  • This is part 3 of Julie's home. My mom and I and some other helpers have been working on this hoarder home for a few weeks now. In this video, we will be cleaning a bathroom and A PIANO ROOM! You will not believe the before and after of the piano room! It's probably one of my favorite after shots of any room I have cleaned. It is BEAUTIFUL!! Plus, there are a lot of good scrubbing sounds in this one for those who enjoy that kind of thing.
    Also, check out this other cleaning channel. I love to support the clean-for-free community: / @cammyhell

    I love how this video turned out. It has been such a joy working with you the past several weeks.
    The estate sale yesterday turned out rather well. We had a lot of interested buyers come.
    Julie was also ready to donate what was left over even though there will be more sales.
    She only kept back a few of the high-end things that will be either sold online or put in the next sale.
    I am so proud of Bonnie and the wonderful work she is doing.
    Thank you, subscribers, for supporting her and for the supoort her husband and family are giving her.
    Thank you also for the uplifting comments about me. I am so grateful and blessed for the health I do have and I am able to serve others.

Thank you for all you're doing too, Donna, and I look forward to seeing you again in another epic series. :) PS. Get yourself some of those great footprint shoes. When you were on the floor, doing the floorboard vacuuming, I thought "Gee, Mom needs those hilarious feet-shoes too!" ;)

    I really appreciate how sweet and sensitive you are with your clients. I used to clean for a living before my disability took away my physical strength and stamina and I was so proud of the change that happened whenever I cleaned, and the appreciation my clients gave me for what was such a simple task. Now I would give anything to have the ability again. You really make a world of difference. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world, you are truly special. ❤

      Thank you so much. I really appreciate your sincere comment.❤️ And I'm sorry you aren't able to clean the way you once could. I'm sure I will get there someday and feel a little sad that I can't do what I used to be able to. This homeowner I'm helping is actually in the same boat as you. She used to help other people clean their houses until all of the trauma and health issues made that pretty much impossible and turned her life upside down. It makes me sad to see people lose those abilities, but there are also other very worthwhile things to do for other people such as just listening. People just want to be heard and appreciated. Thank you for doing your part in making a difference in people's lives as well.🙏💕💕

    Dentist here. Usually it takes 6 months after the implant surgery to put the final crown on so the bone can grow and fuse to the titanium implant. But it is better this way, if you put the crowns too soon and the implants are not fused to the bone you can loose everything. Your dentist should have told you this from the beginning. Let your body do the healing, after that you will have your dream smile! 😸

    • @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  2 місяці тому +2

      My implants have actually been ready to go for a few weeks. They even let them heal for a couple extra weeks just to make sure. Where the frustration lies is in the fact that the periodontist office scheduled my appointment with the dentist and they didn't schedule nearly enough time to prep my teeth for the crowns and this wasn't discovered until the day before my appointment and, by that time, the dentist's schedule was full for several weeks. I know it was an honest mistake because the periodontist office forgot that I was re-crowning all six of my front teeth and not just the two implants that they did. So, I have just been on a cancellation list and have been in twice to have four of the six teeth prepped and have two more to go. We're getting there, but it still could be another month. I'm anxious to get my smile back because everything looks so awful right now with now four temporaries all different colors.😬 I know it will be amazing, though. I just need to focus on being grateful that I even have the funds to do this (after saving up for 4 years).😊

      Not to spoil the end of this series of videos for you, but this didn't turn out exactly as well as hoped, but I'm hoping she has turned a corner since we were there and started getting rid of stuff because, at this point in the journey, she had only set it aside to be gotten rid of, but only a very small portion of it went into a yard sale...like 1% of what she probably should have gotten rid of. It's a very sad situation. But you are absolutely right about them not wanting help unless you go in with a non-judgmental attitude and try to understand their situation. Going in and just hauling everything off is one way to ensure that they are re-traumatized and will hoard to an even greater extent.

    FINALLY,at 24:32, a real,large,standing trash can!!!!!!🙌🏻 It has got to make decluttering easier instead of using a floppy trash bag and it’s not going to be mistaken for a donation bag. That really stresses me out and I wonder how many times the sorters at the thrift stores say, “Oh great,another bag of garbage!”😵‍💫😬😳😖

    • @DonnaStocking

      @@DonnaStocking Oh,great! I have seen channels where they use identical bags for garbage and donations. One time the woman started to put some trash in the donation bag and then said “oops” and put it in the other one. That’s why the real,upright can is so good in the actual sorting room!🙌🏻

    I have 6 dental implants. Depending on your situation; you may have to wait several months after the original tooth is pulled to allow for healing before having the implant set. Once the implant is set; you need to wait 6 months to properly let the bone grow around it. Your oral surgeon may check it every two months for any infection and tightness. Then, back to the dentist to have a mold made of your new bite. He will send the mold away to have the new tooth made. That can also take several weeks. Once the new tooth is made the Dentist will check the color match and fit. If all is well, he will remove the healing collar and attach you new permanent tooth. Expect 9 months, at least, from start to finish. Hope this helps.

    • @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  3 місяці тому +1

      The thing that was different about this situation is that I didn't have any teeth pulled. I had two Bridges on my front teeth, so a set of three teeth on either side and the middle tooth on each Bridge is missing. I was actually missing those adult teeth and so those spots have been empty for a while. They basically just cut that part of the Bridges out on both sides to do the implants. So, I was told 12 weeks from the time of surgery and then the dentist would take care of the rest. The real issue was that the periodontist office didn't set up the proper appointment with my dentist because they needed a lot more time than they scheduled and so now, of course, the dentist is all booked out for several weeks and I'm just on a cancellation list for whenever they can squeeze me in. Lesson learned. I will be making my own appointments from now on and not trust that the two offices have communicated everything properly. But, I have to remind myself, there are way worse things than having to wait a few extra weeks for a dental procedure.😊

The one thing I know for sure about hoarder disorder is that I am so thankful I don't have it and have known no one who does. It truly takes away one's life one item at the time. 😢 Bravo 👏 to you all ❤

    • @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  3 місяці тому +1

      That's very optimistic of you to think trailer loads left this house. 😂The actual truth is that she was able to sell a lot this last weekend and take some to the thrift store, but most of the rest is still in piles being gone through by her to decide what else to sell. I'm hoping that, as time goes on and the inspection date nears, that she will be willing to part with a lot more stuff. And I understand her wanting to try to sell it first, but I think we are going to get it to a point that she is just going to have to donate it because it is way too much work and way too slow of a process to try to sell it all. I'm trying to be patient and do it her way, but I think reality is going to set in here soon. After this week, I will actually be done until May, so it will be interesting to see what she is able to do in between that time.

I would absolutely love to help someone who has had a hoarder relative pass away and just needs help clearing out the house. That would be a dream to be able to organize things and get rid of stuff knowing that no one has any attachment to it. It is really bizarre how attached we get to our things.

    Another great job! Thank you for helping these people with getting their home back in order. Love to see your mom working with you. For future reference, you can put those blinds into the bathtub and clean them good with a scrub brush. Those weren't the inexpensive plastic ones, they were metal. Even the plastic ones can be cleaned up in the tub as well. I hate to see any more than necessary going into the overcrowded landfills. But, seems the homeowner was fine with discarding them. I only do blinds because I've always had cats and they can't climb blinds as easy. lol A tip for cleaning the mold from those window crevices, take a big scrub brush and pour or spray vinegar onto the brush. Hold it over a towel or you'll have a mess. Then just scrub those crevises good. May need to wash off the brush several times and repeat process as needed. I love a big old scrub brush for things like that. And as far as putting those racks into the scrub to clean them, great idea! THe tub is my go to for cleaning everything that won;t fit in the kitchen sink. lol Sink first if it fits, it will save your back. But, I soak and clean everything in the tub. Plus the tub gets a free soak at the same time. haha.

      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  3 місяці тому

      I thought about taking them down and cleaning them off in the tub, but I also knew that she had so many beautiful curtains and I loved the windows she had behind the curtains where they had rectangles on the windows and they are actually really beautiful showing through those sheer curtains. Blinds are great for keeping out the sun, but they can be really unattractive. Also, with the amount of time we were spending there, I felt like it would have taken up a lot of time to clean those blinds properly when we had so many other things still left to do. But I also don't like being wasteful. I try to save things where I can.😊
