I have a Win10 install thumb drive... Another for Ubuntu... Another with commonly used apps (many the same as yours). What a great idea to have everything together!
I was trying to put together an all in one and found it hard to have this be possible, even partioning or using YUMI which was for distros/ISO files.. I have a 128GB i use for school and multiple other things. THIS is perfect and never heard of portable apps.com. That is a great resource. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. thank you!
i've done multi usbs and i've surmised that 1 usb won't cut it for me. those are helpful utilities combining a lot together, but still waiting for the pitch on why this is the only one you'd need. for example, mac os on target disc mode, vms/visors, ssd scratch drive, extra storage partition, ntfs vs ex-fat vs fat32/16 vs ext2/3 + swap file rwx transfers, veracrypt volumes... many use cases still require separate usb drives. then there's usb c, so a dual port usb drive. uefi vs legacy... 🤔
Audacity (for minor sound editing and capture), Data Recovery Wizard, Hex Editor, IPScan, PicSizer, SysInternals AutoRuns. I also carry OBS (Open Broadcast Software) so I can capture unusual happenings on computers I am troubleshooting if I need to - never use it though.
God bless I love you for this video. I have been struggling fighting a corrupted HP factory OEM partition as a side project for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will get the job done that I needed without going into a long story. I wish i could buy you a beer.
It suggests a better extension than .iso, most of the time you just wait or hit enter, occasionally you press y and enter to accept the suggestion. I is only used if those don't work.
i have been using multi system ..still from the pendrive .com website . but after seeing this easy3boot really makes things a lot easier . i will give it a try

Yeah... another good reason that they should have kept annotations. I didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out a couple of days ago...6 months into the life of the video, haha.
I have a USB stick that plugs into my phone and the ISO files I download on my phone can be quickly copied to the usb stick, then plugged into a computer. This makes sure I have the most up to date version of the tool.
Great Job! Excellent presentation and VERY useful information. I have seen various versions of this type of software and have only recently tried to make a "universal key" USB. I wasn't aware that there were so many viable/working different solutions out there for this age-old problem. I just hit the 'subscribe' button, and will be looking forward to see what else you have to teach me. Best regards, Scott Edward Logan (Fellow G33k and System Distro Hopper)
IODD 2531 to mount and boot ISO files or if you want more, IODD 2541 like I have. Yes they cost a bit but the versatility goes far beyond this DIY method. Don't take this as me shitting on this method. I like it for those who are budget limited for PC repair tools.
The other upside to this is carrying a pendrive in your pocket rather than a 2.5 inch hdd. I carry my E2B drive on my keyring, so it's always with me. I can see the best use for IODD for an IT department to have on hand.
I've had a few people ask me about this, and I will do a video on this later. In the meantime, checkout Portableapps.com. That's where I've gotten most of my tools.
I'd also be quite intrigued to see what Scripts you've created/stored. At the moment I've only got the 'template' for the login scripts I use for my clients! :)
that is an amazing tip for everyone!! thank you for this video, nice editing and in general 10/10 you should have more subscribers and views for sure!! keep it up you got it all to boom.
It would be awesome to complete it with a Windows2Go Installation, so you could boot Linux and Windows with certain utilities installed and ready to run. Thanks a lot for the video. Now I'm sure I should buy one or two big storage USB's instead of multiple low storage ones. Way more practical.
You can add multiple WindowsToGo VHDs or partition images. Also LiveCD Linux ISOs (with persistence for many of them) or complete install Linux OS's in image partitions.
IDK if anyone mentioned this, because I'm too lazy to read all the comments, but at ~ 3:40 when you're copying your win & lin installer isos, you initiate 2 parallel copy operations. These won't probably actually execute in parallell, depending on the firmware of your device, but more than likely it'll queue up a fifo copy, BUT this can and will still result in file fragmentation. Some isos (linux mostly) won't boot in MBR BIOS mode when fragmented and will only boot by converting them to easy2boot's .imgptn format and booting into UEFI mode. (Or maybe I have it reversed.. maybe it's UEFI that can't be fragmented ..) in any case mucho problemos por soy. At that point you can try to defragment the drive, but it'll take forever and significantly decrease your MTBF on the USB stick. When your USB gets filled up with fragmented isos and you start getting errors, I highly recommend taking the hit and copying EVERYTHiNg off, reformatting, and then copying your files back on into their correct folders .. in series. Cheers. 😁😷 (gosh I sure hope this wasn't a duplicate comment. I hate that! 🤪)
You are correct, starting two downloads to the USB drive will result in fragmented files. Also, copying will be slower because large block transfers can't be used and so it is inefficient. It is always best to download the ISOs to your internal hard drive first and then copy them to the USB drive. This also means you have a backup copy of the ISO on your hard drive. P.S. If you copy the ISOs to the E2B folder that was made on your Desktop into the correct menu folder, you can quickly create E2B drives complete with all ISOs by just running Make_E2B.exe from the Desktop E2B folder. Because the drive is freshly formatted, all files should be contiguous too.
Ventoy is easier to setup and for modern computers. Easy2Boot is more on compatibility with the older computer system with support for modern computers.
Having tried a lot of them, I've found the biggest headache is systems that won't boot off a modern USB3.0 drive or too high a capacity one. Finally sucked up and got an IODD virtual CD enclosure and stuck a SSD in it...now I can click thru and force it to appear as a plain old USB2.0 CD-ROM/Floppy/USB drive or a USB3.0 CD-ROM/Floppy/USB drive. It seems to work more reliably on fussy BIOS.
Low Dough Tech I use Ventoy, just preparing the usb and once done, drop all iso's . I have installed windows and Linux versions but haven't tried any tools.
I've got a 64Gb one with all my tools on it and it's been a favourite in the office where i work(an IT Support office). Don't know why my colleagues don't just make one, they just use mine. I keep it updated, all the Windows 10 installs are the latest, even my Windows 7 install has the updates pre-installed and while out of support it still comes in handy for companies who run outdated stuff and refuse to upgrade. Windows10 32bit and 64bit Windows7 32bit and 64bit Clonezilla Medicat(amazing look it up) Boot Repair x64(again amazing) Kali (Never needed it but it's there) Kaspersky Rescue CD Bitdefender Rescue CD ... Some other anti-virus rescue as well cant remember the name. Love my Easy2Boot USB, if I get sent somewhere for a PC that doesn't boot and forget my USB's i get anxiety it's that useful.
PERFECT! Not only did you feature LINUX as the test OS for this video but you also feature MY HP T5740E thinclients!! And Porteus Linux to boot! LOL! Brilliant!! This is nice software I hope I can use it in LINUX as I do not use Win10

I have dropped all technical work in favor of coding but this is really handy. I used to use a freemium piece of software called SARDU that had a nice windows GUI to download & add ISOs to your usb stick. The end result looked pretty similar.
If you are still using Putty go give Bitvise a try. It's a lot nicer to use believe me! And for home use it's free, you can open multiple terminal windows if you need to and sftp is built in. You can also save profiles you regularly connect to. This is a lot better than using something like Rufus though. One thing that I do though is I will install a copy of Linux and Windows to a USB drive. Anything over 16GB will work and if I want to test a computer out with things or have a ghost pc where I effectively leave no trace of use I will just boot from the USB drive and do what I need to do. It's great if you get ahold of used stuff and want to poke around as well, just boot up linux and see what is there. I have a ix104C5 that was given to me and the thing has hated the rufus created boot drives so going to give this a shot and see if I can actually install linux on the thing because it sucks with windows 10
Very vague. Could you do a rundown for “the common user” that is trying to fix windows bcs a restore is not working? I mean windows installation and steps for saving, running and why? Please!

"Get her done" alllllllmost annoyed me. Then I noticed that was Ray Stevens in the picture and realized it was his attempt at the "Goku is the best Pokemon trainer" picture of Yugi meme.
I use a IODD2531 with a 512GB ssd inside. Just drop ISO files in it and select which one you want, it then emulates a DVD-drive with that ISO as the disc inside. Works perfect. Had this thing for like four years now I think. no problems whatsoever
E2B can be added to an IODD drive. Then you can also have linux ISOs with persistence, Install Windows from ISO using an XML file for adding in a Product Key, semi-automation or complete automation with drivers+apps, install XP with Mass Storage drivers for RAID\SCSI\SATA drivers direct from unmodified XP ISO, UEFI Secure boot to some Linux ISOs which don't have UEFI boot files, boot to FreeDOS with NTFS file access to the USB drive to run DOS apps, boot to image files (e.g. fully installed linux + swap partition), directly boot to .wim files, boot to .dmg files, hack a Windows system using the automated Utilman XML, etc. www.easy2boot.com/make-an-easy2boot-usb-drive/using-e2b-with-a-zalman-ve200/
E2B is the shit! IT Professional who has been using it for years. Legacy as well as UEFI boot support awesome! Small learning curve and some effort to get your magic USB key tweaked just how you want it, but by far it is my most used and valued IT tool. It does EVERYTHING! from boot 20+ year old floppy images with tools on them all the way up through installing any Windows or Linux based OS's as well as today's Linux based boot tool .ISO's. Where has this been all my life.... Wish I knew this existed back when I was a kid
I like to have hddllf (a low-level formatting tool) as a doomsday recovery aid.
God bless I love you for this video. I have been struggling fighting a corrupted HP factory OEM partition as a side project for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will get the job done that I needed without going into a long story.
I wish i could buy you a beer.
Thanks...but I don't drink! Just leave a thumbs up instead. :D
@@LowDoughTech 1,000 miles ahead of you there!
As a funny side note: I don't drink either! 🤣 I would legit share this mean pot of coffee though!
It suggests a better extension than .iso, most of the time you just wait or hit enter, occasionally you press y and enter to accept the suggestion. I is only used if those don't work.
Ah, that's good to know! I've only ever used .iso's, and I'm impatient, so I've never waited. Thanks for the tip!
my god.... you really are a lifesaver!! love the part where you only need to put the iso. This thing is easier than rufus!!!!
Just clicked this video randomly after learning about rufus. Never had such luck in my entire life
I like that you can add tools/applications to this drive. I’m not sure if you can do that in Ventoy.
i have been using multi system ..still from the pendrive .com website . but after seeing this easy3boot really makes things a lot easier .
i will give it a try
I am using this for a year now and I am so happy with it :) it made my pro life easier
Hiren's Boot is still does most of the things and next to it i just need a win10 installer.
Can you provide a link for download??

Thank you.
I had to set my usb stick separately for each os i wanted to install.
Now i cat set it up for multi propose os installations.
Very useful.
Thanks again for this tutorial.
Great little guide. The hiren boot CD of windows installers
Exactly why I placed hirens on mine
i think Ventoy is way better
I love this a must have in a domain Environment is hirens boot cd to unlock forgotten support accounts when PC was removed from AD
how did i not watched this before!😑 It's just amazing.
Veryyyyyyy useful for work and troubleshooting.thank you for making this video... Hats off.
Any Chance of getting a 'List' of all the applications you have in your Tools folder... your !Installer, and !Scripts folders look interesting :-)
Ventoy is also a good tool, kinda easier to use even, if anyone is interested
E2B includes Ventoy.
7:00 It's missing a "a" in PortableApps :)
Yeah... another good reason that they should have kept annotations. I didn't even notice it until someone else pointed it out a couple of days ago...6 months into the life of the video, haha.
Not only do you look a lot like one of my favourite actors (Roddie McDowell), this video is kick-ass! Love it. Have subscribed. Thank you!
I've never heard that before, but I can see it now.
Well....he did pay Cornelius as well as so many others 😊
It's cool and useful if you need more than one os
I have a USB stick that plugs into my phone and the ISO files I download on my phone can be quickly copied to the usb stick, then plugged into a computer. This makes sure I have the most up to date version of the tool.
ventoy is better and simple?
Best regards,
Scott Edward Logan (Fellow G33k and System Distro Hopper)
Glad it was helpful!
I'll try that, I appreciate your efforts
There is also a program called ventoy that works the same
IODD 2531 to mount and boot ISO files or if you want more, IODD 2541 like I have.
This is the best every. I use to flash ISO’s to a usb and change it based on what I needed it for. No more now! One Stick to Rule Them All!
is it possible that you can share your "tools" folder with us please.
I've had a few people ask me about this, and I will do a video on this later. In the meantime, checkout Portableapps.com. That's where I've gotten most of my tools.
@@LowDoughTech Portable apps is awesome.
When your USB gets filled up with fragmented isos and you start getting errors, I highly recommend taking the hit and copying EVERYTHiNg off, reformatting, and then copying your files back on into their correct folders .. in series. Cheers. 😁😷
(gosh I sure hope this wasn't a duplicate comment.
Because the drive is freshly formatted, all files should be contiguous too.
i just made one after watching this. I have 32 GB Pendrive to spare , though
Amazing job, you provided my old laprop a new life, thanks. Very usefull
There is one better: " VENTOY " The Final Solution USB .
That's been recommended by a lot of people. I plan on testing it out when I have time.
Ventoy is easier to setup and for modern computers. Easy2Boot is more on compatibility with the older computer system with support for modern computers.
@@LowDoughTech Y.U.M.M.Y USB Tool
Having tried a lot of them, I've found the biggest headache is systems that won't boot off a modern USB3.0 drive or too high a capacity one. Finally sucked up and got an IODD virtual CD enclosure and stuck a SSD in it...now I can click thru and force it to appear as a plain old USB2.0 CD-ROM/Floppy/USB drive or a USB3.0 CD-ROM/Floppy/USB drive. It seems to work more reliably on fussy BIOS.

Right on! E2B is excellent software.

Windows7 32bit and 64bit

Love my Easy2Boot USB, if I get sent somewhere for a PC that doesn't boot and forget my USB's i get anxiety it's that useful.
PERFECT! Not only did you feature LINUX as the test OS for this video but you also feature MY HP T5740E thinclients!! And Porteus Linux to boot! LOL! Brilliant!! This is nice software I hope I can use it in LINUX as I do not use Win10

I also have a video on those HP Thin Clients here - ua-cam.com/video/xk_dgmCaHMc/v-deo.html
I have dropped all technical work in favor of coding but this is really handy. I used to use a freemium piece of software called SARDU that had a nice windows GUI to download & add ISOs to your usb stick. The end result looked pretty similar.
I like a program called Glary Utilities. Has lots of useful stuff built in.
I installed the easy boot from another site until Is saw your video but there's new tool called ventoy it can work perfectly then e2b
thank you for your knowledge.
The answer to your question is YES! I am looking for a way to consolidate all my install tools. THANK YOU.
Nice! I'll check it out!
Can you show a detail of some of the tools and how you used them? Please?
Very vague. Could you do a rundown for “the common user” that is trying to fix windows bcs a restore is not working? I mean windows installation and steps for saving, running and why? Please!
That would be a completely unrelated topic. This has nothing to do with Windows repair or installation.
Yeah shut up
Ordered a stick just for that, it should arrive Saturday, I'll try it out, if it works, it'll be a lifesaver! Thanks!
