Wow this video is so thoroughly explained and the camera work is phenomenal! Super knowledgable and as I’m dealing with the same issue on my engine which is also the same, I can’t thank you enough!
I enjoyed this video and do not have any fuel problems 🙏but just purchased a used boat with a Yamaha F150. I am watching everything related to that motor. Your explanation and care in presentation proves you are passionate about what you do! This video made me subscribe to your channel. Well Done and God Bless!
Thank you Bean, really appreciate you thoughts, I just explained things same way I’d like someone explain it to me. lol Take car and thank you for watching.
Hi Danny, glad to help. I send my injectors to specialized shop where they replace micro filters and deep them on an ultra sonic solution. In all these years haven’t had one which was not perfectly clean. Take care.
Hi Green, thank you for watching, your comments are valuable. Yes, next week I have some mercury services I'm doing and I will upload. I think the first one is a 2022 200XL. Thank you.
We just found you. Best videos we have seen. We have had this problem 2 times on a fairly new boat. Had fuel tank polished again he said water was coming in ptrap because of location. We are going to move ptrap the one we have is attwood do you reconmend a vent p trap we lost our confedence in attwood products and jeanneau dealer doesnt want to help even though it is a 795 jeanneau. Or is you know who to contact. Thank you for you help
Awesome video, I’m having the same problem. I cannot figure out how the water is getting into the gas tank. I have a 2015 Silverwave with a tritoon, the vent on the tank looks like the hose runs to the top of the tank in the transom. If the ass end of the boat gets weighted down I would assume water would come in the vent?
Hi Christopher, yes it's a possibility, also make sure your sender gasket is sealing correctly and your fill in cap’s “O” ring is doing the job. Try installing a Racor fuel water separator this way you’ll be able to see when water is building up at the bottom of the plastic window, also add a can of fuel stabilizer, it helps mixing the water molecules with the gas and so getting burned in the combustion chamber. Take care
This video is fantastic. Very thorough. I am having the same issue with my engine. Would all of these components be in a Yamaha service kit or would I need to be ordering o-rings and filters for the water separator separately?
Hi TheTipo, Any part regarding the injectors and VST tank is not party of regular service. However the green secondary fuel filter in the front of the motor and the Water separator fuel filter are. Thank you so much for watching.👍🏻
Great video! Got into some bad gas on last trip. Engine (Yamaha 150) alarmed when docking for the last venture out, so only had a short distance to the ramp from where we were staying. Never ran rough and I didn't push it hard. Primary was 60% water, and water separator was 75% water. Both were changed out. Gets done every 100 hours and never have water in them. Boat has never seen anything but non-ethanol and every fueling gets a dose of ring free plus. Didn't know about the VST drain until this video. Drained it and got about 15ml of water to start then only gas. Does the primary alarm when full or partially of water? Also wondering if I need to pull the injectors and if the VST filters need replacement? Thanks again for a great video!
Thank you for tuning in, sorry for the late reply. It’s alway a good idea when you suspect of having water in the tank, to replace your water separator with a Racor, the one with the plastic window underneath, this way you can drain it once in a while to remove water little by little. Try Racor , part number S3213. Take care. 👍🏻
Good point probably with a very old bowl. I’ve done it all this years closing the jaws to just touching and never had an issue. But good comment nonetheless. Thank you for your comment. Take care.👍🏻
@@us4marine I have had ongoing issues with my F115 since I purchased it. I always contributed the issue to bad tank that we thought was flaking off and clogging the vst filters, maybe bad gas, etc... I'm now wondering if the small particles clogging the vst filter are actually from the vst tank? ever have issues with that?
Joseph you killed me, LOL, WOW your comment is not only powerful and well intended, it also shows the kind of person you are. Thank you a million times, I truly wish you the same. God Bless you and your family my friend. Take care 👍🏻
Hello: I have a YAMAHA F150, I would like to ask if there will be 3 beeps when I turn the key to ON? I have never heard this sound, I do not know if my alarm buzzer Is the connection normal? How to test that the wiring of my siren system is normal?
Hi yaoalen, The 3 beeps it’s only when you are un neutral, as soon as you shift into gear it goes away, this is due to 2 things. A) There is water in your secondary fuel filter, the one in front of the engine inside a white plastic bowl, inside there is s float sensor which only floats with water and not with fuel. B) If there is not water there, your bowl assembly is defective, to test it just disconnect the wire underneath the bowl to a blue connector, if when in neutral the beep stops, you found the issue. Now keep in mind, if there is water in the bowl, that means there is water in the water separator filter, indicating there is water in your gas tank. Thank you for watching.

great video, what would cause a high idle rpm after replacing injectors, cleaning VST, and replacing all fuel filters?
There are may factors which contribute to high idle, but excess of air intake would be on the top of the list. Thank you for watching 👍🏻
