I've just started using Procreate and honestly did not know where to start as it's so different than Adobe Fresco. This really helped me! I couldn't find how to change the opacity of the layers and so many other things so thank you for this quick and informative overview! :)

Brilliant! This is exactly what I need - I'm new to Procreate, but I'm also a seasoned user of many programs/apps like Photoshop etc. What I need is exactly all the different gestures and the way of "thinking in Procreate". Granted, I've watched some videos about Procreate, so now I'm halfway familiar to most of the concepts (that differ from Photoshop and the like), but having all this in a rapid-fire way is much more to my liking.

Just got an ipad and procreate, before this I used an android tablet with sketchbook on it. A fine app on its own but I wanted to up my digital art a bit. Thank you for this! It will help a ton with the transition from Sketchbook to Procreate

I enjoyed this. A couple shameless self-promotion here and there; we love to see it, and for as long as I have been following you here and on Patreon you still taught me something new! Dynamic brush scaling would have come in handy not too long ago. Also now I know what the front and back settings are for in the warp tool. I had no idea that making a sketchbook file using page assist was even a possibility! oh and I definitely need to make a signature brush.

You can also go back to previous stages of your drawing if you make each stage a separate layer so when you turn off the layers you see sketch, then colors, then shading, then lineart, etc on different layers. I often work that way digitally and I think it’s a good habit to keep for saving progress especially if your in a professional art field as they often want to see your progress work.
Another tip is if your experimenting with an effect or shading of an area and your not ready to commit to it, make sure you do it on a separate layer so if you hate how it looks you can easily erase or turn off the layer to get rude of it. I often do that when adding effects or textures to my pieces
Good idea. Similar idea, if i get progress that has potential but I want to try a very different approach, i duplicate the file and rename that as v2. Another idea from the tips: - selecting layers and dragging them to the “+” so Procreate creates a new image file?
