By the way, considering you're doing thunder, lightning, and radiant damage, gloves of belligerent skies is a good holdover until act 3. You get them near the end of Creche Y'llek. Your magic missile should start knocking enemies prone
@@jonathanvanhijfte81 just confirmed it, doesn't work only in honor mode. There, it explicitly says "your allies". In tactician works on everyone and everything apparently (was able to use it even on astral "planecaster" in creche lmao)

I'm not even doing all this tricky stuff and my storm sorcerer is already very powerful at L6. Haste on yourself, then Twin Spell a Lightning bolt ... twice. If they are standing in water or blood, all that damage is doubled. it just melts most bosses. Very fun. This game is absolutely amazing at all the ways it can be played. Maybe the greatest game of all time.
just one thing: You can (and probably should) multiclass one level into warlock (fiend) to grab the spell 'command', that you can upcast to hit up to 6 enemies (not undead). You can use it with the extended spell metamagic to make the command last for two turns. It may not grant you free crits, but it's concentration-less, plus you can use it for various different effects, from dropping weapons, fleeing, approaching, grovel or halt. also, there's a dagger you can get from a certain enemy in act 3 that will give you +3 to attack rolls, spell dc, and damage rolls, being your best weapon for your offhand, instead of the spellsparkler.
Hey! Just make an OP build for Wyll, it focus on the helm that increase arcane acuity after hitting with weapon, the ring that allows to cast as bonus action any spell from ilusion or enchantment and pact of the blade. Hit with a weapon, if you don't have 100 chance to hold, hit again. You can even use the fright from a crit + fear to paralyze everyone. I call it the Eldritch Horror

I'd love to see an Ice version of this build, considering a lot of the items you used for the Ice Bow build seem to fit well with an Ice sorcerer build.
If this is designed to crit thanks to hold person or monster.. a dip into pact of fiend warlock could he useful for the comand spell and eldrich blast for a force based attack cantrip. Why command? Because its a cheap level 1 spell that doesn't take concentration. So you can control more enemies while still concentrating on hold person and the like. It also lets you deal with fire immune enemies if chain lightning doesnt kill, but then again magic missle can do the trick. I think its an option worth mentioning tho
I think you could make this even more broken by multi classing paladin theres is a staff that gives you a free thunderous smite and if you main hand that and cast divine smite which counts as a spell it still procs thunder damage which you can cast as a level 1 spell or you could start with shatter to build your AA stacks just like you did with fire ball you could also wear heavy armor on this one too plus you can get infinite smites abusing angelic potions and sorc points.
So... I just took out Myrkul in 1 round with this build (with a little help). Warlock Darkness/blinded it, I had the Shrieking Sword going, Karlach with a 3 levels of BattleMaster Fighter disarmed him (got lucky, there), and I Quickened Spelled a level 5 Magic Missile barrage (8 missiles with the Psychic Spark), then a level 4 barrage (7 more missiles) in one turn, and with all the damage riders took him out on that one round. INSANELY INSANE!

with haste you don't really need it. One cast of rays builds enough acuities for almost anything (cast second one for +10) and then quicken/enchant ring any CC. Extended command (warlock 1lvl dip) if you are concentrating on haste and anything else if someone else is providing it. Imo risky ring is better for a melee character and definitely not for the haste caster with already a stupid chance to hit things
@@elion4245 Yes, but you can use the helmet that gives you another bonus action after dealing fire damage with the ring, so you can do another quicken spell.
@@TheChaddisBack oh, that's a viable use, yeah, especially with risky ring. Still, I prefer acuities. Your video seems deferent now 👍or maybe I'm just crazy. It's a fun build
Sorlock is better in my opinion. I can knock out Act 3 bosses with just a cantrip! By adding electricity and reverberation to an agonizing Eldritch Blast, the reverberation and electricity create thunder as well, knocking Act 3 bosses prone. The Eldritch Blast is spammable, allowing one to save many spells for crowd control. A fire sorcerer is useless against bosses that have fire immunity (elemental adept only removes resistance, not immunity), and there are many of them. Scorching Ray can quickly deplete a fire sorcerer's spell slots. Just go with Sorlock! Instead of fly with level 11 dragon sorcerer, I use magical darkness instead if need protection, not many foes can see in magical darkness.
How do you cast magic missile twice in the first turn? The shriek is an action, and you say do that first. So the bonus action would require quickened spell, but that allows you to cast it once. Am I missing something?

Your video clearly shows you’re not wasting any spell slots at all (mods), so sadly it’s good in theory as lvl 12 respec at the end of the game when you’ve collected l these items after 100 hours of play.
This is a problem with a lot of these UA-cam builds. So many of them rely on late act 2/act 3 gear so it makes you like have to play differently through the game than the build advertised. I can totally see a fire mage being viable early on but I’d do it differently than this.

I've noticed this too. Though action economy is tough with phalar alive. Shriek costs an action then you'll need your bonus for level 3 quicken. It's viable for sure early on but not as advertised without some serious resource management

@@henriquealves5740 I did watch the whole video. You eventually change to a single fire spell to build up acuity but it's still effectively all about stacking random damage riders(not fire) and capitalizing on hold person(not fire). It's not a "fire sorcerer" by any means.
You said you had text version of it in your discord, but the discord link in your video description is broken, could you update the link so I could check out the text one to follow along with?
Noob question. Spells can be casted limited amount od times... Then long rest... Tedious... Second thing, illusion is more often than not totally ignored by enemies. Am I mising something here?
someone please help me if i'm missing something super obvious, but where are you getting that many actions from? example at 12:25 no haste no speed active as seen on the left, but you're able to do hold person and scorching ray, but neither action nor bonus action nor spell slots (nor sorcerer points) are being used up? i'm confused, that would be something i'd have missed so far, how are you just not using up any ressources, without that the build is way weaker?
There is bo consideration of this. You can easily make scorching ray + hold person in one turn, and then continue scorching or other attack roll spells/cantrips. Unlimited spellslots and other stuff makes it significantly faster for me to capture footage for videos
@@TheSpudKing ahh, so it's a mod or something just while filming? so in game you'd just do speed or haste from someone else or potion? and i guess long rest a lot? :D

I've noticed this too. Though action economy is tough with phalar alive. Shriek costs an action then you'll need your bonus for level 3 quicken. It's viable for sure early on but not as advertised without some serious resource management
Congratulations, you've got a new sub just because of the song 16:43 (would've subbed either way). I was running a worse version of this build for MC, but it's still op, just not that OP
What is that hat your char is wearing at 0:34? Looks super cool
Just simply amazing, could this work on 2 dip in Warlock?
:) it will and basically coming soon for ultimate dark urge build
Sweet!! Looking forward to it
12:07 How many staks of Arcane Acuity? With 6 staks I got only 19 spel save DC, and it's already hard to get so many staks, because wooden barrels are not everywhere+ it requires spell slots.
One upcasted fire ray gives 10 stacks
@@TheSpudKing Upcasted to level 3 or 4? And do I have to shot each ray on different target, or just one barrel is enough?
Yes! i love fire.
Best channel about builds ever!
craterwound gloves work with ray of fire? they add 1d6 force on crits
Yeah, 1d6 instead of 1d8 from spellmight thought, but force damage is good choice! :) and they will add 2d6 actually (because of crit)
At the end of the video you say how you covered the unlimted spelllslots, but where can i find this info please?
there is bunch of ways , here youll see chapter with right timecode -> ua-cam.com/video/1xb5Uj6alfI/v-deo.html
@@TheSpudKing Thanks
It looks like Spellsparkler doesn't work with magic missile now (only 1 charge per cast).
just tried it on honor mode, and got a charge per dart
Think I might try this, going to go Githyanki for race though for med armor and greatsword for early game damage using a str pot so I don't have to rest much.
You can also add drakethroat glaive enchantment right?
It won't affect magic
This really didn't have to much to do with being a fire sorcerer. It's a 'magic missile with whatever damage riders you can combine' sorcerer
Tell me that you didn't saw the whole video, without telling me that you didn't saw the whole video
@@henriquealves5740 I did watch the whole video. You eventually change to a single fire spell to build up acuity but it's still effectively all about stacking random damage riders(not fire) and capitalizing on hold person(not fire). It's not a "fire sorcerer" by any means.
@@roninvince majority of the damage comes from scorching ray though????
This build looks so much fun, will definitely have to try it out on a future playthrough
Any credit for Lineage 2 ost ?
I couldn't help but notice the Githyanki patrol's health pool. What difficulty are you playing whilst making this guide?
You said you had text version of it in your discord, but the discord link in your video description is broken, could you update the link so I could check out the text one to follow along with?
Tested it, should work fine
@@TheSpudKing I figured it out, user issue on my end... thanks though.
Sempre com builds divertidas e poderosas!
Thx for a nice build! let's go try it! )
Noob question. Spells can be casted limited amount od times... Then long rest... Tedious... Second thing, illusion is more often than not totally ignored by enemies. Am I mising something here?
Spells -> as with any other spellcaster. Illusion -> its not, only few enemies in act1 ignore it, otherwise its best setup spell
someone please help me if i'm missing something super obvious, but where are you getting that many actions from? example at 12:25 no haste no speed active as seen on the left, but you're able to do hold person and scorching ray, but neither action nor bonus action nor spell slots (nor sorcerer points) are being used up? i'm confused, that would be something i'd have missed so far, how are you just not using up any ressources, without that the build is way weaker?
There is bo consideration of this. You can easily make scorching ray + hold person in one turn, and then continue scorching or other attack roll spells/cantrips. Unlimited spellslots and other stuff makes it significantly faster for me to capture footage for videos
@@TheSpudKing ahh, so it's a mod or something just while filming? so in game you'd just do speed or haste from someone else or potion? and i guess long rest a lot? :D
@@esther5663I recomend using Haste + Bloodlust Elixir for extra action after slaying a foe (Do not use Ilithid Power: Cull the Weak, or else Bloodlust will not proc)
You can use metamagic Quicken, so you can cast 4 spells in one turn
Normal action + Haste + Bloodlust + Quicken
What if I missed the spellsparkler staff? I took the bow 😢😢
Is there any good alternative?
Markoheshkir in act3
I killed the ox already in the grove... and I didn't keep the hat 🥲
sry to ask, but which boots would be good? maybe i missed it or he didnt say it.
Any. One that drops from nere is good, with misty step
I missed spellsparkler. Is there a replacement?
Sadly it's preety unique. Only markoheshkir in act3 can do almost same effect
This is very unfortunate. I'm not a big fan of turn based gameplay but I like everything else on this game. That's why I was looking for a op broken brain dead build, that trivialise any fights so I can enjoy the rest of the game with a high charisma Charakter
Will this also work on creature who have fire resistance
Theres not alot of them, if playing solo, need to be creative 😉 and if enemies become stones, who cares
How did you not spend any spell slots on your video? I paid attention but I can not figure out what you did.
I can't find any cows and the inn is empty due to the moonrise events. Is this normal? Why the cows disappeared?
If you finished moonrise, then cow will be in first location of act3 , but im not sure if he still drops hat
@ im gonna check there thx 🙌🏻
The hat of Fire Acuity is one of the most broken items in the game. Hope it will be fixed in one of the next patches.
Hope not, but its really broken ;)
This or Sorlock?? For my 1st play
I like pure sorcery, but sorlock also fun. Roll the dice
So im not proficient with the sword at level 4. how did you end up being able to use it and still cast spells? I don't know if you are playing the same version as I am. please let me know
Sword in off hand, not main
wait, why are you not using any spell slots when casting Confusion?
mods, the gameplay displayed in the video is not accurate at all to the game
how are you not loosing spell slots when you cast?
Not proficient with phalar aluve?
So im in honor mode and the lady died off screen after i long rested... What do i do? 😂
Which lady? xD
@@TheSpudKing The one that gives you the spell sparkler staff, the noble lady
if you're in honour mode, that's the one where you can't reload saves right? if so then you're screwed, there's no other way to get the staff and if she's dead that's it.
Yep, that lady is must have clear just after blighted village in honor mode. Staff is way too good and "rescue" is not dangerous as long as you kick the front doors
@@Kogobean 🙃
How do you fight Raphael or the titan with this build?
Control spells will still be op. And you can use aconist oil to make them vulnerable to fire
you cant stack more than 2 acuity... it was nerfed probably.
Looks like it was nerfed) but still pretty nice build.
No, its perfectly fine ;)
love the fact that you go so much in detail on your builds worth subscribing
hi, dont you need proficiency with longswords? so race choice is not irrelevant, or am i missing something?
No, since we're not attacking with it, and song is not "skill"
@@TheSpudKing ahhhh i see, very nice! tyty
Nice snatch cut 😂
So how do you fight Raphael with this build?
u cradle his balls and work his shaft
@@giraffeorganic spam magic missle and destroy him?
