TIP: if possible take photos of everything you have, that way you have an inventory to check, or when you are with a client to check and see if you have an item or if the spefic one you have will work, will save you alot of travelling to the unit all the time 🎉 cant wait to see what you have planned.
You did a great job! 👍 But! I think there’s only one useful thing - your photos. As for me, better to sell each item of your storage and the shelves you built and stop paying for the storage unit of course. I found all the items absolutely useless. I don’t buy and use things like this. Like in the shop for only one house, not mine. 🎈
I was actually surprised to see this video pop up. I didn't think you would have a storage unit, lol. Your home seems sizeable enough to keep there.

3 of us live in a 2BR apartment. We are 77, 74, and 47. I toss, recycle, donate, or sell at least 20 items each day. I go drawer by drawer, shelf by shelf, room by
room around our place. I'm trying to keep the top shelves empty because climbing is difficult. Tina, Al's wife
Amanda consider taking pics of each shelf so u can have them handy if u need an item. Gr8 job! ❤❤

Awesome work! Maybe get some vacuum bags for the pillows/bedding. Keeps them cleaner and takes up less space ❤

Wow what a difference… just an idea for your cloth items(pillows, blankets) you can use a vacuum seal bag and just take a picture of what is in it and put on the outside… they are lifesavers and it protects from dust etc♥️ cannot wait to see the first room rescue 🙌🏻
I've watched your videos forever, & I've watched your boys grow up, and yet seeing/hearing Luke be so grown is blowing my mind! (Slow down, time!)

Amanda, just a thought but perhaps take a photo of each of your shelves so you can see at a glance what you have or perhaps it is worth taking a pic of each item and making an inventory and you can add as you get more items and subtract as you use or get rid of them. You could do the same for paint that you have and stuff like that.

Hello Amanda, it's amazing how some shelves help to get things neat and tidy.
In a storage unit always keep things in plastic tight containers. Cardboard can be nibbled by different insects and small animals. I would never leave any clothes or textile out, it gets dust and who knows if pee and poop. I wouldn't be able to use those cushions or any rug. I would keep memorabilia home to take a look at it from time to time. If I keep something I want to enjoy it. Although having a unit for seasonal decoration, specially Xmas things is a great idea.
Maybe you could make inventory of your deco things so that you don't buy double, with pictures to know exactly what prints you have, for example.

As for the Fall and Christmas Decorations, whatever you don't want, you can add to the add you are posting so if someone wants their porch or indoors decorated with those items, they can say so and you will do those homes when the time comes.

I still have quite a bit of my farmhouse and some mission style, but I am really loving mid century modern, so it may be time to switch things up.

I don't know how you do it all, a family of 5 plus all the other responsibilities. I'm very proud of you & your husband for knowing how to handle such a busy life. Massive project that I am just starting! My basement that holds 39 years of my stuff, and both my husband and I’s parents items. So, so overwhelming both the physical amount and the emotional baggage that goes along with it all.

Our huge project to organize is the garage. My logic is that I am saving the garage for last as I declutter the inside of the house room by room and donate items along the way. It's definitely a process. Your storage room looks so much better! I can see it being a useful space for future room rescue projects.

As soon as I get the cabinets installed in my living room, I want to declutter it. This will lead to decluttering another room that is holding items for the living room.
We also have a ton of stuff in our basement. A lot doesn't even belong to us. I'd love to get it declutter and cleaned up.

My house if farmhouse style. Some stuff is definite farmhouse decor but then a lot of it could be used in lots of styles.

The town I live in has a community wide rummage twice a year and my daughter and I have sold so much of our farmhouse decor. In fact we are known for our farmhouse items and have so many repeat customers every year. I’d recommend a rummage sale and make some money to help with your new endeavor! I’ve pretty much cleared out my farmhouse but still kept some items that are cottage style which I prefer now.

Hey Amanda, I love seeing your videos all the time! I couldn't get over the before and after photos of the storage unit. I can't believe that you decluttered and organized it in a day. I bet that you were happy that your family helped you get it decluttered in a day so it's not a lot of work to do in a few days or whatever. ❤❤❤
The boys did a great job helping. I’ve been in a decluttering mode for the past six months. I’m currently working on my closet and have sent six bags filled to the hills to ThredUp, and a few bags to our local charity store. I have an eclectic style with a bit of modern farmhouse thrown in.

The Bain of our existence is our garage. It’s disaster we just keep shoving everything out there and now it’s so hot here 😮 your video has inspired me to go out in the garage this weekend and start! Oh, how, I wished I lived close to you so I could do your room rescue. Im so excited to watch them. My house is more cottage than farmhouse now. Luke has gotten so tall he really is a lot of help. A great idea is to take photos of all the shelves to be able to physically see what you have on hand so when you are out thrifting/shopping, you can quickly scan through your picture inventory to see if you already have something. ~Chris

I turned on your video to keep me company while I am cleaning out my travel trailer. We lived in it for 5 months while we were building our home a few years ago and haven’t revisited using it for regular camping since lol! We found mouse droppings too….ugh…

Great to see this was a family effort to get it done and now you have a functioning storage unit that will be useful for your amazing Room Rescue series, to store your personal extras and a place to store finds that would work for future projects. While watching this video I was going through 2 large closets. I've been on a weight loss journey like yourself for quite some time and dropped a good amount of weight so far where I had to do a closet cleanout. I have a huge pile that will go on consignment and another pile to donate. Felt great to maje room for new clothes I've purchased, some from your LTK 😊 Thanks for the motivation and inspo. You can take photos of the shelves and have an album on your cell phone of all inventory, this way you don't buy duplicate items and it's more practical to know if you have the item or not when you need something. Lots of love😊❤
