I am fully aware that this works for the Mimic Tear and the Dung Eater to an extent as well as in Online Co-op. This is in response to people believing it works with Latenna (since she's the main focus of my no attacking runs) amongst other Spirit Ashes.

I guarantee From Soft nerfed this vs bosses. You could "cheese" a hell of a lot more bosses if it actually pulled all aggro off your Ash summons.

You see, that's how it works in Dark Souls 2. The Red-Eye Ring does exactly that. You can fully turtle up and truly keep agro with it which is what people expect.

Shabriri’s woe doesn’t work with any other spirit ash besides mimic tear or online co-op

That's why I noted "Most" Spirit Ashes. Dung Eater has a taunt effect which works as well.
I've been telling commenters that for a while hence the birth of this video.

I was disappointed when I thought I could just summon Dolores and wear Shabriri's Woe for the Godskin Duo fight to conserve the limited amount of Sleep Pot...

I'm hoping in the DLC, you're able to buy materials for crafting the cooler pots and perfumes. I feel that offensive consumables should be easily stockpiled.

Does Shabriri's Woe work as a red invader? Like could i as a red phantom aggro the Host's enemies?

    • @snunpai
      @snunpai  2 роки тому +1

Enemies can't target you as a red phantom. You can take damage from enemies due to being in the way of their attack but I don't know any enemies that actively target red phantoms.
You could use a bewitching branch as a host which would cause an enemy to target red phantoms. If you had two invaders and you used a bewitching branch, I imagine Shabriri's Woe would actually work in drawing agro off the other invader.

I have seen Crucible Knight in Farum Azula being very hostile against invaders exactly same as it is to Host. Don't know about other enemies doing so. But just saw a youtube video where once host died that knight started attacking invader

These tests just prove he doesn't know how aggro works. It's like a tank in an mmo using taunt but not attacking and expecting to keep aggro. If you are going to try to make videos about how aggro items don't work then at least learn how aggro works. No dmg = no aggro, it's not a taunt so it doesn't auto aggro it merely ups the aggro you create. Use mimic with woe then take yours off and both attacking constantly to test. Garbage spirits and this method just proves you have no idea how aggro works.

You realize I understand all this? I've made an entire video about the exact concept you're talking about. I've been telling others this for a while. A good portion of my videos state that you must consistently inflict some form of damage to maintain agro (this is even shown in the video you're commenting on). This is literally in response to people telling me otherwise.
Your attempts in dismantling what I'm showing here are misguided. It doesn't increase agro for anything that isn't the Mimic Tear and to an extent, the Dung Eater. We're on the same page. I am debunking the false idea that taunt items are effective with minimal attacks or without attacking at all.

@@snunpai The title of the video is proving that it's worthless. Except it's not, I use it to help people with malenia because every host likes to die to waterfowl dance.

@@kylefretz7696 It is useless relative to Latenna, which is the source of the misconceptions I receive. I fully understand it functions in Co-op. That's why I didn't do any tests in regards to that in this video. It was very much focused on Latenna as the subject.
Your original gripe was with my "lack of understanding" concerning agro. However, it seems better to say you dislike my lack of clarity on the context when Shabriri's Woe is ineffective. I do apologize for that, but the source of the misconceptions is from the context shown here.
Also, hosts should learn to survive her big moves on their own at some point in their lifespan but that's just my opinion.
