Having my second COFFEE, again , on an AMAZING Sunday morning in 🇨🇦 . Nice Lee Enfield, they shoot well. Take Care.
Hickok Hemmingway, I think he wrote, "For whom the gong tolls" and "The old man and the range".
I would love to read THOSE books!!
"A Hello To Arms," and "The Long Happy Life Of John Browning."
@@jerrybanley7695 They are on video!
There's nothing better then a cup of coffee and watching you laugh like a little kid enjoying shooting. God bless!
This is the exact experience!
You said it! Hickok's laughter never gets old. =)
I averaged at least 12 cans of Coke per day for decades. I quit cold turkey in 2016 and have not had any soda since. I lost 60 lbs in the first year, and I've kept it off. Stay with the Perrier!
Good for you. Yeah soda is way too sweet. Seltzer water, plain ice water, black coffee or tea for me.
How did you do that? I need help lol, I drink 5 big cans of monster everyday and I need to quit bad!
@@danielcurtis8746 definitely give their zero sugar ones a try. I used to get the nitro version alot but look at the calories in each. Zero sugar has 10...the others are all around 250-300.
@Daniel curtis. Dude quit monster all together. That shit is bad for you..
I like Kombucha as a good fizzy replacement for soda! 😋
Thing of beauty is the mark 3 , smooth as a cashmere codpiece and a joy to handle . Great video 👍🇬🇧
I’ve always wanted one but can’t find them in the mens department.
@@hookeaires6637 try a gun shop.🤪
@@boogingtonthunderwood8969 gun shops have cashmere codpieces now?
@@icky_mack lol not that I’ve noticed. By my attempting humor and addressing the statement as if he was referring to the rifle instead of the codpiece, I was being a specimen of wotchacallyer Common North American Smartass (schmuckus bufoonus).
men don’t say cashmere
Every one that I own is the 'last one that I would ever sell'. Each is unique and offers pure joy that only it can provide.
Gotta love a 1911. I think it’s awesome how you can speak honestly about everything. I just noticed our woods are greening up a little in Kentucky. My cherry tree out front is in bloom.
I always appreciate your sanity in this crazy world. Thanks!
You know the world is totally lost if I begin to appear "sane." :-)
@@hickok45 😆 I guess that tells us something about my own mental state
Hickok45 is right, when loved ones are gone it means really gone. Watched my late dad's old 12 ga mossberg drop a gobbler yesterday in the hands of my youngest boy.i passed it down to him when got big enough. I was with dad when he bought it in the late 80s...still gets it done.
Been thinking of John recently as I’ve been replacing several panels of my stockade fence. “This is a great gun for da fence”. Replaced the panels last week and this weekend was sawing then down so they would fit in the disposal container. Thanks for the chuckles Buddy.
Hi there from the UK,my grandad carried an smle in the first and second world wars,I agree many of these firearms are very personal items like a member of the family,my mum used to tell me that her dad had the rifle leaning against the wall just inside the back door and the bullets were in the cutlery draw after being gassed in WW1 he was a sergeant in the home guard and was at Gallipoli and passiondale in first WW.the army record office was bombed in WW2 but my grandads records survived although there was a lot of water damage, your trip sounds great you painted a very good picture,I wished I was there, and your right people dont appreciate the freedom they have to make these comments were provided by the very weapons they criticize and extreme sacrifice, just look at whats happening in Ukraine, thanks for the pearls of wisdom, atvbDave
love these old classic fire arms
Enfield MK III is a cool old rifle. mine was made in 1911, and has the cut off plate. and my Ithaca 1911 is a WW II US Army M1911A1.
great watching you out on the range.
Your videos are awesome 👏
You're a man of impeccable taste: the No. 1 Mk. II SMLE has to b the most elegant and effective of milsurp rifles.
Clark Gable and Roy Rogers were reportedly shooting skeet. Gable couldn't hit a clay and blamed his gun. Rogers offered to buy the gun and Gable agreed to sell it. Roy proceeded to hit every clay with that "defective" gun.
Good one, and that sort of thing happens regularly, I'm sure. It's so easy to blame the tool. Sometimes it IS the gun because the sights are off, but even in those cases, it's not really the gun. The gun is fine, and maybe the shooter is actually very competent; the sights just need to be adjusted properly.
More of you and your kind is what our country is lacking right now. Thank You for all that you do. You do it well
Good morning from Cleveland, Ohio! Here for another Sunday morning with hickok 45, and everyone!
Hello Cleveland. Greets from the Netherlands 🌷, T.
Love you man thank's for doing what you've always done you're awesome 👌
I love the 1911. I have my grandfather’s WW1 1911 service weapon.
Love this guy!
6 million strong!
Keep them coming Hickok
Gold sunday to y’all 🤠🤠🤠
👍
Hitting a target at 230 yards with a 45 acp is a very impressive deal. Normal people would be happy to hit one of the 2 liters at 20yards or so.
Hickok’s gong is about 80 yards away according to him.
This is the single most American thing I’ve ever seen
Sgt. Alvin York of Tennessee carried a U.S. M1917 Lee-Enfield and a 1911 .45 in WWI. His Enfield fired the American 30.06. It didn't matter to Sgt. York because his marksmanship was legendary. When a German saw York drawing a bead on him he immediately threw down his weapons and surrendered. Sgt. York once brought in 132 prisoners.
Model M1917.
Enfield,not Lee Enfield
Wow I was not expecting the jams. First time I've tuned into these 118 sunday shoot a rounds lol i guess haha. Great voices
Great shooting, gun reviews, excellent life coach advice, good humor!!! What more could you ask for, thanks for the great videos!!!
That's a nice one, beauty. Great rifle, I have a beat up one ( all I've ever seen at used gun racks/ stores) that shoots great...good to reload the. 303 as next to impossible to find. Great show as always Mr. Volunteer.
It's great to see you every Sunday doing what you do love the rifle.
I had the most vivid dream this morning that I ran into Hickock at a gun show while traveling through Tennessee , and offered him a ride home. During the ride we determined he was a pretty cool dude. It turns out I had gotten up in the night and and turned on UA-cam to help me go back to sleep , and the "shoot around"woke me up after influencing my dream. Hahahaha.
He's probably a cool dude regardless.
If I needed a ride home from a gun show, it was most likely because I traded my car for some firearm I just couldn't live without. :-)
@@hickok45 that'd be one helluva firearm I'm sure!!
I toured the fort in St. Augustine in 1963 on a band trip to Miami. This brought back great memories. Thanks!!!
love this channel. absolutely love it....thank you hickok45. (been watching almost 10 years now...thought i should say thanks.) learned so much.
I love watching your videos Hickok45 your like Family and I enjoy your Humor and wisdom and watching you do some good shooting at the range 🙂👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful Colt 1911, my 81-year-old uncle still carries his 1911 from his Army days in the 1950s. I carry my Sig P365 with a Hogue grip and extended magazine, works great for me.
You're right about the .45acp,it is a piece of history.I'm saving up for a Les Baer.
Buy a Bul Armory instead. You can thank me later.
Thank you very much for the video, very nice to watch and listen to.👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌💖
Me and my spouse Robert enjoy watching your videos. You always have so much fun smoking your pots! You have a great weekend.
As a young person thank you so much for all the great advice
Beautiful gun Hickok! Happy to wake up to this (:
Watching this at work, 3rd shift.
Guess my 15 minute break is gonna be long tonight lmaooo
Lol
Always good to see the No1 Mk3 SMLE. 🇦🇺
Really cool videos and some life lessons along the way. Thank You
I enjoy listening to all your stuff every Sunday morning!
Both of those Firearms are very reliable got a lot of deer!
Marco Island and Naples are beautiful! My brother went to law school in Naples; I was always happy to visit. Beats the hell outta NJ!!! Thanks for all the videos Hickok45!
Good morning! Life is good and thank you for sharing.
In the past I’ve watched a lot of Hickok45 videos and bought a lot of guns so my future will be watching more Hickok45 videos and buying more guns? Sounds awesome!
Great video on the old military rifles...thanks for sharing.
Looking foward to my first hickok45 season change! 🌼
Enjoying my cigar, a nice cup of coffee, Hickok45 on the tube, man life IS good ! Greets from the Netherlands 🌷 y'all, T.
I remember when I was about 11 or 12 years old, there was a farm auction and they sold one for $15 in the 70's.
Just think, a pre 70's 1911. I'm a pre 60s gun nut. Small world isn't it. Tanks 4 bring the Sunday shoot around Mr. Hickok45. Take care and ⌚your 6.........
Love the shoot around and advise , i agree on the respect thing i hear all the time
Great rifle. I also have the Enfield Jungle Carbine. All matching serial numbers. Very accurate little rifle and kicks like a mule. Love your channel. Thanks for your hard work.
A great moment with you...I enjoyed that, you and I have the same look of life and as you say...life is good 👍 thanks
You were spot on about movies today, as you are about everything else. Watched The Outlaw Josey Wales just last night. As usual your advise is also spot on.
You're right hickok45 , there's not very many good movies now a days. I hate when they remake a movie .I think the best movies were in the 70's 80's and 90's .
thanks for the sunday shootout john have a great week
I just had my Mauser out the other day on the home range. I’ve got my first 1911 coming and can’t wait. It’s not as cool as that hippie gun. Thank you for this cool video.
Wow
Huh?

Awesome 👌video Mr Hickok, keep them coming
I have a .303 Brit that was my Dad's. It has been "sport-er-ized" and has a more modern stock and a scope. I used to use it deer hunting when I was a teenager. Nice gun, but super heavy!
Thank you or your videos! They have helped me get back interested in shooting since not picking up one of my guns for over 20 years.
Great advice and insight
Don't even try to please everyone, you're videos are superb
Good morning. Thanks for making my day!
Happy sabbath hickock45!!! God bless you!
Same here about long Johns! Stay warm and happy as you fire your freedom stick! God bless!
Great speach popp thank you for what you do!
Awesome video I have come to expect nothing less!!
As always, great advise on Sunday mornings!! .303 Brit is nice!! Big thing would be finding .303
shells!!
They're not that hard to find. My gun store stocks a few boxes.
Reload, reload, reload
45 and 303 a damn good combination
As I get older ,I can afford to buy back all the guns I should have kept.🤠👍.
Agreed but as my first was a 44 mag (too much recoil for me now),and a Detonics Combat Master (too rare, much $$) I’ve replaced them with placebo’s.
Great video, I have a 1918 Mk 3 to...
Lots of rural Canadians had one of these as their first hi power rifle. It was my first upgrade from my .22. Nice to see the MKIII again.
hey hickok, love your videos, keep making them dude i look forward to the sunday shoot arounds, when i was 6 yrs old my dad in 1960 had a 22 cal. wards westernfield, he use to shoot ate the owls at night , the ones that would take a dive at him, the only gun he ever owned, i have it now, i have shot it several times, so now its going into a new rifle case i had bought for it. just a note my dad passed in 1984 he was 75 , thanks and keep it going
Yesterday on the 2nd April it was the 40th anniversary of the Argentinian invasion of the Falkland Islands. The service rifles for both the Argentines and the British was the FAL. The Brits with the Inch pattern semi automatic whilst the Argentines had fully automatic.
Good Sunday talk!
Glad you made it home safe.
Love that you actually know skin so soft is the best thing Avon ever made. Must be a Southern thing.
Very good at repelling ticks and such. Also, it attracts women like crazy!! :-)
@@hickok45 very true but only a very specific type of woman. Personally I see why it keeps ticks away 🤣
Thanks again from up the road in Springfield TN.
Great video thanks again hickhock
26minutes in: "Am I recording?"
🤣 know the feeling.
I figure one of you would tell me if I were not recording. :-)
I like to imagine you sitting there sharing a wealth of advice to us young folk for 26mins before realizing the camera wasn't on. or the lens cap still on, lol.
Love you hickok!!! shoutout from Poland !!!
Great video as usual.
Love your videos
“Life is good” 🤙
We love you old man💪🏾💯
Usually watch these at 6am when the drop but my two boys slept in today and I took advantage of that lol great video straight shooting as usual life is good
I inherited a MKIII from my dad when he passed. It was made in 1917.
He bought it in the early 60s some time. It had already been sporterized by someone else when he bought it.
It was Dads deer rifle. Sprorter stock and scope mount and scope were all that had been done.
I would like to find original stock assembly for correct year. Just to give it its original look.
I also have a 2A MKIII..308. It was made in 1966. Interesting how much the bolt was redesigned on the 2A but still retained the original look.
Love your channel!
I own 10 Lee Enfields No.1 Mk lll No.4 Mk-1 and No.5 jungle carbines. I have a No.1Mk.1 too. For my money the Lee Enfield is the best bolt action military rifle ever produced. If I had to go to war with a bolt gun make mine a Lee Enfield. It can fire as fast as an M-1 nearly. The 1911 is my choice for a combat weapon I carried one since 1971 both in the military and as a police officer.
Sir, Dry Tortugas west of Key West...so much history here. You will love it, trust me.
hickok45 = legend. My nod.
I enjoy your videos and I have a lot of respect for you appreciate you your big fan Kim
Thanks for visiting us in the Homestead and Florida keys, personally I miss to see you,to shake hands and thanks for your videos, see you next Sunday, God bless you and your family.
Thanks again for your time,i am truly grateful that everyone are going to have John 45sr and his son John Jr tech us for many years to come, God bless America is great
I really like my 365XL too, it’s as small as I can go in a handgun. I put the WC grip on and shot it a lot better over the course of a magazine because I don’t seem to have to readjust my grip.
Aww Man. You came thru Florida and I didn't get to meet you. Oh well..glad you enjoyed yourself in our great state (especially the Keys where "Life is good".
Even if you promoted a product, I would listen 👂 to you’re advice, and that’s just me. Great videos ❤️👍
Still waiting for my Hickok45 brand longjohns
Thank you for mentioning your thoughts on the Wilson p365 grip. Mine arrived Saturday and I'm very happy with it.
happy sunday, Hickok45.
