Bro, chill you needa chill. Russia in spite of everything has only been able to inch forward here, and that's before they have even gotten to the hard part - the city itself. If aid does pass - which hopefully it will - the chances of Russia taking the city are not particularly high as Russia's resources are already heavily depleted from Avdiivka, and the restoration of air defense and arrival of F-16s will likely nullify Russia's current air superiority.

May 9th? That date solely came from Budanov, who said the same thing about Mariupol... it's a means and way for Ukraine to spin it to Russia are failing, even though they are still taking ground. Chasiv-Yar is an uphill struggle, it's well fortified and has the natural barrier of the canal. However, the well fortified towns are coming to an end as Russia make gains over defences created by Ukraine since 2014. If Russia can take Chasiv-Yar, Ugledar, Siversk, Niu-York and others.... Donbas will be secured, it's a long way away but things are ramping up. This time last year, Russia couldn't move 100m across the whole Donetsk front... Now, they're moving 100m simultaneously in 2-3 directions per day.

Ukraine took their soldiers from Chasiv Yar side to Vovchansk side, and we started get Russian fighter jet footage over Chasiv Yar meaning they don't really have air superiority or sam coverage meaning Soldiers can have Close Air Support which will make it alot easier to get to Chasiv Yar

Hey my friend what they said about Chasiv Yar being a difficult nut to crack was precisely what they said about the stronghold of Avdiivka. How well did that turn out for the Ukrainians, hmmm? Chasiv Yar, if the Ukrainians purpose to defend it will turn into a waste dump strewn with the bodies of Ukrainians foolish enough to fight for it. Currently, Ukrainian soldiers are second guessing their commanders as they’re seeing themselves as cannon fodder against an implacable enemy with no intention of slowing down. Russia, after initial reversals on the battlefield, has turned into a lethal, agile and determined foe for which the Ukrainians have no answer. The summer offensive will probably see Ukraine unconditionally surrender.

From the beginning Russia just wanted the regime in Kiev to stop shelling Donetsk and Lugansk,stop the extremist neo Nazo groups committing atrocities like Azov, Tornado, Aidar etc, stop laws that discriminate against Russians etc. Over a million Ukrainians fled to Russia in 2014-2016. Russia also wanted no NATO expansion on Ukrainian soil, near it's borders. This would make NATO missiles reach Moscow in 5 minutes.

Of course it won't be by May 9th. I'm no pro Ukrainian but i could definitely understand that this will take months of battle and the Ukrainians making mistakes or lacking ammo to end by May 9th. Because Chasiv Yar is not as fortified like Avdiivka I'll give it at best 9 month's and this is months of Summer and Autumn October. If it falls between that time it will count as a rout. If it falls after then it will be strategic victory as it made the Russians use much of their resources. Ukraine might have enough time to reconstitute if it doesn't fall quickly. I gave the same time frame for Avdiivka last year in October to fall between October and end of Summer this year it falling so quickly underscores how seriously weakened the Ukrainians are by long hauls of fighting.
Chasiv Yar will fall in 2 months. Russians are making 100 of meters of progress each day of the front. A say this as a neutral observer. The russian advantage will growth till the czech artillery will arrive
