    Thanks for this video man. I’ve been wanting to change out my coolant but I’ve been putting it off because I didn’t know how to take the bike apart really. So thanks.

      Also, had a question. When you pulled the first fairing off, I noticed you didn’t really worry about the tabs breaking, (not that it was reckless) but I was wondering if it comes apart pretty easy or if you gotta try hard to really take it apart?

      Thank you for your comment! You’re asking about the yellow clips at 1:20 right? They seem pretty robust but when I’m not holding my phone in my hand I’m usually a little more careful about gently pulling them straight back. I haven’t damaged them yet after 6 years, so they seem well designed, but it’s always good to be careful. Thanks for watching and glad it helps a bit!

    Hey there, thanks for your videos! I have a 2018 CBR 650F myself and due to recent thefts in the area, I've purchased a very small GPS tracker to add to my bike, as a unit that needs to be removed every 5-6 months for recharging, can you give any recommendations on good locations to place the tracker on this bike? I want to avoid obvious places like under the seat where thiefs could find it quickly.

      I don’t know how big it is, but I’d consider hidden up somewhere in the front plastics. Hidden but accessible and should have good reception. I don’t know if that’s better or worse than under the seat though, since at least the seat is locked on. I’d probably poke around for the deepest reasonable place. Thanks for watching my channel! m.imgur.com/a/dNaCFVh

      If you wanted to go real deep into the fairings you could look where your front amber signals enter the cowl on the inside through their rubber grommets, and see if you could open up the layers to squeeze in there?

    do you plan on getting an exhaust for the 650f? the akrapovic system looks/sounds sweet

    • @BurntOnBothEnds
      @BurntOnBothEnds  8 років тому +3

      Nah. Unnecessary and large expense for minuscule performance and mild aesthetic increases. Plus, as far as stock exhausts go, the CBR650F has one of the nicest looking setups in my opinion. I have my eye on suspension upgrades first, which run about the same price (Ohlins front/rear). That's just me. Maybe when my stock pipes rust out in 10 years, haha. Though I'd be happy to do installation/review videos ASAP if someone donates an Akrapovic system! ;-)

      Burnt OnBothEnds Good call on doing the suspension first, especially since you're tracking it. And yeah I know what you mean the stock exhaust is packaged nice and tidy under the bike

    What purpose do these rubber do which are hanging with the wiring harness

      That rubber boot is to protect the wire connection from getting wet.

    what brand of frame sliders are those and where did you get them

      They are Oggy Knobs. Ordered from the official (Australian) eBay account because they aren't distributed in the US. I love them, but they require a minor cut to the inner fairing to allow the mounting plate to attach. Extremely sturdy: best/strongest mounting points available in my opinion.

    Question: Can I replace my right front turn signal without removing the fairing?

    • @BurntOnBothEnds
      @BurntOnBothEnds  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, you just have to reach up the front of the fairing. No need to take apart the layers of fairings.

    How did you get the indicator off at the connector, It's so hard to take off!

    • @BurntOnBothEnds
      @BurntOnBothEnds  3 роки тому +1

      The first few times were challenging. The black rubber sleeve slides backwards, so you should be able to physically see the connectors. Then there is one little square clip that you can lift up with one finger, while pulling on the wiring side. That probably doesn’t make as much sense as it does in my head, but is that the part you’re talking about? Just don’t pull hard on anything while you’re on the ground near the bike. It shouldn’t take much pressure once you can see and pull on the plastic clip.

    This is going to sound dumb. Do they need to be torqued back on? Or will hand tighten work?

    • @orlandoflores7720
      @orlandoflores7720 3 місяці тому

      I doubt very much they need to be torqued. I would recommend hand tightening but not over tightening. You'll know when to stop.
