Hey Kurt, it's Vince, I will ask my question here instead of by messenger because I'm pretty sure it will help lots of people. I'm experiencing issues with the drying. My cards curl. So here is my comprehension of the process and questions :
1) If the card is barely wet (semi-soak) : you suggest to make "manual" wind in alternate sides with a pad, isn't it?
2) if the card is completely wet (complete soak) : you suggest to flip the pads every 30min-1h. I did it. For the first couple of hours, it went well but if I have to go away and come back 4-5-6-10 hours after, the card curls. So my question is : how long do we have to plan to be there to "flip the burger" when we begin the drying process to make sure the final product will be awesome?
3) I did try to begin drying with flipping pads and to finish with the manual wind but the card curled and I wasn't able to uncurl it.
4) I did try to humidify a curled card and rebegin the drying process but at the end, the card curled too (but I wasn't there for a long period of time to make sure to flip every hour for 12 hours).
5) I did try to put a curled card in the humidor at +/- 75% and thought the card will get out flat and humid and the card is still curl after 10 hours. (???)
6) Is it a good idea to put a curled card in a penny sleeve between 2 plexiglass for a while?
Thanks for your help, maybe you might respond with a video that will help many people resolving these kinds of issue. If you already have a video that I did not see (and I made research about it), just tell me the name of the video.

Hey Vince, drying a card does take time and you have to get the moisture out of the card so it won’t curl. You have to keep the card between the drying mats until it feels 100% dry. That can be several days 3-4. Once the card feels dry you’ll take it out of the mats and put it into a penny sleeve and into a semi rigid or a top loader. Let it sit for several more days don’t touch it. If you take it out and let it sit on your desk for a while, it’s going to curl. It does take time to totally dry based on the type of card and the atmosphere you live in. Don’t dry it for a couple days then let it sit on your desk without a case. It will always curl at that stage . You have to keep it flat and retained until it’s 100% dry. I hope this helps.

@@vincentbeaulieu-demerscpac6469 nope, you wouldn’t need to do it that much. You just have to change the pads every couple hours for the first 2 days. Then it will be close to dry because you’ve pulled a lot of moisture out. Then you just have to harness your patience and let it sit for a couple more days before you move it to a sleeve and case. It takes a while, but it’s worth it.

Would it be a good idea for this type of card, to let it sit to dry in a humidor for even better results?
You can definitely do that, but you will have to flip it over to the pads because once it gets too almost dry, it will start to curl a little bit
Are you sending this off for grading? I've got a roached out '55 Koufax that I'm debating on trying to bring back to life with your kit. I've been watching your videos for the past year but I'm apprehensive on doing it myself. You make it look so easy. I really enjoy your work. 👍
I would encourage you to jump in and get busy. Buy some base cards don’t work on anything valuable. Just have fun with the experience and then you’ll be able to work on things without being anxious.

I'm not knocking your product in any way as I've bought the kit myself, although I've only used a couple times to try and get some print lines off the back of a couple prizm luka doncic rookies that I pulled back in 18-19. My question though is what are your thoughts on the recent video of someone showing the stains returning later on with some of their cards in psa slabs? I'm not attacking or even saying that it was from your product I'm just asking in general. Thanks
Thanks for the message and for watching. I talk with my customers on a regular basis. I’ve never had anybody reach out to me, saying stains, reappeared? Sometimes they won’t go away, I understand that.
I’ve worked on thousands of cards for many years and I can’t make them all better but I’ve never had a stain come back. I’m not sure if I understand that.

It was on Dan the Card man’s channel. Basically the card belonged to Gary Moser though. A known card trimmer and fraudster so who knows what he used to get the stain to go away long enough to get graded. Another guy in a video or comment said your product was pure isopropyl alcohol that would dry out the card….also not true. I have a good idea of what’s in it and that’s not it. This mess keeps growing, a lot of calls to identify what’s in it. Graders can’t detect it so they don’t know what to do, they suck anyways so I don’t care what they say.
@@muricancars797 OK, I get it. I can’t speculate about somebody else’s card or work where the stain is there and away and then came back. Doesn’t sound right. I would assume whoever cleaned the card was successful at reducing the stain, but it didn’t totally go away. Pretty normal. I’ve been consumed with card care for years and it’s not something that comes back over time. It’s either you get it or you don’t. I’ve never seen anything resurface. I’m close with my customers too, it’s just not something I hear about. But thanks for asking. I appreciate it.
@@kurtscardcare basically the old hats like Gary moser use inferior substances which might work temporarily but dry the card out or make it brittle or allow the stain to come back etc. it’s frustrating that everyone is dogging your product but they don’t know anything about it. They’re just echoing other people’s statements. Saying it fades the card over time and blah blah. Do you have any cards you did years and years ago you could make a video on? Or a customer to reach out to? Has anyone from PSA reached out to you? Or anyone else? I mean they allow soaking with distilled water and as far as wiping down chrome cards. What the heck do they think it will do to the card? The level of ignorance astounds me.
@@muricancars797 good points, I think new stuff like this makes people nervous and they make stuff up. I don’t worry about people that are not my customers making speculations. I’m tight with my crew and I’ve worked on cards like this for 20+ years and I probably have more experience than most people doing this type of stuff ever. It’s all about using the right tools. You can definitely mess up Cards but it’s nothing that’s ever happened over time. I can tell you a bunch of stuff I screwed up right in front of my face. 😄 that’s why I’m really good at telling you what not to do.
