Also, instead of round bottles, you can use a hockey puck or I have found square vases or oil and vinegar bottles as well as alcohol bottles with at least a flat side work very well!
They're lovely Victorian flowers! The stamen are a great touch with their little gemmy tips. How clever to use bottles to mount them on the conduit. Gorgeous fun for your garden! 🌻
I just ran across your videos on Pinterest. I have been making glass flowers for a couple of years, but after watching your videos I have learned a lot of good information. You are a very good instructor. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve been making glass flowers for several years now, but I love the addition of using the nails and the glass gems as Stamen however, I use 100% clear silicone caulking, it much much easier to use and probably cheaper than buying all that epoxy and having to stir it up at each step, I have also made mushrooms with solar lights inside:) I also loved watching you make the birdfeeders out of upcycled glass because I have so many pieces that don’t quite fit for making a flower but now I can use them to make a birdbath or bird feeder, thanks!
Thank you! I agree about the silicone, I've been experimenting and it appears that silicone works well even in the hot sun. It's a learning process! Will have to try making mushrooms : ) Do you have channel or FB page?
Thank you! The hockey puck was easy to glue onto the back. But I like using the bottle with conduit pole because the pole is sturdier. It's a toss-up : )
Thank you for this video. I love how you used the nails. I have started a flower, using crystal, multi colored crystal door knobs for the center. I like the nails, it gives it dimension. I was stuck on how to attach it to the pole, you bottle trick is a wonderful idea. When your egg dish was upside down and the gems showing through, I wondered could you make a mushroom. (:
I like to do things the easy way, so the bottle on the back was the best for me. I would love to see your flowers when you finish! And yes I will look into doing mushrooms sometime ; )
I love the addition of gems. Do you think the nails might rust? I have been collecting some dishes and bowls to make flowers like this, and because I also do beadwork, I have some good materials at hand. I’ve made stamens using copper wire and crystal beads. Can’t wait to assemble them to see how they turn out. Thanks so much for your demonstration.
Thank you! The nails may rust but I think they will still look okay with a rusty patina ; ) I've also more recently made flowers with copper wire and beads. Check out my newer videos! It's so fun to experiment with new techniques. Have fun making yours! ♥
So I'm commenting 9 monts after your initial post, I was wondering how the spray foam was holding up or (as I haven't watched all your videos yet) have you found a different/better solution?
SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed this video! Thanks for commenting, you are all an inspiration : ) Keep Creating! Sending love to all ♥

Yes hockey pucks work great! These flowers with the bottles were my first attempt. I need to find bottles with a flat side, that's a good idea : )

Thank you so much! They were so fun to make, and loved adding color to a shady area of the garden : )

Wonderful! Glad to know you found them on Pinterest : ) I learn as I go, and have so much fun making them! Thank you for your kind comments ♥
Do you think you could use resin instead of epoxy for the hangers on your bird feeders? I don't know if it would be less expensive.

I love that ur inspector came by to check out ur work!!
They turned out lovely.p
I forgot to mention that u can use WD40 to clean out the spray nozzle tube so u can use it again another time.
Thank you so much! ♥
I didn't know that! Will try next time : )
So very unique and beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊 ♥
Very nicely demonstrated. Colors and pieces artistically chosen. I’m inspired.
Thank you so much! ♥
GE Silicone caulk works amazingly well on these glass projects. Ive found E6000 to be nearly useless. Enjoy your flower making!
I agree! ♥
Great Job!! I might try this..
You should! Thank you ♥
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring. I too have been collecting glass. Just waiting for some free time to start
You can do it!
Love the gorgeous glass creations, I may have to give it a dry!!!❤
What is the LOUD NOISE???
Thank you! You should try it, it's fun ♥ The noise is cicadas : )
These are gorgeous 😍
Thank you! 😊
Absolutely beautiful. Which do you prefer, the bottle or the hockey puck? Big fan from Texas ♥️🤠💐

Very pretty wish I could find nice glass stuff so I could try to make one.
You can do it! Thrift stores, Goodwill... keep looking : )
You can also use some of these pieces to create a butterfly and be watering station
I just finished a water fountain that could also be a bee station ; ) ♥

They are still holding up very well. I even show these flowers in several of my recent videos, including my recent adhesive experiment : )
Shame you can’t figure out how to creat a leaf thet can take the weather
That's always a possibility...
