I’m so glad this video popped into my feed. I never thought about using parchment paper in my instant pot, and would never have thought of adding seaweed to my mashed potatoes! I had no idea you could do noodles in an instant pot without them turning to mush. But my favorite part was the karaoke song revised for busy moms, “ I do wanna close my eyes, I do wanna fall asleep”. So relatable!
So relatable, cooking with kids! The real deal and so educational to have them help from a young age. Brava mamma. I’d have never thought to add extras in my instant pot wrapped in parchment or in a separate bowl, excellent ideas. Thank you for the ideas for quick meals, I’ll be adding them to my repertoire. 💜
Really like your Japanese-western crossover taste for food! Nice compartmenting with the baking paper wrap! Thank you for inspiring to cater for the entire family in asian style.
Thank you so much for your comment! Yes, the baking paper really saves my cooking!😆 It’s so lovely to hear you’re finding ways to cook for your family❤️
I love this.. I didn't know you could put food on the top of other food wrapped up and steam it! That's really cool. I'm going to try it too. I love using my instant pot
Thank you so much! If you enjoyed it, then I’m so glad I decided to share all the chaos😂 I wasn’t sure about showing the real stuff at first, but it feels worth it now!
Your kiddo is adorable! Love her exclamations 😄. I felt envious watching her shovel food so eagerly into her mouths. Neither of my two little ones are ever that enthusiastic about food, sometimes it feels like we aren’t related because I am so obsessed with food. Our all in one cooker died a while ago and you’ve inspired me to buy another. Please share all the recipes that your daughter enjoys, and perhaps I can convince my kids to eat! Thank you for your ideas ❤
Thank you so much for your comment! I only make easy recipes 😂haha, so I’m glad you like them! I hope they make busy weeknights a little easier for you! 😊
thank you for all the great instant pot ideas! I have not enjoyed cooking for a while but making easier recipes like this will make life easier and less a chore. Definitely going to try some of these. I didn't know you can use parchment paper in it, what a great idea! Thank you for showing the interruptions from your 2. year old. She's just like my 2 year old boy whenever I am trying to cook! The struggle is real loll.
Thank you so much for your kind words! That really made my day! 😊 I’ve decided to keep things as simple as possible because no matter how fancy the dish, kids just won’t eat it sometimes 😂 You have a 2yo boy! 2yo is such a fun and challenging age, right?😂 When will they realize the food would come faster without the interruptions?😂 I’m so glad you found my video helpful, even just a little!
@@umami_momYour recipes look amazing and I definitely want to try them, but can I just add a word of caution? Baking sheets/parchment paper are known to release toxic chemicals (PFAS) into food when heated. Even “eco-friendly” ones coated with silicon were found to leach siloxanes. My comment is not to criticize but just a suggestion for research.
I don’t know if my kids would like the food, they are very picky but to me it looked delicious 🤤 however, I absolutely loved your video, how you took the time to do the karaoke, you got down and spoke to your daughter, the real struggle to cook with her. It was real, it was funny, it was loving and the dishes looked delicious. I really enjoyed this video, thank you!
Thank you so much! Picky eaters are always a gamble, right?😂 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Cooking with my little one is definitely an adventure, but it’s all part of the fun (and chaos).😂 Your kind words mean a lot. Thank you for watching! 😊
this is insane!!! what a life hack!!! subscribed immediately. please post more recipes like this! so healthy, super quick and easy, and looks delicious! :D
Thank you for your comment! Yeah, my daughter eats well now, but it used to be really tough when she wouldn’t eat anything. Kids with picky eating habits make cooking so challenging, right?😅 And moms are so busy! That’s why I’m always looking for super simple recipes that kids might like. I hope you find some of them helpful!
Hehehe…the scary pepper. If you like, you can tell her why it happens. Usually it’s because they didn’t get enough water to drink or nutrients. I grew some last year that finally turned out well! By the way, I just found your videos and what fun! I hope to find more easy and fun meals to make through my new year. Thank you! 😄
Thank you so much for your comment! Wow, you’re growing peppers? That’s awesome! The scary pepper story is such a great idea!!! I’ll definitely share it with her next time 😆 I’m so glad you found my videos, and I hope they bring you lots of fun. Wishing you a wonderful new year✨

Thank you for your comment! How lucky to be gifted a cooker!😊 I’ll definitely share lots of recipes, so I hope you have fun using it and enjoy how easy it makes cooking ❤️
Hi! I often use Hakutsuru, which you can easily find at liquor stores. Asian supermarkets also sell cooking sake, but I personally recommend using regular sake instead. Cooking sake often has added salt and other additives, which can make it harder to adjust the flavor. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your comment! Yes, the one I made in the video was done in 3 minutes. If I’m just cooking rice (not multi-cooking), I usually set it for 2 minutes.😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I’m so happy the video could inspire you. New Zealand is one of the countries I’ve always dreamed of visiting someday! 🥰

Great video specially for busy moms- thanks so much for sharing!
I use a wooden spoon to press the valve down on my instapot. That way I am far enough away so I don’t burn myself and I can direct the steam away!
Thank you for a great tip! I just tried using a wooden spoon, and it worked so well!😊
I love this.. I didn't know you could put food on the top of other food wrapped up and steam it! That's really cool. I'm going to try it too. I love using my instant pot

Your daughter eats so well and isn't fussy. My 14 yo is still so fussy!
Thank you for your comment! Yeah, my daughter eats well now, but it used to be really tough when she wouldn’t eat anything. Hahahaha 「チーズ食べたいぃぃぃぃ!😭」was so relatable.
Haha, thank you! Glad it was relatable!😂 For some reason, my daughter eats so much better when it’s a sneaky snack moment😂
I'm impressed by your voice. Your cooking skills are amazing
Thank you so much! I’m not a pro cook, but I’m always trying out new things to get my daughter to eat-and to make life easier for myself too. 😊

More one pot meals ideas, please! Just got my cooker gifted to me but I feel a lil scared to use it for pressure cooking 😢
Thank you for your comment! How lucky to be gifted a cooker!😊 I’ll definitely share lots of recipes, so I hope you have fun using it and enjoy how easy it makes cooking ❤️
Love your cooking!!! Drawing inspiration from you to cook for my family. You might enjoy cooking with a Thermomix.
Thank you for your warm comment! I’m so happy to hear my cooking inspires you😊 Thermomix! I should give it a try!
Hi, thank you for the tips! Do you set the pressure to high or low pressure?
Hi! Thank you for your comment! I usually set the pressure to high for most recipes. Hope that helps😊
Hi! What kind of sake did you use? Thanks!
Hi! I often use Hakutsuru, which you can easily find at liquor stores. Asian supermarkets also sell cooking sake, but I personally recommend using regular sake instead. Cooking sake often has added salt and other additives, which can make it harder to adjust the flavor. Hope this helps!
The rice can be cooked in 3 mins?
Thank you for your comment! Yes, the one I made in the video was done in 3 minutes. If I’m just cooking rice (not multi-cooking), I usually set it for 2 minutes.😊
