Legend has it the camera operator is still trying to rack focus.
i thought the exact same thing. I have a stigmatism and trying to watch this as it shifted focus continually was driving me nuts.
Can you see that? ... No! it's blurry as shit 😂
Just got my first bow and my hunting license and gonna get out for the first time this year! Thanks for another great video 🙂
Heck yeah good luck!

Nice bow hunting is a life style. It will hook you real fast
How’d you end up last year?
Even the squeaky door calls the Bulls in at the Bow Rack!
short and sweet. literally all the info you need! great video Cam!
I know you get hounded so much but thank you. Thank you for being a source of consistency that young fathers like me can look toward as I make my own journey.
Thanks Cam! You're someone I look up to, and I'm sure everyone else thinks the same, but it's awesome to get these kind of tips on basics from such a stud bow hunter! Shu' shaa nin-la (thank you)
Very cool seeing all the kit. I have some VPA machined 3 blade fixed - but have shot a dozen animals with the rage trypan heads - I really like rear deploy for my mechanicals
Thank you for all you do for the bow hunting community!
I owe much of my passion for the sport to you 🙏🔨🔨🔨
Camron your a true legend my friend i been watching you for 20 years buddy.
Let’s go! This is only my second year with a bow so this is exactly what I need. Keep hammering!
It’s great to see a video of you just talking and explaining things again like you used too, but all of the videos you put out are great anyway though, so thanks Cam!!
Yes!! More of this please. I bought my first bow this year after listening to you and Rohan talk about bow hunting. First time ever shooting was when I went to buy (great guys at Archery Den in Nashville) I try to pick up what instruction I can from your run lift shoot videos but more archery videos would be amazing. Thanks Cam! I believe you are changing far more lives than you dare to think
*Rogan, ( auto correct needs to get with the times)
That drawbacks iconic. I'll be owning my first bow by December this year. Thanks bud
It is not how you hammer or how big your hammer is, but that you hammer.
By ripping the demons from your soul is how I hammer
My hammers pretty small man
I tell my wife that all the time !!
And that you keep doing it
@@Lxcke1 😂
Love the Bow Rack!
Been waiting for that vid, Cam! 👊🏻
Great to see the nitty gritty of what is getting it done in the field. When you stumble through a store full of options it is hard to know what is flash and what is trash. Thx!
Long overdue. Good to hear from you again on YT even though YT sucks.
Good looking out on the info. I wondered what you were running on your rig. We appreciate you putting out honest feedback on your gear.
Thank you for going over your total set up.
Great breakdown. Thanks.
Great information Cam
Just a solid beginner setup
Finally on the mechanical head train!
I’m mechanical all day! Using a Dead Meat on elk this year! 68lb 29 inch , 348 grain Easton tipped with G5 Deadmeat
Loved the bow rack and what waynes been doing there is awesome. from Az took a trip out to check it out got some reps in and got some merch! I plan on making my way back real soon! love the content Cam! Keep Hammering buddy! #KeepHammering
This was a cool video. Thx for doing it
simple and sweet intro to gear
That Origin Camo looks great!
Beautiful Roy Roth Memorial tattoo!
Let’s go cam!!!!
I’ve been shooting the Carni-Four’s thanks to Wayne’s recommendation for a over all awesome broad head.
Im ready to start practicing!!!
Firred up
🙏🙏🙏🙏 awesome Cam! Thanks man! We want to know!! 😅 thanks a lot. 👊👊👊 🔨 🔨 🔨
Welcome to Alberta Cameron! I\ll be down in your neighborhood in August.
Finally Cam you started wearing the best bino harness on the market!! Marsupial is the best. You will not be disappointed. I have tried them all.
It says Leupold on the front and back of the one he's wearing...
Gosh you are correct. It looks identical. Surprised this is not a patent infringement lol.
I’ve been watching you from the start cam living in Eugene you were always the man , I remember you giving away your last years Hoyt god bless keep hammering .. oh love the new series but did you retire from the water district yet ? You da man
Magnus stinger made right here in Kansas with a lifetime warranty!
Great video, appreciate all you have done for the Bowhunting world. What bino case are you running in this video?
Juicy Fruit. That is a must have for me on a run or bike! Stay after it!
Weird coincidence...i just picked up a pack of Grim Reapers while at the bow shop getting some arrows.....Last year I used Rage Hybrids for the first time...they worked...but they can be troublesome in the woods. Coming apart or opening. For years I was also fixed blades...but always struggled with blood trails.
Thanks brother. No Iron Will heads ? I thought I saw some with your logo on them somewhere ?
That's a complicated piece of equipment. Technical wonders. I can't see myself shooting compound though. I like the mind/body/bow connection with instinctual archery. Not that compounds don't require a lot of that kind of skill. I just need simplicity.
Respectable
Ever thought of using valkyrie archery broadheads?
Should still check 3rd axis in your hand at full draw. The hooter shooter is awesome but everyone grips the bow a little differently
Thats a bad ass set up!🔥What strings are you running tho?
What strings do you use and how often do you have to change them
Great camera work! Atleast a third of the footage was in focus.
I was thinking the same thing… I hate when it’s distracting like that. I would have had them redo it because it was that bad.
Nobody cares
Maybe stop whining
Your an inspiration and a beast with a bow, I am Native American and I look up to your bow skillls💪🏽💯
Great vid ! why the vtm over the RX?
Can someone explain his stabilizer? He has the AAE stabilizer at the end but what is it attached to?
It’s called The Mule Stabilizer
HHA all da way. 💪
0:39 that door needs to stop sounding like an elk around this man
can you make a video where you shoot 50m outdoor round or vegas round just for fun
You ever take out disabled combat veteran hunting? Would love to go out with you and learn from one of the best
My Good 😮👍👍👍
I’m a firearm hunter and recreational shooter. I just came across an office fire sale and they have a Mathew Z7 Extreme, 65lb, 29” draw, case, arrows and release all included for $380. Is that a good price? What should I be asking? I know nothing about bow hunting, but may get started. Thanks.
Even the door sounds like an Elk
Great video! The camera maybe having an issue on focus
I was surprised to not see a single bevel broadhead choice
Your thoughts on the Back Strap from Dudley?
What hoyt compound bow would you recommend for me to upgrade to from a Hoyt Maxxis 31
With your poundage and accuracy Cam, you could hunt with a blunt stick and still get great penetration.
The ad for this video was for "beyond chicken" which I thought was hilariously ironic considering the subject matter
I was surprised by the expandable broad head choice, but I guess if you shoot high enough poundage and a heavy enough arrow it’ll work
They pass through on elk and are devastating
Sponsorship, amazing what money can change !
Reapers will not disappoint. Whitetail specials do the job for me. Watch em drop.
Grim Reapers are absolute 🔥🔥
@cameronhanes which length mule is that and mountain lite bar? Im running a 15 inch bee stinger on my vtm 34 and im liking it but i kind of want to try a mule. Just curious what youve found working for you so far
I know you do a lot of big game hunting but would you use the same set up for whitetail deer? Pretty new to bow hunting.
Hey bro I’m not cam lol but I can chime in here I shoot an elite remedy 34” A to A I personally like a longer bow myself, and I run a 10” bee stinger stabilizer and I have been since 2014 some guys shoot a shorter stab but in my experience it’s never gotten in the way even from a tree stand, also get your arrows built I’m shooting black eagle carnavore arrows with wraps and blazer veins, my over all arrow weight is 530 grain my bow is 70# and I shoot the magnus stinger broad heads 125 grain with the bleeder blades and man those broad heads punched threw the bucks scapula like tin foil! Oh my sight is a spot hogg fast Eddie direct mount single pin fiber is .019 I like a bigger fiber for me personally it’s so much easier to see in low light conditions, release is a true fire I like it allot and it’s an index release but I’m not a finger puncher so never went to a thumb release, but find you a good bow shop and get your draw length measured and shoot some different bows and see what you like, it’s all about what your shooting the best with, I hope this helps! And I hope you have a killer season! There’s nothing in the world like bow hunting
Ps. My draw length is 30” I can’t stress enough make sure you get an accurate draw length measurement and a good shop will tune your bow and make sure it’s timed as well.
I have no idea what you just said but I’m digesting it 😂 thanks for the info! 👊🏻
Do you sharpen your broad heads out of the package if so how?
What kind of binoculars are those
Been hunting with grim reaper razortips for about 15 years. No reason to stop… they fly true, and absolutely destroy animals. Watch ‘em drop.
Just commenting for the algorithm
I'm not going to pretend I know how to shoot video but all the movement, zooming, and blurring was horrible.
👍
Cameraman needs to keep hammering... jeeeezzz 😂
anyone know exactly what site he is using from spott hogg?
Hammer hard, Hammer often. Just hammer
WHAT’S UP CAM?! How can I get my book signed by you? I’m in Lakeview, Oregon
@cameronhanes how durable are the grim reaper broad heads you use? I'm currently using your good old muzzy trocar.
As long as the head on the grim reapers are bent or broke you will just have to rebuild them. The spring inside and lower collar broke on two white tail specials came apart. Like most mechanicals it’s best just to replace them unfortunately. Each deer was down within sight. Blood trails won’t be like the slap cutting other brands, but still great.
Those grim reapers will change ur opinion lol I love mine. Massive blood trails.
What's that stab extension called? I've seen those things online but never clicked on to see what it was.
It’s called The Mule Stabilizer
@@coltong472 ahhh yes that’s it! 🙏
Focus dude!?
It was so distracting…. 😵💫😵💫😵💫
By heavy poundage you mean?
What stabilizer extension is he using?
That’s the aae stabilizer screwed into the mule stabilizer
Camera needs to focus quicker, great vid.
I'm seeing a lot of bowhunters switch to grim reaper mechanicals.
Cut on contact broadheads all the way
What brand is his bino holder he’s wearing
Leuopold BX-4 Range HD
tried hunting invasive species or bowfishing?
How many pounds on this bow?
Origin made a bino harness?!?!
Please. Dial that camera in.
Легенда гласит, что оператор камеры все еще пытается сфокусироваться.
Tanner, gotta work on that lens focus there bud ;)
So Hoyt really use plastic cam bushings?
That's hold me back to buy one...
Killer set up!!
wouldn't mind an extra 52 minutes of this video
“Basics” huh? This has to be furthest thing from basic. Love your stuff tho man
Nobody works harder, care
The best bow hunter in the world with the worst cameraman 😵💫
Fire that camera man. Geezz
What, no Flux Capacitor?
Thank you for the reminding why I Shoot traditional archery. But then again, shooting a stick & string isn’t for everyone. But shooting at game at 60, 70, or 100 yards with a bow not only defeats the purpose, it increases the chances of making a bad shot because a simple hop by a startled deer covers feet, and an arrow arcing to the vitals suddenly becomes a hind quarter shot. But to each their own. Show me a 10-15 yard shot at your quarry … consistently.
That’s what it’s about.
Love the content but the camera work is terrible, constantly in and out of blurry resolution
your camera man needs some lessons
