The reason why the PS5 does not have a Bluetooth option is because it does not have Bluetooth connectivity whatsoever. The only way it would support Bluetooth is with a USB dongle. 2.4Ghz or wired are far superior options anyway. I just can’t wait for Focusattack to create a template for it for custom artwork! Then I’d toss one of my many spare Sanjuks V3’s in that bad boy, as well as some Crown 202’s with some Kailh Navy Thick Click switches… 😜
Would you consider doing a follow up video to show a bit more on PS5 support? For example, are we talking native support or legacy, ala Brook Fusion? Perhaps explain this with gameplay of different games. Thanks.
I have a Mayflash F500 that I modified with Sanwa parts and I've been very happy with it, but one thing I like about this new F700 is that it's all black. I found the unmodified F500 kind of garish with all of that medium red it had (to the point where I wouldn't recommend buying one unless you really like red or plan to modify it). The F700 is compatible with the PS5 right out of the box! That alone is a big selling point. I have to use the Brook Wingman FGC converter with my F500. One thing I wonder about modifying the F700 is how tightly those buttons are connected to it. Prying the connectors loose on the F500 was like pulling teeth.
Nice simple design. Reminds me of the Qanba Eightarc design wise. Cool to have the connectivity it offers as well. Main thing I hope they do change is to make the stick connections quick connects. I’ve never understood why companies market a stick as “moddable” but then solder the stick connections. Chances are if someone cares enough to change buttons that they’ll also want to drop a different stick in as well.
My F500 V2 is my go-to. Unlike the elite, I had to replace with my own Sanwa parts but once I did…. The F700 if anything like the F500 V2 is a sure-bet for me!
Looks pretty good! I'd love to see a "bake off" between this, 8-bitdo and maybe one of the more common professional stick solutions to see whats the "Best bang for the buck".
This couldn’t have released at a better time. Because of my setup, I wanted a wireless stick for my pc and ps5 instead of running a cable across my living room. Because it will be my first, I didn’t want to spend 400 on a stick. I was going to get an 8bitdo with a converter, but lo and behold I found this right before I tried to checkout. I am so happy this didn’t release a month from now as I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise and I am usually unlucky like that. I don’t understand why more fights sticks don’t have a wifi option. I understand latency might be an issue. But for beginners and non serious players like me, I can’t imagine it’s a big issue. Convenience and price are bigger issues.
Ron did they mention a price? If they can hit $150ish I’d get this day one. The non-elite F500 is about $100 so $150’seems reasonable. I prefer 2.4ghz over Bluetooth so this looks good to me.
I love how it has the legend for all 3 controller layouts, though it would have been cool to have the feature like the 8bitdo one where you can just show one of them at a time with a switch but with all 3 instead of just xbox and nintendo.
Thanks for the review. I checked it out and Mayflash says an XBOX wireless version is coming soon. Right now I have a great Mayflash F500 Elite and a very serviceable Mayflash F300 for the second player. I was looking to upgrade the 300 to Sanwa components, but will hold off and see what the Xbox F700 is like before I do that. Can't say enough good about my experience with Mayflash.
Wait a sec, when you use the switch at the top to change consoles, does it only sync to that device? Or do you have to re-sync to the different device every time? I always have the problem of having my headphones sync to the wrong device all the time.
i got this the ps3/xbox/pc version its so good out the box. its got a chinese symbol in the left corner sanwa ready i looked inside its got the cable attachment for the stick. but ill only upgrade to check if theres better.
highly recommended to new comers in arcade stick but has multiple platform. from switch, ps3,ps4 and ps5, android and apple. bang in a buck. easy to mod too. best all around stick while saving for thebanger ones
Does it come with the dongle? Think about getting this for my ps5 to play some tekken 8/mk1/sf6. Been waiting for a decent wireless option for a fighting stick
Thanks for the vid, I am not too sure what this does that's better that the 500 Elite that has the Sanwa parts? I am planning to buy one (now seeing them as wasn't aware of them), but for me as an xbox, switch owner and PC the 500 Elite looks the better deal. Before I splurge on that though, is there something truly ground breaking the 700 offers I am missing?
I have the f500 elite with a magic s ultimate adapter to play it on my ps5. It's an awesome stick but I'm definitely feeling the knob at the top and the compartment that holds the adapter. Once they make art cuts to fit this model im in 👌.
If trends continue, we'll likely see an F700 pro in a year or two. Mayflash never disappoints honestly. I just hope the F900 when it eventually happens comes with a removable USB instead of the hardwired one.
I have always heard that 2.4ghz is faster then bluetooth on retro systems but is 2.4ghz faster then bluetooth when it comes to PS5/PS4 and Switch? I'm talking about input delay when I say faster.
I wonder how it stacks up against the 8bitdo Arcade stick. I have the original (non Xbox) version and I like it a lot. Was thinking of getting a second but if this is better I might pick this one up instead of a second 8bitdo depending on the price.
I use the original 8bitdo on ps5 and Xbox series using the mayflash magic s ultimate and the magic x and I can't recommend this setup enough it is a great option cause it covers all bases.
@@OnlineTubahow did you connect it to the ps5? I’m trying to connect mine to a ps4 with the Magic S Ultimate and it doesn’t seem to work, maybe I’m doing something wrong

Could you ask them to sell themed art packs that are precut to fit the stick? For example maybe 10 pieces of Street Fighter art work in one pack and make other themed packs. I'd like to have nice artwork on my stick but I don't have the time to figure out Paint Shop pro myself and it's a hassel trying to find someone to do it for you.
