Please feel free to ask questions, make critiques, or request to use Latenna on a specific boss. I really appreciate the positive comments and constructive criticism thus far!
Edit: Catacoom.
The other option for rennala is a certain type of pot, forces your summons to target the splashed foe
@@wyrdean_9649 Yep, I do use the cursed blood pot in the video. The splash forces agro without damage. I still did Rykard out of principle though.
great video! I wouldn't have guessed you were knew at this
The only "complaint" I could muster is the mic quality (or I think it's that anyway, I felt something was not very crisp)
But that's really not that big of a deal
@@enjoyeanyway It's still a valid criticism. I'm in the process of buying an actual mic instead of using a headset mic. If anything, trying to make the headset mic sound better is good practice. Appreciate you!
Great job, the time spent into it shows, one question though, Mogh's rune "buff" consist of the effects of taker's cameo on the player (when the summon kills something) + lord of blood's exultation (the damage buff requires blood loss), at least so I seem to remember, were you aware of this fact (not many people use Mogh's, and you didn't say it in the video, I think)?
As a longtime fellow Latenna simp who always felt she was underrated and underappreciated, this video was cathartic.
I don't even use Mimic anymore. I'll occasionally use Black Knife but I just feel so much more comfortable using Latenna.
I made sure I never found her
@@Literally___Mebased
I wish we had a version where she always uses her wolf.
Step 1: Put Latenna in a sniping spot near a field boss.
Step 2: *MUST PROTECT HER*
Step 3: Dead boss.
She’s the best.
Bewitching Branches could've helped a lot with Niall. They don't do any damage, and are a consumable. Convert the two knights to the service of your queen.
That actually would have been great to use! I was under the impression they did damage.
The knights inflicting damage is a bit of a gray area for the run but I would have done it. Thanks for the comment!
@snunpai they actually do do damage, but only with a direct hit
I came to the comments to say this. I saw a furled finger I had summoned in NG+5 use it. Mind blown. Lol
@@snunpaiLatenna USES them
@@Literally___Me SOD OFF NO WAY, REALLY?
If you really hate the chariot dudes in auriza heroes grave, you can actually cheese them with margits shackle. It creates a huge hitbox that deals no damage and is only intended to trigger its effect on margit/morgott, but it also ends up triggering fire pillars and illusory walls, and so you can trigger the pillar that destroys the chariots right at the beginning of the dungeon by using it
Whaaat no way?? So I can enter, spawn the chariot, then use the shackle? Or do they need to be in the right position?
@@basedbluehair1296 depends on the dungeon but some of them have the chariot kill pre-set so that it will always happen after you Do A Thing, even if it takes time for the chariot to get there.
IIRC this DOESN'T work on the ones where you have to knock down the big pots onto the chariot when it's in motion
@@RagnellAvalon tysm, I will try this later :)
you can also just... Tank them... they do around 1500-1800 damage without any armour equipped (and not doing actions, they do Pierce oddly) and with Auriza's Grave, the track is long enough to get up before they turn around and hit you again depending where you got hit first.
Also if you time the very first one well, you can actually run right to the end with a perfect zig zag cycle if you're quick and precise, saves a lot of time, but it's extremely risky.
@@theomegablade6415 ok but the entire point of this comment is that some people don't want to do that, and this method is easier, faster, completely risk-free, and can be done without leveling up a single time
Latenna was practically my co-op partner for 75% of the game. It’s a shame she can’t hitch a ride on the tarnished, imagine how powerful she could be if she could literally piggyback off of the player’s ability to dodge/block attacks!
She can ride Dire Wolves in the Snowfield if they get close enough to her just like other Alberneric Archers, this helps with i believe 2/3 open world bosses and she becomes extremely strong as the Wolf becomes an Ally that also attacks with her for free and the Wolf itself has Snowfield stats.
@@theomegablade6415yeah I learned that at the end of my first playthrough and I was so eager to make use of that only to learn it comes in handy in exactly one place lol. Sad.
Like miqula
Never would have guessed you were new to this form of content, because this was great. Definitely hope you want to make more of it!
So truuuuuu
for a first-time video you should be incredibly proud of what you've made! clear explanations, well-timed memes, decent pacing, entertaining personality, nice animations of your avatar (those must have taken ages) and your judgment on where to bend the rules a little bit kept the fun factor in for both you and the viewer. you get a well-earned sub from me, if you're making anything else I'll certainly watch it!
His avatar is from The Amazing World of Gumball, a cartoon from Cartoon Network, I don't think he made any animations for it. Sorry to burst yours (and his, lol) bubble.
@@kaitlynblount7683 that actually makes a lot of sense, animation is a huge amount of work! thanks for pointing that out
@@kaitlynblount7683I don't mean to take credit for using Mr. Smalls. It was an inside joke between friends to use him as an avatar. I do like the show though!
I like that you allowed yourself to use armor or weird technicalities, super strict runs are fun cuz watching someone suffer for hours is always a good time but giving some leeway allows for creativity which is more interesting imo
Strict Runs to me are a test of time. Like a naked run for instance turns into *when* you're going to succeed and not if you're going to. They're still fun but I do more of these types of oddball runs.
That in depth lesson on aggro was both clear and informative. You did a great job of it, and I was genuinely impressed and learned more than I expected. The rest of the video was also well put together and definitely didn't feel like amateur work, you did a really great job on this one. Ended up watching it all the way through and even narrating it a bit to my buddies while I was watching
Latenna is my go-to summon against any highly mobile boss (i.e. black blade kindred). Her arrows don't do much damage, but they also don't miss, so she can keep the poise pressure up even when the boss is doing backflips twenty yards away from me.
Lobos did a 'summon only' challenge run some time ago and had a very hard time with Maliketh. He was then thinking of doing a zip (a kind of glitch where you teleport a little distance away from the current location) to one of the walls and summon Latenna there so that Maliketh has no chance to reach her. He did not succeed to pull off the zip and used Finlay instead. Finlay is also good, because she can proc scarlet rot on a boss. It is amazing that you were able to beat the whole game with Latenna! I like it very much that the video is made like a guide so that one can follow very well what needs to be done to beat the game this way. I am even tempted to try this out myself some time.
Fun Fact: Finley is not intended to be able to cause Scarlet Rot, it's fixated onto the "Grab" attack Finley can do vs enemies if they're close enough, which will build Scarlet Rot despite 90% of enemies being unable to be effected by the Summon's Grab, it's a very odd oversight (it's also not meant to have the Rot build-up at all, but it's hard coded to the attack itself like other Clean-Rot Knights)
man the XIV ready check sound effect caught me off guard every time
Came here to watch an Elden Ring video, got educated on Runescape.
Great content, continue your Latenna simping.
Considering the size of your channel, you your video is exceptionally well done. This is the quality you expect from a channel with a few hundred thousand subs.
Dude I really enjoyed this video, found myself legitimately laughing out loud at your edits. At the end, when you said you are new to video editing and this is your first project, my mind was blown. Great work, im a fan.
That was a legit great explanation about the aggro range. Thank you for that!
Latenna is actually really good, she helped me in the Dragonlord fight
Very fun video, and as others said this was super well edited and funny and not just for a first project. Hope to see more in the future!
I really appreciate the effort, Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Looking forward to more of these.
Your editing is god tier. I love latenna, and great explanation of aggro range. Thanks for showing your strategy for the bosses with the 3 factors you mentioned.
I've honestly not encountered gatekeepers in the FromSoft community. Pretty much everyone I've met has been positive about different playstyles and I've always felt like the challenge community encourages it.
I put my content out there so I've experienced it a bit more. This applies to other games as well like Monster Hunter. I've experienced a lot more gatekeeper behavior there. I'm glad your experience was positive though and I should be more grateful for how positive everyone here for this video is!
Absolute mad lad. I really like your Latenna videos because of how those also end up being quite informative regarding certain game mechanics.
And really good video for someone editing for the first time.
as a fan of spirit ashes, i am always happy to see someone finding ways to do interesting things with them
Man that’s sad
A fan for a bunch of ghosts
Can they even get hot
Even worse than the robot who transports butter
Because at least he has some use
Haha 😂
This is the first video of yours that I found. I LOVE IT!
I'll be attempting my own summon only run soon with the DLC here now. Fantastic job though! Love the humor
what a great video, amazing content and surprisingly funny ! just started my jorney to no deaths elden ring and vids like this just make me wanna do it even more,
cheers
Never could have guessed this was your first vid like this... its absolutely amazing. Great job!
This video was amazing! I can’t believe this was one of your first tries at editing, I was consistently entertained throughout the entire video
Man, I love your video! The best thing is that it was genuine. I definitely gonna subscribe, so I really hope that you gonna make more videos like this! Thank you so much for an amazing hour!
Great video. Theme on point. Editing awesome. Just a great watch. Thanks!
that video was so educational with much effort that you earned my sub.. well done :)
Excellent for your first edit! Great video! Fun playthrough!
Keep it up, bud!
I honestly would’ve never guessed this was your first video. Awesome scripting and editing, and really fun run! Hope to see more challenges!
Amazing vid, I was shocked to hear you say it was your first, please keep it up!!
I really enjoyed the video! It was funny and super informative, and just really fun to watch lol
Awesome Video my man! Keep it up! Looking forward to more videos :)
New to the channel, loved the video! And the RS songs always give me a strange comfort ❤ lol
amazing video man, watched the entire thing.
10/10 video keep up the great work! Keeping notis on for the next one
i enjoyed the video. you did a good job! :)
I’m actually learning a lot of boss agro that I have always questioned. So thank you
Spicy editing. Always love ER challenge runs
Great video man, Latenna is such a queen 👑🙏
Great first video dude
Great video. Seems like you paid with a lot of pain :P love the epilogue too
Nice job on your first project.
great mentality for the ending too, it was very enjoyable to watch
i did not even play elden ring but the way you narrate is so entertaining, +1 subs :)
As a Mimic Tear narcissist, your Latenna simping is admirable.
gr8 vid, just subbed. nice presentation too
Ahh Latenna. The fantasy personification of 360 no scope support.
Amazing editing! You have gotten a new sub.
Love all the funny inserts 😂😂
Really good video, hope you make more Elden Ring stuff
This was really entertaining.
good video man... keep it up
cool challenge run idea , i enjoyed it!
Really great video! Here before it blows up ✌️
I loved the vídeo, thank you for all the teachings of the cult of Latenna Love.😊
Hot damn! Really your first video? I enjoyed it a lot.
Vid did not feel like 53 whole minutes. Good shit man!
it's been soooo long since I've listened to runescape music, my gosh dude you have unlocked a memory of peace
thanks for the tutorial, now i can solo AoD Nex
Only 1782 views? this video was great and deserves more. Thanks for the entertainment. Great job!
Sure, it might have been bending the rules to use that incantation on Elemer, but it's your run, you make the rules, and it's in the name of fun
You just inspired me to do a build that uses shield + rallying standard and tank for Latenna, best coop experience in elden ring
ABSOLUTELY. She's been my queen since late early game. Even after mimic. I just used her to kill the Mountaintops ice dragon. I'm glad someone did this.
Tl:dr Latenna best girl
The insanity of doing briar armor+fires to fight bosses for fun
I completely understand how gatekeepy this franchises can be... but i also know some very kind and opened minded people as well. As someone who struggled alot in DS1 and 2 for a long time but still loving them it always made me feel like I was bad because I relied on shilds and magic. But I think that's OK. It's and RPG the whole point is make character and build you enjoy! So you keep making builds and doing fun challenges! I'm already subscribed and can't wait to see if you do another challenge! Good luck, and don't don't hollow
Out of curiosity did you ever Git gud
Like stop relying on shields and magic for a run
@@Literally___Me I have. After my first time beating bloodborne I played the other souls games again and tried using more dogging and melee focuses builds, however I still like keeping a shield available as well as some ranged attacks
28:06 "We gotta do it the normal way by taking out the kids" Talk about out of context 😂
I think you did freaking fanastically in this
God tier editing, good vid
Thank you! Wasn't sure how I did but hearing that you liked it is amazing.
This video feels like it was made by a UA-camr with a million subs! Great video bro :)
Letenna simp as well and IMHO best way to describe her is that she is like the old call of duty sentry guns. Absolutely devastating if placed in the right spot or totally useless if placed in the wrong spot.
Never was the biggest fan of latenna, but man do I love me some cheese. Definitely gonna start using her for over world fights, that range is real nice.
great video
good video!!
omgg as your video was playing at this point i was reading a reply to one of my comments on another video. the video was about beating malenia easily and mostly they used jump attacks with a high damage weapon. i said i bet the toxic players of the soulslike community probably hated that he used jump attacks spammingly. i finished the game using summons, certain cheeses, and magic. i summoned a player to help defeat malenia (they actually did it faster than “let me solo her”. rannis dark moon is op. but i hit so many roadblocks with bosses i never could have finished the story of the game. i used latenna for fire giant and dragonlord placidux. she was amazing. i can’t wait for the dlc. i hope to play it blind as with the main game i was always watching videos to help me.
I love latenna and the albinaurics, I hope the DLC expands on them more because i'm really invested in them
Great job
Loved the video! It was really nicely put together and a super enjoyable watch. Also I checked out your channel and I noticed all the AK clears. Just wondering if you still play lol
I do; I pretty much just aim for trimmed medals along with the medal set during events. Those old videos were for friends who were struggling on certain maps and I recorded my clears for them.
Haven't touched Integrated Strategies cos it's too time consuming and I suck at it.
You absolute unit.
I kneel.
Hey, i just wanted to say that this this incredible. Your fears about the editing standard are completely unfounded. Granted that could be because I particularly enjoyed the Filthy Frank bits. Either way, you’ve earned yourself a sub as soon as I finished AC6: trying to avoid spoilers by limiting my FromSoft exposure.
dam making me look bad at the game, amazing first edited video tho really hope it blows up.
Really appreciate the kind words!
45:22 I love how you hid the RE4 merchant laugh in there 😂
In Astel, I just put her in the fog wall and he always missed somehow. It's so dumb.
One time she got him to half by herself, and was at 90% health.
She's also really good at headshots. It's noticable on Astel, Dragons and Fire Giant. Rykard also but you'd be a madman like me to use Latenna on him.
finally my queen has a run dedicated to her awesome
I wasnt expecting the latenna discord call in margit's first encounter 😂
I liked, was quite good
I adore Latenna, super sad that i cant use her in my Maidenless run.
This has made me want to play more with Latenna honestly. And I aggree with what you said at the end. I've been playing these games since Demon Souls for the PS3 and I adore them all, but the community has always been a massive letdown. Specially when you compare it to the communities around games like Baldurs Gate 3.
Even Helldivers 2 is sorta having it atm, with "Meta" loadouts and whatnot. I've been and seen people get kicked out of a lobby for not using certain loadouts.
In my first playthrough, I upgraded latenna heaps before realising she didn't move. First fight I was like "wait are you serious", but considering the investment I made I was like "so I guess she's just going to be a turret for me" and that's how I used her and honestly... she did so much work for that playthrough. Reliable damage, huge range, I just had to keep aggro off her and she would chew through anything. So since then I've been a pretty big latenna stan and that's without even considering if you can get her upgrade
My rule of thumb with Miyazakis games is "if an item/utility/ability etc sounds rubbish on paper, there's a good chance it's sleeper OP but i just need to work out how to properly use it.
I learned a long time ago from Dark Souls 1 a rule of thumb that I've kept with me this whole time.
"If you can do damage, you can win."
Whether it be by brute force or sheer perseverance, doing damage means you can hit the boss without being hit at some point in every encounter. This alone means it's possible, even if that's the only hit you can pull off.
It's just a matter of working out how you can keep pulling it off even if you're not good at the game. Your mindset reminds me of this! If you can properly utilize it, anything is viable.
@@snunpai yeah well said - all the "can i beat elden ring with nothing?" Or like, negative stats and stuff that seems unplayable... someone finds a way! 😂
I think it's great that a game can allow so much experimentation while still remaining a challenge. Feature of a well made game, I guess!
Great video !
Great video! I was actually longing for it, and you did a fantastic job with both the editing, ant the run itself. Can I request you use Latenna to beat the ulcerated tree spirit on the dungeon in Radhan's Arena? This boss gives me the freaks. Also, a question, do you think it's possible to finish a run like this at level 1? I've seen another youtuber make a lv1 summons only, but this was in an eraly build, and some stuff won't work anymore.
The only part I'm iffy about for a level 1 run is using Fire's Deadly Sin if I'm strictly not attacking again. I could do it if I'm allowed to punch or if I get access to Briar Armor without Fire's Deadly Sin.
I'll try it out on the tree spirit. I'm not a fan of them either!
@@snunpai Yes, since there is a handicap already, I think it's fair to allow Briar Armor before the beggining of the run. I think it would change quite a lot, not beeing able to use big shields, or lots of healings. Would definetely be interesting to watch and demand some refined strats in a few parts.
Man is down BAD for Latenna
Great video, top stuff!
Commander Nial - You could have used the bewitching branch on the summons!
I just wish you could save the wolf, bro is just left to decompose.
Still trying to find a good place to summon her for the magma wyrm fights in Mt Gelmir and the Snowfield. Im now a certified Latenna simp
Dude... you can hypnotize Nialls guards with the flower thingies. They'll fight him alongside latenna
LATENNA MUST APOLOGIZE TO MOGH HE WAS MIQUELESTED
The bit about the bramble damage counting as "real" damage makes me wonder, it might be hella worth to have one piece on at all times as a melee user since you could maintain poise damage on bosses when you roll into them and stagger them much easier that way.
It's an incredibly good effect for a single slot of armor. It didn't have much application in the other games since ashes and posture weren't a thing.
