Randy, for the EQE, only technicians can open the hood. Unfortunately, there's no frunk like Teslas. You'll see some of the components of the vehicle.
On the driver's fender, there's a panel that opens up. It's where you add washer fluid.
I hope this helps.
The hood *can* be opened, there's a screw that holds on a cover where a hood popper would be, and it's under that. Interesting to say the least!

Randy, the EQE is an electric E class, and Mercedes doesn’t allow access to the frunk, only Mercedes Techs can access the frunk.

I've kinda been wanting a Merc lately as well. Something like a 2014+ e350. Nothing real fast but something I can take to a nice place and feel established. Can feel that way with a lot of newer cars but Merc stands for something.
Be careful about that 3.5 V6. They have a fair amount of issues as they aged. The 3.2 is older/less powerful, but a lot more reliable.

@@BruceCultureAllen they’re known for timing chain/guide issues and oil seal/oil burning issues into the higher miles that the 3.2 never dealt with as it aged. It’s not so much that it’s a bad engine, but it has faults that the 3.2 doesn’t which, to me, doesn’t make up for the higher HP of the 3.5.

EQS under the dash on the left side there is a panel with a screw in it and held up with two pop clips. Undo the screw and clips and there is a red fronk lever, pull it and there is no fronk latch just open it up and the fronk levers have stops to hold it open.

You might stand a chance on that Mercedes S 430 Randy because they published the higher mileage, unless one came out and looked at it they would bid on it based on the higher mileage! For the EQE, you have to unscrew that little panel ( where the traditional hood release would be ) and then pull the lever. Of course, Mercedes doesn't tell you that because they don't want anyone under there. Also for the emblems all over the dash, it's an option. You can get plain wood across there if you wanted.

In Europe there is glass instrument boards from the left to the right in the EQ series and not like in USA .
Definitely go with the Mercedes.

I bought a new amp and it had all kinds of vents and was really nice well I accidentally left beer cans in my trunk all that beer popped open just like your can. It sprayed beer all inside my new amp. Hey one channel still worked and I told dude what happened but he still bought it. I sold it to him super cheap. Your to honest Randy. I know you want to be transparent but being to honest might bite ya a bit. I like how honest you are and it was hard to tell if you did hit that amp at all.

Hello Randy. The 2018 Mercedes S450 is a good looking car. The 2022 Mercedes SL55 is a good looking car.
About the Challenger with only 12K on it. Since this year is the end of the Challenger and Charger, I'm thinking a mint, low mileage unit would be a good investment for the future, these vehicles will become more sought after years down the road.
That coke can was in a hot car so it was under high pressure. A feather could have caused it to pop.
I liked the c43 and would drive it in a heartbeat.
I was hoping you would look at that Lexus. Much more reliable than a Mercedes. I still love Mercedes.
273 miles of range is trash. Until manufacturers get the range pass 350 it’s not viable

Randy, mercedes won't allow the owner to access the front. Only authorized mechanics may be allowed to open the front. Just like mercedes to do that.
Like the Benz’s too bad you couldn’t get into the yellow one. Hmm silver one is decent. Two door bmw is nice hope you can grab it. Red scat pack very nice!!

Randy on the Mercedes EV, they don't want you under the hood. There is no storage. The release is buried, but there's nothing to see but a bunch of electronics anyway.

I think that the C43amg is an alternative to the C63 amg. It’s not a true AMG but it’s a great car. It’s for the consumer who either can’t or refuses to pay the C63 amg price..

I’ve driven one of these. The EPA figures are optimistic at best. The best I could get was 10pm city in normal driving conditions 🤷

Swipe your hand across the door handle on the SL, it’s not like the Model S where you tap the handle and it pops out. If it doesn’t pop out it’s either locked or dead. If you know it’s open and it’s dead you can make the handle into a switchblade but when the rear pops out the pull on the handle as hard as you can. If you wish to try, I’ve learned from the people I know at my Benz dealer.

There is no Frunk access on the EQE.
The real problem I have with electric is I have to pay for charging and the cost of charging is going up. At one point the cost to charge was about the same as gas. Then you add the cost of time.

There is a battery for the instruments in the front .Of course it opens in the front or you cannot charge the battery if required .
Melatonin should be used with caution when first using it . One mg. Is good place to start.
My families Mercedes CLA has those little black trackpads and I can confirm you do not get used to it..

Dude, that soda can exploding is not your fault at all. The fault lies with the dealer or auction house.
They leave the cars open for inspection and it's up to them to remove an obvious potential problem especially on hot days.
What happened to the blue dodge
All you do to open doors on that Mercedes SL55 AMG is slide your finger on the handle towards that little button.

The EQS in the USA looks horrible inside I don't like the weird dashboard the one they have in Europe is nice it's one big screen for your dashboard information and your radio information
The first Mercedes might sell at the wrong price because of the high milage listed and you might still be able to get it cheap.
Hi Randy,I totally agree with you all those Mercedes emblems everywhere they just spoil the look .I prefer to hear the engine doing its thing, the biggest drawback of EV,S. As usual loved the video.
Just because the odometer says 41k miles doesnt mean its necessarily the actual mileage. Maybe they pulled 111k miles total actual mileage from one of the control units that stores mileage. Buyer beware, odometer fraud is real.
I think all of these digital systems actually makes this type of fraud much easier. 😳

You can’t open the front on an EQE
I don't think gereral population in the US can effort even the maintiance cost for these two MB! It cost $4k just to open the hoods ans do general maintiance for these two cars!
The electic Mercedes had a panel under the dash u have to open and then u will see a latch u can pull to open the Frunk!!! Mercedes claims they dont want u to go in the Frunk but if its my vehicle i should be able to do as i please!!!
An EV is not for me. As for the SL 55, to each there on, but I'm not a fan of the yellow. I wonder, since it is so new and at the auction, is the color why it is not being sold at a Mercedes dealership.

I can't help but laugh and be a little offended by your obsession with "big" engines.
Here in Denmark, there are thousands of cars with a 4-cylinder engine of 1 liter and we get from A to B just fine.
I myself have a nice Nissan Qashqai 1.2 turbo with 117 HP and it is plenty nimble.
I think you have settled on the fact that a car must have a huge engine to be able to drive, that is not the case here in Denmark / Europe, where most cars have engines under 2 liters and they are usually faster than many heavy ones american cars ( no hate )
