We have been in this house 17 years. I clean the garage about every six months or so. Well, 3 weeks ago I got in there and I got rid of everything, I had my car full of donations, my curb was full of extra carpet from 10 yrs ago, a big rug and just crap. I took everything off every shelve and took shelves outside and cleaned those. Swept under where the shelves were and swept the walls. I know what your back feels like now after all that. It took me 3 days. ❤❤❤

I am an adult living with my parents still, so is my sister, because it's just not affordable for all four of us to not. In any case, my parents both have hoarders tendencies in that they keep objects, but not so much garbage. Anywho, sister and I recently took a week off work together and spent it cleaning a room every day. Might sound like a shitty vacation but it was nice not thinking about work and just getting stuff done for an entire week. Anywho, one of the things my mom hoards is plastic containers from takeout. It certainly doesn't look as nice because it takes up more room, but practically speaking it works out better for our family.

Watch Dana K White and use the container concept to be the bad guy… say we only have this cupboard for Tupperware so what fits can be kept. Everything else goes. When she wants to add another, you say ok you can put that in, but what shall we throw out to make room?
Mac, and Jason, seeing you guys in these videos always brighten my days. Since watching you grow and hear Mac's talk I've even been able to help my own habits cleaning as I'm on the spectrum and ADHD and it's always been hard for me. Thanks for all your hard work and I wish for nothing but the most success with the channel so you can help even more people.
You can vent that dryer into a bucket of water. Add a section of large hose to the vent. 5 gallon bucket and lid. Cut a hole into the lid. Put the hose into the hole.
During covid when we couldn't find hand sanitizer or alcohol, someone suggested going to an auto paint place. I went there and got a gallon that was almost pure, so I just had to water it down a little bit to get to 70%. It was so much cheaper!
Somehow I found your channel a few weeks ago and can only thank you for your heart of gold. Your compassion in understanding and helping people is inspiring! As for me, my sewing room is one of those "where to start" rooms. Also I get easily distracted and squirrels are always vying for my attention. Other parts of my house are cleaner than usual thanks to APC. Keep up the good work, you're amazing.
I only found your channel about a month ago. And I am addicted to watching them all! You are exactly what I need for moving. I am Handicapped with progressive MS, and I have a caregiver 4days/wk. But I will be moving from my 1244 sq ft Home to a 420 SQ FT Senior apt when my name comes up on a waitlist. My name Just jumped up A bunch, so I am all of a sudden scared that it will happen in a year or less. My caregiver works so hard, taking care of me, dishes, laundry, etc., but there is never time to start going through things/packing. Every day I look around and say oh I just want to group X items, etc. I found an organizing svc but even senior rate is $55/hr. So I think I watch your videos dreaming of a team like you and your son would whip it out In no time and with such common sense of grouping items. I used to be such an organizer! Love your videos. BTW, know of anyone in Half Moon Bay, CA?
As an assemblage artist, I know how constant my organisation of my supplies is to me and my work. Even with a limited space I find, out of sight, out of mind. Ty as always for allowing others to feel the joy (even for a moment lol) knowing what they already have. God bless you and amen. 🇬🇧
My husband does this cool thing with our drier vent during the winter. He took a 5 gallon bucket and drilled about 5 2" holes around the edge of the lid and then one large hole in the center that the vent hose can fit in. He then puts about 3 to 4 inches of water in the bottom of the bucket. He attaches the vent hose and then puts the lid back on the bucket. It catches the lent but gives us free heat during the winter in our basement.
There is a neurological reason for that, and it's why I watch others doing anything it is that I want to motivate myself to do: it's called mirror neurons! We are all born with them, that's why kids unconsciously mirror/mimic what adults do. As far as I know we have a tendency to do this all through our lives. It's one way I put UA-cam to work for me, supporting my brain to do what I want.
I have! It started a couple years ago when I began watching a channel run by a woman who owned a professional cleaning company, then I started watching Auri and MMC. I also watch professional home carpet and floor cleaners. I need a regular stream of cleaning content to keep me motivated, fight against my ADHD mess, my chronic illness, and ever-present desire to lay down 😅
Random comment here....your sped up video cleaning up the kitchen makes your foot steps sound like my kitten running around my house in the wee hours! The pitter patter is just killing me! 🤣
As a Taoist I can clearly see benefits to OCD watching y’all clean. It’s just so lovely and thriving when something as truly debilitating to many is in alignment with someone’s values and goals. That’s how come that stove came out so squeaky clean, I imagine. I believe OCD is a spectrum disorder, and we all should have optimal amounts to function, just like anxiety or depression. After all, it was the depressed folks in Ireland who planted all them potatoes ahead of a famine. I’m sure anxiety and OCD played parts too. I have come to embrace and manage my anxiety, and hearing about “optimal amounts” really helped me accept that my level prevents me from risky behaviours, like bungee jumping. God bless and amen. 😂💪🏼🙌🏼🇬🇧
I decided to watch your spin kick this house into a super clean moose house, early. lol! I know she couldn’t wait to come back to a gorgeous home with spring around the corner. Your intricate design with how you manage all your clients houses with just the right color (windows, etc) is so refreshing to me! Jason, btw, is getting super good with declutterring or organizing. Way to go y’all and see ya in the next video! 😊
I am SO glad I clicked on this video. That corner riser shelf in the kitchen (25:13) for the flour/sugar canisters ... I live for that stuff. A friend asked me "why do you like things on risers & not just on the counter?" Well, first I dont' have much counter. Second it's practical. Third it's way cool.
I love watching your videos because every time I do, it encourages me to tackle one more spot in my house. This video encouraged me to deep clean the kitchen sink and under the sink and get everything organized under there.
There is nothing like waking up at 3 in the morning, clicking on your video and laughing hysterically at your strange but effective humor. Sigh. Love it. I mean who doesn't need a good laugh at 3 a.m.? I was inspired to clean my kitchen tomorrow.
You are a blessing to all the people you help. Also thank you for all your advice. There is something so relaxing about taking a break and watching you guys make order from chaos. When you do the filming in real time it always throws me because I’ve become so used to the speed ups!

Recently stumbled across your vlogs and I have to say a huge thank you. I have now watched many video's and subscribed. I have been very depressed, I lost my Mom to cancer, my Dad to Dementia and had previously lost my daughter to depression. I use to love cleaning and organizing with my ocd I organize....lol. After my Dad passing I just gave up but watching your passion also for cleaning I have started again and the sense of pleasure and accomplishment has returned plus I tried your APC recipe and love the results. Thank you very much again, I am now once again in a clean and sanitary home. 😊

What you did for their stove top is amazing! I never thought of using oven cleaner on the outside. I don't need to, but I never thought of it. Wow. I bet she was thrilled!

I love that you guys are so systematic. It makes watching these videos so freaking satisfying! Thanks for helping these people who struggle with organization.
I guess because the garage walls are finished, when the video first started I thought you were in a living room and when you said this isn’t a hoarding issue I said (out loud) “Not a hoarding issue?!?! There’s a motorcycle in the living room!!!!”. I was way confused. Love your videos!!!!!❤❤❤
Ohhh I want to try film myself and make a video just for me of cleaning my entire house. You have given me inspiration. My Daughter is coming home for a visit after 5 years of being away. And she's bringing home my toddler Grandchildren. They are staying in my house and my Dad is too old to really do everyday cleaning so I really need to do major cleaning especially since we have pets in our home too. Your humor adds a smile to my day. Thank you.
This was so helpful for this family. They can now have a nice visit with their daughter and not have to wear themselves out beforehand. It is so nice that you might come back and help with landscaping. I like when you do something extra because you know how and it helps the people so much.. Such as in the home with soot... you painted, repaired walls and fixed some plumbing. That was awesome. Good for Jason to learn from you. I didn't have patience to learn from my parents when I had the opportunity.
The kitchen cabinets remind me of my mom's. The same plain birch cabinets and the hardware matches hers. Though mom's is copper vs black. Always liked the hardware. Nice cleanup. Great motivation to get up and deal with my own clutter
This was a great video! It’s always a pleasure to watch you, Jason and your daughter, restore order and cleanliness from chaos! I love your moderation and occasional silliness! Thank you
I've had two Bona mops in the past and both broke in the first couple of years. I now have a Swiffer mop I've had for twice as long as I had either Bona. I don't use the disposable pads on it, I use the Bona reusable ones. They hang over the edges because they are longer, but they still do a fabulous job. I've also figured out how to get the Swiffer mop solution bottles open so I can reuse them with my own floor cleaner.
Ive been tackling an overwhelming adhd moose herd in my apt bc I have company coming to stay over soon, and having these videos on in the background is the only thing that has kept me on track
I cant get over just how much 'stuff' people have😮 Im not a minimalist, i onlyhave that which i use, and it seems so much less than these good folk. Much love ❤❤❤ for all you do x
Such a great organizing video!! You made a usable garage! I am in love with my SOS pads. They get the crud off. Your scrapping and cleaning methods are fantastic! I also love that when you are done the people can find all of there stuff, and it is all organized. It bugs me when someone "cleans" and really just throws everything away. That is a cop out. Then the people have to get new stuff and it is not organized. If they can keep it like you do it, it will stay, and you have really helped them! Have a great week!
What a kind service to do. What a relief for that woman to have a kitchen cleaned for her daughters visit. She must have been so grateful...I certainly would have been.
And that little sitting space area he created 😊 I always like to imagine how happy the face of the homeowner is too. I can just imagine the joy that'll last a few days too. 😊❤
Hey there... I've been watching your "Working with Autism" video after I watched this one. I cried thru a lot of it because you put a voice to so many thoughts and feelings I have and about how I function. It's the first time I've ever heard my own words vocalized in a way that might help others understand me. This means so much... Just to be understood. Thank you for being who you are. I'm not religious, but just know that you and your family are a blessing to this world.
I like how you equate hoarding and clutter to possible neurological conditions. I know you are not trained in psychology but us neurodiverse types tend to recognise these traits in others. I am (undiagnosed) but quite obviously autistic and I've come to believe that I might possibly have OCD too. I can notice a direct link between my mental health and the condition of my home. When I am ignoring my problems/ worries, the clutter builds. Then when I start to sort through the physical mess I simultaneously sort through the mess that ia my mind! I am currently in a sorting stage after 2-3 months of apathy and avoidance. You do amazing work!

I like how the traffic sounds like formula 1 racecars when they speed up the video. 😂
same 😂
I also like how sometimes it sounds like they're the ones making the noise
She trusts you for your faces, your names and your stellar reputations. Well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼👍🏼🇬🇧
Since I've been watching your channel I've been doing more deep cleaning of my own around home.
Just wondering how many others have been motivated?
Probably lots!! Me included. Love this channel ❤
@@Wayfarer889thank you, that’s really interesting.
I have! It started a couple years ago when I began watching a channel run by a woman who owned a professional cleaning company, then I started watching Auri and MMC. I also watch professional home carpet and floor cleaners. I need a regular stream of cleaning content to keep me motivated, fight against my ADHD mess, my chronic illness, and ever-present desire to lay down 😅
*raises hand* me! Have already gone through my first batch of APC!
GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNIN! 🤣 Mack You moved the motorcycle well. You looked good on that beast!
Not gonna lie. Was really waiting for him to just start it up and roar outta there😂
Love how u two work together
Random comment here....your sped up video cleaning up the kitchen makes your foot steps sound like my kitten running around my house in the wee hours! The pitter patter is just killing me! 🤣
Something about this house is making me feel so nostalgic. It's super cozy. I grew up in The Midwest in the 80's.
Me too
As a Taoist I can clearly see benefits to OCD watching y’all clean.
This garage is SO nicely finished. And, now with better use capacity. You all did awesome work!
I love watching your videos because every time I do, it encourages me to tackle one more spot in my house. This video encouraged me to deep clean the kitchen sink and under the sink and get everything organized under there.
SAME!
There is nothing like waking up at 3 in the morning, clicking on your video and laughing hysterically at your strange but effective humor. Sigh. Love it. I mean who doesn't need a good laugh at 3 a.m.? I was inspired to clean my kitchen tomorrow.
Who else watches these as their cleaning motivation/ therapy? All hands raise.
I do, Motivation and Inspiration!❤
Omg. I’m loving that work bench. Has been properly worked. And can be again after y’all are through. God bless and amen. 💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇬🇧
This is a beautiful old house. I love the vintage blue sink and bathtub 🛁. You did a great job with the garage too
It's great that not only you help them by cleaning but organizing in a way that makes sense to be very useful for anyone. 😊
You are a blessing to all the people you help. Also thank you for all your advice.
There is something so relaxing about taking a break and watching you guys make order from chaos.
When you do the filming in real time it always throws me because I’ve become so used to the speed ups!
You are a powerhouse!!! And you are so funny too!! Thank you BOTH for the hard work you do….and for free!!….you are what’s good in the world!!!
I love to see your videos helping folks. Al Blades videos are him helping folks with bad yards. Dumpster diving momma of 2 videos are het helping multiple refuges and mental health facilities. So many UA-camrs doing stuff for free to help others. Its wonderful and does my heart good to watch xx
Another great job you guys! I bet this lady is beyond grateful!,
Recently stumbled across your vlogs and I have to say a huge thank you. 😊
You and your son are amazing. Thanks for doing this and helping others. ❤️
I’m sure you get thanked all the time. but wow, I did want to thank you if there was only more people like you in this world. I about cry after each video. I used to be such a neat freak and it irritated everybody, but no longer and I can’t seem to get myself out of it and I just look around and I can’t do it.. just knowing there are people around in this world like you it’s pretty awesome.
I love not only the comedic commentary of course, but the tips on cleaning and organizing as you go. Also the information and tips on the mental space and even mental health. Thank you for this and your compassion.
What you did for their stove top is amazing! I never thought of using oven cleaner on the outside. I don't need to, but I never thought of it. Wow. I bet she was thrilled!
love your channel....thank you for taking time to do this and for blessing others. love you integrity too!
I am here for the commentary. He cracks me up. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!
You are the king of clean up -rock on and on!
Wow you have lots of patience n kindness. Stove is as good as new.
Excellent cleaning/organizing video! Worth the wait 👏
My moose Bullwinkle got a big kick out of your moose reference! He even did his moose laugh. People come from miles away just to hear his moose laugh. Great job, guys! 🫎
Steel wool comes from metal sheep, ahhh life is finally starting to make sense....😂😂
And I love Adrienne’s new moose and green beans designs!! She’s talented. ❤️
The kitchen cabinets remind me of my mom's. The same plain birch cabinets and the hardware matches hers. Though mom's is copper vs black. Always liked the hardware. Nice cleanup. Great motivation to get up and deal with my own clutter
The narration in these vids are top tier 🤌🤌🤌
If your grand baby's first words are "moose face", your DIL just might throttle you. 🤣🤣🤣
What if baby's first words are "suck it"? 😂😂😂😂
I see you bought yourself some better fitting pants. Better scenery!
Is there any way to clean a really burned on glass cooktop?
Great job as always! God bless for helping this homeowner ❤❤
This was a great video! It’s always a pleasure to watch you, Jason and your daughter, restore order and cleanliness from chaos! I love your moderation and occasional silliness! Thank you
Hello you two are miracle workers you left that family a new home and a bew stove I learn so much from you!!
Awesome job!! Great to see you back doing your thing!!🎉❤🎉
Your cabinets shine like the smile of the moose 🫎! Love ❤️ your work!
Those cabinets cleaned and shined really well. Love to watch you two clean.
What a pretty blue sink! Her house looks so cozy and inviting now! ❤
Those cabinets are shining! It must have been a great feeling for the owner to see this transformation before having her visit.
Your Daughter is very talented. 😊
You and Jason do a good job I love the job you did on the stove! Keep up the good work
I cant get over just how much 'stuff' people have😮 Im not a minimalist, i onlyhave that which i use, and it seems so much less than these good folk. Much love ❤❤❤ for all you do x
I use angled crevice brushes for a lot of my cleaning. They easily get into those stove ridges and corners.
Oh Wow! Thank you for your explanation, and respect for the people You help! Thank You Johnny& Jason! Shout out to Adrianne, Emily& Daniel 👏👏💙💜❤️
Oh I can feel the JOY she will have having a space for her CAR! 🙌🏼😁🇬🇧
And that little sitting space area he created 😊 I always like to imagine how happy the face of the homeowner is too. I can just imagine the joy that'll last a few days too. 😊❤
You are such a hoot. I love watching your videos. All those comments are the best!! Thank you. 😊
The more I watch your videos the more I recognize how much we think a like when organizing.
8:53 And I can see a car just itching to be garaged. God bless you again. So satisfying virtually. As per usual. 💪🏼🙌🏼🇬🇧
Your daughter is a very talented artist. Happy you have her on your team. Loving the expiration date on them green beans. 💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🇬🇧
Fabulous job! Now, if only they’d clear the clutter from the front of the refrigerator - it makes me so anxious, LOL.
“Steel wool comes from metal sheep”. FINALLY,a sensible explanation!
You are a wonderful human being, and renewed my hope in humanity. Bless you for the hard work you do!!!
