My first time growing these Noodle beans. I had no idea how to cook them. Ran across your video. I love how you explained how to cook them. I was going to do them as normal. I'm so glad you explained why not to boil them. Very informative and delicious recipe. Thank you.
Bought some at the Farmers Market yesterday and after watching your video made these immediately. They were absolutely delicious. I wish I'd bought more. Thanks for a great recipe!
You are right about growing them. They are fun to grow and their flowers are so pretty. This is my first year growing them and they have been producing a LOT! Try them with toasted Sesame oil, in addition to the butter and soy sauce, for a real Asian flair. Yum! You could also add Oyster Sauce or Fish Sauce or both (toasted Sesame oil and Fish Sauce). These flavors go really well together.
This is my first year to grow these beans and I made the mistake to cook them like green beans with new potatoes. What a mistake! BUT……I then found your recipe and I just cooked some and they were delicious and so fast. Yummy! Thank you so much. These beans will be a staple in my garden from now on. Love the way they hang down on a cattle panel used as a trellis. The pollinators love them too. I’m in Central Texas and with our heat, they do not struggle to grown. They are wonderful. Thank You again.( Didn’t have soy sauce but used balsamic vinegar and they were still delicious.)
You are welcome! I'm so glad you found the video. I wanted to make sure to share the recipe, because it's hard to know what to do with them. They are high producers. You can also precook them, and freeze them for later. I hope you enjoy them as much as i do.
This looks good. We have a ton of long beans growing now here in N. Florida, and the only way we've cooked them is by roasting them with potatoes. I'm going to try way this tonight.
I like radish pods, but i prefer Rat Tail Radish. Have you ever grown those? The pods are longer, about 4 inches, and tender. I wanted to showcase just noodle beans. They are one of my favorites to grow. I pick handfuls a day, and can never keep up. They are also great as a snack. Sauteed, then cooled down, ready to munch on.
How many plants did you have? It’s my first year growing them. I have about 8-10 plants on a cattle panel arch trellis. Currently only a couple inches tall. Researching how to cook with them for later. Was inspired to grow them from following Roots and Refuge on YT.
I grew 6 on each side. My trellis was covered!!! They produce a lot of beans. Thank you for watching the recipe. It's the best way to eat them. They do not boil well. They really need to be sautéed. You can freeze them too! I hope you enjoy them! I love Asian noodle beans!
This is my first time growing them but I haven’t cook them yet just today I pick like 6 but I so another video and she boil them first and they don’t change color they stay purple.
I don't know if the seeds are available anymore. If you want, shoot me an email and i can send you some seeds. It's never too late to grow beans. We have a long growing season. My email is Bigbluehousehomestead@gmail.com

Ok, I admit ... I thought you would be leaving them long and fixing them somehow like in a pasta dish! Foolish me!! Looked good!
I'm sure they can be cooked as noodles. But that's a big bite to chew. LOL They were really delicious. The kids enjoyed them too
Thanks. I’m growing them for the first time. Can you can these like green beans?
I have never tried to can them. I usually just freeze any that i don't eat fresh
This is my first time growing them but I haven’t cook them yet just today I pick like 6 but I so another video and she boil them first and they don’t change color they stay purple.
do these freeze well for winter stir frys?
I don't blanch them, when i freeze them. They absorb the water, and taste like nothing. I just cut them up and freeze them .
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead Thank you! we are growing these for the frist time and we love them.. just way more than we can eat! very prolific!
