This will always have a place in my heart. It wasnt my first coaster. But as an 8 year old in 09. It was my first looping coaster. I remember being so scared. When I saw the launch i started freaking out. Begging to leave. But my mom just said ill be fine. Part of me wanted to ride. Part of me didnt. So i didnt leave. In those days i remember them not having a count down and more just randomly launching down track at any time. My face in the picture showed it all. I ended up loving it. Fast foward to 2015. We get to go again. I waited in line this time as a 13 year old and one who loved coasters. Still a bit nervous but not scared. I loved it that time. We went back again on our last day as part of our extended hours pass. I rode it by myself once and then one lass time with my mom. Later that year she was diagnosed with cancer and died in October. Its only fitting that the first looping coaster i ever rode with my mom was also the last looping coaster that i got to ride with her. Will always be a top 10 coaster for me
That's beautiful, I went on at 11 scared out of my witts, like u, I wanted to leave and didn't. Haven't done it since, referring back to this vid to build myself up to it again. Wasn't sure if I wld do it, but after reading this, I think I shld. Well done for sharing ur story so publicly, and rest in peace to ur mom x
That's pretty neat with lights on. When you ride in the dark you really have no sense of how tight the tracks are to itself as it loops around. Very cool.
This is my favorite ride. I’ve been on it a million times but every time I’m in the line my heart races and especially sitting there knowing what’s going to happen and the countdown. Then I love it again the second it blasts off
I had the honor of being a cast member on the opening crew for Rocking Roller Coaster. That meant a lot of preliminary rides before opening to the public, some in the dark and some with the lights on. Lit up was, to me, always scarier because you saw every beam and post that potentially could knock your head off. RRC was and still is my favorite WDW ride.
that countdown is just so different then any other launch coaster ive been on. The theming on this ride is INCREDIBLE . Disney, never EVER retheme this because omg. this. is. my. fav. coaster. ever!
savannah marshall - Each of the trains plays a different Aerosmith song. I love screaming the lyrics along with them, but I’m a longtime Aerosmith fan so I know all the words.
@Dylan D'Agostino have u ever on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios in Orlando,FL ??It's a coaster in which riders get to choose a song from several genres of music that they want to play during the duration of the ride .
i remember riding this when i went to disney studios before the retheming to hollywood studios when it was the old mgm. this ride was amazing. i'm blind, so can't see the theming, but the sound track when you're on the ride is really something, adds to the experience of a normal coaster, and that launch is just fantastic too. the person i visited the park with did try to describe the signs and things as we rode the second time. a very good coaster that has stood the test of time.

this ride is a vibe. obviously the camera does no justice but this is one of my favorites because of the feeling they give you. excited before the excitement. you're not even nervous just excited
First launched coaster was this one. Something about how violent the launch was really stuck with me - even going on TTD, Accelerator, etc - I can still remember how the launch on this one took my breath away
Just rode it, really fun. I was nervous about it going upside down but I actually loved that part. I would highly recommend this to anyone scared of going upside down, it will change your view of that.
If you think this coaster is boring, you must consider 99% of Disney World's rides and attractions as dogshit lmao. I mean this is literally their best coaster, and all it is it a clone of Xpress by Vekoma.
RemixedVoice I’m just talking about the layout, it doesn’t really do anything, when not doing an inversion, it just meanders around, plus the mid course kills the momentum so hard
This is my favorite ride in Disney, IT NEVER GETS OLD regardless of how many times I ride it! I love gettting launched into the darkened freeways of Los Angeles.
Great to have this P.O.V. video as we are still stuck with the dismay of having to cancel all of our Disney World plans for this Spring Break and supposedly the Summer, too. Thanks, ProjectSunset! We all owe you one, as Aerosmith/Disney World/Music fans!!!!!!

I rode this the other day on my 22nd birthday and they only rollercoaster I had ever been on previously (in my entire life) was slinky dog dash, like 20 minutes before i got on this one. First I went on it I was nervous, even though I’d been on bigger and equally as fast launch’s. When I got in there was an immediate delay then we went round the corner. Bro the count down made my heart race so fast. No cap the launch is just too good and the music is legendary
Yes. I remember in 09 the launch was random there wasn't a countdown. But at some point they put that countdown in. I went again in 15. However they did make the launch happen at 1 instead of 0 or go to still keep it a bit surprising. Glad they didn't completely ruin the launch aspect
For this being one of my very first rollercoasters that had inversions I enjoyed it. Scared to death to go on it but after I rode with a British guy since I was on the single riders line that dude helped me get through that ride wonder where he is now tbh. That guy helped me see the fun in those rollercoasters and he was right after the first time they aren't so bad. I wanted to ride it again, still do.
When did you sit next to this British guy? I remember being in single riders reassuring someone lol. And I am also British! Chances are pretty slim though, let's be honest...
went on this a few weeks ago. I'm known in my family for backing out of rides/being scared of them. I remember my first time going on this my dad lied to me and said "It doesn't go upside down" and when it did in the middle of the ride I was yelling at him- We ended up going on it twice and this is the ride that got me brave enough to go on the Hulk ride FIVE TIMES IN A ROW and Rip Ride Rockit
I mean while i was at the line there was a voice message that said "Remember this has dark areas, fast speed and upside downs" (i was terrified while hearing it)

They were like “oh no it’s fine it’s really gentle and you don’t go upside down or anything.” (I didn’t own a phone yet, otherwise I would’ve totally looked it up). No one told me to put my head back so it slammed into the seat when we accelerated and I was out. I came back around the 1:15 part of the ride. It’s nice to watch it with light ..My son and I got on that ride . It was really good ..and fast 💨 . Can’t wait to go back to Disney world , these places bring out my inner child.
one time at disneyland paris my brother took his phone out to record so mid countdown they stopped the ride and told him to put it away. basically, the whole ride was now out of sync so we launched completely unexpectedly then rode the rest of the ride with zero music. i already had so much adrenaline from the out of the blue launch but the creepiness of a silent rollercoaster which is normally upbeat and rockin just added to it. best rollercoaster experience of my life.
Oh yes! What you experienced is called a launch inhibit. The launch sequence is manually activated by a cast member in the control booth. However if they see someone with their phone out or other loose items they will inhibit the ride and tell you to put the item away. However usually the music still works so that’s an odd glitch.
I still remember getting on this, this was the first time I had ever been on a Roller Coaster that went upside down. I had until then been scared of that. Since this is inside a building, I didn't know that it went upside down until I got strapped into the seat and the announcement said something about keeping your hands inside because the track has loops and I was like WHAT! NO lol. But I did it anyway and loved it, been on as many roller coasters that have loops as much as I could since then.
Same, this ride was the first ride I ever went on with inversions, I’m from the UK so a few months when we came back we went to Alton towers for my brothers birthday. I rode the smiler 3 times that day.
Ok so I just rode this for the first time, and it was.. FANTASTIC! I eventually rode it another time. Honestly, I regret not riding this sooner But this is my first looping coaster so I’m glad I waited till I was fully ready. The loops were surprisingly not bad at all. It feels like your flying yet being pushed in/out of your seat and you take a HUGE turn to the sides. This definitely bumped up to be my second favorite ride at Disney and I’m so excited to ride it again! :D
Glad you enjoyed the ride! It’s a great experience. And yes Coaster inversions usually aren’t bad. They’re designed with G forces in mind so you stay in your seat and it doesn’t make you sick. If you look at an average vertical loop you’ll notice it’s not a perfect circle but shaped more Ike an upside down teardrop. This is to accommodate for the forces and gravity.
I adore this coaster. It’s so whatever with the lights on but with the lights off and Aerosmith playing its magic. I know a retheme is coming and it will break my heart

This was my first ever "hardcore" rollercoaster and will hold the spot for the best rollercoaster in existence for me. Explanation time. So, I tend to chicken out in almost any rollercoaster line I get into... The reason I gave Rock N Rolleroaster a shot was because it was a launch coaster, which means, no drops or long chain lifts.

Disney, never EVER retheme this because omg. this. is. my. fav. coaster. ever!
I was showing this to a friend after my trip and I didn't even realize there was music playing the whole time.
Guess I was screaming too loud.
savannah marshall - Each of the trains plays a different Aerosmith song. I love screaming the lyrics along with them, but I’m a longtime Aerosmith fan so I know all the words.
@Dylan D'Agostino Mine did the first time I road it too. I've also had Sweet Emotion which really fits this ride too lol.
Yes indeed it has! :D

@@toplonghorn831My screenreader lets me read notifications and replies. plus there are some lights on videos where people are commenting on what they come across, especially during "in show exits." TPM vids is good for those, very audio heavy in all their videos. also, I was with someone who could see when I was riding the coaster. we went round twice, and the second time they were able to focus on the theming a bit more and describe it to me off ride. even with no theming, EG how I experienced the ride as a rider who is blind, it's still a really good coaster.
this ride is a vibe. obviously the camera does no justice but this is one of my favorites because of the feeling they give you. excited before the excitement. you're not even nervous just excited
First launched coaster was this one. Something about how violent the launch was really stuck with me - even going on TTD, Accelerator, etc - I can still remember how the launch on this one took my breath away
Nice
57 mph in 2.8 seconds, roughly as fast as a Mclaren Senna.
THANK YOU! I love launching coasters, mainly due to this one, but it's very forceful. People really underestimate it.
sad that this is like the only coaster with an inversion at disneyworld
True, even the new guardians coaster is not to have any inversions
There’s a coaster with a inversion in Tokyo disney
Max Thrills which ride?

Experiencing that in the pitch darkness was amazing! Especially hitting that first loop right away after the blast off! The inertia was awesome!
Just rode it, really fun. I was nervous about it going upside down but I actually loved that part. I would highly recommend this to anyone scared of going upside down, it will change your view of that.

Pretty small ones, maybe 10ft drops
Can’t remember too well bc I went 2 months ago though
I’m scared of going upside down and me and my family might go so I’m trying this ride!
I see now why the lights are off, the ride is boring as sin without that part
If you think this coaster is boring, you must consider 99% of Disney World's rides and attractions as dogshit lmao. I mean this is literally their best coaster, and all it is it a clone of Xpress by Vekoma.
RemixedVoice I’m just talking about the layout, it doesn’t really do anything, when not doing an inversion, it just meanders around, plus the mid course kills the momentum so hard
@@Specialguy29 It's still fast as hell.
With the lights on, the building looks like a trash dump with all the signs and set pieces cluttering the place.

lies. no one just flies like that thru LA traffic. LIES, I tell you.
Zachary Scott u absolutely right.L.A traffic is like one of the worst in a west coast city and freeways are always shutdown
Well at that speed, you'd probably cause like 500 or so wrecks and a lawsuit at best. Realism isn't Disney's specialty.
That is one well designed coaster. The pre-show is pretty cool too.

Well, I'll tell you that it's a very different case if you were to ride it yourself with the lights on. also, the link is to a somewhat direct "clone" (not sure, might be the original version of the spaghetti bowl vekoma coaster, it simply had a later opening date).
This has to be one the coolest roller coasters I’ve ever ride!
The countdown to launch
The music
The inversion
The theme
Such a fun ride, even better with the lights off.
I love this coaster. So good. It's definitely better with the lights off but impressive to see how well it's built.
Well now I know it’s just the start of this ride that freaks me out awesome video
I rode this the other day on my 22nd birthday and they only rollercoaster I had ever been on previously (in my entire life) was slinky dog dash, like 20 minutes before i got on this one. My friend turned to me when we entered the loading area and said "don't look" but unfortunately she didn't say it soon enough, and watching the ride shoot off into that tunnel was terrifying lol. I ended up loving it though!

Same here. I first rode when I was six, This ride pretty much shaped me into an enthusiast
Drops make my stomach turn. You are in the loop for less than a second so by the time you realize your upside down its already over
