I watched this video 6 years ago when I was 15 And I really wanted either a CBR or CB 650f I was riding a Yamaha r15 at the time I kept coming back to this video as this was a dream bike of mine for years Now 6 years later at 21 years old I've bought a 2016 CB650f Thx for the awesome content ✌️
1-Stock exhaust 2-Stock front levers 3- windscreen 4- Front turn signals 5-back lights 6- seat covers 7- ABS system, no ability to turn it off 8- Foot pegs are floppy 9- The front suspension is not adjustable 10- the most hated feature, the front headlight.
I think it looks great. The one thing I was determined to have was "ABS" on my Bike. I love it. It is a great safety feature. Each to their own of course. Keep having fun.
This honestly the best review I have seen for any motorcycle. I love the mods their pretty simple but effective. You just help me a lot on the bike I want honestly.
The 2015 CBR650f was my first bike. Never had ridden before and picked up riding insanely fast. Within a month I was already board. So 2 months after getting it I went and got a 2016 ZX6R/636. I love the power and torque on my 636. I just bought an R1. I crave more and more power man. So now i have 3 bikes and my 2015 650F only has 1275 miles on it. My boy kept telling me not to get the 650 and to at least get a 600cc and i didnt listen so now im stuck making payments on a bike i do not even ride. I like your video though and i subscribed. Keep up the good work
there is only so many places you can use even the speed of a 650 without getting into serious legal troubles as it is, sure its not a RR or a litre but honestly I am still really happy with it, and no way either of the those comes close to how comfy the 650f is. i love a 1000km day exploring northern Ontario and on a RR I would 1.get tickets/towed 2.kill my back. Thanks for subscribing, its appreciated!
You could add a small amount of fluid to the forks to reduce dive under heavy braking: all you have to do is unscrew the top caps, add even amounts of fork oil then reassemble. Still won't fix the squishy progressive springs.
I got a new 2016 CBR650F today . I trade in my NC700x for it. The only thing I miss from the NC is the trunk. Regardless the NC700x was a great bike. But I need something with more speed and the CBR750f is the answer .
most of your complaints are cosmetic that are easily fixed. Almost all the Hondas (or any OEM motorcycle part for any brand of bike) have ugly exhausts, turn signals, pegs, cheap levers, fenders, etc. it's how they make their money and there is a protocol that they have to go by. I'm looking at this bike but I agree I hate the cyclop head light.
California for example, we can't have any other exhaust except the OEM (but no one listens), no integrated tail lights, specific fender eliminators, etc.... it sucks but also the company's are trying to save the consumer money because if they had high end modifications, your bike could rack up to 10k easily and so on and so forth, scaring people away with their prices to make a profit.
true, its a very well priced bike, no doubt they cut some corners in order to keep it so. the single headlamp has grown on me but still prefer a dual light setup
Yea like they all try copying each other, i used to like the later suzuki's same type off headlights. But love Honda to much, whit something differend i ment for honda.
I like the headlight on that bike. You can always change out the bulb with a Philips bright white from Canadian Tire. Rear Sprocket just wait til you need a new chain and change that out at the same time. ABS modular wow now your looking at some coin being tossed at the bike. At the end of the day it is a very nice bike you got there. My fav addition to it is the akra exhaust
+WildBill agreed, the exhaust is insane and well worth every penny! definitely looking at some LED bulb options and will be replacing sprocket on the chain for sure! Thanks for watching
Hi dude, your bike looks immense, really slick looking. I am considering purchasing one of these, and came across your review video. Just a quick question for you - Does the Honda CBR650F have a gear indicator on it ? So you can see what gear you are in ?? Thanks.
One thing I don't understand about your complaints. They all pretty much have to do with aesthetics. From your headlamp to your rear sprocket. If your so annoyed by these things then why did you proceed to purchase the bike? Don't get me wrong, I love your bike and I am looking to buy one just like it. I could understand if you were unsatisfied with the handling or powerband or mpg. But the aesthetics is something most people alter once they buy the bike.
+Ydkoll true, I love the bike, and my few dislikes I can live with. insurance kind of limited what i am able to purchase cause its so expensive on anything more powerful. I love the bike too!
From one motovlogger to another, nice work man! Youre very fluid when you speak. I was going to get this bike but I went with the Ninja 650 instead. i wanted that inline 4 from the Honda but instead went with the Kawi parallel twin. I just couldnt get over that single headlight and that was my deciding factor.
yeah, aesthetics can be a big deciding factor, my bro has an '09 Ninja 650 and he loves it, seating is a bit more upright and its got lots of power too, just a little less top end really. Thanks for the positive feedback, I've improved the mic placement soe there is a bit less breathing noise thankfully!
+IronicRebound Yeah I wanted the clip on bars so bad when I was deciding and loved the 650f had them but again couldnt get over the headlight lol. Youre right though, 650f has about 90ish hp and kawi650 only had about 65hp but still had a good amount of tourque to hp ratio. I was watching my last video and found myself having the heavy breathing problem too... we sound like were going up a flight of stairs lol hahaha. keep it up bud, love your channel!
Also I also had a Ninja 650, 1st sport bike, previously cruisers and dual purpose, and that bike was the greatest (except it would slam into 1st gear) then it was only sport bikes. Still miss that bike.
I started riding in Nov of 2016, so brand new rider, I had a VFR-800 Interceptor. I liked it a lot, and put a bunch of money in it, though it was a 15 year old bike... But I was craving for a new bike, just to start fresh for myself. I dunno, it makes sense to me. And I picked up a 2016 CBR650F last week. I love the bike, despite the lower power. It feels nicer, and much more forgiving with shifting up and down. The surges are minimal, which is awesome. It's comfortable and looks great. I frankly love the single headlight, though, I need to adjust its angle. My biggest gripe, like the first part of your list, is the exhaust. I can't wait to change that, and hear the engine the way it should be. Otherwise, I ask myself while riding, "am I riding an electric bike or something?" Though, I can't crank the bike too hard at the moment, I'm still in the process of breaking it in. Only got 200 miles on. Well, good list, and I agree with what you say. And I will be changing, on my bike, some of the similar stuff that you changed.
IronicRebound yeah, man, the Interceptor was a beast, I'll give it that. But new ones are buku money lol. Speaking of buku money, that akra exhaust was pretty expensive wasn't it? I bought myself a blackwidow 200mm exhaust system. It's like half the price. But it's still beastly af. Good riding bro.
hey i am looking at this as sports tourer in my country (India) did a short test and felt suspension good enough for our bumpy roads still need an idea as to how itll fare on long rides
I'm 6'3" and have herniated discs in my lower back. I did over 1700km in 20 hours last year and wasn't sore the next day. This bike is surprisingly comfortable over long distances, but it may just compliment my particular dimensions well. I think it's important to sit on a lot of bikes and see what feels good and offers your body type room to move around, which is obviously important for touring.
Do you still have this bike? How many miles did you put on it? Has it been reliable? I'm wondering how bikes made in Thailand compare to bikes made in Japan.
My only complaint about mine is the god awful license plate bracket and the price point for an exhaust! right now it sounds electric XD, love mine tho, i have had it less than a week and already have 300 miles on it
full system was actually surprisingly affordable, considering I have seen slip ons for similar prices! I'm glad the license bracket is just a few bolts to remove, on my 500r i required cutting
+IronicRebound Your right I bet it's more comfortable but as for insurance I know here in Ontario we get raped by the instance companies. I pay 600 for the year on a 600rr but I'm in my thirties so age def is a factor.
+BRIDGE CITY RIDER thats cheapest I've ever heard... full coverage? what broker/company? i now have one speeding ticket conviction as of mid Feb, that isnt helping
+IronicRebound yea full coverage. I know right being I was a new rider and that being my first bike I thought they mad a mistake lol. Hey when's your next humpday hangout?
+BRIDGE CITY RIDER Wtf only 600 a year I'm 17 and with the ninja 300 it would cost me 3100 a year in Brampton Ontario..... ;-; And you think that's bad?! My mom gave me her old 2003 Honda civic but in Ontario for some reason older cars cost more and I'm 17 FOR GOD SAKE HELP ME! :'(
Bro, for your windscreen, I put on the Ermax sports one, its on point. Changed it later for a custom made one and im going back to the ermax one. Pushed it to top speed, had no problem whatsoever.
I have the same bike... but I'm not sure if i want to buy a new exhaust .. or gut the factory one .. but ... I have the same issues with my bike.. .. the main one being the front forks..
customizing the stock is definitely a cheaper alternative, but its much needed over the stock sound. front shocks are ok, if you weight less than 150lbs
Usually the abs system has a fuse that can be removed a voala! you might have an anoying service light in your face but you should have seen my friends face when I took the fuses out of his e36 m3 and drove it sidways. Don't recommend this for beginer though. He totaled his car a week later. Motorcycles are much harder to control when a tire brakes loose. Ride safe man.
Hey IronicRebound, thanks for the video man! I had a few quick questions. In regards to the turn flush turn signals, the wiring doesn't require and alteration, does it? In regards to the fender eliminator, did you have any problems blowing any fuses?
I found a good deal on one of these. That headlight is really the one thing keeping me from buying it. The later 650f got a facelift and the front end looks a bit better
i hate the amount of plastic to come off to get to the filter and cpu area. last bike was a gpz1000rx and it was a 5 minute job to remove fairing. the cbr couldnt be more pain in the neck if they tried. screws hidden at funny angles, and are so brittle when unscrewing from mounts its like it was designed to snap. the vibration at 110kph is ridiculous, and yep, the headlight is less than useless.
Great video. Whats your opinion on this being my first bike? Im 6'1 225lbs, and 30 years old. I have alittle bit of riding experience and a motorcycle safety course under my belt. Do you think it would be a good starter bike? any advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers
not sure how you rate "slow" but it can take a RR off the line, although not for long due to its gearing. top speed is more than double any speed limits around here, I still love it! Thanks for the feedback tho.
Have you considered replacing the oem chain and sprockets? I have found mine have corroded and tarnished after only 18 months of predominantly good weather use and dry garaging. Any thoughts on what brand to use? Re tyres - I've just replaced mine with Pirelli Diablos... highly recommended on this bike.
Sorry for the late reply, musta missed this one? My chain is still going at 30,000km, but starting to kink a bit, with no corrosion. My sprocket is in good shape, although having rode in salty winter its a bit pitted and etched, so its not an easy clean. I went with michelin PR4 for my first tires after the stock and got 15,000km, need to be replacing them asap tho
the exhaust alone was over a thousand canadian, and techically i need to spend another thousand on dynotune, and power commander... on the other bits less than 500
I got the new cbr 650f 2016 the red and white ,but your bike color looks sick! Thanks for video I am changing the front light to the angel eye also doing other changes almost like your bike (ironic) Cool video!
I have a CB650f, i have the exact same 10 things as you apart from the screen (as i don't have on) number 10 for me is how juddery it is at low revs and 11 false neutrals it pulls out on you... apart from that its bloody brilliant!
iim looking at picking one of these up in flat black. only thing im debating for is because of that damn front headlight. but like you said.... its starting to grow on me
The stock plate holder/tail looks like a kick in the nuts, ive been thinking of changing it on my cb500f for a while now, anyhow i need a serious answer. Whats ur oil consumption on base kms? On the internet it says that the 650 never goes under 21km per liter but i find it hard to believe considering the power it holds. Im considering a future upgrade
+Jeremy Ritter I rode with a 500 rider 2 weeks ago and he couldn't keep up so I would say very noticeable. Think of this bike more so as a detuned 600rr.
+Jeremy Ritter 47hp to 87hp I think? I got this bike for $900CAN more than i paid for the 500R so well worth it for that motor alone. it does about double the km/hr in first gear than the 500R as well. noticeable power increase...VERY
I got the same bike. I agree with some things you say. I think it had enough power though. You to the legal speed limit very fast. More than 210-220 kmh on the Autobahn is pretty much enough (for most situations).
Hey, I just picked up this same bike and am loving it. Can you confirm the colour of the cowl you purchased? I can't seem to find a grey one anywhere, but yours seems to colour-match with the bodywork. Did you just get the matte black one?
For a 6ft1 rider does this bike match your size? Is it comfy or us it more on the smaller side? I'm the same height & doing research on buying first bike
IronicRebound few questions how does the seat cowl go over the stock seat? The stock seat bothers me and I want to replace it but haven't found anything lol. I'm also trying to find after market fairing kits but no luck with that aswell
+IronicRebound That can actually be part of the strategy. You can say "I cannot give you a ride right now" (no matter what they say, they love to be turned down just a little bit) "BUT hey... give me your number and I'll call you as soon as I take this shit off" :D The wait will make her want it even more. Success guaranteed. You're welcome ;D
the stock exhaust is beautiful and sleek And u want to change it to Akropovik? I would die to get a underbelly exhaust on my cbr 300r. Honda calls it racefit exhaust ( we usually call underbelly ). Can anyone tell me if I can get underbelly exhaust on CBR300R.
the akra is an underbody exhaust and it looks awesome on her if i do say so myself ;) love the underbody style. Its doable on any bike, but would require custom mid pipe work, any exhaust shop or even DIY would work.
Nice vid mate!..subbed!.....Im buying a CBR650F for my birthday next year....we have a restricted version here in Australia for learner riders (ECU restricted). What do you think about the CBR650F as a first bike? ..Im 6"2 and don't feel comfortable on a 500R and the 300's are far too small for me so its this or the Ninja 650, i don't like the seat on the Ninja ans it feels front heavy...the CBR feels better balanced and more comfortable for me. Thanks
I'm around 6ft, fits pretty good, much better than my 500r. My bro has the ninja650 and he's just over 6ft, both are pretty good for your height I'd say. Thanks for subscribing👌
Don't really know why anyone would compare this bike to a gsxr, completely different bikes. 650f is not a supersport. gsxr is a track bike. that said, im getting the gsxr. i love the comfort and the look of the 650, but i keep hearing about the vibrations. not about to spend 7000 on a buzzy bike. gsxr is an awesome bike and doesnt have to be ridden 160mph. you can also change the rider modes to slow it down. its all about what feels right to the rider, if i could test a 650 i would do that first, but dealers around here dont play that s@$4
Hey I actually just bought the fender eliminator you listed in the description. I haven't got it yet but i was just wondering if its a direct bolt on or is there some drilling required. Also do you have a link to the integrated taillight that you mentioned?
+David Johnson added the link in the description now for the tail light, and the eliminator fits using the same botls that removed to take of the tail. there are a couple gaps need filling (maybe a plastic sheet in the inside to avoid dirt/splashing inside the seat) and the bracket needs to be bent slighty, but its pretty straight forward. be sure to replace the hinge bolts with a suitable nut/bolt... i didnt and they cam loose within a day, and i lost my plate for a while.
I just bought this bike a few months ago (2018) and I would say "no". I had a CB400 for a long time and still have a Honda X4. This bike is too quick for a newbie. You can get in trouble fast on it. After a few months on the 650f, I have experienced a few situations where I was glad I had prior experience to handle the acceleration and heavy traffic. (I live in Seoul, South Korea for the past 20 years.)
man I love this bike but we have three same thing in mind I dislike 70 percent of what you said . they have a aftermarket seat it a little pricey but looks great
Not sure if you're still replying to messages but, i just got a hot bodies mgp slip on for my 2016 Honda CBR650F. Can you summarize with how the installation was for you? I'm gonna try putting it on tomorrow but have Zero clue how to lol
Nice video and great bike! Can you tell me about how much it cost, changing ur tail like that? This looks so much better then the old tail. I dont think Honda sell it without that ugly big licenceplateholder.
Hans van der Poel that small hinge replacement was cheap from aliexpress, less than 5$ but you need to find a way to keep it from swiveling, I used a couple zip ties
You used to have a CBR 500R and upgraded to the 650F? I currently own a 500R and have been thinking about upgrading to a 650F myself. Are you happy with the upgrade? Is there enough difference between the two bikes to justify the upgrade? I just got it in late August and it's my first bike. I've put about 4500 miles on it so far and it does not have ABS. Please advise me.
its a pretty big jump in power, close to twice the HP. comfort is on par with the 500r, with much better hwy passing power and way more stable at higher speed. I paid less that $1900 more than I did for my 500r, at that difference its definitely worth the upgrade
IronicRebound I understand. But you got one subscriber here. Not only that, but if you ever feel like riding in the Kansas City area, I'll ride with you.
The flush mounts look great, but doesn't that make them all but hidden from vehicles looking at you head-on? I imagine that's why the stock lights were bubbles.
Please help, how do you install the seat cowl? I'm considering buying one on eBay for around 80$ vs from Honda for 200$. But they don't provide installation instructions. I'm wondering if I have to drill or anything like that.. thanks
Yea, the MT07 has a few more CC on paper but the twin motor just doesnt have near the top end of the inline 4 on the 650F. Top speed is around 250km/hr
I watched this video 6 years ago when I was 15 And I really wanted either a CBR or CB 650f

Aye bro I’m about to buy mine on Thursday any tips ?
@@andrewstitt4513 ride safe
1-Stock exhaust
2-Stock front levers
3- windscreen
4- Front turn signals
5-back lights
6- seat covers
7- ABS system, no ability to turn it off
8- Foot pegs are floppy
9- The front suspension is not adjustable
10- the most hated feature, the front headlight.
The headlight swap to LED would be the absolute first upgrade.
i've owned and ridden it for over 20,000 kms in India and i absolutely loved every bit of it!
It's a great bike man. I remember back in 2015 when I test ride this bike it's an amazing motorcycle
+JAM ROCK MOTOVLOG Agreed!
I think it looks great. The one thing I was determined to have was "ABS" on my Bike. I love it. It is a great safety feature. Each to their own of course. Keep having fun.
+Idaho Rider its definitely a great feature, and has worked in my favour on more than a few occasions. Thanks for watching and the comment.
LOVE the color of your bike...
This honestly the best review I have seen for any motorcycle. I love the mods their pretty simple but effective. You just help me a lot on the bike I want honestly.

Making payments on 3 bikes. You DO need to slow down.
The rubber thing on the footpeg is actually there because it's a requirement for bikes manufactured in Thailand to have them on there.
You could add a small amount of fluid to the forks to reduce dive under heavy braking: all you have to do is unscrew the top caps, add even amounts of fork oil then reassemble. Still won't fix the squishy progressive springs.
I have since gone with heavier oil in the forks, adding more isnt advisable I have heard, add more pressure on the seals, more prone to failure.
Should be able to pull the fuse on the ABS circuit. Guess that's an on/off feature
Thats true!
Nice vid dude :)
+Dan Motovlogs Thanks, I appreciate that!
IronicRebound Know what I want? *Another one*
+Dan Motovlogs HA!
I got a new 2016 CBR650F today . I trade in my NC700x for it. The only thing I miss from the NC is the trunk. Regardless the NC700x was a great bike. But I need something with more speed and the CBR750f is the answer .
the NC is a pretty sweet ride, top speed lower than the 650F?
yes it is that is why I got the CBR650f as a second bike. The NC700x is good for commuting and as a first bike.
My CBR650F is the2016 model with ABS.
most of your complaints are cosmetic that are easily fixed. I think you should remove your helmet and speak
audio has gotten alot better since this thankfully!
Soham Makwana it's cold I'm February. leave him alone.
I actually like the single headlight better than the double :D
+FlyDangerous its growing on me
The headlight is one of the things i like about this bike, finely something different!
looks alot like the Fz6R
Yea like they all try copying each other, i used to like the later suzuki's same type off headlights.
But love Honda to much, whit something differend i ment for honda.
Love the bike... I have a cb500x and im 101% sure im buying this bike for the next season. Great vids
Its an awesome upgrade from the 500!

The seat cowl transforms the bike completely, nice 👌🏽
agreed! its kinda a ripoff but thats to be expected by the stealership
Looks like a 120hp+ bike with it, just more comfortable and less deadly
Really enjoying my 500r but kinda wishing I had stepped up the 650f. Nice vid!
+Mr. Budha The 500 is great for city, but if you have alot of hwy on your rides or commute, you notice its lacking.
Nice video. Love what you've done to the bike! Now let's bring on some consistent warm weather! Ride safe and hope to see you on the road.
+Michael Angeli cant wait to be able to commute daily!
Just found out about this bike and I decided if I don't buy a gsxr it'll be between the sv650sf or this
To clean the sprocket and chain the best thing to use is carosine/paraffin
kerosine is one of the main ingredients in WD40 apparently, taking off the chain and soaking it in it is the ideal for sure
Very interesting video. I was wondering what your next bike would be Sir?
+TassieLorenzo Triumph Daytona or Speed Triple, if i can ever afford insurance for such a bike!
IronicRebound Yowzah! Great taste.
Joe Bailey damn who the fuck insures you Jesus?
It must be awesome having a 650F that revs all the way, here in AUS they are classed as a learner bike and they are restricted which is pure sadness.
seems a waste, moreso if you cant remove the restriction once you get your full license
do u mean austria or australia? xD
Apparently you can get it 'destricted' at Honda dealers
Hi dude, your bike looks immense, really slick looking. I am considering purchasing one of these, and came across your review video. Just a quick question for you - Does the Honda CBR650F have a gear indicator on it ? So you can see what gear you are in ?? Thanks.
No it doesn't have a gear indicator
I love it, yeah Deniz is correct, no gear indicator
It does not have a shift indicator
Thanks , I purchased a CBR 650F now. Lol, thanks anyway.

Hi I ride the CB650F and I found under the seat the are Fuses. So just take out those that say ABS on them or wire a switch to them.

I was watching my last video and found myself having the heavy breathing problem too... we sound like were going up a flight of stairs lol hahaha. keep it up bud, love your channel!
I like the way you commented on the guys speech. There is too little constructive criticism on the internet
Also I also had a Ninja 650, 1st sport bike, previously cruisers and dual purpose, and that bike was the greatest (except it would slam into 1st gear) then it was only sport bikes. Still miss that bike.

Well, good list, and I agree with what you say. And I will be changing, on my bike, some of the similar stuff that you changed.
yeah the akra was an awesome and much needed upgrade! I been looking at those VFR interceptors, mean looking bikes
Great video, I don't like the stock exhaust sound either, do I need a power commander for a after market exhaust?
+Ezzat Perez you should get one, I havent yet but will be getting it tuned soon
+IronicRebound. ok thank you for your advice ✌
hey
i am looking at this as sports tourer in my country (India) did a short test and felt suspension good enough for our bumpy roads
still need an idea as to how itll fare on long rides
gone a good 1000km day and besides some typical soreness she was real comfy!
Ya mine sounds like electric bike way to quite
Great video! So what made you go with the 650f over the 600rr?
+BRIDGE CITY RIDER insurance mostly, but its also a more comfortable seating position
I have an MRA touring on backorder
IronicRebound can you tell me the difference you feel with the mra?
Like the colour. I have a 2015 cbr 650f in the pearl white. Love this bike.
Sweet ride, this bike is high up on my list of bikes to buy, great vid 👍
I have the same bike... but I'm not sure if i want to buy a new exhaust .. or gut the factory one .. but ... I have the same issues with my bike.. .. the main one being the front forks..
customizing the stock is definitely a cheaper alternative, but its much needed over the stock sound. front shocks are ok, if you weight less than 150lbs
You should check out the Projector Headlight for the cbr650f if you still have it.
I went LED, but yeah they look sweet
Usually the abs system has a fuse that can be removed a voala! you might have an anoying service light in your face but you should have seen my friends face when I took the fuses out of his e36 m3 and drove it sidways. Don't recommend this for beginer though. He totaled his car a week later. Motorcycles are much harder to control when a tire brakes loose. Ride safe man.
yeah I have figured it was just a fuse, but have stuck with it, comes in handy in the rain and when idiots cut you off for sure!
I'm looking forward to buy a 2018 cbr 650f
cant go wrong, shes a great ride
Did you have any problems with changing the exhaust? Engine light popping up due to o2 sensor or anything?
Great video. Whats your opinion on this being my first bike? Im 6'1 225lbs, and 30 years old. I have alittle bit of riding experience and a motorcycle safety course under my belt. Do you think it would be a good starter bike? any advice would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
for sure, and last you a couple seasons at least as its got lots of power. I'm about the same height and weight
not sure how you rate "slow" but it can take a RR off the line, although not for long due to its gearing. top speed is more than double any speed limits around here, I still love it! Thanks for the feedback tho.
Nice video. How much was the seat cowl.
too much!! close to 200$ canadian. looking into a custom seat now as well
Have you considered replacing the oem chain and sprockets? I have found mine have corroded and tarnished after only 18 months of predominantly good weather use and dry garaging. Any thoughts on what brand to use?
Re tyres - I've just replaced mine with Pirelli Diablos... highly recommended on this bike.
How many miles would you get out of them?
***** The Pirellis? I'll tell you when I replace them. Changed the Dunlop Sportmax at 5500 miles but could have got another 1000 out of them.
The instrument gauge is possibly the most beautiful set I’ve ever seen!
I like it, funny someone messaged its the most hideous... Guess its a matter of taste 😁
Hey man I saw you at MotoMadness^^ I enjoy your videos and yeah. Ride Safe:-D
Thanks, I appreciate it
Great review! Awesome color bike and really digging your mods. Nice work. Just curious how much money have you put into your mods?
the exhaust alone was over a thousand canadian, and techically i need to spend another thousand on dynotune, and power commander... on the other bits less than 500
Hi
Is it a good beginner bike?
I got the new cbr 650f 2016 the red and white ,but your bike color looks sick!
Thanks for video I am changing the front light to the angel eye also doing other changes almost like your bike (ironic)
Cool video!
I'm looking into the demon angel eyes too, would look awesome
Remove the ABS fuse in your fusebox to turn it off
+austin crews #protip 👌🏻✌️
I'm sorry, did you said that you can't change the headlight for HID?
Marcos Correa i have since installed LED, you can change bulb, just stuck with the single headlamp as opposed to the usual cbr dual lamp
Oh ok, do you made a video where we can see how the headlight looks with the LED?
Marcos Correa yeah, one of the recent in my "reviews" playlist
Did you just spray paint your windsheild? if so did it ever start to chip? and what type of paint was it?
plastidip on the underside, still flawless
do you think a complete beginner can handle the crb 650 f and would you recommend it as an entry bike?
+omegapsi847 yeah for sure, it could make a great starter bike
thx!
I have a CB650f, i have the exact same 10 things as you apart from the screen (as i don't have on) number 10 for me is how juddery it is at low revs and 11 false neutrals it pulls out on you... apart from that its bloody brilliant!
+MaTTyD 777 I havent had any issues with neutral fortunately
is there a video out there on how to do the tail tidy integrated led brake light with turn signals?
there is an integrated tail light, its a direct swap from the original, I have two led strips instead, the old tail just bolts off, easy
Hey thanks for the reply mate, Do you have a link by chance to take me to it? as I tried the one in the description but doesnt seem to work :(
iim looking at picking one of these up in flat black. only thing im debating for is because of that damn front headlight. but like you said.... its starting to grow on me
yeah definitely does grow on you, and deosnt look "bad" just not as good as dual in my opinion
+Cat Caturday my fuel consumption is a bit off, since the aftermarket exhaust and excessive rev bombs!
+IronicRebound did you change the whole exhaust system or just the slip on?
+WolfPackHD full system, go big or go home ;)
Did you need to add a power commander when you put the full exhaust on?
How big of a difference was there from the cbr500r to this bike? I'm trying decide between this bike or the cbr600rr. I currently ride a cbr500r
The cbr 600rr is for racing and the 650 f more for commuting (has less horsepowers too)
+lucada32 how much of a noticeable power increase over the cbr500r does the cbr650f have? I have heard it's not that noticeable.
True, over 100kmh in first gear is already at hwy speed limits
Can u tell me if i can shave seat on cbr650f i m little bit short and planning to buy it. Does seat have lot of foam in it or not?
Hey, I just picked up this same bike and am loving it. Can you confirm the colour of the cowl you purchased? I can't seem to find a grey one anywhere, but yours seems to colour-match with the bodywork. Did you just get the matte black one?
For a 6ft1 rider does this bike match your size? Is it comfy or us it more on the smaller side? I'm the same height & doing research on buying first bike
Im around 6ft, its a good size. You should definitely at least have a seat on your ride and ideally a test ride before you buy to be sure👌
The sprocket is made from Machine steel which will rust and corrode... This is done with costs in mind.
good review man, keep it up
thanks very much!
IronicRebound few questions how does the seat cowl go over the stock seat? The stock seat bothers me and I want to replace it but haven't found anything lol. I'm also trying to find after market fairing kits but no luck with that aswell
The seat cowl definitely improves it! Plus you don't have to deal with anybody asking you to give them a ride :D
+The Spanish Rider that could be an issue, when you have a female that wants a ride! but it definitely looks much better
+The Spanish Rider loving that tactic right there hahaha
+The Spanish Rider #protips
How long was the shipping from Ali express?
+Mr.Car can be 6-8 weeks, have been a few orders that had glitches and took longer... definitely only for items you can wait for.
the stock exhaust is beautiful and sleek And u want to change it to Akropovik? I would die to get a underbelly exhaust on my cbr 300r. Honda calls it racefit exhaust ( we usually call underbelly ). Can anyone tell me if I can get underbelly exhaust on CBR300R.
the akra is an underbody exhaust and it looks awesome on her if i do say so myself ;) love the underbody style. Its doable on any bike, but would require custom mid pipe work, any exhaust shop or even DIY would work.
Your Honda dealer should be able to adjust the preload of your bike to your needs
+PedroMuszalik right on, but damn they charge an arm and a leg!
Totally agree about the headlight. Doesn't have that tough look to it.
its grown on me, but i still love the dual headlight look
Can i fit on it with my 1,95??
When you added the flush mount turn signals where they plug and play or did you have to cut and splice some wires.
+trueone86 plug and play, I did use some double sided tape behind the lights so they were flush with the fairing, otherwise they end up a bit recessed
I was looking at a 500r as my first bike. Would the 650f be ok to start out on? Don't want to have to upgrade a year or 2 after purchase.
650 is definitely a great starter, my younger bro just got his first, a kawi ninja 650r
dual vlog this summer let me know? haha
+JAM ROCK MOTOVLOG Sounds good!
IronicRebound sounds like a deal man haha lets make it happen
Is this bike good for a first time brand new rider?
definitely!
No
and why not?
i have the CB version as my first bike! it's amazing
(I live in Seoul, South Korea for the past 20 years.)
what editing software do you use my man?
+ProneFreak117 Vegas Pro 13
Great bike. Only thing stopping me from getting it is the plain and ugly looking front headlights.
its grown on me some, but totally still prefer the dual headlight setup
can the handlebars and clip on be lowered?
Good question, I don't see why not. The cbr650r has them under I believe, much more leaned forward as a result.
man I love this bike but we have three same thing in mind I dislike 70 percent of what you said . they have a aftermarket seat it a little pricey but looks great
+Andres Duran I've seen the "racing" seat, looks great for sure
How does the handling of the 650 compare to the 500R?
You know I was just thinking about this...do Canadians know what the word "hate" is? I mean y'all are so damn nice! Also, nice video 😄
+Midwest Mayhem Hence the quotations on "hate"... definitely more "dislikes" than hate. Love my ride!
Not sure if you're still replying to messages but, i just got a hot bodies mgp slip on for my 2016 Honda CBR650F. Can you summarize with how the installation was for you? I'm gonna try putting it on tomorrow but have Zero clue how to lol
I installed the full akrapovic, it's was bolt on. There are at least a couple DIY vids on YT, process is same as most honda cbr
Nice video and great bike! Can you tell me about how much it cost, changing ur tail like that? This looks so much better then the old tail. I dont think Honda sell it without that ugly big licenceplateholder.
Hans van der Poel that small hinge replacement was cheap from aliexpress, less than 5$ but you need to find a way to keep it from swiveling, I used a couple zip ties
dude take your helmet off you sound like Darth Vader
I've improved the heavy breathing a bit since this vid, #workinprogress
IronicRebound Thank you!
You got any more videos coming out any time soon?
Terry Irwin soon hopefully, been a busy time with the day job, UA-cam doesn't exactly pay any bills 😏
IronicRebound I understand. But you got one subscriber here. Not only that, but if you ever feel like riding in the Kansas City area, I'll ride with you.
front turn signals are cool
Flush mounts ftw!
The flush mounts look great, but doesn't that make them all but hidden from vehicles looking at you head-on? I imagine that's why the stock lights were bubbles.
Where did you get the front turn signals?
Please help, how do you install the seat cowl? I'm considering buying one on eBay for around 80$ vs from Honda for 200$. But they don't provide installation instructions. I'm wondering if I have to drill or anything like that.. thanks
Or does it just slip on?
slip on, no drill
How's the insurance compared to the 600
Much cheaper
Is the Honda CB/cbr 650f faster than the Yamaha mt-07?
Astro cat yes
Astro cat mt=175-180 CBR=235
Yea, the MT07 has a few more CC on paper but the twin motor just doesnt have near the top end of the inline 4 on the 650F. Top speed is around 250km/hr
IronicRebound oh OK didnt hit t hat much
IronicRebound ok thanks mate, will probably be buying a cb650 in March
How about the high speed for this bike?
tops out around 244km/hr for me, way beyond any speed limits here
