Yams are the best, Mercury suck now they are unreliable Chinese junk and the v12 is just a joke, they reached too far with their new chinese owners and yamaha will beat their output with a v8 just watch. Johnny Rude just went bust even though they were great engines. Suzuki are good but only the smaller ones like df25 can compete with Yamaha. I don't see what you are getting at pal.. i mean I'm in UK with a massively overpowered 14ft mayland and you sound like you'd turn your nose up at it because it never had a 425 v8. Why not state your cause? Let's here it?

The 4 stroke v6 and 2 stroke v6's as well as the old school murq inline 6's sound nasty out of water 😎 so much potential for these engines that most don't realize

I love my 18ft Ranger with 150 Optimax and my 20ft Bullet with Mercury 225 sports XS Optimax I wish kids would get into boating and out boards instead of video games and sitting on their ass doing nothing! Please take care of your folks boats though!

your yamaha wasn't 'peeing' very well. the stream should start after about 5-6 seconds, and then be a lot stronger. you need to drop the lower end, put on a new water pump kit or you'll over heat the engine. it's not hard, lotta videos on how to do it. good luck.

Should of took the plugs out and tipped a spoonful of oil in those cylinders. Trimmed it all the way up and spun it over by hand before trying to start it. She sounded like it was pretty dry.
