@@kellanrevere I’m sending lots of love and comfort your way. I think what helped me was letting go of feeling like I “should” be doing anything at all. I had a moment of inspiration, and felt decent that day, and I think that tiny little spark of joy created a little flame. And that was enough to fuel me for a bit of time. I am wishing you a tiny spark of joy. A moment. Just for you. Maybe some pumpkin spice creamer? It only took me five minutes and is so delicious. You are not alone my friend. What a lovely supportive community we have here!
I agree, Becky. One of the most beautiful people that I know, "inside and out" and I have never met you! Although I have been through Oregon many times. You are truly a blessing 🙌
I like to see Renee come to visit and help out in the kitchen. How wonderful that she was able to walk you through canning one-jar meals the first time. PLUS it gave her a good reason to be at your house to spend time with Baby Acre. I'm sure she can't get enough of him.
I know Becky was homeschooled, maybe that plays into it? I see with my homeschooled kids that they just don’t have such a need to appeal to their peers. I think being at home allows people to grow fully into who God intended. I LOVE it when your mother in law cook's with you!!! She's got such a quiet confidence that just radiates from her. You are very blessed to have her. Thank you for the ideas!!
Yay! Your mil is an absolute gem!🎉🎉 I love that you and she seem to be such good friends and share mutual interests so you can do fun things like this together. It's such a special thing. 💕

Renee is such a lovely addition to your vlogs. She has a very calming and unhurried way about her. It was so nice of her to show us how to can these meals in a jar. I am definitely going to try it myself. Thanks Renee!

Welcome Renee! Its been awhile since we saw your sweet face. Thank you for helping me learn about meals in a jar. Looking forward to trying them! After watching Becky's last video, i canned tomato soup yesterday.
What a breath of fresh air Renee is! You can tell that she takes her time and really enjoys the process. I wish she would do some meals on her own channel too, as she is one of my favorite youtubers.
I love momma R., she was so soft and soothing and made everything look so clean and tidy. Beck salsa Verde was like a lunch lady serving the school kids 😂
Awe, it was so nice to see Renee again! I so enjoy the interaction between the two of you! Becky I'm sure you already know this but I have to say it again, you are so blessed!!! You are also a big blessing to all of us who get to watch you work so hard in the garden and kitchen.❤❤❤
These are the kind of recipes that made me buy a pressure canner and incentivized me to learn. Since we are nearly empty-nesters, it is so nice for hubby and me to be able to open a jar and have a meal that normally you would cook in bulk... and it tastes so good! I love the idea of doing multiple recipes per canning session!
It was very kind of you to include Renee in this video. Thank you so much. She is so good at explaining the steps just like your mom is. You are blessed. Becky, you are a gem.
We are grateful for whatever Becky is giving us. Becky you are blessed to have a mother-in-law like Renee. Wonderful to see Renee after some time. God Almighty bless you both and your families.
Hello Becky and Renee, how nice to have you both together again. I was looking forward to this. I can soup and stews and they been fine. water caned. It just has to be canned at 100 Celsius for 2 hours at least. I have never had any problrms. Love to can barley soup and I gift it to my friend. Those meals all sound great and I am trying the one with salsa verde. This year I had enough tomatios 🙂 to make Salsa verde.
I love that you are doing videos about pressure canning. I inherited my mom's old pressure canner and was too scared to use it! I went and got it checked out, and it is working beautifully. I successfully did tomato soup, and now want to branch out. Thanks for all you do and share, Becky!
You’re in good hands with your mother-in-law. She knows how to do canning in the right way. You definitely won’t have too many canning failures following this woman’s lead. Y’all make a great team in the kitchen. My stepdad always grew a big garden. We never bought Vegetables. My stepdad my mom and I would can all of our vegetables. I loved watching this. Reminds me of the good old times.❤️✌️🌼
Although I enjoy all of your videos, this has to be one of my favorites. Watching you tackle something new, that you are a bit nervous about and seeing you overcome those nerves is very encouraging to me. This is something I have been nervous to try as well and seeing how easy it was is a bit of a confidence booster. Thank you!
Same here! I have a stovetop and a digital canner and I've been nervous to use them for more than just a couple single ingredient items or jams. So excited about this
Yay!!! I was so looking forward to this video. You have to give beef in wine sauce a try! I found it in a Ball Canning book. All I do is crack open a jar and serve either with egg noodles or mashed potatoes. It quickly turned into a favorite quick meal around here.
I am 57 years old I've got all these years of canning cooking and gardening I love flowers and I have no one to pass it on to I've learned so much over the years from just doing things it's bittersweet but I have and still love canning and gardening it's been great
I’ve canned over 300 jars soup, vodka sauce,Red sauce, vegetable gumbo soup, carrots, green beans, pepper relish, cowboys candy, my husband put in new pantry shells for me. I’m so excited. Wish I could share my photos when I get complete I will try to somehow get them to you. I’m addicted you’ve been a large influence.
The meals in a jar are my favorite! My mom and I have been trying to plan a day to restock our pantries with more soups and meals for the winter! Thank you Becky and Renee for such a fun video!
That was fun to watch. What a special time with your mother in law. I would highly encourage you to watch Rosered Homestead regarding how electric pressure canners, depending on the viscosity of the contents, aren’t in the “kill zone” long enough to kill all the bad stuff. I’m sorry I don’t know how to link it or the exact name of the video but she was a professor and it’s a highly valuable lesson.
Love Rose Red Homestead! The biggest problem she had was ground beef pasta sauce. I assume chili could also be problematic. I updated my Ball book with her recommendations. With bigger chunks, these should be ok.
It was great seeing Renee in the kitchen with you. She has such a calm voice and is a joy to watch. I love keeping canned meals in a jar on the shelf. As someone who has health issues and not always up to cooking "real" meals, they come in handy. Just like keeping freezer meals. We're still eating homemade and cooked meals. I always check my rims for knicks BEFORE I start filling and again as I'm wiping the rims. Any jar I find with a knick or flaw I apply a couple coats of dishwasher safe Mod Podge so that I know not to use it for canning but I can still use it for something else...like storing spices.
Thank you Renee, first time canner here. You did a great job going step by step. You also made me feel like it was easy and less stressful to take on this project. Thank you Becky for this collaboration.
Yaay!! I LOVE when you MIL and your MOM are in your videos, such a great opportunity to share their wealth of knowledge in the kitchen too!! These types of meals have been on my "To Do" list for quite some time now....thank you for the motivation and inspiration to get going on it!
Becky, I love watching you and Renee in the kitchen together. I followed along in my Ball Caning book adding notes. Hope you can do more meals in a jar. I have a great relationship with my DILs too.
I love you said "nice having a friend" when talking about your mother in law. I am blessed with an amazing mom in law and I love seeing other people as blessed to be friends with theirs.
Renae, please start your own convenience in a jar meals. I would love more. I’ve been asking Becky to do these and I’m so happy she did. Please consider it.
I know you like the forjar lids but I’ve had many failures with them. So bad the lids buckled never in all my years of canning have I had that. I started using Superb I get from Azure and I have to say they are the best lids I’ve ever used. A++
I wish i couldnhave this kind of relationship with my future inlaw. Im gonna follow them. Renee has a real way about her for teaching. Such patience. She makes sure to go over every step ♡ cant wait to see her videos cause wow beginner friendly is hard to find.
Love it when Renee joins you in the kitchen. She’s very knowledgeable about cooking and canning. It’s also great to see your try knew canning techniques and meals. At the end of the day it’s about feeding your family with the best food you can possibly provide. Homemade, homegrown is always the best in my opinion.

It’s always a fun surprise when you have your mom or MIL on the kitchen with you. I bought canners a couple of years ago and have yet to can anything. This looks so easy. I am Going to order that cookbook and MAKE myself start canning. I felt like I was in the kitchen with y’all. Thanks for all your inspiration and encouragement.
I did the exact same thing, as well as the other book in a different video she borrowed from her sister in law, or a friend! 😊❤

I enjoy your videos. You do a great job of explaining what I need to do, and boost my confidence. I’m a 55 year old male, trying to remember how to do these things myself. My Mom passed last February, and she was my phone call away . Thank you for being awesome.
My stove is not suitable for pressure canning, so my hubby bought me an electric pressure canner for my birthday. Game changer!! It only does a few jars at a time, but it is basically foolproof. Highly recommend going the electric route if you're nervous. I've put up 40 jars so far and haven't had any failures.
Becky... I don't know if it matters for safety, but one of the salsa verde jars only got one scoop of salt instead of the two you put in the other three.
Great video! I have a pressure canner but have yet to use it. This is our first growing season on our homestead/farm property so we are still learning all the things and getting the infrastructure in place... one step at a time!
Becky I just got finished canning 6 half pints of muscadine grape Jam and 12 half pints of whole cranberry sauce. It was very filling to get something done that we can enjoy this winter. Most of this is due to me watching your videos. Thank you for what you do.
how wonderful to meet your beautiful mother in law (I called my sweet mother in law, my MOM-in-law She was truly a wonderful woman!) What a blessing that you two have each other.
Love this. I want to do meals in a jar but haven't started yet. Side note Becky I made beef stew the other night and made your dinner roll recipe. Turned out fantastic! Thank you for all the inspiration!
I’m always amazed at how comfortable your mother and MIL are on camera! Your videos are my absolute favorite and you’re the reason I have started canning! ❤
This is so exciting! I haven’t canned meat yet but I really want to can meals in a jar! I’m waiting with my mom who’s doing a medically induced stress test and I am starving…and watching this video. Make sense to you? Me neither. But when I see Becky’s face pop up in my notifications I can’t not watch. What a better way to wait for my dear momma. Great to see Renee belong also. Thank you so much, Becky!
I am also typically an "ingredient" canner, I just think it gives me more versatility on "the day of". But I think I'll try a couple of these, because as we go into fall, it will be really nice to have some chicken and beef soups all ready to go! I've heard that using bay in canning can make it way too strong, so will likely omit that for now.
I made the chicken and vegetables. The chicken pieces all stuck together in the bottom of the jar and the poultry seasoning stuck to the chicken. It was okay, but next time I will mix all of the ingredients in a big pan and then fill the jars. I would also use half the poultry seasoning. It overpowered some of the dishes that I made. Maybe just use a little sage and thyme.
Ball Mason Jars are manufactured in China. This year, in particular, I have found that the jars are not as good, chips/cracks, and the lids and rings are quite inferior. The lids are often misshapen and the rings are dented. The rings tend to rust very quickly. It's not the Ball that our grandmothers used, that is for sure.
You are incorrect. Both jars and lids are made in the US. Ohio to be exact. The idea ball is being made elsewhere is just another wild internet rumor l.
Hi Becky my name is Brenda Frey. I have been watching your videos for a couple of months now. I really enjoy your videos and I learn something new everyday. What I would be interested in learning is making vanilla bean. Please teach us this vanilla recipe. I really would appreciate it. I believe a lot of people would also like it too. Thank you for reading my comments.
Oh I am always so happy when I see you working alongside 1 of your family members Renee is a great teacher And I bet everything is gonna be just yummy! Thank you for taking me along On this fun, Protected day!
I pressure canned stew and soup base for my mil after fil passed. She was so grateful to have easy meals. Following your lead I also made her 'TV dinner' during a freezer meal prep day.
What a blessing to have your MIL have the same interest and to help you out! Besides basic canning tomatoes, I have been on my own since I started canning many years ago. Love it!
I love that you get to have fun days with your mom and your mother in law cooking and canning. The food looks amazing and the jars are so pretty with the layers of ingredients.
Meals in jars are my savior in our winters. I am able to take jars to in-laws for a quick meal for them that is nutritious. I can bring a jar of chicken soup to a friend who is ill. And best of all, when I'm tired and it's cold I am able to open Chicken Marsella or Pot Roast.❤
It is nice to have a canning buddy. I love when my mom or my hubby are in the kitchen with me. Definitely going to try some of these! Hugs to you and Renee!!
I love this! I live alone and always end up making waaay too much. I grew up cooking for a big family so all my recipes are for large amounts. This is a great way for me to use my recipes and not have so much food waste.
Renee is such a wonderful person and explains everything on how to do these projects, lovely to see you both again together in the Kitchen Becky, it is so nice when family get together. love to you all xxx
Oh my your mother- in - law is so nice. It’s so good of her to share recipes and techniques passing it down from one generation to another. So interesting to watch. X
I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ meals in jars. First thing I canned was chicken broth, then I quickly moved to meals. Just took jars of taco soup, chicken soup & kalua pork on a camping trip. Effortless, delicious, comforting warm meals, zero prep, minimal clean up & they take no space in the ice chest!

Yesss 😢
I actually prefer the smaller timed ones.
Yep! I've been waiting for this video since the newsletter mentioned this day and it feels way too short for such exciting things! Haha
Yes!! So much information and we all need a Renee for a mother in law!❤
Yes I am
It’s always a fun surprise when you have your mom or MIL on the kitchen with you. I bought canners a couple of years ago and have yet to can anything. This looks so easy. I am
Going to order that cookbook and MAKE myself start canning. I felt like I was in the kitchen with y’all. Thanks for all your inspiration and encouragement.
I actually paused this video to go to Amazon to order that cookbook. Thanks Renee and Becky for a great video!! ❤️
This was so inspiring and it helps me to feel more confident. I’m still afraid of the stovetop pressure canners. THANK YOU, Becky ❤
Always glad to see your MIL in the kitchen with you just as much as Mama Susan, they're both delightful!
Becky... I don't know if it matters for safety, but one of the salsa verde jars only got one scoop of salt instead of the two you put in the other three.
that will only affect the taste! I noticed that as well.
I love how close you are with your and your husband's family! Love these canning ideas!
Great video! I have a pressure canner but have yet to use it. This is our first growing season on our homestead/farm property so we are still learning all the things and getting the infrastructure in place... one step at a time!
You will love it once you start!
Becky I just got finished canning 6 half pints of muscadine grape Jam and 12 half pints of whole cranberry sauce. It was very filling to get something done that we can enjoy this winter. Most of this is due to me watching your videos. Thank you for what you do.
Becky time!
Correction: Becky and Renee time ❤️
how wonderful to meet your beautiful mother in law (I called my sweet mother in law, my MOM-in-law She was truly a wonderful woman!) What a blessing that you two have each other.
Love this. I want to do meals in a jar but haven't started yet. Side note Becky I made beef stew the other night and made your dinner roll recipe. Turned out fantastic! Thank you for all the inspiration!
Oh that is amazing! Thanks for sharing that with me!
I’m always amazed at how comfortable your mother and MIL are on camera! Your videos are my absolute favorite and you’re the reason I have started canning! ❤
Yay, its Becky time!❤
This is so exciting!
I love seeing you and Renee in the kitchen. It was so thoughtful of you to prep. Quality speaking tones for the video.
You're so blessed to have a nice mother-in-law! This was fun to watch and learn along with you. Great idea to have such handy and easy meals prepared.
I really enjoy watching and listening to your mother-in-law...she's soft-spoken, easy to understand, and she's careful with what she's doing 😊...
I pressure canned stew and soup base for my mil after fil passed. She was so grateful to have easy meals. Following your lead I also made her 'TV dinner' during a freezer meal prep day.
Renee needs her own UA-cam channel, love the way she teaches. Becky you are amazing as well learned so much from you.
These videos are amazing for the ppl who aren’t close with their families like this.
What a blessing to have your MIL have the same interest and to help you out! Besides basic canning tomatoes, I have been on my own since I started canning many years ago. Love it!
When you get excited because you have that book! Love all you do, Becca & Renee😊
I love that you get to have fun days with your mom and your mother in law cooking and canning. The food looks amazing and the jars are so pretty with the layers of ingredients.
Your mother in law is awesome! Your mom too! Such blessings to your family. ❤
Your so lucky to have an awesome MIL like Renee. And Mom, too. Recipes look great so far
That is so awesome to have so much in common with your MIL. Super neat to see all the fun meals!
Oh my your mother- in - law is so nice. It’s so good of her to share recipes and techniques passing it down from one generation to another. So interesting to watch. X
Becky, you're so fortunate to have a lovely mother in law who loves to cook and helps you out.
Your mil is a sweetheart. Josh is just like her. Youre blessed Becky. Loved this vlog. Will be canning up these recipes for certain.
Love so much when Renee walks you through the procedure. Thanks❤
Hi, this is my first time on your channel. These are great ideas! I'm a canning queen and always on the lookout for ideas like you and your mother-in-law have put together. You are blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with your mother-in-law.
