My late husband was an avid hunter and id make about 3 dozen breakfast burritos for him to take and share with the men that went with him. I used roasted potatoes, onion, red and green bell pepper, eggs and cheese. Id individually double wrap each burrito in foil and all he had to do was put them in a large frying pan with a lid and heat them slowly as they sat by the fire sipping their coffee or hot chocolate in the mornings. The men with him raved about those breakfast burritos complaining that their wives refused to go to "all the trouble" of making them..lol.. The morning the men left, i got up at 3am to cook blueberry pancakes with bacon and sausage to send them off for their long drive ahead.. I loved doing that for my late husband and miss it very much..❤
RebeccaSwift, What a wonderful memory to treasure about your late husband! My hubby’s passion was bass fishing! I always enjoyed getting the bass fillet’s and making a bass étouffée! Bass fish is a mild sport fish and is fabulous cooked in any way you can dream up!I am from Louisiana so cooking this is a snap for me, and no big deal. My husband’s fishing buddies absolutely loved it! Now, those days are the great memories for the both of us as his health no longer allows him to go fishing in a bass boat. And, sadly, most of his fishing buddies are now all gone, and only a few bass buddies are left. But, the memories are wonderful and when we get to missing those days, I make a catfish version of this, because bass is a sport fish and is never sold! So, I use catfish fillets and sometimes add shrimp, which makes a very tasty étouffée, served over rice! I really miss the bass fillets, and the fellas who were such great fishing buddies and shared the bass fillets so generously! We miss those days and all of those fellas! ❤😔

I was watching one of your videos the last time my elderly mother- in-law came to stay with us. She got hooked. Every day she would ask, "What's our girl Becky doing?". Your place and your garden are a dream and you are a wonder woman. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and for educating us in an interesting way. I just canned my first batch of jalapenos and hot banana peppers. I have my fingers crossed that I did everything right. Last night my hubby asked me how many freezers you had. He thinks we need at least one more. LOL
I watch a lot of yr videos 2, 3 or 4 times. I just enjoy them and I learn so much. I made tomatoe soup from scratch tonight and my husband and son said it was better then any soup they have ever eaten including in a restaurant. Its all because of you. Thanks Becky. I was so proud of myself tonight and you did that xx

Hi darlin', you didnt overstuff the pizza pockets, just make sure you poke holes with a fork at the top at then nothing will overleak/explode not matter how much you stuff.
Becky, it's an idea to use parchment paper to wrap your burritos... They will freeze beautifully, actually be easier to reheat (saran wrap kind of melts in the microwave), keeps plastic chemicals out of your food when reheating, helps the planet, etc... ❤
@@mrsginny just heat mine quickly in the microwave wrapped in a paper towel. It helps absorb the water the burritos give off, and they do give off some water.
I like to use parchment paper and foil. Then I can warm up in the oven or air fryer (for crispier tortillas), and they are done by the time I'm out of the shower! Or if I'm in a hurry and last resort...take off foil and microwave quickly! 😋
I love watching you direct the symphony of food prep! I am 77 and love to cook. I used a lot of your techniques when all the kids were home. It's so much fun to watch you and it brings back so many wonderful memories. It's not much of a challenge now, unless all 12 of the GRANDs show up. Then it's crazy, busy and fun!! I'm watching, because it's never too late to learn!😊❤
@@Ms.Byrd68 most stores that sell kitchen utensils carries them. The cheapest place to get one is at your local Dollar Tree store. If you have one close to you. That is where i got mine. They are an awesome tool to have in the kitchen. I have always used a wooden spoon till i got one. I absolutely love it. So much easier than my wooden spoon. I call it a meat masher.
Hey Becky. I was making pancakes this morning. The same recipe I've used for 50 years. Except today I forgot the measurements! I couldn't believe how confused I felt. I've just realised what I'd done. I'd doubled the recipe without thinking about it! You, Becky have reprogrammed my baking brain😂. I did wonder why there were so many pancakes. Enough for another couple of breakfasts in the freezer too❤
Becky, I have a bacon ends trick to share with you. I buy a lot of bacon ends from a local butcher. I pulse the big chunky ones in the food processor and then freeze them in small portions. I render those off as the base for a soup or veggie casserole type dishes. Even if I don't add any other meat it makes it rich and complex. I think this might be an Italian truck, made Midwestern! It is delicious.
I just watched a UA-cam video by a woman with 11 kids who made a huge batch of baked beans and put a chunk of the bacon ends in each jar. Seemed like a great idea.
Yu have deffo inspired me i have a family of 7 and chronic pain so struggle making dinner everyday so im planning on making 6 different meals many servings per meal working on minice beef tomorrow and my 3 girls r gonna help me thank yu for all yur meal ideas will b nabbing a few
Love your videos! I just wanted to share a couple of tidbits. I have discovered that I can use my Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook to mix ingredients for meatloaf, sausage balls, etc. Makes is so much easier, faster, less mess! Also, for those of us who live alone, a lot of recipes like casseroles, pastas, quiche, etc can be frozen in single serving glass containers...so easy to pull out of the freezer and pop it in the oven. When I make quiche or cornbread, I always cook it in muffin pans so I can freeze in a large zip-lock and pull out only one or two at a time.
Hi Becky... Did you know that if you use regular saran wrap, as I do, store it in the freezer because it makes it sooooo much easier to use! It doesn't fold up on itself! My sister has to use it for dialysis and she told me this secret. Love your videos! Best wishes to you and your family
I find myself cheering for the little bits (like the hasbrown potatoes!) to fall and am so happy when I see Orbit &/or Tibro getting snacks while keeping you company in the kitchen 😍

I love how the potatoes go straight to the floor for the dogs. Becky has talked about her dogs cleaning up the floor for her before, but I don't think I recall seeing it happen before.... and this was captured so nicely. Her dogs are so pretty
What I love about Becky is that she is all over the place, making a mess, dropping stuff, forgetting stuff JUST LIKE NORMAL MUM. All the stuff you see these days is so perfect and definitely not realistic, particularly if you have any children. It’s good to watch you and know that we are all normal, I think that’s one reason you are so popular 😊😊😊
Yes Becky sure is the real deal. I watched another video yesterday it was so perfect, the hair the kichen had nothing in it. No mess no nothing. It was so boring. I love Becky’s videos, she is wonderful and real!
Check out Delicious Bread Machine making ….so many good breads and even you don’t have the machine you can still make it the traditional way… I love throwing a recipe in a couple of hours before dinner and have warm fresh bread with it….you put the ingredients in and walk away checking it once ……I put my machine in my enclosed porch and the heat is out there instead of the kitchen. I use my instant pots to avoid running the oven and I baked lasagna in my electric skillet…..Rose Red has a recipe for baking bread in the instant pot…haven’t tried it. My air frier oven bakes as well dehydrates as well air fries…another heat saver. I put this and that pieces of veggies at once in it and it dehydrates quickly without having to have a large load for my Excalibur dehydrator. I love being able to cook multiple meals at one time. Today I had two canners running, bread maker, ice cream maker and brownies baking in the air fry oven….12 quart instant pot had two chickens cooking and the 8 quart had 5 lbs of potatoes cooking for multiple recipes.
I felt for Becky cleaning the freezer out…..a few years back ours went out in the upper barn and didn’t know….yuk….I had filled it with $400 worth of meat. Recently another died while we were camping …it had some partially frozen items thank goodness….but it broke my heart to throw away what I had prepped as she felt…… So for the last week I’ve been canning and dehydrating just about everyday so if there’s power failure I’m not losing a lot of foods. We are not guaranteed having gas to run our generator….five years back ours went out and it was out five days……gas stations were closed and we had to drive 40 min one way to fill the cans and they limited the amount you could buy. Becky has such a big area for her gardens and so blessed to have someone to do the building of them. I always share her videos 👩🏻🍳
Have you freeze dried your onion pieces? Saves on freezer space. I don’t have one but I dehydrate them and I make onion powder also. Zucchini and squash, celery, mushrooms, carrots, garlic, onions, peppers of all kinds are so nice to have in a jar ready to put into a recipe ….my hubby isn’t a veggie eater but he gets them in powders and lol what happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen…🤭 Becky is such a great example to all young housekeepers and even us seasoned ones.😂
Becky, freeze dried onions is where it's at! I FD about 100 lbs of chopped onions (I use my food processor) each year and use them on anything I don't need fresh. So convenient. Same with bell peppers.

Hi Becky, thank you for all the wonderful recepies. I live in Denmark, have a 40 square meter "park" where I grow vegdeables, and herbs in my raise beds. I live alone, so I cant eat all I'm growing, so I give a lot away. Watching your channel makes me go by a freezer this spring, so I can chop and freeze for the winter, instead of giving all away in the summer, but have nothing for myself in the winter :) And the food taste SO much better, when you grow it yourself. But I need to put in a small text in my comment to you from the Danish Food Agency, cause it brakes my heart to see you use bare hands with nail-polish in raw meat - or any food for that matter. I hope, I dont affend you, but here it is: Dirt from nails or jewelry on the hands can end up in your food Finger rings and long, painted nails do not belong in cooking. This increases the risk of bacterial growth, explains Helle Eriksen, who is a bromatologist at the Danish Food and Drug Administration.
"There is a risk of transferring the dirt from nails or jewelry on the hands to the food. And in the dirt there can be bacteria and viruses that can be transferred to the food. . When that said, I look forward to follow your channel
You know this video is great timing because I'm having my Achilles Tendon repair surgery so I will be non weight bearing for 5to6 months and my husband won't have to be burden with fixing dinner every day with these delicious freezer meals. Thank you Becky.
I wish you a speedy recovery. I had to be off a ankle three months once and I thought that was bad enough. Dealing with a shoulder now...six months and hopefully can completely use it. God's speed.
I had surgery on 6/30 and again on 7/3 and I am so glad I prepped meals for the freezer. Still using them on 7/24, along with meals my husband has made on his own.
Thanks for this Becky. I really enjoy your marathon cooking days. For many years I owned a restaurant and cooked a lot every day. Now retired, I get no joy out of cooking for the two of us. Marathon cooking days are right up my alley and I'm inspired by you.
I just stumbled across your videos by accident a couple of days ago and have been binge watching your freezer meal videos, I'm so inspired! It's exactly what I'm looking for, I'm going to start working full time again and won't have time to cook every day, but this is exactly what I'm going to do! Make a whole bunch of freezer meals that we can just heat up. I don't live on a farm and don't have all of your fresh ingredients but I will buy what has a good price that week and make some of your recipes! Sorry if my English isn't spot on, I'm from Sweden 😊
I live alone. I love meatloaf but not so big on leftovers. I make a big double batch of meatloaf and make "meatbombs" in my muffin tins. I simply spray the Pans with cooking spray then scoop the mixture into muffin tins. I freeze this and once frozen I pop into freezer bags. I can pop a couple in the oven... fix a side and dinner is done!
We do same with family pack of 🐔 breadt or thighs; ÷ into 3 separate seasoning/flavors, and roast. Then pkg it up in meal sizes, we store it all in gallon bag so it does not get lost; (thaw and do sides.) 😊
I am making breakfast burritos today! The biggest tip I have is to make a white gravy with the sausage grease and drippings and mix that into the cooked eggs and sausage then cheese when cooled. It holds it all together when folding the burritos and tastes great! I don't put in potatoes because the extra large tortilla is enough carbs for us, and I use about 2.5 eggs per burrito. Growing teen boy needs protein!

Becky I just love learning from you and watching you cook! I’m 60 so I’ve been cooking a long time but I learn so much from you. I have started making the breakfast burritos and my husband loves them too 😊. I do want to ask you to do something. Please, please, please pour your hot grease into a metal pan and let it cool a bit before you put into the glass jar or just let it cool in the pan. A jar exploded while my aunt was pouring hot grease in a jar many years ago and she had very bad 3rd degree burns on her arms and legs. It might not ever happen to you but it’s not worth taking a chance. Love you! Shellie in Mississippi 😊

Becky, I would love to see your top 10-15 favorite freezer meals. And maybe Josh's too if they are different. I often think about the moroccan or mediterranean small meatloafs you did at your other house. They were so original and different from the typical freezer meals.
I loved watching this! I watched while I spent the afternoon cooking and making freezer meals. We have a guest here for a week, and he's from Estonia. I made some blueberry muffins for breakfast. Decided to fix lasagne for supper, so I made 3. Then I made 2 pans of chicken enchiladas . So I have 4 freezer meals and had the pleasure of listening to you.
I get good ideas from you. I live alone, and I work full time 3rd shift. When I cook, you’d think I’m cooking for a crowd. I make good use of my freezer. Brilliant idea to cook the hashbrowns on the hot bacon pan!! My husband and I are definitely getting on the Freezer Meal bandwagon! Those breakfast burritos would be so great to have for us to grab and go in the mornings.. or whenever! Thanks Becky ❤❤❤❤
She inspired me to make breakfast burritos. They were a hit when we were camping in May. When we had to be up and out early I'd put them in the fridge overnight, then wrap in a damp paper towel in the morning, zap in microwave for 1 minute, and we'd take them with us and eat on the road. I took an hour yesterday to process a gallon bag full of the “garlic pucks”. As you know, peeling the garlic takes the longest time during processing. But now, I can just plop one or two in the skillet or slow cooker and I’ve saved myself the steps of separating, peeling and mincing fresh garlic. So, thanks Becky for being such a great inspiration, again!

Ooh idea for the pizza pockets, since you did an eggs wash why not mix some italian dry herbs and a little of that parmesan you blended and spread on top! Also another idea- if you have anyone watching carbs, instead of using tortillas I saw a recipe you would have no trouble with. I dont remember who she was but she took 2-3 eggs and about a cup of spinach and puree in a blender. Then just put in pan and cook like a crepe. Presto! High protein, low carb burrito wraps. Size is depending on the pan

I like to use parchment paper and foil. Then I can warm up in the oven or air fryer (for crispier tortillas), and they are done by the time I'm out of the shower! Or if I'm in a hurry and last resort...take off foil and microwave quickly! 😋
@queenbee3647 yeah, that makes sense
Why don’t you have your own tv show! Love your thoughtfulness and how frugal you are!!!!
"A little extra cheese never hurt anyone." Words to live by. 🤣😍

Hey, thank you for posting that tip!..I will be doing just that..❤

Check out Delicious Bread Machine making ….so many good breads and even you don’t have the machine you can still make it the traditional way…
I love throwing a recipe in a couple of hours before dinner and have warm fresh bread with it….you put the ingredients in and walk away checking it once ……I put my machine in my enclosed porch and the heat is out there instead of the kitchen.
Recently another died while we were camping …it had some partially frozen items thank goodness….but it broke my heart to throw away what I had prepped as she felt……
So for the last week I’ve been canning and dehydrating just about everyday so if there’s power failure I’m not losing a lot of foods.
Zucchini and squash, celery, mushrooms, carrots, garlic, onions, peppers of all kinds are so nice to have in a jar ready to put into a recipe ….my hubby isn’t a veggie eater but he gets them in powders and lol what happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen…🤭
Becky is such a great example to all young housekeepers and even us seasoned ones.😂

Becky, freeze dried onions is where it's at! I FD about 100 lbs of chopped onions (I use my food processor) each year and use them on anything I don't need fresh. So convenient. Same with bell peppers.
Thank you! I'm going to borrow my friends dehydrator and try this. Any other tips for this, much appreciated.

I hope, I dont affend you, but here it is: Dirt from nails or jewelry on the hands can end up in your food
Finger rings and long, painted nails do not belong in cooking.
In our restaurants it's that way. No polish or jewelry, but Becky is home cooking for family.
You know this video is great timing because I'm having my Achilles Tendon repair surgery so I will be non weight bearing for 5to6 months and my husband won't have to be burden with fixing dinner every day with these delicious freezer meals. Thank you Becky.

Good luck with your surgery. Take care!
I applaud your efficiency. Congratulations on homestead and baby.

Great idea.
We do same with family pack of 🐔 breadt or thighs; ÷ into 3 separate seasoning/flavors, and roast. Then pkg it up in meal sizes, we store it all in gallon bag so it does not get lost; (thaw and do sides.)

Great idea, thanks! I love meatloaf but no one else in my family likes it so I stopped making it. Now I'll do it your way 🎉
@isabellapapela so glad you like this idea! Works great for convenience!
The gravy is a great idea thanks
I like to add a bit of salsa to the mix and I also use veggie sausage and add more veggies.

What are the garlic pucks?
@@bc24roxy4
After peeling tons of garlic, you put it in a food processor with just a little olive oil and chop the garlic into small pieces. Then use a cookie scoop and put scoops or “pucks” on parchment paper and then freeze them. Once frozen, put them in ziplock bags.
Put some cloves in a jar and shake vigorously to peel quickly.
