Wow, I’ve just discovered your channel, and I can’t believe that this shop is in my local town of Bristol!! I’m definitely going to give them a visit. I’m also fascinated by your music, and have taken the plunge and bought super sexy, heartbreak album on 💿 cd. Can’t wait to listen to it. I was only watching brave beaters, then the algorithm pointed me to your channel. then the rest as they say is history!
Omg this is fantastic .. I live in Bristol and I’m also a watch nut … and I can’t believe I was not already aware of this place.. I will be paying a visit very soon, thanks so much for the heads up .🙏
I usually dont comment on videos but I really liked this one. It would be also really interesting to know what watch those guys are wearing. Especially because they work in the industry and they seemd to have a lot of knowledge and a special taste.
Thank you for using your name and platform to bring to our awareness this unsung craftsman. I have subscribed to so many watch channels for years, and I have never heard of Kopf Watch.
What a great video! Some amazing watches there. The watch that intrigued me the most was the Pocket fob watch with the little pendulum, but it was not shown unfortunately. That one really caught my eye!
My daughter and I gaze into Horological Underground each week (occasionally we even pop in). A proper hidden gem in Broadmead! Had read a little about German's unique mind and collection so this is fascinating to see!
Congratulations on the new addition to your collection. And, you added some happy memories to it right away... great idea. I had a look at German's website. There was nothing interesting in my price range, that wasn't already out of stock. Oh well, I'll stick to my cheap Orloff Dunes watch with its' Swiss quartz movement, sapphire crystal and Hamilton Khaki inspired looks.
Top job Mary. I have heard of the Kopf before and it blew my noggin. I've known about the shop for a while but I've yet to visit as my wallet isn't heavy enough and like you I would likely walk out after buying something. Music and watches, these have been two of my favourite subject for some decades. Maybe one day I'll get to see you play live and yes I may well be the one clocking what you have on your wrist while mouthing the lyrics to one of your songs.
Mary, this new channel is wonderful! As a subscriber to your music channel (and now this one), I was excited, but perplexed when the thumbnail for your first watch video came up. I hope you are allowed access to all sorts of watch places to make your mini (and maxi) docu-videos. The next time you are in the States, you might want to visit the National Watch and Clock museum in Columbia, PA and the RGM watch company in Mt. Joy, PA. These are both near Lancaster, PA which is the ancestral home of the Hamilton Watch Company whose beautiful factory building still stands (though it is apartments now). All three of these are less than a two hour drive from Martin's headquarters in Nazereth. Thank you for doing what you do!
Mary, I think you should call up Attenborough, volunteer your services to do narration or audio books? You have a heckuva voice. It’s captivating. I know you’re a singer-songwriter, but your speaking voice, it has something that I can’t quite put my finger on that sucks the listener in. Smooth? Siren-like? That’s not quite right, but it’s as close as I can get at the moment.
I love you very much, Mary. Your videos about music are inspirational and the advice you give for songwriters and content creators is undeniably, useful and helpful. I unfortunately will not subscribe to this channel. I am not a huge fan of watching videos having to do with things I can never possibly afford even if they’re about things that I enjoy. But I wish you all the best I hope this proves to be another success for you. Take care of yourself. Keep the advice for musicians coming.
What a cool watch shop. I have to visit Bristol someday and check this place out along with Fears of course (love Nicholas). The pocket watches are amazing. I have a 1902 Waltham pocket my dad passed on to me. Oh and I like the watch you picked up.
Lapping or polishing to a perfect flat to minimize Reflective distortion, imagine pre-1881, how much harder it was back in the old days when they did not have the modern conveniences of electric lighting and electric microscopes to view their progress / workmanship,
If you want other UK based watches to check out, Fears is based out of Bristol and has a distinct style. Christopher Ward is doing some cool stuff though much of their manufacturing is swiss. Bamford is London based - official customized for TAG Heuer but also a line of fun snoopy stuff.
Excellent video. Thanks. Does German take any crap for being another Russian guy making a face watch in the vein of the joker watch? I think that's by a Russian designer as well.
A Russian watchmaker, in his English workshop, makes a signature watch with a German name which to me feels Mexican, love it.
Brexit what?
¿Que?
I loved this video!! You have to let me know if ever you find yourself in Bristol again!!
Thank you Britt!
Because never you was telling about this watchmaker, Britt? 😥 Pa' darte una colleja 😄😄😄
I cannot believe we live in a world where Britt the Gringa and Mary Spender are in each other's comments. The watch community is the best!!!
@@spoontastico gente normal haciéndose comentarios unos a otros ¡Pero como hemos podido llegar a esto! [Irony mode in Spain]
Wonderful visit - thanks for taking us along, Mary. Love that treasure you took away too. Watching movements work is always mesmerizing.
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that you have a watch channel now 😄. 2 of my biggest passions on UA-cam and I can watch the same person 🙌
I feel the same way 😄

V Cool!!! Such INTERESTING Design! Thank you for this shop tour!
Did not have any idea Mary Spender would start one of my favorite watch channels this year but what a nice gift to me.
Your cinematography and his watch collection are a great duo
From zero to one of the most interesting horological channels on UA-cam in such a short time. Well done!~

Very cool look inside this gem of a shop. Thanks for taking us there.
Mary is a great storyteller & her genuine curiosity always makes for great content. Love it!
Such passion for their artistry and craft. It’s always a beautiful thing to see people love what they do, including the host of this channel. ❤
Thank you for sharing this little gem. You should get a watch with a guitar neck/head for the second hand. 😀
I usually dont comment on videos but I really liked this one. It would be also really interesting to know what watch those guys are wearing. Especially because they work in the industry and they seemd to have a lot of knowledge and a special taste.
It's been a while since I was last in Bristol.
But definitely a place to check out the next time I'm there.
The old art is back in business and thriving. Another eccentric watch maker. Love the gas lights in the Kopf! Congratulations on your lovely skeleton.
Thanks for sharing that watchmakers work shop. That was very amazing, love to shop all the amazing stores around the world someday.
Thank you for using your name and platform to bring to our awareness this unsung craftsman. I have subscribed to so many watch channels for years, and I have never heard of Kopf Watch.
Super cool and interesting-thanks for sharing! That vintage skeleton watch looks fantastic, and it's a great addition to your collection.
Belleza de relojes felicidades a los emprendedores
Thank you for this tour, Mary. What an amazing watch. And what an amazing world that is watchmaking.
Thank you, I’d seen his website and some fantastic(al) designs, so it was lovely to see the people and shop. I must go there when I’m next in Bristol.
That was an amazing watch. I would love to visit that shop.
What a great video! Some amazing watches there. The watch that intrigued me the most was the Pocket fob watch with the little pendulum, but it was not shown unfortunately. That one really caught my eye!
Two videos in, and already the most interesting watch related video I've seen all year.
My daughter and I gaze into Horological Underground each week (occasionally we even pop in). A proper hidden gem in Broadmead! Had read a little about German's unique mind and collection so this is fascinating to see!
Great find, thanks for sharing.
Your videos are really well made. Cant believe this is only 2nd video youve posted.

Thank you very much! Extremely interesting watch and Brand prented in a very charming way.
Best regards from Germany
OK cool, thought at first what is this going to be, but as a musician/artist you realize that in every work you do it is perfect.
Extraordinary! Thank you, Mary

reaaaaaaaaaaally love your videos on watches, both music nerd and watch enthusiast and this channel gives me live. Thank you
The kopf watch is a watch with a meaning and a story i love it!
i NEED this skull/robot watch!
This is amazing for a second episode. Really excited to follow this channel going forward!
It's never been a better time to be a watch enthusiast!
So much diversity, quality, and quantity. 😊👍
Nice purchase. Cool video. Thank you & all the best.
What a great shop! I can tell this isn't going to be just another watch channel... thanks!
Music and horology, who knew the two were a match made in heaven

Another great video 👍
The skull watch is dope really cool the guy has skill.
Great video! That "Big Spender NTJ" piece at the end (that you ended up buying) looks a lot like the Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles Skeleton.
Dang this watch channel sure has some sweet background music...

Congrats to your brother and if by any chance you want to be the next, I’m here ready to propose, ok? ❤😂
Very interesting video and some super cool looking wrist candy.
Love your style of videos please keep them coming!
Great video, perhaps some B-Roll of close ups the watches to better appreciate would be great but truly unique pieces and awesome
Superb content, original content with drooling qualities🤤😍👌❤️👍😻
Great job! you're 2 for 2
Unfortunately I live in America otherwise I’d totally would visit!
Great video, Mary!
PHENOMENAL VIDEO!!!!!
I really like the young apprentices also really part one of project
Gorgeous video
Fantastic video!
A little bit weird, but, same time, so cool.
I'm a Bristolian watch nerd... And I'm only just finding out about this place now?
i need this watch..coolest thing ever...puts my vacheron rolex and everything else i have to shame😊

Abso-bloody-brillliant! ❤🎉😮
Pocket watches are great buys a very undervalued market
Very cool design, but the 8k price is a little salty.
If it only had a heart…
Tonight, German joins the hunt...
😉
Thank you
Great !!! 👏👏👏
Welcome to the dress watch world! Prepare to say goodbye to your money lol
It reminds me of my portable Philips Philly shaver.
It's funny to see another musician get sucked down the horological hole. And all those watchmaking tools!
Nice nic nice
Was going to like this lovely video but I have a screen shot of the likes being 666 so I couldn’t risk the wrath of the beast…
Russian who makes face watches. Like constenin cheykan (i might've spelled it wrong)
Why nobody English youtubers hadn't told about this watchmaker?

Pretty funky but not sure if I could rock that.
Surprisingly interesting ...
Привет! Как дела?

Lol I thought it was an owl.
God dammit i had this idea
🤯
My I can listen to you talk about sewing ASMR
OMG
Welcome to the dark side, of watches.
That KOPF looks amazing, but £9600 including VAT is too rich for me.
Lovely
Either John Mayer or Nico Leonard will contact her soon😊
Kopf certainly isn't my cup of tea ... but I'm glad that it exists -- always nice to see people doing something different / weird.

I hope you visited our friends Fears!
Excellent video. Thanks. Does German take any crap for being another Russian guy making a face watch in the vein of the joker watch? I think that's by a Russian designer as well.
They were developed in the same workshop at the same time in Moscow, they still work closely together :)
@@stupetidbuge6684 very cool. Thanks
Interesting watch, but I’ll wait for the Chinese knockoff!
