎🐎
Always the BEST car content on UA-cam. Awesome as always to the full team.
It looks like a 911 & Solstice made a baby.
5:07 that shot is just breathtaking
He’s got on an Omega Speedmaster Man on the Moon. Nice!
Henry and DTS from Issimi would make for a great conversation!
Gorgeous car, beautiful V8, lovely interior. This car is really underrated, as far as sporty grand tourers go this is way up there among the best
Top video as ever. Probably the most beautifull Ferrari on courrent lineup today.
Unreal, this is what i need to try and do, what a life the other side experience, Absolutely amazing video guys....

Great video again Henry!
Fantastic review and car. I was born in Rome in 1954. Father worked for UN. Would lobe to take it around romA

Love it how Catchpole puts on his Moonwatch for the most special cars. So appropriate for the occasion.
We need more videos from Henry....
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!
Now the bystanders also have to suffer from that interior.
The Roma is a great looking car, and does those Ferrari things well. But I just really dislike the cabin design (especially that incongruous plasticky center screen which will rapidly date the interior, and the haptic controls) And if I had the dough to purchase one of these, would be a dealbreaker.
Great vid. Beautiful car. "Roma" has got to be the coolest name of ANY car ever made, let alone a Ferrari.
I've only seen the coupe in person but what really struck me was how good that painted lower front grille looks in a bright color like ferrari red. Dont think I really have seen/heard it highlighted in reviews (press cars seem to be more reserved tones) but I thought it was really attractive and will age well.
Love this car!!
Stunning baby Ferrari.
Beautiful and impressive car and that Sardinian road looks made ofr .... a motorbike
Absolutely gorgeous car
Thanks Henry for another excellent bit of car enthusiast review
Nice road. Cue “On days like these”.
Another great video played out effortlessly look forward to the next video
Wonderful film Henry.
Sounds amazing !
😂 sounds like crap. I'll take American muscle sound over euro crap
This should be the car Sonny Crockett drives if Miami Vice comes back!
Lol….. the final judgement is a hilarious punch line.
Productions quality Is just amazing
And overpriced.

There really ought to be an Automotive Experts Hall of Fame, with superlative presenters like Henry Catchpole in it.

Yer a class act, Herr Catchpole.
Flat plane V8s sound great. The cross planes are loud flatulence.
All the beautiful color combinations in and out, and we get another grey car with a black interior.
Saw one in Blu Roma at the grocery store. It looked fantastic.
Ferrari: official car of, sound sells.
Simple, but vety effective. I meant both the video and the car
That Twin Turbo V8 sounds insane
Beautiful car and awesome shots too!

Nice Auston Martin - grill
Seems like a nice car you would want to cruise around in at low speed to your local winery.
🙌 oh man ~ u always have the best roads for your video.
Better than the DB12?
Didn't think you'd end this review with "Triumph TR3"
That engine just doesn’t do anything for me - maybe it’s better in person? And the interior.. definitely busy, but those seats just look so ordinary. And the outside makes me think of a more expensive Fiat Barchetta. I guess I just don’t like it?

They feel passionless. That was their only selling point. Turbo and a futuristic style took a lot of its soul. Ferrari has become fat and full of themselves.
@@seeno1 yeh , saw a roma the other day as it passed wasn't really sure if it was a jag or an aston and didn't care they just aren't special anymore
Wonderful review! I just wish this Ferrari was a 2-seater. The design with the high rear seats does not sit well with me (pun intended).
Best thing about this is the down shifts ❤

And overpriced Italian crap. Ill take American muscle anyday 🇺🇸
Is it worth trading in my Cadillac CTS-V3 as a down payment?
Looks like a Jaguar F-Type vert, with a Ferrari engine in it. Still pretty cool looking though.
At least it has a V8.. but $300,000 tho - I don’t think so 🤷🏼♂️
Cool car. I'd still pick a 360 or a 355 tho 😁
Great video as always. This needs to be fitted with the revvy 296 engine. Not that I'll be able to afford it....
Please please please tell me exactly where in Sardinia was this filmed...??
I think the car is smiling
Is the cars coming yesterday, a lot of ferrari roma's videos have came out in the same day. Or they agreed to release the video on the same day with the same color?
I like my Jaguar F-Type coupe in British Racing Green.

“… more than adequate replacement for a Triumph TR3” 😂
If I had all the money in the world, this is still the only Ferrari that I'd want. But I'd have the spoiler painted body colour, please.
This road is in sud Sardegna but where exactly ? I live there
Great stuff
Sooooo a really expensive and less attractive mx5? First the Purosangue / mx30 debacle and now this?
Grigio Alloy!
Boy howdy, look at that fancy car I'll never own or drive.
All sold out
Excellent.
La dolce vita ❤ I'm impressed by your experience in driving luxury and sport cars. You rimind me your recent video with Porsche taga
This looks to be much like the Jaguar F-Type in design, with a Corvette cockpit-esque interior, minus the rear jump seats.
Not so sure about it to be honest. C3 Stingray at the front, F-Type at the back.... Now I loved the back end of my F (probably its best angle, as it passed you!!), but this is a Ferrari, so....
I they do a fully electric version I will consider it.
Is there a way I can set up notifications for videos that include the name "Henry" or "Jason"? Asking for a friend..
Why the Roma v8 sounds miles better than 488/f8 tributo?
At 3:48 - they got rid of the ugly radar wart?
In love
This car over a C8 Stingray convertible? Seriously? This car over a ERAY? You get the picture folks. Ferrari had its day in the sun, and it was glorious, but now?
Sorry, this episode put me to sleep! 😮💨😴
