Very nice video, thanks for making it. If I might respectfully offer a few observations?
The Rosary is, at its heart, a contemplation of the life, ministry, and passion of Christ.
Marian and other apparitions, even when deemed authentic by The Church, are considered private revelation and are never treated as dogmatic. That is to say, Catholics are not required to accept or believe any of them; even very popular apparitions such as Lourdes or Fatima.
The Brown Scapular was revealed by such a private revelation. Though popular with some Catholics, I’m not sure it’s acceptance is at all widespread.
(EDIT) I’m (was) not aware of any Church teaching that Catholics should venerate any statue (but I stand corrected that veneration of various holy objects is permitted in some circumstances). Rather, we may venerate the person depicted in the statue, but not the statue itself.
In the Catholic Church, we traditionally make the triple cross over our forehead, mouth and chest, prior to the Gospel reading at Mass, as a prayer that the Lord’s word would be in our minds, on our lips and in our hearts.
(EDIT) The Church does not teach that Marian devotion is “necessary” for salvation. (Though many prominent Catholics over the centuries have expressed their personal belief of such necessity, this is not a dogmatic teaching of The Church).
    Thanks, and God Bless!

It is not heresy to do not believe in confirmed Marian apparitions or other private revelations, but is temerary, especially in Our Lady of Fatima.
Not only the people reminded in the statues are venerated, but also the blessed statues that represent them. The word veneration here regarding the statues should be interpreted as respect.
Regarding the necessity of devotion to Virgin Mary to be saved, it's not a proclaimed dogma, but a consensus among (catholic) theologians that the hyperdulia is necessary for salvation, generally speaking, after someone achieved the age of reason.
      God bless.

Luna - Respectfully, can you show me that in the Catechism? If not, then it’s not Catholic teaching. Sorry.

      1:
*The Code of Canon Law of 1917, canon 1276:*
“It is good and useful suppliantly to invoke the Servants of God reigning together with Christ and to venerate their relics and images(...)”
*The Code of Canon Law of 1983, canon 1188, 1189:*
“The practice of displaying sacred images in churches for the reverence of the faithful is to remain in effect.”
“If they are in need of repair, precious images, that is, those distinguished by age, art, or veneration, which are exhibited in churches or oratories for the reverence of the faithful are never to be restored without the written permission of the ordinary; he is to consult experts before he grants permission.”
      *Roman Catechism, p. 225, 226, 228:*
“In explanation of this Commandment it should be accurately taught that the veneration and invocation of holy Angels and of the blessed who now enjoy the glory of heaven, and likewise the honour which the Catholic Church has always paid even to the bodies and ashes of the Saints, are not forbidden by this Commandment.”
“From all this we may conclude that to honour the Saints who nave slept in the Lord, to invoke them, and to venerate their sacred relics and ashes, far from diminishing, tends considerably to increase the glory of God, in proportion as man's hope is thus animated and fortified, and he himself encouraged to imitate the Saints.”
“But to make and honour the images of Christ our Lord, of His holy and virginal Mother, and of the Saints, all of whom were clothed with human nature and appeared in human form, is not only not forbidden by this Commandment, but has always been deemed a holy practice and a most sure indication of gratitude.”
“But the pastor should not content himself with showing that it is lawful to have images in churches, and to pay them honour and respect, since this respect is referred to their prototypes.”
      2:
The hyperdulia cult is necessary to be saved.
“No one can enter into Heaven except through Mary, as entering through a gate.”
Saint Bonaventure, Cardinal-Bishop and Doctor of the Church
”There is no one, O Most Holy Mary, who can know God except through thee; no one who can be saved or redeemed but through thee, O Mother of God; no one who can be delivered from dangers but through thee, O Virgin Mother; no one who obtains mercy but through thee, O Filled-With-All-Grace!”
Saint Germanus of Constantinople, Patriarch of Constantinople
“It is impossible to save one's soul without devotion to Mary and without her protection.”
Saint Anselm, Archbishop and Doctor of the Church
“Not only do they offend thee, O Lady, who outrage thee, but thou art also offended by those who neglect to ask thy favors (. . .) He who neglects the service of the Blessed Virgin will die in his sins (. . . )He who does not invoke thee, O Lady, will never get to Heaven (. . .) Not only will those from whom Mary turns her countenance not be saved, but there will be no hope of their salvation (. . .) No one can be saved without the protection of Mary.”
Saint Bonaventure, Cardinal-Bishop and Doctor of the Church
“We must conclude that, being necessary to God by a necessity which is called "hypothetical", (that is, because God so willed it), the Blessed Virgin is all the more necessary for men to attain their final end. Consequently we must not place devotion to her on the same level as devotion to the other saints *as if it were merely something optional.*”
      Saint Louis Marie de Montfort
“We must never separate Jesus from Mary: we can go to Him only through her . . . Without Mary, we shall never find Jesus. Whoever would say "I have no need of Mary" would be guilty of blasphemy! Our eternal salvation is at stake, and we are bound to honor her as the Mother of God and our Mother.”
      Saint Peter Julian Eymard
“Alas, O Lord! I am so wretched that without this dear Mother I would certainly be lost. Yes, Mary is necessary for me . . . that she may save me from the eternal punishment of Thy justice . . . Would that everyone might know that I should be already damned were it not for Mary!”
      Saint Louis Marie de Montfort
      3:
It is reckless, even if it's not required, to do not believe in approved private revelations such as the brown scapular, since it was confirmed by many miracles and many indulgences has been attached to it by the own popes, having even a specific blessing of enrollment.
"Our Lady of Fatima requested that we consecrate ourselves to her Immaculate Heart. The Scapular will be for all the sign of ourconsecration.” Pope Pius XII
Pope Leo XIII: “The Carmelite Scapular’s nobility of origin, its extraordinary spread among Christian peoples for many centuries, the spiritualizing effects produced by it and the outstanding miracles worked in virtue of it render the Scapular of Carmel commendable to a wondrous degree.”
Pope Pius XI: “In consideration of the munificent goodness of the heavenly Mother towards her children, it surely ought to be sufficient merely to exhort those who belong to the Scapular Confraternity to persevere in the holy exercises which have been prescribed for the gaining of the indulgences to which they are entitled.”
Pope Pius XII: “All Carmelites, whether they live in the cloisters of the First or Second Orders or are members of the Third Order or of the Confraternities, belong to the same family of our Most Blessed Mother and are attached to it by a special bond of love. May they all see in this keepsake of the Virgin herself a mirror of humility and purity; may they read in the very simplicity of the Garment a concise lesson in modesty and simplicity; above all, may they behold in this same Garment, which they wear day and night, the eloquent expressive symbol of their prayers for divine assistance.”
"No devotion has been confirmed by more numerous authentic miracles than the Brown Scapular."
Saint Claude de La Colombiere, spiritual director of Santa Margarida Maria.
      God bless.

Win Tutorials - Re. our Lady (to whom I also enjoy and recommend devotion) thank you for confirming what I was trying - (in-artfully!) - to covey.
Devotion to Our Lady is quite popular, quite ancient, and highly commendable - and as the quotes you provide demonstrate, quite popular - but all those statements are opinion. (An opinion I mostly share!).
But it’s just personal opinion, albeit of some esteemed and holy people.
But it’s not dogma. - if it was, we would see this stated clearly in the Catechism.
That’s WHY The Church gave us the Catechism, so we wouldn’t have to guess.
      God Bless!

Tom, Deut 4:16,19 clearly state that if God's people make graven images of something, they will be DRAWN into serving/venerating/worshiping/adoring/devoted to what the graven image represents. and this is what has happened to the Roman Church -- the First Churches thru out the Middle East/Greece/Turkey did not have statues of Mary; they had no devotion to Mary because it was NOT part of the teachings of Jesus or the Apostles (Luke 11:27-28, Matt 12:46-50). but the Roman Church brought into its system the blasphemy of a mere man as the head of God's spiritual church -- which contradicted Jesus (Matt 20:25-26) and Peter (1Pet 5:3). and then out of that heresy, came the false teaching that it was okay to make graven images of Mary -- and out of that heresy came the fulfillment of GOD's Words in Deut 4:16,19, the Roman Catholic Church has been drawn into SERVING/venerating/adoring/devoted to Mary, a mere creation of God, instead of being solely focused on The Son of God (1Cor 15:21-22, 2Cor 5:21)..

The creator of this video should have compared the "Divine Mercy Chaplet" to the "Jesus Prayer."
Both are strong in their potency and offer similar miraculous graces.
You can look up the entire chaplet but the bulk of the prayer reads:
"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world."
And then it is always ended with the Trisagion which I know you are familiar.
      Pax Tecum, brother.

The apostles were first called Christians in antioch which is modern day turkey. Go to the roots back to land of the apostles and see what the oldest churches are, they are orthodox churches. The word catholic means universal and we were all unified until the western church started bringing in alot of heresies and the eastern church could not put up with it anymore and the great schism happened and the eastern church became the orthodox church. Orthodox means the original the straight path meaning we kept original traditions unlike the western Roman church.

I saw a video posted by a an Orthodox Christian and they used the "new roman rite" to compare with "traditional Orthodoxy". This video is the most fair comparison I have seen on UA-cam so far. The fact that you like Traditional Mass doesn't mean that the comparison wasn't right. As long as it was accepted by a canonical Catholic bishop, the comparison is valid. You can take any Holy Liturgy from countryside and it can't compare with the horror of that joke of a mass with clowns and dancers.

God let as free to choose,is our choise if we see Him as Light or as fire.2. heresy is an erroneous doctrine, like a ,,church,, wich put a pope at the first place as ,,head of the church,,! heresy is every ,,church,, which teaches false knowledge, like filioque!! like purgatory for example! this are all false doctrines!!! 3.when Christ returns HE will not forgive everyone but HE will come with Glory to judge the living and the dead!!also Orthodoxy doesnt believe in a fake rapture before the tribulation! i dont know from where you have your false ,,informations,, about Orthodoxy but is not true what you tell us here!

Their differences are minimal, the Catholics represent the Western countries, and the Orthodox are representative of the Eastern countries. Both churches celebrate Mass/Liturgy and revere Saint Mary as well as Jesus Christ. Enough with the interdenominational conflicts. We should reserve our energies for praying and worshipping Jesus Christ, the Only One True Savior and Redeemer of the World.

For Catholics, the Orthodox Church is considered a 'historic church' i.e. the Church instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ that remained on the east part of the Roman Empire after its fall. Because of the political, historical and geographical rift that occured in the upper middle ages, the Churches lost communication and grew apart however despite the separation in time and space, both Churches developed the faith in the same or very similar terms which to scholars is an indication that both Churches developed under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This video is a good example of the proximity of the gifts of God to the Church. The sacraments and sacramentals of both Churches are very similar which goes to show that both Churches are deep down the same.

    Very well done, well researched!
    Two notes however;
Veneration of Mary is not taught to be necessary for salvation.
In Catholic tradition, there are quite a few different ways to do the sign of the cross, and it mainly seems to change on where you are from.
I was taught to cross the thumb over the index finger, to make a cross. The other three fingers are kept straight and separate, to represent the Trinity.
Others clench their hold hand except their thumb and index finger, and I have met a few people who do it in the Orthodox way you described.
The actual order; up down left right, is universal throughout the Catholic Church.
Crossing the forhead then mouth then heart happens right before hearing the gospel reading at a mass.

Orthodox Tradition is WITHOUT CHANGE, we keep the Tradition of the Apostolic Fathers of the Church, Roman tradition is growing by theologic speculation, while Popes and others like to portray themselves as having power to change anything. Faith in the West has become an ideology, while in Orthodoxy Faithfulness is a WAY OF LIFE. We have a very clear view: to be divinized, to be made holy, 24/7, yet as we see in the Jesus prayer, we remain sinners and know it. West likes to think in terms of created grace, seemingly without sin. This comparison simply can not show the richness of the Orthodox Church. I attended a Roman Seminary and was ordained a Roman Deacon, after a couple of years, God granted me to become Orthodox, it was one of the greatest gifts of God.

Well, the Catholics started everything. The Bishop of Rome didn't like being only First Among Equals. He wanted more, he wanted to have full authority over the whole church even though it is not written anywhere in the Bible that Saint Peter had any kind of authority over the other Apostles. The Bishop of Rome ultimately made the Great Schism and created his own church where he could have ultimate authority. And, from this heresy, came others. The Crusades, the Witch Burnings, the Inquisition, the affirmation that the Pope can't sin, etc. etc., all examples of the Catholics slapping Christian values in the face. Today, the Catholics do the same thing by not objecting to same-sex marriage and abortion. Meanwhile, the Orthodox church respected the Christian values. There were no crusades, no witch burning, no inquisition, no castrating of homosexuals. The Orthodox church understood that it's role was to bring the sinners to Jesus and the forgive the sins of those who are sorry for sinning, not to judge the sinners. Only God can judge, not the church.

No more than 'the steward of the Kingdom' means he is above the King. In fact that's exactly what the Pope is. Jesus uses the same language God uses in the Old Testament in speaking of the prime minister of the Kingdom.

In RCIA right now, but I have done the most amount of research into the Catholic faith and devotion to Mary is NOT essential to salvation. While it is highly encouraged (because why would you not desire to be devoted to the most perfect of all humans who is our constant intercessor) it is not necessary for salvation. The dogmas associated with her must be believed, but that doesn't mean you have to develop a devotion to her. However, I struggled greatly between these two traditions for a year before finally coming to Catholicism as having the fullness of Truth. However, I love the Eastern Orthodox Church and I pray daily for her, particularly in these sad times of schism. May you be united to each other, and may we, both east and west be reunited, being the light on the hill. Pax Christi.
