Triumph Pro Overview

- This is the new TBS Triumph Pro. This antenna uses a closed loop element system in which each element acts both as a driven element as well as a parasitic reflector. While sit was certainly possible to make the antenna even smaller, it would have come at the cost of performance. Thus, this is the smallest possible form without compromising on performance.

Bro you have been number 1 since the beginning!!!!! Your inventions have kept me flying!!!
Thank you for you encouragement! I just hope I have more inspiration in the future. I always fear running out of ideas.
@@CAGreve1231 i think it's been 5 years now that I have been utilizing your inventions. I wont use/recommended anything other than video aerial systems gear when it comes to my fpv set up. Keep up the brilliant work!!!!
Looks awesome Alex. Keep up the great work
U are actually the best
I’ll be grabbing a few of these once they’re available here in the U.K. 🙂
This guy over there is THE BOSS. I recently got me a pair Pepperboxes and to be honest I don't know how the hell I was able to fly before. Those single antenas are amazing. Time to try this lil ones on the kwads. Thaks Alex!
You are very welcome!
nice just what i needed
I hope it has a good extension so I can mount it as far of my quad as possible
"I may be crazy", joke aside, good job with all you do man :)
Ummm.... yeah.... there is no "maybe". With certain things, there is no doubt.
Love your stuff FPVblue just put you in there video LOL there flying at 3000m.
Love it... when is the release date?
Awesome!
Hey cool video, is there a TBS Triumph Pro just as RHCP or as LHCP too?
So far I find only the RHCP version.
Genius! Take my money!
Dammit! Just ordered me some new antenna..
Ohww well.. I guess I'll order some more :P
Interesting design on the internals. I haven't seen anything like that before that's for sure. I can't wait to slap some on and test it out. Is this good for long range like a long pagoda? or just better for penetration for us freestylers?
This is n't a long range antenna... and neither is the Pagoda. The only long range omni antennas are the Ion series. This is a racing/freestyling antenna. Obstacle penetration is excellent.
how does this differ from the AXII antennae?
the best
When and where can we get these?
Nice
Do you guys know what channel I should be running with these? For the regular Triumph it was R1, did anything change this time around?
Run whatever channel has the lowest noise floor. Which channel that is depends on your area.
Do y'all have a timeframe for when the lhcp version will be coming out by any chance. I like the minion especially how long the coax is. Unfortunately I broke it so this sounds perfect to me😺
Brian - Hopefully next week
Brian - Hopefully next week
FrSky version coming soon along with a letter asking you to stop replicating their product
They have to clone it first ;)
ROFL!
Frsky have been acting like douchbags, its so disappointing. TBS are the gods of RC and FPV systems, crossfire is miles ahead along with their Vtx's and antennas, waste of money buying anything less. TBS should build a radio, so I can replace my taranis
@@owencroney2089 The Tango?
@@nige5572 holy shit! Cringe!! I never seen or heard of that radio before.....thanks for the heads up Red.
Your videos are awesome and I could use your help. I've gone through the Team Blacksheep web page and looked through all your CP antennas and they are all quite impressive. I fly my Hubsan H501S and my H109S to around a mile out But I need better FPV. I've attached your antennas I'm considering. For the Hubsan H501s the antenna will be mounted on the rear top of the drone in place of the red ducky. For the H109s, the antenna can either be mounted horizontally out of the side or downward with a right angle adapter. My receiver antenna will either be a patch or 5-turn helical. I usually fly at altitudes between of 50-100m. Your professional opinion is greatly appreciated.
Use a helical rather than a patch. That's going to be the biggest factor. A Crosshair would be even better than both the helical and the patch. As for the aircraft, there really is no bad choice. I personally like the Minion the most, but you will find the Triumph Pro to perform very well... and you probably won't notice the difference. If you tend to pitch at a high angle, use the Triumph Pro. If you are pitched less than 40 degrees, use the Minion Pro.
@@CAGreve1231 Thanks for getting back to me. So you would chose the Minion or Triumph Pro over the Ion Pro or Bluebeam Ultra V2?
When is the Stubby version going the be released?
I wish I knew. I designed it, but TBS is in charge of manufacturing it.
Is this better than the Ion V2? Im planning on using Ion V2 for both transmit and recieve, unless there is a better option.
It is smaller, lighter, and better for freestyle flying. The Ion V2 is more efficient and better for long range.
@@CAGreve1231 thanks for the reply. Ill probably go for the triumph pro on my quad and the ion v2 on my plane.
does this triumph pro outperform the minion pro in most circumstances? Apologies for all the questions, but I'm not as clear as to how they relate to eachother. I know the Gain is higher in the minion pro, but I'm not sure if that means an increase in performance with the range or a decrease due to much larger nulls while turning....
The Minion Pro is a higher performance antenna. The Triumph Pro is smaller.
@@CAGreve1231 great ordering from Pyrodrone now - thank you
I emailed you guys through your site. Do you do custom length and connector orders? Id like an Ion V2 with a longer cable and a 90° MMCX. Or at least one with a long cable than I can trim down and use a solder-on 90° MMCX.
We licensed this to TBS, so you will need to ask them. We do custom antennas for VAS.
@@CAGreve1231 Ok great I'll email you guys again.
👍👍👍
cool beans
But are they better than the ones you sell your own brand that I always buy ?
These are different than what I make. Everything I make is has a specialty. These are for general purpose.
I may be crazy or you may be crazy.. all I know is I want them triumph pros lololol
I can't find it for sale anywhere. I looked on the Team BlackSheep website, but it isn't there. Anybody?
GetFPV, ReadyMade, Stoneblue Airlines should all carry it. If they are out of stock, then it is just because TBS is a little behind on production.
@@CAGreve1231 A pre-emptive video! Boy are they going to LOVE answering all the questions :-) Thanks.
Well Lumenier did that with the axii Stubby a year a go😉
And this is better in every way. It is smaller and higher performance.
Video Aerial Systems Well of course that would be also my response😂
@@FPVAcademy
Alex, I do respect your authority and experience in this field, and admire everything you have done for the hobby to this point. Making a claim though that this antenna is better than the AXII with no data to back it up is just talk. Do a comparison and walk the walk. Until then, I'll be sticking to an AXII, thank you.
I already proved it on April Fool's day. Most of you thought it was a prank... and that was the joke i pulled on all of you.
Totally possible to make a smaller one, if one can keep the tolerances needed.
Yes it is and multiple versions were tested in a special test rig I made for measuring emissions. Unfortunately the bandwidth and axial ratio suffers greatly once size is reduced below this and thus I went with the type you see. I actually admitted this in the video description.
I wonder why Aomway four-leaf outperforms the airscrew antenna???... I was disappointed paying as much as I did for it just to find out the aomway out performed it in every angle . I tested them for over two hours trying different angles behind buildings , brush exedra.. everytime aomway always outperform ..☹️
It is possible that you got a bad one. We QC check every antenna, but that doesn't mean we missed one.
@@CAGreve1231 that's always a possibility... But it looks like if they were defected it wouldn't perform at all ? are just slightly?.. I get very good picture in line of sight, it's penetration through objects were the aomway outperforms it.. could it be that the airscrew is made of 3 cloverleaf and the aomway has 4 which is giving it the edge???
@@flyhigh6591 - The airscrew is higher axial ratio which is what gives it the punch. That is a really unusual problem.
900mhz super small cp anntennas?
I made a prototype of a small 900MHz CP... and failed miserably and didn't bother re-visiting it. Admittedly, I am working on a new technology for rapid prototyping to make designing antennas easier.
@@CAGreve1231 fantastic to hear you are working on it. I am aware it's not straightforward but I figured it might be doable with your ion design or whatever foxeer is doing with those tiny ones.
Take my money..
Still not available for sale anywhere, so ...
Thuban06 - TBS ran into problems manufacturing it and it has made it hard to stock
@@CAGreve1231 Thanks so much for the update. What would be the best second choice? I need a couple of receiver antennas soon. Thanks!
half of these peoppe talking about your clothes.. lmfao.. um... we are talkin antenna hype here fellas!
Please put your t-shirt out from your jeans :)
That's how he rolls man
can confirm, ive never seen him without his shirt tucked in. Hed probably lose his keys on his belt loop if he did that
Dude, use a smaller size of t-shirt! You always use them 1/2 sizes to big, or makes your videos look like '90s
Only TBS shirt I had...
👍👍👍
