Loaded container rolls over guardrail

- Received a call from a customer to respond to a severe accident where the container on a chassis rolled over on a 2 lane onramp over the guardrail, while still attached to the tractor which was upright. If you weren't a fan of me before, this video should change your mind!
This job had everything but low over head power lines. Tight working space, heavy load and required lots of careful rigging. First step was to separate the tractor from the chassis and get that out of the way since it was drivable. Next step was to secure the chassis so we can separate that from the container and tow it out of the way. Final step was the hardest; find a way to upright the container and get it onto the Landoll with the room we had.
My idea was to position the Landoll before we even do the flip, then do a mid air roll over and onto the Landoll in one shot. It's a bit advanced, but came out wonderful in my humble opinion, all done relatively quick and smooth like always.

I got hooked watching Heavy Rescue tow trucks by watching Highway Thru Hell. Since then I am obsessed with heavy tow trucks and rotators. on UA-cam . Ron Pratt is good but he needs to learn about editing, you Josh are without a doubt THE BEST THERE IS. I look forward to all your videos. You are so polite and complimentary to your co-workers and trainees. Your knowledge on recoveries is astounding and I hope you keep the videos coming. Thank you !!!
Buen desempeño del operador de la grúa. Felicitaciones. Viña del Mar Chile.
Love the way you treat your staff with so much respect because it's a two-way street. They'd go an extra mile for you with no questions asked. That one word 'please' goes a long way. Training new people will take Pepe into another generation. Bravo!
There coworkers
Just a regular worker
What a pointless comment. And?
a master class of a recovery from the master
Thank you!!
You are a hard worker and a real good thinker.
I love your videos.
First made a plan and then finished the job. Always came out as planned.
I'm originally from the Netherlands but greetings from Thailand.
Fist bump from me as well!!! VERY good job you and your guys!!!! The container roll over the Landoll without touching the Landoll was AWESOME!!!!
Nicely done! Learning a lot watching your positioning, rigging and lifting and your explanations to make the much smaller lifts that I do with my backhoe safer.
Excellent job. This job is what you and Joe needed. A complicated recovery to gain confidence in yourselves and your ability to work in sync with each other. Loved watching it.
Good afternoon Josh. Thanks for the great video again. I really enjoy watching the team work with you and your team. You guys always stay so cool. Josh you are such a great leader. Hands on is the only way for new people to learn. Great job. Safety is always on your mind. Can't wait until your next video. Keep them coming Josh 💪💪🔥🔥✌️✌️. Love from your #1 fan in Wilmington- Debra 🇺🇸🇺🇸 🤟🤟🙋🙋
These are the best videos you do, where you constantly explain to yourself and your guys how your going to accomplish the task. You are an excellent trainer! As a retired fire chief, I am impressed with what you do and how you do it. You should create a course for LAFD and LACFD on how you move this heavy iron safely. I’ll. Bet if you video it, you could sell it to every fire department in the country! Idea?😉👍
Stay safe!😁
Outstanding ! Very professional recovery as always. Thanks for recording this for us.
Sir Josh /Dave & the rest of the CREWS !!!! Great recovery with NO more damage to the container OR Customer's tractor !!! ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!
Josh should develop a vocational/automotive course in the art of vehicle towing and should copyright it !!!
Sign up for my masterclass in towing! Haha
Nice job Josh. On the job training is the best, good instruction and command of the situation. Joe seems like a quick learner and will be a top notch operator.
You guys are amazing you all do a awesome job hi in joy watching your videos be safe out there 👍🇺🇸😎🚛🦺👷♂️
OMG Josh I’m going to start calling you “Dr. Josh” It’s like you are surgically removing the all the damaged equipment and pieces bit by bit… Just like a Surgeon in the hospital does when he or she is involved in a critical operation…!!!! But You have that Extra Element of DANGER… Man oh man I APPRECIATE THE HELL OUT OF YOUR VIDEOS and have the utmost respect for you & what you and your crew do… and Perfect with the Please and Thank You’s… TOTAL RESPECT with your guys…!!! That’s an excellent sign of an AWSOME Owner Operator / Boss… Your Appreciation and Respect are spot on...! Thank you!!! & Another reason why I love your channel...!!!
Greetings from Bakersfield California, Josh “not yet Joe still twisted “ 🤣. The way it sounded funny, fantastic job. You’re a great teacher and joe is awesome. Like how you have control of the job and two rotators. Stay safe.
About 15 minutes in, you said the disconnect was "textbook". There is NO textbook for what you do! Just brain power and experience with a little math thrown in for safety. Thanks for keeping our highways safe and letting us enjoy your lessons.
Like I said “PEPE’S BEST IN THE WEST”and Joe is coming along as well 👍🏽🇺🇸
Thank you, appreciate it but I have some mega competition from some other top notch dudes, like Ten West, Statewide and Van Lingen of course.
We care, what an excellent job you guys did. Perfect teamwork. Your a perfect communicator and great boss, complimenting your employees yet being firm in your instructions. Way to go Josh. Love your videos !!!!!

Now we know why the LA port has a shortage of chasis... Pepe's towing for the win👍
Im an intermodal trucker in Cincinnati OH. There's a chassis shortage here as well.
Pepe's is one of my most favorite
You Tube channels.
Have to give you prop’s for taking care of heavy tow and rescue business.......
What a fantastic piece of synchronised lifting .. good job .... I so wish I had your job ..
man, i give you credit knowing where to hook up , etc. towing ,and getting to wrecks is not as easy as people think.it could even cause the loss of limb and life...
Nice triple play there and a good safe recovery. I take it Joe is not a rotator operator usually then? He did well under your supervision :) Unlike the bystanders... we all love your videos! that did make me chuckle that part hehehe. I appreciated the other truckers going past in that some slowed down and tooted their horn in concern/appreciation also.
He is not, but when we are very busy I can call any of my guys to bring a rotator and as long as myself or my dad is on scene we can walk it through together.
@@PepesTowingService Thanks for the update and that really makes me alot more appreciative of the training you guys go through on your job to be able to not only concentrate and work your own rig whilst managing a scene and its complexities .. but other users on equipment they are not used too and still work the job smoothly and efficiently.. and i think its quite important people realise this to be honest...
Hi Josh, I was wondering if it would have been possible to just load it on its side and then flip it in the yard... Good job! Ron...
The HULK did it again....GRAUUUUU....
Another good one PePe You'All Other Riggers Are Appreciated Man Outstanding On This Lift One Of Your Best Keep It Up
Texas in the house!!! Love your videos. 🙏🏼❤️
What's next for you Josh,
You could be an instructor, teaching others. Love the video's keep up the good work and god bless and stay safe.
You all did great again on this job
Another awesome video, Pepe’s is for real. Great job Josh! Thanks for sharing. Kevin
Steady and smooth. Great team. Cheers
very nice job. great video. tow on. god bless.
Another excellent job teamwork at it's best and great instructions by yourself Josh keep up the good work
Great job. You are qualified to teach this art form (or science). Good props help too, way to go BigFlipper and Hulk.
You guys have your aerial rotations and dog walking down to a science. You make it look easier than it really is. Nice work.
They do look easy when you watch them but ask any recovery operator, this stuff is tense.
@@PepesTowingService Yes, it isn't a job for the faint of heart.
@@PepesTowingService 💪💪🔥🔥👍👍
Great job! Love your continuous positive reinforcement and comments for your work buds :)
Great job as always pepes joe did great job don’t think people realize how hard it is to be able to run a truck flawlessly. Stay safe out there guys
Great work! Extremely well executed!
Great job Guys, good communication makes things end in a spectacular performance as well as teamwork and a good crew/team. looks like you have it all. Good luck and be safe ! Safety first ! 5 * to you and your Team.
👍👍👍👍
Again....another day at the office ...... good job
If you have a container that's not upright , no matter where alongside the road, Josh Joe and Pepes towing will be there for you
Nice job like a glove " stay safe "
AWESOME JOB FOR BOTH OF YOU!!!😎 You have great patience with your crew.
Breaking in a new guy. You need him to watch a bunch of your videos to learn what's what, and where everything is.
He's a FAST learner. I make it look easy but this stuff is very tricky, he did excellent on this one. It's not fair to compare someone brand new to a Rotator compared to myself. Hands on experience like this is the best way to learn
Bro the 4k is awesome, felt like I was there. The shine coming off the wheels made me grab my sunglasses!
Thanks! I really love messing with 4k and color grading, something I don't see anyone else do. Shame most people don't notice it.
Thanks & Leave it up to Josh to provides us with these unreal, hard to believe & insane video recoveries...! If it weren't for Josh, chances are we would of never of seen these... Both this one and the last vid are good shots for the calendar…! Unreal and nice job guys and a big thank you for bringing these to us, who enjoy watching what you do. Not something I've ever seen around our area...
Thank you Ray, glad everyone likes and appreciates these very difficult jobs we do.
I was holding my breath on this one. Really surprised that CHP did not close the lanes, or at least one, on the other side. But I guess that's good because traffic was not disrupted. Great video. Steak and lobster on the way.
You do fantastic work! Never a dull moment on your recovery’s. I take my hat off to you.👍
Josh gets all of the interesting calls... that one from the other day with those stacked canisters was amazing enough this week but this one is up there...
Both that call and this one are highlights for sure of some of my best jobs in terms of technicality
@@PepesTowingService I noticed the one at the port with the stacked canisters is gone. Was going to show that to someone. Were you asked to remove it?
I wonder what happened to the "forklift holding container falls over -- MAJOR accident" video from a few days ago. I saw it on my feed one day but was too busy to watch it. The next day it was taken down. I suppose it could have been like another video from a number of months ago when the customer's company logo was visible -- Josh took the video down and then put it back up some time later with the logo blurred out. Regan's and Josh's comments here make it sound like it would have been a good one to see. Oh well, we see a lot of other good stuff on this channel so if we never see the missing one, there'll be no reason to complain.
@@wideslammer I received a call from the company where it happened and they asked to take it down for security and other reasons, so I respected their wishes. Shame, it really was one of my best jobs I've ever posted.
@@PepesTowingService Thanks for the response. It's too bad you had to spend the time filming, commenting and editing and then to remove it from your channel. Obviously, you want to maintain good relations with your customers. That comes before the entertainment of your YT viewers.
It’s so nice to see a boss so patient with the employees to teach him I commend you you are a very good teacher and Joe’s learning well keep up the good work I love your videos
I love watching you guys work. Thanks for another awesome video!
Fantastic job guys !
How much did you calculate the container weighed? Nice job.
Text Book? You are writing it and it is good! From Bako
Haha good one! Appreciate the comment!
Great job to the Pepe's guys. You stated in this Video you still have a lot to learn well my friend the day you don't learn anything it will be a very bad day. Stay safe fellows.
Great teamwork.
You've got balls Pepe Jnr.
Great job you guys, for such a complex lift you guys always make it look so easy and we know it’s not. Awesome video.
another successful job by Pepe’s Towing crew
Incredible precision!
its funny i lived out in long beach in the 90s and they couldnt keep those things up and rolling back then, funny how things never change 4 the good of others
great to see the expert at work again ...always great to watch you and listen to what you say. This one had a potential for danger if it lets go
Pro move on the container flip. Strong work
colorado new subscriber be safe on those freeways . your a pro vaya con dios
Wow!! Fantastic teamwork. In sync the whole time. You the man Josh.
Better than the movies. even without the Michael Bay explosions
Those containers keep you busy.Great job in a tight area.

Perfect, that's exactly the way these videos are meant to be seen.
Another excellent job. "Maestro"
Good Job. Still wish you would give us a map and some impressions of what happened.
Impressive work Guys! I've only jest found your video library and see the quality of your work! Awesome Rotator tow trucks!!! Would be nice to have where I am! Have subscribed so keep up the great work and sharing! God be with all of you guys and keep safe!
Nice job
^5! Guys...yes, you bet...Your UA-cam viewers Definitely Care. Great job Josh. Peace out...YOU did it!
That was SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH
Love your work brother. No quicklocks on the front. The guy deserved that. Just so lucky that there wasn't someone under that box when it fell.
Good job guys
mannnnn I was on the edge of my seat (literally) when y'all were able to disconnect that tractor out of the way I was waiting for that chassis to bing bang boom move in all sorts of directions at once what with that wicket twist and the stored potential energy a lot of things, bad things, could have happened. I'm glad it didn't do some whiz bang maneuver and hurt someone.
best comment or statement or anything I heard... you Josh said "I still have a lot to learn" as we all know we never stop learning in this field of work. It's good to hear someone as awesome as you saying it, because it remind all of us that even the best are still learning things, and that no one is perfect.
Amazing new chapter to add to the textbook! But Joe standing that close to the road with his back to traffic was really unnerving!
EXCELLENT TOTALLY EXCELLENT Like
Always ,Way To Go Josh & The Triple Team Of
TOWING
I would hate to have to drive one of those container haulers, you never know what's inside and how it's loaded. Just an accident waiting to happen. As usual you guys have the soft touch.
they don't care HAH ! us U-TUBE fans LOVE IT , oh yes we care .. that was most excellent ..
Good job!!!! Y’all make it look easy!
Oh so thats why my shipment was all smashed up

Great Leadership! Awesome Teamwork!
You Guys Are Amazing!
Very Great Job.
I love your videos Pepe. I have watched many of you vids; I liked and subbed.
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota.
Fun in the sun. As always be safe..
It's amazing how the chassis just twisted like a pretzel.
I think your skill level is off the chart !! (-:
Good teamwork and good professional people. I would LOVE to work with a crew like yours.
Yes I do like Pepe's very much appreciated 👍👍👍 😊
