One thing about the oil sanctions is that it can’t be more than 50% Russian, so yes we’re buying Russian oil. He is obviously very bright, but surprisingly naive about the American gov. Nothing we do is morally based, which is always our excuse when it comes to toppling gov’s and punishing populations with sanctions to weaken economies and punish populations in the hope they revolt. We have no qualms propping up dictators when useful. America spends insane amount on military because we want to dominate the globe, and we do, whereas Russia seems to work towards their own security. Our annual military budget is around 800billion-1trillion, whereas Russia’s is 65billion. Obviously Russia isn’t a threat to the u.s., but we actively work to keep their economy and influence weak, especially in Europe (nordstream). Many Americans want to arm Ukraine only because we are tragically misinformed as a population. No different from iraq,Afghanistan, Syria, and the rest of our military conflicts.
Anyone interested in Ukraine conflict, Nicolai petro is a great source as an American academic who’s been living in Ukraine and studying their politics since 2013 ua-cam.com/video/N8yH2euzpEM/v-deo.html. Of course prof john mearshiemer’s talk on YT from 2015 ‘why the Ukraine crisis is the west’s fault’. This podcast interview of Scott Horton ua-cam.com/video/bCyNbuz1DiE/v-deo.html. In case your confused about ‘democratic’ Ukraine, they may have elections but there has long been political violence by the government. Even the u.s. state dept had to admit a report on human rights in Ukraine 2021 stating, ‘Significant human rights issues included credible reports of: unlawful or arbitrary killings, including extrajudicial killings by the government or its agents”, and yet we have been arming and training them beginning with Obama when we backed the violent overthrow of their gov and installed the replacement (and were caught doing so with leaked phone calls).

You're already so self-convicted by the idea that you'll somehow accidentally become him that you risk being caught on your blindside by one of him. You cannot be afraid of utilizing effective (albeit often vilified) tactics to defend yourself from a person with his particular pathological inclinations.
