I bought my first folding Sims Stove in Wyoming, USA in 1986. We use them for cooking and heat on 20 plus mile pack trips I to the high country on horses. They have kept us very warm and fed for all these years. Anywhere from -40f through way too hot for a stove. I used to make tortillas from scratch and made more than I can remember of breakfast burritos with Italian ground sausage, onion, potatoes and eggs… fajitas are the best and easiest camp food out there other than a giant pot of stew. Great video sir.
I like the silent ones I suffer from autism and sometimes after a long day when I watch UA-cam the silent ones relax the mind and appreciate it when you do these and help with the relaxation of mental health and for this I thank you
You can also turn down the volume and turn on the caption ....which I do a lot ....I cannot deal with those channels where the host talks none stop from beginning to end ......
@TheMTB Trailcook Eric Normark is another good non-speaking You Tuber. The only time he might say anyting is if he does a video specific to some of the gear he uses. But most of his videos are indeed silent.
Andy, you have become my favorite outdoor UA-cam channel. I always feel like you’re talking just to us. Love your photography and editing. I know it’s a lot of work, but it pays off. Please keep it up.
Thanks for mentioning my channel 👍 I wasn't expecting it but do really appreciate it m8👍 sorry to hear about your trousers and Hopefully we will see the lavvu out soon 👍keep the videos coming as we all really enjoy them .
I really don’t know how I would relax and sleep at night without your videos. I absolutely love them. I’ve also tried many of your techniques while camping. Thank you!!
I put paracord loops thru lavuu then pegs, it lifts it a bit off the mud too if needed. Simon has modded his to perfection with a sewn on zip and groundsheet. Ask him to do ya trousers while he’s at it. Lol
Don’t listen to the ones that think all your videos should be talkies. Take a break and enjoy yourself. Thats what camping is all about. Patty from Tulsa, OKLAHOMA USA
Great video Andy.... You're a real old boy scout. You get nature in a big way and are completely respectful to the ways of the outdoors. Brings me back to my scouting days in Ireland 👍
I was one those who have complained that you were completely silent last week 😁!! I like to hear you explaining things, how you do things etc... Even still feeling a bit sad because you refused to give us bushcraft lessons. 😆
haha, didnt get sick of my voice in this one then? ;) Sorry, check out Greecraft on UA-cam, very knowledgeable bush crafter, all I do is cook bacon lol
Delicious! The best thing I have learned from watchiong your videos is that you can eat great food and dishes made from fresh produce instead of having to eat out of a can. You make it so simple for us beginners. Thank you! I love how you put everything back where you make camp the same way you found it.
“Mister Bloke in The Woods” seems like a pretty nice guy! :) A pretty cool trick I’ve seen a couple of time now, and one that I use when hot tenting, is to drive a couple of taller stakes inside the tent in front of the stove to keep me and or my gear from rolling into the stove at night. Might seem a bit inconvenient, but not nearly as inconvenient as watching your sleeping bag melt.
Always looking forward to a new video from you, Andy. They always make me want to go out and camp (but it’s minus 12 around here right now). I like how you introduce new gear without becoming obsessed about it. I always like to learn new recipes from you. Keep on the good work!
Hello Andy, just love the sound of rain on the tent there. I have great anticipation for your woodland craft videos, what you did with the wood shed was awesome, as well as the use of tools and wooden implements to help you. I bought a couple of books on the subject so really am quite interested in it all. I just finished making a saw horse (sort of one!). Good fun, I had real trouble with the stabilisation of it, needed to put in cross supports and that seemed to help. The irony is while constructing it I put my back out, I say irony becasue I was making it so I could saw while standing and save bending over! Loved the story about the trousers, good for a laugh that was, nice one, cheers.
Andy, great video once again! I like the way you constantly strive to add new content to keep us entertained. The diversity you show us is welcoming and enjoyable. Not generally a fan of silent videos, but found myself enjoying your previous vids enormously. It was a refreshing change and testament your commitment to adding new content. Thank you.
We absolutely love watching your trips, very calming at night too, we like to get outdoors as much as we can and your vids have really helped us out through the lockdowns, thank you for taking the time to make them
Love to watch both this channel and Lone Wolf 902. Never done any of this, but will start in my backyard... Once I learn to light a fire the same way you guys do, I'll try tenting in the woods.
Andy, love your videos. Is it possible to explain/demonstrate slower how exactly you tie the tripod together? I'm sure it's pretty simple, but maybe other slow learners like me would enjoy it. Thanks very much for the wonderful content!
Of course he has 😂😂🥫 oh Andy that story at the beginning gave me a good chuckle ... needed that 😉 glad you came back the next day and tried again 👍🏼I really like the tripod instead of the pole....like you said.. less restrictive . I enjoy your silent and talking videos..... you just do you!
Andy, Not to forget and never walk away. From your glove box in your motor requires a good stitching box, I have one, went for my fabric measuring tape recently. The plastic box is 1/3 shoebox, containing all stich stuff scissors, knife, cord, pins, needles etc. Cheers.
I rather like that teepee style set up. Not only is it less restrictive inside, as you say, I like the way it looks! Not sure what the big deal is with folks who think ketchup is somehow awful! I love ketchup with certain things! And I also believe we should all eat whatever we love! I've been making my own mayonnaise for a few years now and someone told me I should make my own ketchup too! Oh BTW I don't mind when you do a silent video, but I AM glad you don't do them exclusively. I like it when my favorite outdoors bushcrafters/campers talk to me. LOL! Thanks for sharing Andy! Cheers!!
Thank you for sharing. I love that stove. I have that same lantern but in a Dietz..... I love the vibe the thing puts out. So much better than a mantle lantern. I wish I could feel comfortable camping around here with a similar tent but with so many poisonous snakes plus the potential for heavy rain...I can't bring myself to try it. It would be a good experience to be flat out on the earth.
Your videos are so calming that I go to sleep every time when it's playing.... I just love it. Have said this so many times before, but still again. Keep up the good work. 🙏🙏
I enjoy watching your videos. I watch every one you do. The format is really good to me and you seem to be enjoying your experience in the woodlands. I’m looking forward to your cabin built. Keep up the good work
my other half has a sleep therapy app with the sounds of waves ect. none of them worked but when i made her go camping she never slept as good as the sound of rain on a tent.
I really enjoyed that! I like how you use the tree supports on your tent, you avoid the center pole and it’s safer for you in case of dropping branches. That little chair is so handy, would you ever use a low collapsible cot? Nice fire, a little rain shower and great meals all makes a nice camping video Take care until the next video 🇨🇦 🔥 ⛺️
Just make a Steak from a hearty Branch with another branch coming off it, cut the V Branch 1" then sharpen the end and Pound it in, with the 1" V into the tent ring ! 🥴✌️
Andy, I really like the long videos, while camping and cooking and building. Been a subscriber for a while now and seen all your videos. This video was one of the bests!
Another good one Andy and thanks for the other youtuber links. I follow 2 Aussie youtubers: Fire to Fork is mainly cooking from the back of a 4wd set up for that purpose. There’s a lot of good gear from down under. The other is Scotty’s Gone Walkabout.
Quick tip with the Lavvu, tie off some paracord loops through the eyelets instead. Then you can use the paracord to make improvised wooden pegs. Great channel love you vids talking or asmr silent.
Loved that I got a hot tent for Christmas 🎄 whoop whoop then we get locked down lol finally got my stove today doing my first burn 🔥 while watching this keep up the good work
Hi Andy, watching the video now. You should feed paracord through the eyelits, give you more room to play with. That is what I do with my lavvu. Great content, keep up the good work 👍
Hot tenting yeah right. Again greetings from Finland. Weathers you cope with there in UK are the most hated in Finland. From zero to 10C is the worst in the military, zero to -5C are preferred by all :) No moisture, makes life easier. Even in hot tents. Those are a must up here - no matter how good a commando you are you must sleep somewhere and sometime in a warm place.
Hey, it is very wet down here at the moment haha, send me some snow... the north has had plenty :p really wanted to travel more in Scandinavia last year, hopefully again soon.
I don't how or why this was in my recommended - but I really liked it. It made me feel really quite relaxed. Something about being close to nature. Nice to see some Tommy-K on the breakfast! Cheers!
Another fantastic programme Andy!!! Such a genuinely lovely bloke! I have to admit, I was a bit shocked when only 2 sausages went in the pan, not like you at all!!! 😆😆✌️✌️
Can't beat a good trouser malfunction had a pair of brand new trousers split and go outdoors replaced then as only a couple of weeks old but I always feel nervous wearing them now. Be good to see your log cabin I have just built one, just finishing the roof off and sorting a bunk and table ,I've made my own wood burner to put in it as well Nice work as usual Andy 🍻
Andy, it’s your channel, do what you see fit. Talk, don’t talk. Ketchup, no ketchup. I’m watching regardless. 😊
Thanks alot bro🤙 its always nice to get outdoors in the hot tent, appreciate the support too .🐺🇨🇦
Hey Bud, no probs, well deserved :D Thanks for watching!

who doesn't have autism at this point
You can also turn down the volume and turn on the caption ....which I do a lot ....I cannot deal with those channels where the host talks none stop from beginning to end ......
Whether you speak or not it's all good, you're putting out awesome content. Thank you from the USA!

The ever-appearing chopping stump always makes me smile ;)
Love your videos before I sleep at night, and first in the morning. Thank you.
Thanks for mentioning my channel 👍 I wasn't expecting it but do really appreciate it m8👍 sorry to hear about your trousers and Hopefully we will see the lavvu out soon 👍keep the videos coming as we all really enjoy them .
no probs buddy haha, was one of those days, ill add loops to the eyelets on the lava as some have suggested and get back out in it :)
I'd love to have this opportunity whenever I wanted time out. What a bloke
Exactly what i want.
This is one of the most relaxing things i've whatched online.
Keep support...
Thanks buddy :D
Same 🔥😎👍
I really don’t know how I would relax and sleep at night without your videos. I absolutely love them. I’ve also tried many of your techniques while camping. Thank you!!
Andy, it doesn't matter how many of your videos I watch or how many times I watch them, its always a pleasure.
Camping, cooking, talking. Thats more like it! As soon as spring hits, I'm going camping. As always Andy, nice chill and inspiring video.
I put paracord loops thru lavuu then pegs, it lifts it a bit off the mud too if needed. Simon has modded his to perfection with a sewn on zip and groundsheet. Ask him to do ya trousers while he’s at it. Lol

Yay!!! You’re talking to us !!!! I find your voice soothing. Thanks!
haha, thanks Cynthia.. im back :p
Glad your back talking ....

haha, didnt get sick of my voice in this one then? ;) Sorry, check out Greecraft on UA-cam, very knowledgeable bush crafter, all I do is cook bacon lol
my 2 favourite things, watching the flames of a fire dance and flicker and listening to rain at night
Oh please continue talking, you are so relaxing to hear and I love hearing you explain things as you do them.😊
Its unbelievably relaxing watching your videos. Reminds me of all my camping adventures with my dad growing up.
Thanks Andy dude 👍 love watching you from Cardiff

I quite like the silent videos. It's fun figuring out what you're building without you telling me.
I could listen to rain on a tent for hours. Rain on a tent, car windows/roof or gazebo is alsways nice.
I did sleep well that night
How can anyone dislike your video’s they calm me and are my escape after a long day
Wow this hot tent camping looks super-easy, barely an inconvenience at all...
Faijita wrap and the breakfast wrap looked awsome, I also have the Leviathan 900 sleeping bag its warm 👍 Cheers Andy. Lee
You again! ;) haha, it seems everyone in the UK has the Leviathan now (I just jumped on the bandwagon) so cosy
I love hearing the rain on the tent
Love to watch both this channel and Lone Wolf 902. Never done any of this, but will start in my backyard... Once I learn to light a fire the same way you guys do, I'll try tenting in the woods.

I’m from Kent. Glad to see a Brit doing one. I do watch the Alaskan one and Canadian ones.
Cheers Mary :D thanks for watching
Hola Kent.Disfruto ver cómo preparas tus alimentos.Muchas gracias.Abrazo fuerte desde México.

You are so knowledgeable and love that smile. Thank you for all you do.

My vision is failing, I appreciate your commentary.
Hi Andy a very nice over night camp simple and enjoyable. Thank you.
Lone wolf 902 and your camping channel are the only camping 🏕 channels I watch you are both very good
The Australian ones good they do 4x4 and cooking 4x4 24/7
I like it better when you are talking. I watch the videos late at night and they help me to sleep.
Your videos are a welcome addition after my stressful work day 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 thanks Andy
Your videos are so calming that I go to sleep every time when it's playing.... I just love it. Have said this so many times before, but still again. Keep up the good work. 🙏🙏
Silence is golden too
That medley of colors in that skillet, looked so yummy.
👌👍😅😎. I imagine that brand of trousers are now on the don't buy again list 😁, I've had some like that over the years too 🤣.
haha, they are solognac ones and I generally love there stuff but this particular design just doesn't seem to work... not for me anyway haha
Marvelous, Andy! ♥️
I always enjoy your camps. So relaxing and always something delicious to eat. Thank you so much.
Such a peaceful area to camp, love these videos.
I enjoy watching your videos. I watch every one you do. The format is really good to me and you seem to be enjoying your experience in the woodlands. I’m looking forward to your cabin built. Keep up the good work
I love these longer camp videos.
thank you :)

Nice fire, a little rain shower and great meals all makes a nice camping video
Take care until the next video 🇨🇦 🔥 ⛺️
I am now enjoying going out to the woods.....in all weathers, no more excuses so relaxing......top man !
Andy thank you for this lovely video. Its so healing to watch them. Please keep them coming.
Nice camp out you should put a thermometer in the tent and out side so we can see the difference 👍
Thank you Mr Kent welcome back. Me and hubby love your video. Thank you thank you
So satisfying seeing the smoking chimney on a fire you've just lit.
Lovely....just pure man and nature...not much to ask for...thank you for uploading !
Just make a Steak from a hearty Branch with another branch coming off it, cut the V Branch 1" then sharpen the end and Pound it in, with the 1" V into the tent ring ! 🥴✌️
watching these videos is a great escape from the current world. Keep it up!
Andy, I really like the long videos, while camping and cooking and building. Been a subscriber for a while now and seen all your videos. This video was one of the bests!
Thank you very much Brandon :)

You're a positive guy.
Greetings from backward Poland.
Thank you :) Id love to go explore Poland :)
I can't believe it looks like it's still fall over there, it's -17 here in northern Canada.
Das rite ! Don’t forget that ketchup ! On those eggs! Great video. Always look forward to the ketchup drizzle. Slow mo drizzle next time ! Cheers 🍻

I'm glad someone is able to campout in these strange times.
DayGlo is acceptable inside, it's outside I have an issue with :)
Lone wolf 902, awesome guy. Been watching his channel for quite some time now. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Something funny. When you light the fire for the night. You shake out match before putting it in the stove 😜☺️😉 lol. Good one
Lonewolf902… Jeremy is soo nice lol he is awesome! NO weather stops him
Me Too my back yard is some 300km + I live in Canada. And I don't live in a 4X4 room with mom :) It takes me 6hrs to get a Big City Calgary Alb.
Kind of you to mention other vloggers! 💕💕
Building and woodcrafting videos ahead hell yeah bring on spring and summer I hate winter awsome video 👍👍👍
I've been watching your video for about two weeks and I really enjoy them especially your cooking 🙂🙂

Another fantastic programme Andy!!!

I appreciate everything that you do;)
thank you, I appreciate you watching :)
Nice one Andy, hot tent looked cosy and warm and food looked super tasty and your strides held out as well, bonus ;-)
Woop woop talking! Get to hang out with my mate Andy! 👍 cheers for the upload.
I don’t watch the silent ones because they put me to sleep but you do what you want.
Love watching your videos. I also like Lonewolf 902. Both are my favs.
Thank you Angie
Can't beat a good trouser malfunction had a pair of brand new trousers split and go outdoors replaced then as only a couple of weeks old but I always feel nervous wearing them now.

Nice work as usual Andy 🍻
