I can't believe today 10 years is old on a TV today. I honestly remember having the same TV and it was a Hitachi floor model since I was a kid 70s 80s till 90s.
I can remember the ITN News at 5.45 with Leonard Parkin that must have been the early 1980's. Alastair Burnet on News at Ten. Growing up in the 80's I don't remember watching a huge amount of TV back then as I'd either be outside after school (weather permitting) or playing with toys or on my computer which I guess is technically watching the TV. I think it's when we got Sky TV around 1989 I started watching more often.
Glad u did the engineer reset as my samsung 2015 was showing the EDID as failure, turned it on now shows success and the mac and wirless mac are now successful. where before they were just blank, thank you
We are from all around the world and probably would be interested in some Cornish accent ? and ancient Briton / Breton language ? Good video. 4K ??? Screen Resolution was 2K ? wasn't it ? Beautiful old Samsung, when they built with quality.
This little piggy went to market, This little piggy stayed home, This little piggy had roast beef, This little piggy had none. This little piggy went ... Wee, wee, wee, all the way home!
TV manufacturers have got no right to fit blue LEDs with a white phosphor coating that they know is going to burn off over time. On this basis if I had a TV whose LEDs turned blue I would sue the manufacturer for supplying me with goods that are not fit for purpose. At the end of the day blue LEDs = built-in obsolescence.
Love the long videos thanks Allen really enjoyed it 😊

Like you said it must have been a very well-used TV on all the time to be like that.
I used to have 48JU7500. Curved + 3D... now I'm on LG OLED. JU didn't had QD layer. The only TV from the J series with QD were JS... JS8500...
Pair of tweezers or small set of long nose pliers would have got those backlights out easier and 1 handed
Another of Samsung's better TV's saved from the recycling.
And without doing a High Peak overspend, Matt would be proud
of you Allen.
I was hoping for a topical demo using "Michael Fish" and his infamous weather presentation. Failing that, Wincey Willis
i enjoy long videos please do more
Do the strips from the right hand side lock onto the knobs on the left hand side just to compare slot sizes
Good question. I’m doing another one of these next week so will check.

Enjoy your roast beef. My mother made the best roast beef and gravy. Unfortunately her secrets and recipe were lost when she passed away.
Okay, we can hear the rain. Are we gonna have enough rain for the summer next year?
I like cars
You forgot Gordon Honeycombe!
