- A night on the hills always does me good, this time I was joined by a few wild animals!
I plan on wild camping in all 15 of the UK's national parks, this time it was Dartmoor; 12 down 3 to go.

I live in Plymouth, right next to the moors and one of the best things I can say about Dartmoor is the wild ponies, watching them run together and just be free is so beautiful and their determination will never cease to amaze me.
Mate, I cannot tell you how happy I am to see another of your videos become available as I sit here with a broken leg (dreaming of long walks in the sun.) Your efforts are much appreciated, thank you.
Hope ur leg gets better soon mate!
@@amarjobanputra3506 - Thank you. I have had surgery, now I must just wait for time to do it's thing : )

Wishing you a speedy recovery, pal!
The love for Dartmoor is the one thing that people from Exeter and Plymouth can agree on
15:52 scared the hell out of me because I was almost falling sleep and I was wondering why liam was making those sounds, but it was the animal 🤣
Ain't no quim, like to party... Like the quim down in Darty!
Honestly dartmoor is my closets and favourite national Park happy to see this one

CHEERS LIAM , only recently found your vids , every one a gem , thanks for taking us with you.
Great video Liam. My stomping ground for 55 years. I first wild camped aged 13, walked solo Plymouth to Okehampton army camp and back the next day. Kids wouldn't be allowed these days. Been smitten ever since. It's a wonderful place to escape to. I think you're on Cosdon Hill, originally Cawsand Hill.
That is impressive you walked Plymouth to okehampton and back
It was different then. From age 5 walked everywhere, dad didn't have a car. Far fewer restrictions, fences, etc and considerably fewer cars. You would see a few farmers and the Marines out training and that was it. I camped between Yes Tor and the Army camp outside Okehampton in a 30 shilling Millets cotton pup tent.
Stayed at Okehampton army camp with cadets as a kid
Presume this is where we went out on night exercise good good times back in the 80s
That sunset was something else, never seen anything like that
I have been waiting for this episode as I live on the edge of Dartmoor. It was a great watch and I am glad you experienced Dartmoor weather as the weather changes so quick on Dartmoor.
you just wrote my reply almost word for word, saved me some time I suppose . I lived in Tavistock .
We use to do Dartmoor Ten Tors walk/camp as army cadet training being 60 miles in 30 days. When fog comes down u definitely need a compass 😂
3 days not 30
Hi there thank you so much for this I haven't been camping now for 3years due to cancer but now I'm on the way forward we want to take it up again. I have made cider chicken before but added cream to it lol, it's amazing it was meant to be pork but I didn't have any in the freezer. Keep going .xx
Found your channel recently and I've been binging your content, since I'm now on a gap year and want to travel a bit, you really inspired me to try out long distance hiking with camping. You're actually really close to my home town and I planned to backpack across devon as a start for this year! Keep up the awesomeness!
get yourself out there
i love watching your videos because Everytime I've watch it I've felt that your touring me in your beautiful country.
watching from Philippines while drinking beer 🍺🍻
Watching your videos really makes me appreciate the wonders of creation - thank you
Can't beat rice pudding!
Oh no he ate it cold. Guys mad
With a dollop of jam too.
@@trevorhill1577 definitely!!
Another awesome experience with you as our guide. Thanks Liam, bro!
I loved Ambrosia creamed rice when I was a wee lad!
Great video Liam
Absolutely adore Dartmoor and really chuffed to see it
Have you heard of ten tors?
It’s an army ran event where (school age) participants have to walk 35 miles on Dartmoor independently with a wild camp as well
Bro he's on dartmoor of course he's heard of ten tors😂
Oh dear, dear Liam. This is like a lung-filling thrust of fresh air. Cheers mate!
That last shot walking away into the distance, all I kept thinking was "maaaan hes gotta walk all the way back to get that camera" 🤣 Great video ! 👍
Another great watch. You've got it all. Info, you keep it fun. Down to earth, and how you slept with those cows around. Hats off to ya.
Yes Liam been waiting son nice1
Wow, looks great out there in Dartmoor! Beautiful views, so many lovely different green tones, and even horses on a hill, love that! The camp looks cozy as always and the food so delicious. You really know the rights spots for hiking and camping. I had a great time following you out here. Thanks a lot! Cheers, Mario
Grew up on Dartmoor, great place to live & takes up alot of Devon
Same I love it here
Man i hope i can get over my anxiety one day. I live about 9 miles from Dartmoor & have never done this.
Sorry for plying but anxiety of what?
@@clementclark many things. being away from home, dying, my own strength, others perspective of myself. to name a few for this situation.
It get's better brother, wasted 20 years of my life with anxiety & panic attacks. These days it's rare for me to panic over anything, and if I do, I accept it, and even welcome it like an old friend, with little to no emotional reaction it never bothers me, and subsides. You gotta get outside sir, as often as you can, and exercise as much as you're able, anxiety loves inactivity & boredom. If you can find her books I'd recommend Dr. Claire Weekes series on Anxiety, after trying every treatment & medication known to man (including anti-psychotics etc) Her books (and putting acceptance into practise) combined with exercise solved the majority of my issues. She was a very wise old bird, and well worth a read. And I can tell you from experience it's very difficult to be anxious, when you're physically exhausted from exersion. Wish you all the very best.
@@Grumpy-Bollocks thanks man. roughly 6 years in atm. getting out allot more lately & can attest that achey legs somehow does equate to less anxiety. i still have lots of mental work to do though, giving CBT another shot now. fingers crossed.
& thanks for the book recommendations. the last self help book i tried was "feel the fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jeffers. didn't really jive with me, but i suppose i could have tried harder with it.
happy you got out of it, best of luck in the future man.
@@Bill-lt5qf Maybe have a look into the Wim Hof breathing technique. All the best.
Your videos are my happy place when my mind gets too loud. Or when I can't sleep. Please keep it up 🙂
Another great video to watch lets go
You my freind are such an inspiration.
I have just finished the imber range perimeter path walked with freinds for charity and this has made me want to do it again!
Another great vid. Dartmoor looks like an alien world, it's so desolate and bleak, but at the same time really beautiful. Looking forward to your next video already, cheers
It wasn't always so bleak, it used to be woodland at one point.
There are some groups rewilding parts of Dartmoor to it's original state on a small scale, they even re-introduced beavers successfully.
Utterly love Dartmoor, some mixed memories of Foggin Tor but an incredible country park to wander around in or ride the mountain bike across!
Dartmoor 😍🙌
I love how enthusiastic Liam is.
Best channel!
Thanks again for a look at Dartmoor keep up the good work again can’t wait for the next one xx
NGL ur vids are just generally calming
lot's of cooking on this one ,i like to see that ,thank you so much for these am loving them all
Could watch your videos all day! You have a great personality and very inspiring! Thought gotta say I would absolutely s*** myself being woken up by cows being that close haha 😂😂😂
Liam for prime minister
I love watching these videos! They're so serene and grounding.
Hi from Tasmania Australia Liam - love your videos - amazing how you can find wild places where you don't see anyone else on your journey
A joy to watch Would love details about the location of your walk.Well constructed video by a charismatic guy.Don't forget midge protection for Scotland ; they can drive you mad.
Like your videos, no megga trek up mountains with all the latest gear to pitch in 10ft snow. Just a steady walk and a chilled pitch. The food looked awesome, in fact it looked so good I actually got up and made more or less the same🤣. 12 down 3 to go, looking forward to the Scottish trips👍
Ambrosia rice cold straight outta the fridge 😋
Beautiful views meal animals sunset beer 🍺 the animals love you Liam they feel your peaceful vibes thanks for sharing 😊
Your videos inspire me so much just to get outside, thank you.
I enjoy your hikes ty
Think I’ve caught up with all your videos after finding you in the last couple of weeks. So so good
Pleased to see a longer video this week LB! Those cans of rice pudding are better cold anyway 👍🏻 eagerly await the next national park, not many left 👏🏻
Hi mate, can’t believe you were literally on my doorstep, you started from my village! Hope you enjoyed our special part of Devon!
So much fun, i really enjoy watching your content. Cider chicken looked amazing!
Brilliant mate...just Brilliant 🥾🌏
Breathe in ,breathe out ! Yeah Dartmoor 🙂 horses sleep standing up Liam ,or lay down for REM sleep with one or two standing guard 🙂
They're Ponies not horses.
@@andyelliott8027 I meant in general 🙄horses, ponies they still stand up to sleep !
@@jacksg1809 True, I was just pointing out that they are not actually horses. They all sleep standing up and sometimes lying down too, that also applies to donkeys ( to answer the other comment).
That herd is a herd of actual purebred Dartmoor Ponies as far as I can see rather than the mixed ponies you’re more likely to see on Dartmoor, they’re as gentle and endearing as can be
Food looks great! I always get nervous with burners like the one you have, much prefer the kind with the can separated and the pot much closer to the ground. Much easier to shield against wind too.
Nice to hear the skylarks 👍
Just found your channel, Liam, & really enjoying your videos, so thank you. I’m old enough to be your mum but you are an inspiration!! Well done & please keep making the videos 😊
Jail ale on draft is really nice if you venture into princetown ..lots of forest areas on the outskirts of Dartmoor are good places to camp with fresh spring water
16:18 that is awesome
Your channel has grown so fast. I like watching haze outdoors but your subs has beat him all ready. Keep smashing it bro lv your passion
Great content mate, really appreciate the work you put into your videos. Brilliant. 👍
Love your channel and these types of videos specifically. As many others in your comments say, it’s definitely an inspiring insight into hiking/camping. Class mate, keep them coming!
Another great vid Liam never stop what you do..Much Respect from Tasmania.
I just joined today! I love to hike too... great video! Thanks for sharing!
Happy to see you on Dartmoor, I love hiking on the moors and have done Ten tors twice because of that
man i just love your videos, they always give me some feeling of exitement, as if i would do the journey by my one.
Cosdon Beacon has some amazing views on a clear day. Great video, been looking forward to this one.
Thank you so much for yet another brilliant video!! I really enjoyed this! So much beauty! Totally excellent keep up the good work!👍🏻👍🏻
Another great video Liam👌loving all the gourmets you do, love the simplicity of what you do.👍 Keep up the good work lad and looking forward to your vids in Scotland.
Everything, and I mean everything tastes better in the out of doors!!!
Love it mate
Just found your videos and I am LOVING them! Fantastic! Cheers beer from Australia!
Another amazing video bro! Loving the content❤️
Recently came across your videos, thoroughly enjoying, thank you.
Dartmoor sounds… wind and the skylarks… awesome
Watched your lands end walk really enjoy it great content thanks ...wish I was out there...great content
I think you may have dropped the ball Liam on the order your doing the parks as when you get up to Scotland your going to be hitting midge season and with the warm wet weather it could be bad , so don't forget a bug net mate , good luck .
Awesome scenery ...great channel
Really pleased you are now over a 100k...well done and well deserved. You are an inspiration.
That chicken 🐔 looked amazing...hungry now
Best meal and sunset yet!
Love these videos, but really like it every time you make dinner and have a little cook up! My favourite part 👍🏻
I did that a couple of months ago!!! Amazing trip
Bar far this video is one of my favorites
Look forward to see you in the South Downs
I walked there in 1967
Please keep them coming
From Illinois
That sunset was AMAZING!
I have just discovered this channel. Absolutely amazing what you are doing here. I would love to do this but not sure I have the bottle 😀. After being stuck indoors for just about 2 years what with Covid and 2 back surgeries I could't think of anything better than sitting there outdoors with a beer or a whisky (especially in Scotland) in the piece and quiet with those views. Great work. 🥃
Awesomeness in a video. Stunning 😍
Brilliant Liam! Stellar as usual.
You’ll want to do the Scottish ones asap before the midges are out in force.
when do they come out heavy?
We did the West Highland Way last year in July and absolutely recommend you get out there ASAP, because those Scottish midges are fierce and will eat your eyelids 😅 it was still an incredible adventure regardless, but sans midges would have been preferable for sure!
Love your videos, Liam 👊
finally it's here ! also why'd you get rid of the awesome haircut you had back in 2020?
Dartmoor jail ale 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice one chief! Food looked fab, I love Rice Pudding too, straight outta the can, nice! Thanks for sharing Liam, enjoyed it!
I have watched all your videos mate I suffer with problems that have happened in my life young an old but your calming posts make me chilled an relaxed. Crack on with the good work👍
I'm not that old by the way just had hard life
And keep up the graft mate its great 👍
Thanks!
Great work!
Great content, as always Liam.
I was on Dartmoor just a day ago, lovely area.
Hi Liam, me and my fiance hiked the three peaks last week. Your videos inspired us to book the trip, thanks for your videos mate!
That sunset!
Yes your at my national park, the weather here is not always the best but when it is the landscape is amazing, the ponies are very common and walk around in the villages, keep up the great videos
No
Living the dream mate, love your videos! Enjoy :)
Loving these wild camping videos Liam but from an original subscriber, when’s the next combi van camping video ? ;)
I can relate to these videos a lot as I spend a lot of time hiking in the hills, nearly every weekend and camping in my caddy camper van 🤙🏼
