Agreed. I don't follow any rule unless I know why I'm doing it. Like I never salt the water when I'm making pasta because no one's made a valid case for why I should, and I always put the noodles in before I start the water, because I think it cooks faster, and no one will tell me why I shouldn't.
I love that they include why you don't want to do something alot in almost every video, if you like cooking and playing around with recipes it helps avoid some problems lol
If you’re still wondering about the pasta thing, I use a lot of salt in my pasta water (to the point where it tastes almost like sea water). Reason being, the pasta only absorbs a small amount of the salt and it adds flavour to the pasta itself. I’d recommend trying one batch of pasta without salted water and another with salty water. See which one you enjoy more 🙂
Ava Kay also, its faster when you are doing many things at once. Adding salt to water increases its boiling point, meaning that the water can reach a higher temperature. This means that instead of putting pasta in the water before its boiling and keeping an eye on it for a while, the pasta will cook faster so you dont have to worry about it while cooking your protien, or making your sauce.

Gotta say this channel is way WAYYY better than Tasty
everything they make is well done and sophisticated. Tasty is like "CHEESE" "HUGE". Tasty is aimed toward viral content that gets attention and BA is a well respected culinary magazine.
Tasty is so dramatic, i just want to see food not personal stories
BA is just straightforward and chill. But both have different appeals

Oh man, I didn't know she was leaving. Bummer. Her vids are how I found the channel and why I subbed. I mean, all the contributors are excellent here but her elaborate homemade versions of mass produced commercial products are just, like, way next-level stuff.

Guys I messaged Claire on Instagram as a reply to a story she posted and she replied back to me. Yes she is that person who replies to her fans, I honestly love her so much. This was her exact reply : "Haha I am in the process of figuring it out! Going to try the freelance thing for awhile. There's also a chance I'll be back to BA to shoot more videos, so stay tuned!". SO ALL HOPE ISN'T LOST. We still might see Claire and Brad again in the future!!! I am also hoping she starts her own UA-cam channel or something.

Wow so many rude people. You are all acting like BA fired her when she is leaving to go do new things and further her cooking career. If anything people should be proud and happy for her not saying they are not watching anymore BA videos. Its obvious Claire has become so successful because of BA and our support so instead of throwing a fit like children how about we all show how happy we are for her and support her decision.

the struggle was the best part of the Claire BA videos! Its like she was climbing this impossible mountain and got to the top, and we all got to enjoy the peak! It was beautiful. The struggle is what made us connect with her. She is a human showing us her most vulnerable moments of "failure", and the struggles in the kitchen that we all go through was an inpiration to not give up in our own kitchens! Plus, junk food truned gourmet? Who could resist!!!!!!
I love bon appetit, seriously. Best cooking channel on UA-cam. BUT... If Claire has to leave, I hope she's leaving to start her own channel because she would soar. Only problem would be if the gourmet version series is Bon Appetit's intellectual property in some way...
She would lose access to the high amount of materials and tools needed as well. It wouldn't work outside a test kitchen.
Chrish M It'd certainly be a lot harder to do yourself, but Andrew from Binging with babish managed to build up a set kitchen with (presumably) money from the channel and most of the things Clair's done could be done with a similar amount of equipment

@@chernandez2134 Andrew doesn't really test many things really. He just does research and tries a few ways, then gives his opinion on which is best.
I mean it's prolly BA's property however I don't think they would mind, and if they did i have a feeling the rest of the kitchen would get mad and quit as well so... as long as she does a shoutout to her old episodes on BA and tells people to subscribe to BA i think they would be quite happy to let her continue the series
