I made three decoys similiar to these about ten years ago. I call em "Spinnerbait Ducks". I took a brown coat hanger and attached it to the keel then wrapped it once around the neck then up in the air. A ball bearing swivel at the end with two plastic bottle bottoms cut to catch the wind. Paint one side black and one side white.

That’s a cool idea, but wouldn’t it be easier to transport if you didn’t glue in the dowel and just popped it out when you had to stow decoys?
