I shot the Torrexx XT today and I was actually shocked how good this bow shot and it had No vibration at the shot!! Very impressive bow!! Hoyt definitely has a winner here!

I got in to archery in 2020 and this was the bow that I purchased from Gateway Archery in Fort Worth, TX. I liked the price point because I was coming in as a newbie and wanted to make sure archery was something I would stick with. Well, in December of 2020 I tagged my first public land archery buck from a tree saddle in the woods of east Texas, and now in December 2021 I've tagged my second public land archery buck. This bow has held up and as Mike said - for the price point it shoots fantastic. Highly recommend this bow for anyone who's just getting in to archery. Thank you for all of your great, thorough and honest reviews Mike!

My family used to shoot for LSBA with sponsers in 3D tournaments. I recently bought a torrex at 70 lbs 28" draw. Shoots very well, i enjoy shooting a few hours with it every few days. 20-60 yards. 20 is arrows touching, 60 yards have about 2 inch group. 400 grain easton carbon arrows. After being in competitions for years and my dad placing 2nd in the world championships in 2000, i have to say this Hoyt Torrex is outstanding. Got my first bow kill with it last year at 35 yards a 200lb boar. Straight thru.

Bought me a Torrex today fall away rest. Shoots amazing. Ridiculous value for the package. Very quiet at 70 lbs.

Can i upgrade the string on my torrex so I can get rid of the standard tube sight and get a ring sight instead? If so, what should I get?

How low can the draw weight on the 60-70lbs be adjusted?

I'm looking for a new bow. I have 4 bows I'm looking into:
    Hoyt Torrex,
    Mathews Tactic,
    PSE Drive NXT,
    Bear Whitetail Legend.
What's your opinion on these bows?

    • @MikesArchery

All nice mid level bows. We don’t sell Mathews but the other bows I would rank the PSE at the top, followed by Hoyt then Bear.

What puts the pse at the top?

Also where does the Bear Divergent EKO fit in that list?

I shot the Torrex and Ventum 30 and a few PSE bows including the Drive and Evo. The Hoyts were way way smoother shooting, deader in the hand with almost no shock, and faster at 29 inches and 60 lbs. It was my first bow and I bought the Torrex today.

30 seconds is much to long for an Intro.
