I’ve always been an iron sights guy,I know nothing about scopes but since I’m getting into muzzleloader hunting this year I’m trying to learn. Would love to see a video on mounts, rings, and actually mounting.

Thank you for your content, keep it coming. I personally looked at both the Luepold VX freedom muzzy vs. the Burris fullfield E1 muzzy scope and I chose the Burris and couldn't be happier. For the money one of the best scopes you can buy.

I’m running the tradition ultralight with a Nikon prostaff 5 2.5x10 and it is working very well with the load I’m running. Nikon doesn’t make this scope anymore but I found one for 100 bucks and it works for me.

I've been hunting with CVA muzzle loader for 35years and now I've been using the hawk blackprower scopes for about 2 years and let me tell you that they are a great blackprower scope and I've used them all. The class is even better than any other black powder scope I've use even the most expensive one they are around 220 dallar and for the money you can't beet price for them

Are you talk about the hawke 3x9x40 slug scope? I shoot a CVA Optima v2 50 LR nitride rifle. It came with a Konus 3x9x40 muzzleloader scope. But i want to replace it with a better scope. I shoot a max load of blackhorn and hornady 250gr sst sabot . Is the mill dot on?

I am running the new Knight Peregrine .40 cal with a Burris Veracity 5-25 ffp MOA. This rifle shoots great and the scope is awesome, great glass, and capped windage turret. Been a big fan of the Burris optics, great glass, well priced and track great.

Very informative video! What is the difference between a regular rifle scope and a muzzle loader scope? I have a Nikon Omega that was advertised as a muzzle loader scope but I really can't see the difference from other rifle scopes I own. Thanks.

Cool! What would be a good scope or red dot for an inline muzzleloading pistol? I have an old Traditions .54cal Buckhunter inline pistol that is drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

As with most Burris fullfield scopes the E1 comes up short on eye relief. If you ever got smacked in the head by a high powered rifle with a short eye relief you won't buy a scope with less than 4" of eye relief period! Eye position is also critical on a short eye relief scope or you will quickly lose that field of view.

I am looking for a scope. I have a CVA Optima v2 50 LR nitride rifle. It came with a Konus 3x9x40 muzzleloader scope. But i wanted to upgrade. I am looking at the 2 scopes.
    Burris 3x9x40 ML .
Leopold 3x9x40mm ML . Our season isnt long. I was looking at the because of the price. I fount it locally for 165.00. I shoot max of blackhorn and a 250gr sst sabot. Is the 2 scopes bdc make to work with that type of load? It the older Leopold 3x9x40mm ultra slam . Is it the same scope as the new Leopold ML? I also looked at the hawke 3x9x40 slug scope. Is that a muzzleloader scope too? I have a hawke Vantage 4x12x40AO IR on my 17hmr. And one for my 22 mag also. They are good scopes. I been shooting out to 275 yds with the 17 hmr model.

Both the Leupold VX-Freedom Ultimate Slam and the Burris FullField E1 Muzzleloader Scopes are excellent. Both have reticles that are designed to work with standard muzzleloader ballistics, however, there is a tremendous amount of variance from load to load so I would recommend testing the reticle with your particular setup before taking it into the field.
Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with the Hawke scopes so I cannot offer any insight there.
