Most videogame promotions like this, that i know of, are either US or US and China exlusive. EU and Asia are always left out... This isn't a Blizzard-only issue.
Great vid! Glad to see you uploaded again, wish it was under better circumstances tough. I agree with the points in your video and like how you gave an example of a better move set. You don't just complain, you try to improve :) I think it's ridiculous how Blizzard is afilliating with a company like Funko that mass produce plastic garbadge that get shipped in plastic prisons. Actually glad it was a limited run so less of it can end up in landfills in a few years. The ingame pet just feels like the whole 20th anniversary and 11.05 patch: pushed too early without any love put into it at all, except for the ways so grab money.
They're having a mountain dew promo in November, with a sweet looking flame motorbike. I'm in Australia so my only chance is purchasing jacked up codes on eBay. We could get the previous mountain dew promo battle-bots not sure why it's different this time
@@johnathoncarter it makes me wonder if it's because of Microsoft/Xbox, since they've partnered in the past with similar promotions, but I haven't looked into whether those past promotions were also limited. If they were, I imagine it was because of legalities.
I'm sure that with the moveset, they wanted to ensure that this pet wasn't something pet battlers felt they _needed_ to pay to have, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have just copied the moves from another ice pet so that there were at least options for battlers who didn't want to pay or couldn't afford to.
It's a good guess, but they have quite a few pets that have unique/decent move sets that are attached to very expensive things, like upgrades for expansions. Upgrading to Epic (I think?) TWW gets you 3 pets that have some really cool moves & move sets you definitely don't see on fliers. Or Blizzcon pets. The newest RaF pet is pretty good because it has Build Turret + Explode. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to place this one firmly in the, 'whoever they assigned this to had no idea/imagination for what to do with the move set".
I believe someone tried from Canada, but wouldn't let them because the billing address was outside the US. Now if someone in the US tried to buy it for someone and the shipping address was outside the US, I can't say whether or not that would work.
@@lukaslange4666 I agree. I can understand not wanting to hurt Funko sales by announcing a Trading Post release, but I think they underestimate the, 'I want it now' crowd. I imagine if we do see it on the TP it'll be for all regions, and no sooner than a year from now.
I'm sensing an opinion here... no really... don't hold back, embrace the energy, release the feelings, tell the rando commenter to shut up, it's ok ;) Seriously, I don't know what or when they might actually have plans for any real pet battle attention, but this is a prime example of "WTF!?" filler that we've been getting. Finger's crossed on any kind of miracles in the future
Yeesh! Enough with paying way more than any store pet, especially a recolor of yet another murk. I also dont understand more promotions only in one country. Some imagination could find something else, but they couldn't find enough to do a blizzcon on the 20th and 30th anniversaries?! Oh BTW Arfus can suck it! @@dragonsafterdark1 i understand, I've been there, i'm glad youre back because i like your videos, I think all the promotions this year are soooo tacky and just suck, its not as if it brings in new players really? why would a new player care at most of it? it's just scummy trying to milk the players for what we have, i wish these rewards were actually earnable in game, ice murloc couldve had something to do with the ice rink at the anniversary, or maybe those battle pet quests could...actually have a reward???
Meh they have servers all over the world, and offices in a few countries, not counting the international reach of Microsoft. They happily sell their product all over and take the money. Think of all of your customers.
I mean, at least for that $30 you get a physical item with it, unlike a certain $90 game-only mount...
Yeah, but on the downside, they give you a funko pop.
Thank you for calling attention to this. I'm beyond pissed about the mt dew mount.
I haven't even looked into what goes into all the Mt. Dew stuff, but I think it involves multiple purchases for points, and I'm just 💀

I haven't looked in-depth at the other pets yet, but they'll probably be next. The event itself does feel like an over-complicated TW event. xD
On the UK store only 252 of these were available...what a sick joke ._.
I heard that as well. It truly beggars belief.

Does the code even work if you buy it from europe on the US blizzard gear store ?

I'd like to see the pet battling system get reworked.
Yes, please 🙏
Hopefully they can release the pet on the trading post at some point. Atleast to the EU folks.

Yep, dissapointing.
