Rekha looked like a goddess in the latest Vogue Arabia shoot. In one of the looks, she wore the Hyderabadi Khada Dupatta drape. Let’s find out more about it.

The traditional outfit is called "Chaugoshiya". As the name suggests, the oufit comprises of Chau or four garments: • A choli: tight blouse • Kurti: loose tunic • Tight pajama pants • Five-meter khada dupatta
Sorry to correct you but the hyderabadi dopata is preferably 7 yards and thepyjamas are not tight but what they call khara pyjama not too loose neither too tight and sleeves used to be half sleeves and it used to be in net fabric.

As a Bengali "Atpoure" Saree drape is my all time favorite . Every year's Durga Puja look book seems to be incomplete without a classic Red Bordered white saree
I want to visit bengal someday and I would definitely love to try the classic red-white Bengali sari. Our country is so diverse which makes me want to explore more of the culture from different parts of India and appreciate it and might even be a part of it.
We (Hyderabadi) wear khada dupatta( means dupatta which is wore longitudinally) comprises of either kurtani choli or kalidar kurta along with kalidar pajama and 5-7 metres dupatta with Chauhashia, 4 borders on left shoulder significatly, and most elegantly its made of a special cloth called "Khewa"which wo en with silk and silver... pajama made of brocade... with chadawi juta, jewlery like sat lada, gluband karan phool, added to it Mirza beparwa (jhoomar) gives a Hyderabad woman a gorgeous royal look.. I know all this because my mother made me wear all these on my Bismillah and my wedding too.
Aww she is gorgeous also the drape is magnificent. India is rich in its culture and i admire each and every draping style worn by Indian women and any even non-Indians for the record because the styles are heritage from the ancestors which we all should respect and celebrate. Love from Punjab❤ keep introducing the different colours of Indian culture.
khada dupptta is my favvv as i am hyderabadi i just wait for the events i could wear it justttt loveeeee itt so much and it has so much elegance in itself
The kurta is made of fine silk and the churidar is made of brocade. The best part of this ensemble is the six-m-long dupatta which has an intricately emroidered border called "Masala".
Rekha Ji always had a love and pride for Indian cultural dresses ❤ For those saying she looks young: well, make up and Botox rocks in the world of lights and action 😊
Dressing/clothing also shows our culture so we must also promote Indian diverse dressing styles as new fashion at least in India if not internationally
As an Odia, I love our traditional Gharapindha drape, which was and is traditionally worn by most Odias today, although we have 7 more drapes in our state itself.
@@shovanabajracharyaWe Odias traditionally wear 8 drapes, it's one of our sayings/proverbs in our language, although the most prominent/popular one was Gharapindha drape. We have Meher drape, Satkosia, Kanchula drapes as well.
I have been able to hreak my fashion fobia because of your videos. They are so informative and interesting. Love them.something interesting and new every time
As the much I love our hyderabadi fashion getting limelight, I fear fear twice much of it that bollywood and North people will turn it into more se xual as it will gain more popularity and more people will try to be wear and as usual they do for all kinds of traditional wear( like sarees), they will turn this also sexual without knowing how much this trending drape style means us. For them it maybe a new cool draping style to play and try new things with, but they don't how much it will hurt us for disrespecting our culture. People don't realise that when they turn something se xual, that thing will automatically becomes se xual even when others are not trying to make it one. When others look at that type of style they will automatically come back to that se xaul representations of that style, which so disrespectful for the one wearing them. That's what I had to say, u can wear it, but don't make it anything se xual, respect our culture. Thank you for coming into my TEDtalk.
Being a hyderabadi myself..it was really refresshing to see rekha rocking the khada dupatta❣️..wore this in my wedding and still lovvee the way it looked..cant wait till i wear this drape again😄

Rekha looks majestic and elegant in the outfit and rocking at her age❤❤❤
The classic drape that everyone normally follows is my favourite. Nothing, nothing, and nothing can beat it's aesthetics and perfection.
The concept of what is normal isn't same everywhere. In diverse region like this subcontinent saree drapes aren't not the same everywhere.
Dressing/clothing also shows our culture so we must also promote Indian diverse dressing styles as new fashion at least in India if not internationally
Now that is absolutely staggering 😮 she looked superb
