Everything that I cover is already avaliable to the public, I don't have ties to anyone on the front. Nothing I post exposes any sort of threat of revealing plans.
    What program do you use?
It's called scribblemaps, it's a really underrated program that's very versatile.
Why haven't you changed your name?
I feel like this is the name that I've always gone under, and I want to continue to use. It's a part of me now haha

UA already received enough engineering equipment to form a bridge at night, send heavy armor over and dismantle the bridge before the morning. But as the first F16 pilots are graduating it makes sense to hold operations for a future decisive air support.

This front of the war is by far the most interesting and dynamic. Ukraine gets to needle the forces here with guerrilla tactics demanding response, and then defend causing the Russians to incur losses. They take ground and make the defenders take the 10 to 1 penalty. These soldiers are probably the bravest of all on the front lines. They have no retreat but win based their wits and knowing the land. BTW frozen or not, the are is an expanse of dense swamps and dunes. Mobiks just disappear into the muck... as do mechanized troops.

This front is geographically separate to Donbas and thus extraordinary (in Sun Tzu terms)... any great commander could turn it to his advantage.... I have expected this front to crack for months but clearly ukr extracts more value by attracting and destroying Ru units to contain the bridgehead...

Just a correction. The soil on the left bank is sand. It won't be 'soup'. Also the river at Krynky is downstream of the dam. Its water level be pretty much what it was before the dam was destroyed.

FK, Ukraine’s military responses are much more nimble and far reaching than your grasp of them. Today’s expansion of the ongoing cross-Dnipro bridgehead was triggered by the destruction of the Russian command facility and aviation assets at Belbek Air Base in occupied Crimea on 1 February. The well-planned surprise attack liquidated Lt General Tatarenko and his Air Force command staff at the air base. The air-raid bloody nose courtesy of the AFU included additional strikes on military assets throughout Crimea. The shock and awe it achieved within Russia’s decrepit military command structure will present even larger opportunities for AFU successes in the next week. Watch for them.

But... why did you have to insult our boy without even knowing what he knows or has a "grasp of"? LOL Maybe it was a poor choice of words, or maybe you are new to watching? This dude's coverage is usually some of the most comprehensive, but FKer keeps it short and fun. Thank you for giving us more details about the cause and effects going on. I look forward to more conversations!

I predict that outside of anti-radar, that we will eventually see transportation denial operations near Preobrazhenka one day to frustrate supplies. My understanding is most troop, equipment and ammo resupply for the Oleshky area is already having to come through the east and is very expensive, but the southern routes are still critical for food and fuel. A hard core landing on the left bank is possible before spring -- because if they can suppress air there is very little stopping a light force from pushing all the way to the Perekop Wall.

    • @richardgilman4602

@@matthewbarnes646 Yes indeed, Mr Barnes. The acquisition of French amphibious river bridging-barges, Boeing/Saab GLSDBs, and Western long-range mobile air defense weapons leads me to believe the march to the Perekop Wall may start as early as week's end. Moreover, the AFU will take full advantage of Russia's withering command structure to risk more than a light infantry force for the march.

What Ukraine needs is the drones and EW systems that would allow it to ock the roads 20-30km from Krynky. Effectivelt setting up roadblocks. Denying them supplies and reinforcements makes it untenable for Russia and sets up a safe zone around Krynky. Then Ukraine can move vehicles and set up a full beachhead.

Ukraine just attacked the airfields that were launching the gliding bombs at the crossing areas, and took out some of the air force leadership and comms. So this expansion is almost certainly related to the lack of Russian air dominance.

I have a question that no one has answered by anyone and perhaps you can help me.
With all the long distance the Ukrainians have...Scalp and Storm Shadow missles, the drones hitting distant cities and the seadrones why have they not attacked the Kerch bridge and the Southern land bridge that are the supply lines of the Russian army? It seems foolish and really stupid to not do this.
You have any reasoning that might explain this?

@@Freekherson thank you for this but many of the points made having to do with hardware is moot at this point. The land bridge should be open season all things considered.
As for the Kerch...the cost of resupply to the Ukranian army should out weigh all else ..
Except..if Ukraine wants a negotiated settlement which flies in the face of everything they say..
I have long been a supportive of Ukraine in this conflict but not sure Ukraine really wants what it states..I just don't believe them anymore.
To me it is THE defining conflict of our time but if Ukraine is just using the west for a negotiation it is just wrong.
