A big thing people fail to realize is this doesn’t have to be your only carry, it can be an extra addition to your edc
That's what I'm thinking I normally pocket carry my carry firearm and this would be a great option for while I'm driving do you have immediate access
when you start to conceal carry you realize how important comfort is too. this is a pretty cool gun
It's not a phone, but it can reach out and touch someone.
Well said!
Love it 😂

Very clever design and useful in emergency situations. The bullet that kills is the one they don’t see coming. Obviously this is not intended for shootouts at ok corral.
A deterrent with bite
This is to be held in hand when you have a bad feeling! You might not need to use it because you will have the drop on the perp. But if you have to shoot, you better damn right make sure each round counts!
Bullets that you see coming, kill as well
Merica
but in an emergency, you dont want to fumble around deploying it. plus the fact that it doesn't look like a gun from the get go is not a very good deterrent in stopping an assailant if he cant identify that you are armed.
what this is good for is criminals and people illegaly concealing a weapon for god know what reason.
all in all i cant understand in which real world situation this is a good and practical thing apart for the made up social media world to generate likes and revenu from gun fanatics.
the fact that some cannot see why this thing is a bad idea is the problem as these owners are ill fitted to cary a weapon since they're judgment is impaired.
A contraption that even 007 would carry today with pride!
With that thing no one know what they in for
They already have a gun made like an ink pen
yea right, a gimmicky piece of shit. Are you serious?
Conceal carry for me goes as far as let the gun print, because a thug won't see it but will be able to see the printing and it'll be obvious that you've means to defend yourself, that contraption will not protect you because you'll be attacked and at that moment half of the battle is lost...
Nice gun i wish i have one.
I like it just because it is open carry without the intimidation that normal guns have.
Really good idea. A country that has an appalling record of firearm violations and an issue with excessive complaints for police use of firearms this is exactly what America needs.
There are thousands of us who carry and don't violate gun laws. More of us than violators. But we should all quit legally carrying even though that means criminals will still have guns on them. Now that's an impeccable idea.
Most rhieves/robbers target cellphones. What then?
@@danielji2742 They add another gun to their already illegally acquired gun cache. Unlike what lawful citizens do. But gun owners are not often messed with, for good reason. Much like you wouldn't approach a gang member with a gun, for good reason.
Couple of practical observations. I retired from LE after 38 years. 19 years on the street. During my Street time, mostly 3rd shift I carried 3 firearms....if this had been available it would have been FOUR. I still carry 2 when ever possible...both concealed...but Im thinking of beach or pool clothing....Oh Yes, I would include this....shorts doing yard work, walking around town...yep. Thanks Sootch !

You must be tall and large🤤
@@SureYoureRight hahaha just a Lil bit😉😘💯
I keep my gun in my false leg. 😘
Actually I thought this was kinda cool first time I saw it. But after seeing the price its NOT that cool! First off it doesnt look that much like a cell phone unless you consider anything black, plastic and flat cell phone looking. Plus if after you take it out of the holster or pocket or purse,, you have to hand open it or flip it open just to get it ready to use,,, it's useless! By time you get it out, use your support hand hand to open it or do a flipping motion, then aquire your target,, you're probably already dead. Or you can stall your attacker by saying,,, excuse me,,, I've got to take this call,,, and soon as your attacker sees the phone gun and you flipping it open,, maybe theyll fall over laughing?! Not to mention only four bullets?? Yea sounds like a dependable carry gun to me🙄! All for the low low bargain price of over $500.00. I carry in my ccw rotation a tiny.380 with 7 self defense rounds which I'm sure this cell phone thing couldnt handle without blowing up in your hand, and my .380 is no bigger than this thing, very deep concealment that you dont have toi flip open, just draw point shoot, and its $200.00 Less backed by a legitimate gun manufacturer warranty. This flat plastic square is just a novelty for those that have $550.00 to throw away rather than buying a real gun for same price, and I would Never trust my life on this thing under Any Condition!
.
Imagine that had an ejector function where once you flipped it open the shells ejected and you were able to quick load. I think an ejection function like that would have been very handy.
Just a reminder, all the really great “stuff” used to be “made in America”, this is another good example. I can’t wait for the watch version.
I remember back in the eighties when beepers were common. Someone actually did bring to market a fake pager that enclosed a North American Arms mini revolver inside it. It had two tiny sliding levers on it on opposite sides; one cocked the gun and the other fired it.
It was demonstrated to my police academy class and I had seen mention of it in a gun magazine, but I never did see one again.
Of course it's a novelty item but I could see some practical application.
Whipping out a gun on someone's obviously a massive escalation.
Whereas with that you can have it out in 'phone mode' and just look as if you're going to call the cops of something.
Now the cops have a reason to shoot you for having your phone in your hand........ Awesome
Then get shot for “calling” the cops.
@@magicjohnson3121 Well was just spit-balling here...
As I said there's plenty of times whipping out a handgun might escalate the situation, that wasn't necessarily going to result in a physical confrontation.
You pay your money you take your choice.
I'm sure we've all been in situations where someone just wants to rant and rave...
@@Ryan.90 the only reason for anyone to whip out any gun is for self defense.

Being the son of an engineer who was also a gunsmith. And watching his invention and design trade craft, I could further develop this concept into an internal magazine semi auto. Challenge accepted.
Let us know when it’s done 😮✅
being the son of an engineer and machinist doesnt make you a machinist or an engineer.
@airgunningyup You obviously didn't grow up with a father.... who shared his craft and knowledge with all of his kids.
If they had cell phones in the old west I could totally see Agent James West carrying one of these in the TV show "the wild wild west"
how much this kind of gun phone ??
Impressive especially if they develop a spring loaded ejection system.A very safe weapon especially the Trigger and operating Pressure.
Nice little choice! Probably the only way so the Walmart staff won't ask you to conceal your handgun before entering... even if a concealed handgun is more "dangerous" than an open-carried one
I walk into places all the time that don't allow OC.or carry at all and no one seems to care. I guess the way I dress and that I'm a woman they don't think I would ever have a gun on me.
Even my Dr's overlook it..
I'll stick with my G19/G17 on my hip and a P365 in my pocket.
if you remember RoboCop 2, then actor Gabriel Damon had a submachine gun disguised to look like a radio. I think it was the UC-10, that had an antenna. that's what this concealment reminds me of. There's even a smartphone that is actually a stun gun.
"Give me your cell phone!"
"OK, just let me unlock it for you..."
It would be nice if the ejector was spring loaded. You could reload fairly quickly if the brass just jumped out. Cool concept.
I work security at our church and most of the time I have one of these in my hand. Everybody thinks it is a phone. They're a little safer and they don't even know it.

Carrying daily, there are just times and places you go you just gotta take your ccw off your belt and stick it in your glove box before you get out the car, and feel naked. This firearm might just be the answer to those times.
@@runningbear6391 Yeah if you can't deploy a gun in under 1 or 2 seconds, you'd better think about getting something else.
No Jude, I can't relate to that 99.3% of the time. It's called concealed for a reason
Leave gun in glove box? That just seems like you are asking for trouble.
@@runningbear6391 in public to the untrained eye it does
@@PointWithin But for over $500.00, only 4 shots, having to make an additional move to make the gun fire ready,,, flipping it open or using support hand to open it,,,, no readily available service for this thing except manufacturer who will probably be out of business soon anyhow. And its not a fun gun to take to the range plus probably doesnt have a long life history. And if you do use it from time to time, doesn't seem like a solid dependable gun you'd want to depend on for saving your life! For $500+ there are a LOT of tiny .380s or even .22lr miniature guns which are 110 percent more reliable, serviceable and wiser choices. Unless you have disposable cash and want a toy or a conversation piece to add to your James Bond collection.
I think this is great for offices or other locations where weapons aren't "permitted". I'd rather have something than nothing.
Excellent backup . it's so cool I could almost forget I had it. Kidding . Excellent idea .

I was going to say what a slow reload, but it’s not really designed for that, so yes, I think it’s a really usable close self defence firearm.

I’m getting a few boxes of Underwood .380 Xtreme Defender ammo in the mail today. They seem like a great choice for the caliber. Hopefully they’ll cycle in the Ruger LCP 2 as I haven’t had much luck with the cheap ball ammo I’ve put through it. The Ideal Conceal is really interesting
@@MidnightSvn I knew getting into the LCP 2 that there would probably be reliability problems. I saw that being said by more than a few reviewers until they found the right ammo. I’ve only put the cheapest brass through it so far just to see if I was lucky enough to get one that works well with the cheap stuff. Really highly doubt that I’m limp-wristing. I suspect that it will function as it should when I put the Underwood ammo through it, which would prove my hypothesis if so. It would be a first for me, if there’s a problem with limp-wristing. I can shoot the thing damn well when it works, too. I shoot all kinds of different handguns, including smaller ones, and haven’t yet had an issue with limp-wristing. This is definitely the smallest handgun I’ve shot but I don’t see where my fundamentals would change. Even when I shoot slightly larger handguns, they’re typically in 9mm, so the recoil would be more stout.

Appreciate the good review and I agree to each his own. That said IMO, this is strictly a novelty gun. No advantage over an LCP. OK so you can open carry it and maybe it wont be recognized as a gun. But why would I want to if I could pack a small pistol concealed and deploy it just as quick? As a back up? Again I'll take the small pistol. This is $500 worth of "cool" factor for those who want a show and tell item and have the money for that sort of thing. I'll take the Ruger and have money left for some ammo and maybe an extra mag.
Well we Agree on the same issues with this Bob! I just left a similar comment before even seeing yours, almost word for word. I carry a PT738 in my rotation, same difference as the LCP.
Some seriously strong & valid points. It IS super cool but you're right, a Ruger would be much better and cost effective.
"As a back up?"
In cases where wearing a full carry rig isn't practical. This won't print like a gun, and can easily and safely be carried in a pocket. If you never find yourself in these situations, then fair enough, the price isn't worth it... for you. But some people do, and this can be an option for them.

This is what you need for places that don't allow firearms. You're leaving the casino. Heading to your vehicle in the parking lot. Gives you a little peace of mind until you're in your vehicle with your normal EDC.
Any scenario like that, is what this firearm is meant for, in my opinion. It's definitely on my list.
Situation exactly like that is what I was thinking about for this gun. You're able to have some ability to fight back against an attacker in areas where it is really frowned upon for having a firearm that people may notice you have one. I'm not advocating breaking the law but sometimes you have to do certain things to ensure your safety and the safety of others around you.
@@bradslone8511 exactly my thoughts. I've been in this situation, at a show in Baltimore. Even though I had my carry permit, the place does not permit firearms, but I did have my 22lr, 2 shot Derringer, that may have saved me and my girlfriend that night. It kept me company until I could get us both into my vehicle, where my j frame 38spl was waiting in the glove box. This took place back in the late 80's or early 90's. Of course, today that might be a Glock 43X, 26, Sig 365 or my Walther PPS M2.

@@ragnarthefearless9235 more like everyone on the internet thinks they are comedians, that was a sad attempt at hilarity
Am there, doing that, got the monkey suit. The frustration is that as I have a concealed carry permit then it is not illegal for me to have a firearm on my person. But it is a violation of the contract terms I was hired under and thus could get me fired.
What really takes the cake in my opinion are those sites where they take their no weapons policy so seriously they have it enforced by unarmed guards. Like if I were to ask somebody who I spotted with a weapon to leave and they did so then they weren't going to be a problem anyway. And if they were going to be a problem I'd consider myself lucky if I only ended up bleeding a lot. If I called the police before I tried to make contact the quickest response time I could expect on a good day would be somewhere between 3 to 5 minutes. Which wouldn't be quick enough to do me any good in a bad situation, and could lead to somebody who just forgot they had a weapon on them getting a lot more seriously hassled than was necessary.
Now, as normal conversational distance is close enough the ubiquitous for security guards 3 D cell Mag lite or equivalent can help, it is far from a perfect solution. What I ended up deciding on to deal with potential problems was a Bond Arms Roughneck Derringer in .45 ACP. At $280 it is less than half the price and chambered for a more serious cartridge. The disadvantage is that anybody who was actually able to see it would instantly recognize it as a weapon.
So, given that I've already got the Derringer, if I had the money available would I get the Ideal Conceal? From my point of view that's debatable. One of the reasons I went for .45 ACP is that it's one of the calibers I have been concentrating on trying to get a minor stockpile for and thus have a reasonable amount on hand. If I were to get a weapon in .380 ACP then that's another round I'm going to have to try to stockpile. Also, I am reasonably certain that in a worst case scenario landing a hit with a .45 ACP is more likely to stop a fight than a hit with a 380 ACP.
But everybody's mileage varies. The fact that somebody could potentially catch you with the Ideal Conceal and not recognize what it was could be a deciding factor for some people. This is especially true in those benighted areas where getting a concealed carry permit is essentially impossible. In which case getting caught with a firearm not only gets you fired but also is a guaranteed felony bust. Thus the approximately $600 price for the Ideal Conceal could be well worth it.
Interesting, kind of a techno derringer. I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be with just 2 .380 shots, but it's a cool concept. Something like this more capacity would be useful.
2 shots are better than nothing. You can always run away 😃
2 well place holes 🕳️ can change an attackers mind in a flash
Mugger: "Give me your phone"
Victim: "OK, here it is - BLAM BLAM"
I'd love that if they could come out with a 6 shot
Be a size of a tablet lol
Yeah like a machine gun would be kick ass lol
Next level to make a real smart phone gun.😁
Had one - got rid of it! Grip really cuts into your hand!
In a tight situation, you wouldn’t want to forget what pocket it was in, and accidentally pull out your phone and yell freeze to the bad guys. 😅😅😅
I like it, but I am am happy with my Beretta Tomcat 32. I keep it in my front pocket with zero issues for concealment. 7 shots and super easy to reload. I'd even rather carry my S&W titanium 38 hammerless revolver over buying one of these. I think it is a cool idea, but I'd rather carry a real gun in a urban carry holster at my waist.
Just a little notice. A loaded firearm are. N E V E R (!!!) completely safe.
Never has been and never will be, but it is still cool AF 🙃
If no exposed hammer and the trigger is blocked from access, then how will it discharge
Honestly, make one in 45 colt/410, and I'd be on board. Might have to mess with the dimensions just a bit...
I agree small calibers in this just don't do it for me.
Isn't that what the Judge and Governor do?
@@thisismagacountry1318 Yeah. But they're not this concealable. I do own one though.
Just bought the Bonds Arms from Texan and 45-410
@xamot80 Don't need em anyway
This is really cool. I don't see it as practical though. Great review as always.
Its gonna stop a fight. Thats all that matters
@@throatpunch4789 Is it? Having only two rounds under stress, it's easier to miss than you think.
@@throatpunch4789 what fight? A gun fight? Good luck. Unless someone is charging at You with a weapon you dont have cause to pull out and shoot. And if it gets to that point 2 rounds of .380 is ehhhhhh
It's just going to get you a ton of time in jail for having it on you. Party bonus!
Wonder what the size comparison is between this and a beretta tomcat?🤔
Well...it's definitely thinner than the Tomcat.
If you have one of those grandpa waist band cell phone carriers it would be perfect to bring places that don't allow you to carry. Leave the main one in the car and put the "cell phone' on your belt and they will never suspect a thing. I hate going to the casino without my weapon
This is probably the only gun I would open carry.
Once LE and security people are made aware of it and know to look out for it I don't think it's going to have any advantage over an LCP or Mini-revolver in your pocket. It's more of a novelty than anything.
well, if you're a legal carrier, law enforcement probably won't care or call you out on it (at least not in any way that would impede you from carying). If you're in a situation when you would need to use it, it would be a good way to catch a hostile person/attacker off guard, because very few people would expect to be staring down the barrel of a fucking cell phone...in theory, at least.
If it gets to a point where you need to hide your firearm from security and law enforcement checks, you've probably got bigger issues my dude. That's not the sort of tyranny where a concealed pistol is gonna change much.
@@Etherman7 : Liberator in 45 ACP politely disagrees with you.
Talks on "phone" "Hold on man I gotta shoot somebody" but all jokes aside make those two rounds count.
when your life is at stake you want something that has more bullets.
most of the time people are not expecting resistance, so it make the job
It does look like a cell phone. I had mine when someone broke in one night and I went to shoot him and accidentally called my grandma. She answered so I grabbed the gun while I was trying to hang up and got mixed up and shot my hoop earring off. Solid gun
Best phone for school.
