Thanks for the preview! I’m going to pick up my stuff from the sale tomorrow.i got the red and black 86 with no engine and you hit the nail on the head. It’s getting an LS and just gonna drive it.
That thing was a steal!!! Super nice body! Good luck!
@@moremortskerepair4354 your absolutely right....old car prices have been insane for awhile now....
You can blame new truck market for this bull.
60k for a Silverado
King ranches for 110k
(ain't nobody got time for that)
so you search and get you a square body from a farmer in your neck of the woods
crack open the LMC, or Brothers or the Filling station catalog and 25k later
You've saved 50k
I made that bad mistake cause I was into sci Fi stuff and old cars.....
And went looking for a 59 Caddy coupe....
(trombone sound here)
now there equal to a AMG Benz
Vintage vehicle market here in Denver is insane. I bought a 73 daily driver Chevy C30 from my neighbor, excellent runner driver with many new parts (some not installed) for $2500. It’s increasing in value quickly
@@patdesrosiers6423 Cheap!
My husband would be in HEAVEN going here!!!!!!! Wicked cool 😎
❤love to Duffers❤
I think it's funny as hell when you get all excited lol I get the same way
Crazy how much they went for. 2500-6000 when they were new . Mind blowing.
It's amazing how much old stuff you guys can still find lying around over there. It's getting pretty hard to find interesting vehicles here in UK these days and when you do the prices are absolutely stupid. If the people selling weren't so greedy maybe more people would be interested in saving some of this stuff. Great vid as usual, thanks Mort.
I don’t think there is a vehicle you can’t get running if the engine isn’t completely waisted. Long live Mortske and duff dog
X2
😊👍
If they aren’t blown up or seized from running without oil pressure they most likely will run
square body heaven !!!! Never seen that many affordable chevy trucks in one place !!! I could get lost amoung them for days till i was broke.
It's really cool how you can identify all those parts even covered in snow 👌🏻
It’s crazy Mortske on how high square body’s are going for! I’d like one but can’t afford one, like dent side Ford’s, I want a 79 but dang they are high! Wish we would’ve kept our 85 square body 4x4 with terd 305 4brl. Rusty but probably gold like you said 😊
Great entertainment from the guy with the dog that drinks beer in his garage. They're all good but my top pick would have been the 1972 C20 with the big block.
That guy had an incredible amount of square bodies and pieces. You have quite a knack for finding these auctions, seeing you at the auction reminds me of Duff when you bring him to the farm find cars racing around sniffing every car lol, lots of nice trucks but my favorite is the GMC jimmy just something about the blazer/jimmys
That's it, I'm buying all the square body stuff I come across that's in decent shape. I'm making a road trip tomorrow to meet a guy that brings square body cabs and beds back from the west coast. Brings them to Pennsylvania.
Got to love them old trucks! I’m gonna find me one of those 90’s rigs. Thanks for the tour.
Love the auction videos! My favorite was that loaded 1972 Chevy. Thanks for the video, keep em coming.
Thanks! Will do!
@@moremortskerepair4354 Awesome!
I knew it was a 72 because of the way that it is.
Thanks so much for all you do! (I did miss Duff doing "Duff Stuff". He's a wonderful pal!)
Rock on!
You said. =Minot supporting the Navy." I know they have an Air Force Base. Went TDY in the 1970's to Minot Air Force Base Awesome truck collection. and enjoy watching your videos on both.
Vernon Tx is my home! I know where the dealership used to be where that white truck was sold! So cool to still see that tag and truck are still around, another great vid Mortske, thank you!
Awesome!
Thank you for the excellent video. Nice weather, it’s heading our way. I’ll let our Mile High square body crew know to view this. Some frozen eye candy for us
I am half way thru the video and have to stop and thank you for sharing this auction with us ! Like you I am huge fan of Square bodies and OBS ! Own 2 myself ! As always great second channel content ! Thank the editing crew as well ! Why do we even have 401ks we should all just buy square bodies with prices like this !!!! See you Monday Sir !
Our pleasure
My daily driver is a 1999 Chevy suburban . 350 small block. Barn doors in back . Liven the DREAM ! Love ur videos. Philly says wat up DUFF🐶❤
My dad had that yellow with white 79. He passed away and it was sold with the house back in 92. I was only 12 at the time. Wish I could've inherited that rig.
my close friend that died recently built at least 10 square bodies. Everyone of them from parts. He sold them all, every vehicle butterscotch and cream was his standard color combo 350 automatics. Six were four-wheel. Some full power cab no air in any of them. all came with custom made rear window gun racks
I like to clean up modifications to cars more, clean, polish, rims tyres, lower, interior clean up, engine bay, clean, carb, extrators, radiator, upgrades, easy stuff, tint, big changes to stock car!
The Used Rig Prices Here in Arizona are Totally Insane too, mainly Because of the Zero Rust Thing.
My dad, uncles and grandpa all drove square body Chevys and GMCs in the 80’s when I was a kid. I remember going with my dad to buy two new ones. I owed a 1979 chevy K10 in the late 90’s and a 1987 Sierra 2nd swb. Both were excellent condition. Should have kept them.
I am glad you were able to make up to the auction, even if it was to just to give us a first person overview of all the sweet stuff that was there. Thank you sir! 👍🏻😎
I still can't get over your distain for Cragars lol. It's just... illogical! Have a good weekend!
Well said!
Thanks for taking us along! It’s always fun to see what kind of stuff is still out there. But, as you said a lot of it is pretty pricey! Me, I might have gone for the ‘68 or one of the older ones. Great content!
Thank you for making this video. I was watching this auction and it was nice to see the stuff up Close. The prices were climbing a little high for me. Nice to see I didn't miss any bargains. Keep up the good work. Very Entertaining! The orange and white 3/4 ton to rebody a 3/4 4×4.
Glad it was helpful!
I would have grabbed that rusty ‘63, even if it was just to drive it into the ground. I had an old rust bucket ‘63 for years that I just drove anyway until the floor gave out on me. It was so cooked, but I had a lot of fun with that old pile.
The stuff that comes out of your mouth absolutely cracks me up… always a pleasure watching! I liked the older fords…
Louisiana is high on the same trucks for no reason thanks for taking us along
My favourite was the orange and white c20, it was a sharp truck.
God damn thieves, I really hate thieves!
The red and black 84 C10 brings back memories of my late uncle's 84 just like it with the exception of the interior being red (he drove a gas delivery truck for Standard Oil Co. dealer in the area years ago), ever since those days that's been my favorite color combo, and I had an 87 Sierra Classic just like the 85 with the blue bug shield .
Awesome!
Wowza!! watching you trudge around that lot made me glad I was warm and comfortable in frozen Ontario. Thanks for the trip out, The prices on most of the vehicles were too high for what they were
especially with some assembly necessary. I'll talk to the powers that be about merch, i can't make promises . Take care . you and Duff dog stay warm and safe...Stu from Ontario......
Thanks for walking around to show off those trucks. I like watching when you do that just to see what is still out there.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dang I payed $3750 for my 90 GMC extended cab Dooley 4x4 454 auto. Couple of my buddies said I got ripped off but man it sits low has great pick up and handles amazing considering its almost 33 year old.
Thats a great price 👍 I saw a 96 dually crew cab 4x4 black with maroon interior kinda beat up ad said 12k no less don't call unless you have 12k cash....
Man, you are right! With those prices I wish I still had a few of those! Two thumbs up buddy 👍on the trip.
I’m 35 miles from Breckinridge Tx. Square bodies are really high around here. There is a 75 short wide in fair shape for 7500$ that I went and looked at a few days ago.
Bet it was dry tho.
my father had 6 square bodies from a 74 3/4 ton, 79 single rear 1 ton, my favorite was his 80 3/4 ton 4x4. a 75 1/2 ton, 76 1/2 ton, and finally a 87 3/4 ton
Thanks for the Auction tour. Little snow up there. ❤ Glad you picked up a few things. The tires look great.
Our pleasure Terry!
Congrats Mr. M and thanks for sharing--the tire collection keeps growing! 😆
Thanks 👍
That 95 with the five speed seems cheap. Here in Kentucky that would bring good money.
Same here in MD that truck would be $6500
That was like a used Squarebody factory! I agree with you on those GMC V6's. My Dad had a '64 as a shop truck. It was a tutone and very pretty, but demanded premium fuel and really didn't have all that much power for 305 ci.
Thanks for the info!
Your right. That was alot of square body trucks. Thanks for sharing!
Yes it was
Thanks for taking us along! I enjoy poking around the auctions. I really liked that Jimmy, really solid
Our pleasure
I used to buy those old 4x4 blazers for a few hundred . I probably owned 10 of them from a 72 to 96.
My fav was the 72 .
But the mid 80's blazers were much better on mpg.
I had a 76 that got 10/11 mpg .
Good vid .
So many square bodies I like the orange one don’t see much of them. Yes things are old are not cheap anymore. Great video thanks for all you for viewers out there.
Thanks Roy!
Good memories riding around on scratchy saddle blanket seat covers. It was in dads black and white square body when I was little. He swapped out the diesel and drove that thing everywhere. Sad day when he sold it for a Hilux. Hilux, then the F150, and Tundra all got a pair of them. His current Tacoma is waiting for a set. The up side is they kept you from sliding across the bench seat.
VERY nice collection! I suspect that thanks to the internet, there are no secrets nationally. Get a guy or two from a large midwestern city and suddenly a small town $500-750 rig goes into the $1,000's. You made some excellent buys - love that steering column. That crew cab was pri-CEY. Had a chance to pick up an '87 crew cab in great shape a couple of years ago for $2K down here and I just @#$%ed up. That said, can't go wrong with a crew. Very cool episode, left me drooling. Kudos to the seller for really thinking about the needs of the buyer - just a one-stop shop for all things square-body.
I absolutely love square body trucks, that was quite a collection of pretty decent trucks. Some of those prices seemed Fair others were out of sight 😂 being from Massachusetts a decent square body demands big money. Thanks for bringing us along I enjoyed it 👍✌️🇺🇲
Right on
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give content I love the auction stuff
You bet
Amazing collection of neat stuff. Thank you for the tag along.
Thanks for watching!
Masonic decal on the back of the '68 C-10 pick-up. Level up Brothers!
You and Duff are the best no matter what Puddin says,Lol.
hahaha thanks
The Lord rides again….never wanted to go to the USA,however if I could meet Mortske the trip from Essex would be well worth it..
Man, I would have loved to go to that auction! The prices on the square bodies are getting ridiculous! I wish I would have kept every square body I had, I'd be hella rich right now! 😅
Thanks for bringing us along. It's always great to see all the goodies at the auctions! Have a great weekend! 😊👍
Same to you!
Yes , at one time, I had three 70's short bed bodies, mint. 😞
@@rssvss DANG!
Great editing and awesome content even through the snow! Enjoying all the great work you did on this and your doing great!! 👍👍👍
Thanks much!
West of 281! I had 3 lots I was watching. Two lots were the tires you purchased. I had plans to use them on a 1948 international yard deco. Glad you can put them to use. The other lot was the dually. Thanks for the video
Thanks for bidding me up!
Thank you for another auction video. It's nice seeing the "what could have been".
You're more than the guy who drinks beer in his garage with his dog. You also drag junk home for your salivating fans.
Good luck on your future purchases!
Thanks for watching!
I feel so freakin foolish , all those squares that have passed thru my hands, thru those years. LOL
DANG!!!
That's alot to take in for a simple mind (mine)
Thanks Mortske for taking us with.
Central California watching
Our pleasure!
I used to be able to pick up square body chevy trucks for $800-$1000 10 years ago glad I hoarded all the trucks and parts I have! Thanks for taking us along @mortske!
Do you have any square body power window doors for sale by any chance.
@Terrence Giordan everything I have I am using on projects.
@@danielnowicki917 thanks for getting back to me merry Christmas.
Wow... That snow. It's REALLY cold here in London (0 or -1'ish). For London, that's cold! Be great to get all that snow as well! Anyway, great vid Morts, I loved going round breakers yards when I was a kid, with my ol'Dad to start with. There aren't many left now here in southern England sadly.
Never realized that old Chevy pickups are so collectible. I remember when 73 Chevy pickups never made it into the 1980s because you could see right through to the other side from rust holes.
That's how most of em are. Probably what drove prices up.
I grew up in Massachusetts and all those trucks were being scrapped at ten years old because they had rusted in half. My C30 is a lifelong Colorado truck, has some body rust but the underside is mint. I’ll keep that one for the duration
That's why they're collectible most of them have rotted into the ground or have more rust than frame
@@TwoDollarGararge /Supply and demand!
Mortske I love your channel and I love duff. You guys are awesome. My favorite channel by far.but my second favorite is this and that garage. Idk if you know who that guy is , but he’s awesome like you and likes to get things running after sitting for years.
I’m here in Charlotte nc., and I recently bought a 1980 all original c10 custom deluxe. Fairly rust free truck. They aren’t cheap around here. Check it out when you get time. I have a short video on it. I daily drive it to work
"Has a steering wheel you can drive with handcuffs!" 😂😂 Thanks love the square body tucks! Had a. `81 long box.
Those were some nice looking units for snow country. Some were used hard and put up wet but some of those 60s models I would throw money at.
ThAt was cool seeing all those trucks!! And you were Wright
About the price 's out of my league!!!!!!!!
Great video.I've always liked the square body pick ups.I think I would have bought the Jimmy,of course IF I had plenty of money, which I don't.
Woof, that tan ‘77 with the stripe package was a beauty. I’d love to have that. I had a tan/brown ‘77 with a 6 banger with a stick. And for that $17K truck, you wondered why there were snaps around the rear window. That was a California thing in the 70’s. It was an upholstered boot that attached to a cap after removing the rear window. I had one put in my new ‘79 Dodge. It was great for camping. You could put your stuff on the cab seat for easy access. When I moved back to NY I still had the truck, and it wasn’t so nice not having a rear window then. Brrrrr.
Putting rockers and cab corners in my 76 short stepside. Factory 454(mildly built) factory tach,AM FM CB radio, still have the Delco cb mic. Every option except power windows. Wiped a cam lobe off in the 454 after about a year of braking transmissions and rear ends. I sure miss driving it.
Awesome!
Hey MORTSKE 👋, That was a cool place there . The jimmy was in good shape. 3+3 was in good condition too. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome share dude. Thanks!
You bet!
Thanks for the tour
Thanks for watching
that was fun, thanks for the tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks , enjoyed this. I loved the Blazer. Loved a lot of them.
Glad you enjoyed it!
T, now square bodies are popular finally, weve all been waiting, my 87 custom deluxe 454, original 157k miles, I paid 1k, now 8k... I'll take it..
thanks for the tour!
Any time!
I think i would have went with that sweet OBS regular cab step side. Always thought that was a sharp setup. Definitely have to find some different wheels though ;) I had a 78 C20 for a couple years that i really liked- put a 87 Firebird TPI setup on it, MSD ignition and a Comp RV cam managed to get 13MPG out of it with a Turbo 400 great truck until i accidentally ran it into a power pole :/ My favorite square bodies are the ones with the 4 square headlights.
They all made good money, but values are going up for these. time to buy every cheap one near you! Thanks Mortske for taking the time to do the video!
Glad you like them!
Very cool ,, enjoyed it very much .. in 1979 a new short box chevy truck sold for 9500 dollars and I bought it
Can’t believe the prices of some of them trucks 🛻
Thanks for sharing
Shoulda kept it!
Great second channel show Mortske….. love looking at all those trucks. Carry-on.
Thanks michael!
Those fire brush trucks are good deals. Often low miles. Good stuff. The used ones up here get 10,000-15,000 in the northeast.
Thanks for the video and thanks to the editing department! I like the 60s long boxes. 3 in the tree or 4spd.🐾🍺
Thanks Stu!
Probably the OBS shorty's were the best deals.
Unreal how squarebody prices have gone up.
That was some strong money for longbox trucks.
Love those Square bodies. Rare in the UK, see a few around my area probably because of the old US Airforce base
Dude that 60-66 gmc v6 is a beast it was designed as a true truck engine. If you would take a bit of time and learn about the 305 and 351 v6 engines you might be impressed they both had better power than the Ford or Chevy options of the day. They are a big block bore and have a nice deep growl.
The 79 GMC Jimmy is the same two tone color as my GMC Sierra 4door one ton dually! Awesome! Would love to have it as a mate to mine! Great video 👍
Very cool!
That was a cool video, always appreciate seeing these auction and collection videos!
Thanks for watching!
Keep the squares rising up on money baby Duff!!I own a 74 Super 20 454 3/4 ton , Americana 🇺🇸🍺
Thank you Mortske 👍👍
My pleasure!
Jimmy my favorite by far!! Great video brother!! Stay blessed!
No question, the red and white Jimmy. I almost cried when you showed it...I'd mortgage the house again to buy that. NICE!! 😎 The yellow Chevy was nice too...wow! Just a few years ago, you could buy square bodies all day for under $5,000. (The nice ones....you can get rusty ones cheap, of course) Now they're selling for 15 and 20 grand, it's insane. Thanks for sharing Mort!
Inflation apparently
Been high prices here on the west coast for 20 plus years.10k buys you a rust bucket needing 20k to fix
Really like these salvage crawls, keep them coming!
Will do!
The ones I like was the 79 GMC Jimmy, 71 Ford F100 and the 77 Chevy K10. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for watching Todd!
Thanks for the bonus! Unbelievable prices on some of that stuff! Definitely would have wanted the Ford.
You bet
I'm sitting on the couch here in Altus Oklahoma 15 miles from Vernon Texas and he called it Atlas omg! yep no salt on the roads here we use sand..... Great video as usual Kevin, And I think my favorite one was the orange one Don't know why......
My bad!
Fantastic video n again, thank you Mr Mortske.
Thanks for watching Ross!
Hey Mortske. Awesome vid Dude. I liked the Big Black Long Bed Camper Pickup towards the end the best.
Thanks Darryl!
